The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved grant funding. FEMA has agreed to provide $180,000 for the $241,000 project. Another $28,000 would come from the state. If the city council moves ahead with the plan, the city would acquire the old Stanford EMS building and two homes on South Second Street. The city would tear down the buildings and use the area for greenspace.

Crab Orchard Teen and Her Grandfather Shot

A Lincoln County teenager allegedly shot by her grandfather early this morning has been released from the hospital.
