(From Christ Talbert at AP) “If musicians were measured not by the number of records they sold but by the number of peers they influenced, JJ Cale would have been a towering figure in 1970s rock 'n' roll.
His best songs like "After Midnight," ''Cocaine" and "Call Me the Breeze" were towering hits — for other artists. Eric Clapton took "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" and turned them into the kind of hard-party anthems that defined rock for a long period of time. And Lynyrd Skynyrd took the easy-shuffling "Breeze" and supercharged it with a three-guitar attack that made it a hit.
Cale, the singer-songwriter and producer known as the main architect of the Tulsa Sound, passed away Friday night at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, Calif. His manager, Mike Kappus, said Cale died of a heart attack. He was 74.”

21. BIGGIST LIE THAT YOU'VE EVER BEEN TOLD? “You make your own luck.” The first person who said that had never had bad luck.

22. BLONDES, BRUNETTES, REDHEADS OR BALD? When dealing with the French Twins, we had it all. They were bald once. They were old once. A new reader once commented, “They don’t look French” and I responded, “Check back tomorrow.” The next day they were African American.

23. WHO DO YOU PHONE MOST? At one point I would have said, “My neighbor’s wife.”

24. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB? The first non-WTIT blog was Saturday 9. I started it because a meme about 3 played called Saturday 8 went under. I created Samantha because at the time I thought it gave the blog a better chance to succeed. It worked. I told NO ONE that I wrote it. My girlfriend at the time (the not-so-bright Dragon Lady) picked a fight with me because she thought Sam was coming on to me.

25. WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE SUNDAY STEALING? Saturday 9. It was so successful, I took a feature I had done almost since the inception of the blog, that I really enjoyed and syndicated it. I hoped a few would play. There was a long time that we had 70+ players. I then got recruited to help do Thursday Thunks. That sucked because the charm was the original authors. I tried to do it in their style. Berleen & Kimber were really at the same point that I am with Stealing. I ended up writing it all. When I pressed them back to help, it ended. After that, I had “The Dating Profiles Meme”, “Wednesday Wickedness”, “Rock ‘n Roll Fridays (although after week one, Kathy took it over). One by one I cut back until not only I just did “Sat-9” and “Stealing” but also it changed THIS blog. At that point, I cut back the once 6-day a week WTIT Blog to weekends. That’s when we lost our audience. I did not know it then, but that move made this one inevitable.

We never used this one.

26. IF YOU COULD GET PLASTIC SURGERY WHAT WOULD IT BE? I’d rather Samantha Winters and Judd Corizan could use surgery to be brought to life. I’m gonna miss them as much as my blogging buds.

27. WHY DID YOU FILL OUT THIS SURVEY? Another miss. When I proofed this meme, I did not know it would be my last post. Had I, I would have included questions to make it easier to say goodbye. If you go through (now why would you) the list of “Previous Victims” on Stealing, there are a lot of “dead” blogs. No one ever said goodbye. Through the years, most of my friends have left the blogosphere, but no one said goodbye. Even Thom came back once to speak of a horrible tragedy he went through, but he never said “goodbye”. Back to the question: The reason I “filled out this survey” was to say goodbye.

28. WHAT DO YOU GET COMPLIMENTED ABOUT MOST? I think most readers really enjoy the French Twins. I took a concept that you only see in porn films and made it folksy and silly.

29. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF ALCOHOL BECAME ILLEGAL? After I lost my job? Maybe I’d do that radio show I’ve missed so much.

30. HOW MANY KIDS DO YOU WANT/HAVE? I have four children. I have been estranged from one for a few years. I always thought that happened to other people. It’s a burden that I carry heavily. I’ve never written about it because I never wanted to burden you or appear to want sympathy. The three that I still have, I’m extremely close to. I have three grandchildren who are a joy.

31. DO YOU WISH ON STARS? They wish on me.

32. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? No, even I can’t read it.

33. WHEN DID YOU LOSE YOUR VIRGINITY? I think in this space I always said it was a teacher. Of course, it was not. I was 16 with my 16-year-old girlfriend. I must have enjoyed it since I never stopped.

34. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Yes. I hope I keep my friends from here. I’ve got a standing offer to all who read this to become facebook friends. But, it might just be that these memes were all we had in common. It will play out, as it should.

35. DO LOOKS MATTER? Not to the blind, only if you can actually see. After all, "A Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse". I think someone thought I was just trying to get “help” with the memes. Not so. I just offered the forums. I'm glad that Lance took over Stealing & Gal is perfect as Sam.

36. HOW DO YOU RELEASE ANGER? I throw pillows around.

37. DO YOU TRUST OTHERS EASILY? No. I expect the worst from strangers. I am seldom disappointed.

39. DO YOU USE SARCASM? Only when I speak or write. Otherwise, never.

40. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A MOSH PIT? This was a fine question to end it all with.

I was going to do this big farewell, highlighting my best posts. I would have picked the interview that I did with Saddam Hussein just before he was killed, for one. I called it “Some Are Well Hung”. But I realized, that this blog is a shell of all those creative posts. I really don’t feel as though I’m leaving the blogosphere, it left me. I feel by 2010, facebook had crushed it. Why write a post when you can copy a stupid picture and just ask people to like it. When I post on WTIT’s facebook page I get double the views as here. And this is so much harder.

I hate pointing people out, because I might miss someone. But I really have to say something to the four friends that have been with me the longest.

Kwizgiver- I’m sure you are a great teacher. I hope George comes to his senses. I will miss the stories of your family. Your sisters are a “hoot”.

Gal- I hope we see the Cubs win it all. My dad is 86 and an 80-year fan. He watches every inning, no matter how bad the season gets. I hope you both get your wish. I hope things with your mom’s estate are resolved so that you can move on. I am so sorry for your loss.

Diana- You have taught me so much. And not just about all things trans. Your story has opened me up to once again to realize that the older I get, the less I know.

Harriet- There is not a harder working blogger out there. I’ve enjoyed the journey together and through FB we will be in touch. Oh, and you gotta stop saying that you are old. Your spirit is forever young!

Cat- a bit belated but heartfelt. Your "Sweet Memes" blog taught me a lot about memes. And truth be told, Samantha stole some questions from you...

In about a month, this blog will be reorganized to emphasize the WTIT stories, but it will all remain and the posts that you might want to reread, will be easy to find. On October 20^th, I will marry Kathy. We originally met at a nightclub where in the 70s, I was the star DJ, Gary Hunter. We had 300 people a night. In 2010, after 35 years and a 2 year search Kathy found me. We met for a drink. The rest, as they say – and those fuckers will say it – is history. This has nothing to do with this blogs close, but I wanted to thank her for her support. I also thank my son James. He set this blog up without my knowledge. I said, "What the fuck is WTIT:The Blog?" He said, "You'll learn. You'll like it". It was a great six year adventure.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. Thank you for stopping by here. I will miss it all very much. I always ended my radio show by saying, “No problem is too big, too complicated or too complex that it can’t be run away from. And that’s what I’m doing now.” Peace & love.

Every Saturday WTIT: The Blog brings you a meme called Saturday 9. It’s not to say that this is a bright idea, but it is what we do. A woman named Crazy Sam started this meme because a prior popular Saturday meme specialist Lola had retired. So, Sam contacted all Lola’s participants and invited us to participate in her meme. Saturday 9: Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out

1. When did you last feel down and out? Probably making the decision to exit the blogosphere. While I know it’s my time, it’s still sad. The truth is that I really enjoyed playing the “bad boy bachelor”, even though the character wasn’t a lot like me. But once I stopped being a bachelor, it became more difficult. The cutting back the WTIT Blog to weekends, eliminated the rather large daily readership I enjoyed. I will miss visiting with you guys every weekend. (more than even the French twins!) 3. Do you think people think you are normal? No, I march to my own drumbeat. I think other than my kids, Kathy and the WTIT DJs, I’m a bit of an enigma.

4. What have you always wanted to do? I’d love another shot at a creative career, a morning show again would be excellent. But the money, job security and a job I enjoy really is great. Ending my blogs will give me time to remaster WTIT Comedy. I’ve started remastering the tapes themselves over the last couple of months.

5. What do you appreciate the most about your life at this time? That I’m marrying Kathy on October 20^th.

6. Have you ever made a fool of yourself? If yes, spill. Daily. Fuck the spilling part.

The Real Magical Mystery Tour

1. What’s the best memory that you have of your dad, while growing up? Walking in on him with hookers was a hoot. His excuse to Mom was he was thinking of giving me hookers for my 16^th birthday and it was his job to test drive them. Why Mom bought that is anybody’s guess.

2. How boring do you think your life is? I’m getting married in October. Nothing around here is boring.

3. Can you do any accents? If not, do you know someone who is good at it? Johnnie Walker does the best accents. My favorite memory while taping with him was when were doing a spoof of “The Hared Experiment”. He was playing a Latino and realized he slipped into an Italian accent. Bouncing Billy was his date. Johnnie says, “I dunno know. Somea times I’m Puerto Rican and others I’m Italian. I think I’ll stick to Italian.” Billy smiled and said, “I love spaghetti.” It brought the house down. We had to stop recording, until we got it back together.

4. What technology did you at first fear that you now could not live without? I’ve never feared technology, bit I thought smart phones was way over the line. That was until I got one.

5. Do you, or have you ever, thought you have a book in you? Unfortunately, yes. At Kathy’s coaxing I have finally started it. However, I am so wrapped up transferring WTIT Tapes to digital, that it will have to wait a bit.

6. How does the weather effect where you live? In summer we sweat our ass off, in winter we freeze it off. That’s the weather. Stay tuned for news & sports.

7. Are you more interested in you favorite artist’s next work, or the TMZ side of it all? The work is the story.

8. Have you ever felt “battled-scarred” by a relationship or relationships in general? If yes, do tell. You can’t have been single for as long as I without a few battle scars. When you meet the right person, they all seem to go away.

9. Do you tend to root for the bad guy? Which film? In life rooting for bad? Not so much. See you with Judd.

Welcome again to S t e al i ng which we bring you weekly on The WTIT Blog. We have gotten really good at just stealing a meme from someone else’s post. (You can play meme with Judd and the official Sunday Stealing meme.) Last week we asked you to recommend a meme that you did that we can steal. Here are two of them, so both of them can play along as well. They are now added to our "Previous Victims" list. The first is from a blogger named cChibiNatsumi21 from the blog The Unfulfiller of Expectation. It’s 88 questions, we will do it in parts. She does not state where she found the meme. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Let's go!

Sunday Stealing: The 88 Meme, The Last Part, Thankfully

69. Song you're thinking of right now? Joy to the World by Three Dog Night. I am transferring WTIT tapes to digital and it starts “The Bud Fabrication” which I briefly used as a title. Here’s a coincidence: The tape is number 69 and so is the question. Totally accidental, since I just woke up.

70. Want someone back in your life? Yes, but on my own terms.

71. Will tomorrow be better than today? Tomorrow starts my vacation. Oh, baby!!! You know what sucks moose? Waiting for response cards for our wedding.

72. What's the color of the underwear you are wearing? Grey. Hope that saves lives.

73. Who was the first best friend that you ever had? Galloping Gary. He along with Bouncing Billy founded WTIT with me. Thanks to fb, we are back in touch frequently. His is one of the responses we haven’t received for our wedding. I hope he makes it.

74. How do you react when someone disappoints you? Like any rational person, I shoot them.

75. Is there anyone who understands your sexuality? Ha! I’ll go with “Yes, Kathy”. We were gonna wait till our wedding night, of course, but alcohol happens.

76. Are you a naturally happy person? Or is your happiness forced? Neither. I generally medicate.

77. Is there anyone you wish would fall in love with you? I only have eyes for the woman who will honor me by becoming my bride.

78. What do you wear when you sleep? Last night it was grey underwear & a Beatles’ tee.

79. Are you obsessed with something right now? The transferring of WTIT tapes to digital. The quality of the first 6 months of recording was horrible. Along with transferring, I can remaster. It’s a ton of work, but the finished product keeps blowing me away. On the final tape that I worked on last night, from 1972, near the end I said “I hope this song fits on the tape.” It didn’t. But now it does.

80. The first person you loved is? My mommy? I suppose the moron who wrote this fucker (as opposed to the moron who stole it) meant “romantically”. I’ll go with my high school flame, Sally. We still chat every five years or so. She broke up with me because she was an over-the-top born again and I had left religion at age 14. She said, “God came to me in a vision. He told me to marry a religious person.” I was a freshman at college and it totally crushed me. But how do you argue with God?

Sally more recently.

She had what I guess you’d call a nervous breakdown a couple of years later. Her mom called and said, “I don’t know who else to ask for help. She’s in a mental institution and you are the sanest person who ever was in her life. Can you visit her?” How could I say no? I had to ask my present GF for “permission”. She was completely supportive. It was a bad move on her part. An 19 year old guy getting together with his first love, was not a bright move. My GF came over while I was recouping from surgery. She walked into my bedroom to see Sally sitting on my bed hand my hand. She forbade me from seeing her again. That didn’t really work out. Eventually I had to choose. I married my GF. I figured God might return.

Sally wound up marrying a minister. After my divorce from my GF, I called Sally. She told me about her great marriage and kids. We were about to get off the phone and she said, “I fell in love with him because he was so much like you.” I responded, “Except for the ‘God’ part.” Sally laughed hard. She finally said, “Yes, except for that.”

81. Something terrible happened with you? I spent a year fighting a staph infection. Everyone including my doctor thought I’d not survive. That was in 2003. The experience changed me a great deal.

82. You are locked up with your celebrity crush for days, what happens? I’d say, “Forget it, Jill. You had your chance.”

83. If you could wish something, what would it be? World peace. Obviously, I tried out for the Miss America contest.

84. Ever try to force someone to do something? Never forced, but encouraged strongly.

85. When you are alone, what do you think about? The usually shit.

86. How was your first sex? Fun.

87. What's your favorite music genre? Rock. From Buddy Holly through The Beatles, classic rock through Fitz and the Tantrums…

This Is How We Got The Google Warning

1. When was the last time that you asked for your money back? When I received a bill “for services rendered #hosting a fucking meme” from Judd Corizan. I sent him the twenty-five bucks that he asked for, but after all these years I decided to eliminate him and host Stealing myself. Then the fucktard sent me a copy of the binding legal agreement allowing him to host Stealing until 2033. I told him that I wanted my money back or I’d let everyone know that he’s sleeping with Crazy Sam. (That’s one video I don’t wanna see again.)

2. What was the last thing that you did to help someone? I told Crazy Sam that Judd was a love-em & leave-em kinda guy. That’s how I got a copy of that fucking video. Sam said, “Could a guy love you like this and then leave you?” I told her “Yes, indeed”. Fortunately, I had a video of Judd doing the Dragon Lady. She was crushed but wrote me, “That’s one fuckin’ ugly lady. Plus, he didn’t do the Crazy 8 maneuver. That proves he loves me more.” I told her that I was going to host Saturday 9. That’s when I got her binding legal agreement allowing her to host Sat-9 until 2033.

3. At what point of your life do you think you started to understand who you are? The moment I realized that I could invent people who do nasty sex videos.

4. Are there times when you thought you had taken a fall, only to discover more about yourself? No. Although it only cost $100 to get the Dragon Lady to go.

5. What was the last thing you did where you could not believe in what you were doing? In question 2 I outed The Dragon Lady. But, upon further review, I thought it was childish. I left her idenity out. So I’m posting this pick of Sam and Judd from the video:

6. Do you think that you must struggle to become strong? Nope, I discovered for $100 almost anybody would go away, except for avatars.

7. Do you feel that your dreams have meaning or are entirely random? I dream of Jeanie.

8. What was the last promise you broke? I once joined “Bloggers With Integrity.” When I reread this post, I realized that I didn’t have enough integrity for them. I mean, in my real life with getting married in 35 days, I’ve got plenty. But here? Not so much.

9. Do you collect anything? Just old memes. It’s in that fucking legal agreement with Judd. Perhaps, I’ll do better tomorrow. But since I’m sure I lost all my readers after the first fucking question, it matters not what I’m typing here. Oh. Kathy just called. She’s painting our deck. I gave her $60 for paint. She found a closeout that cost only $14. She’s psyched. Bye-bye!

Sunday Stealing: The 88 Meme, Part Three

46. What are your LEGAL initials? FU

47. Who's the first B in your contacts? Barack Obama. He's gonna be reelected.

48. When was the last time you laughed really hard? Last night watching Bill Maher. He pointed out that Romney mentioned neither Afghanistan or the troops at his convention. Mitt said “It was an oversight”.

49. Your number 1 top friend walks out of your life, do you go after them? I usually don’t say “it would depend on the circumstances” but it would depend on the circumstances.

50. Explain your last awkward moment? It was back when I was still seeing the French twins. It’s kinda of long story, but a bit of advice: If you’re in bed with twins, don’t ask their younger sister might want to “join in.”

51. Are you afraid of the dark? It would be hard to now. Kathy uses a night light that could guard the top of barb wired fences at a prison.

52. Do you have good vision? I did. The I turned 40. 40 generally comes with reading glasses.

53. Have you ever tripped someone? Not today. So far.

54. Have you ever slapped someone? I have four kids. Do the math.

55. Are you Irish? My mother’s ancestors were from Ireland. I consider myself American.

56. Do you use chap stick? Only when I need it. I’m really sorry about this meme. The other parts I edited out questions like the last 7. But, in truth I forgot to post. Thank you Harriet for mentioning it in my Saturday 9 comments. But, I was not in the mood to rewrite the fucker. Anyway, next week is the last part of this one. Not that the next one won’t suck the big one, but at least it will probably suck in a different way.

I keep saying that I should walk away from all this. I penned a blog once with my GF at the time called The Rising Blogger. We would review and award great posts. We posted five days a week. It burnt us out so much that we gave it to a blogger and attorney named Janey (also known as JHS,Esq). When she totally revamped the blog I hated it. But she kept it going another year & a half, and when I see it now, I realize that she did a great job. FYI- I made up the character of Judd Corizan to host it, so nobody would hassle us to get nominated. Janey was clear that Judd was not going to continue. The timing was perfect because I was decided to syndicate Sunday Stealing. Stealing had been a feature in my blog well over a year before it had it’s own blog. I’m afraid that if I gave away these weekend blogs that I’d regret it. So it continues.

I started writing my book on The Beatles. I started it as a term paper for a psych class in college. It got an A+ and the professor asked to keep a copy. I think to actually write it, I’d have to stop blogging. A catch 22 actually. I’d hate for someone to kill Judd off again.

57. Do you have any scars? I’ve had nine spinal surgeries, so no of course.

58. Is there someone you will never forgive? Yes. Especially the aforementioned GF from The Rising Blogger. I call her now The Dragon Lady. I handled our break up lousy. But the shit she pulled in attempts to get me back included an anonymous email to Kathy. She thought she was SO clever. But she mentioned a couple of things only she would know. Hate is a strong word, but I really, really, really don’t like her.

59. Are you dating the person you last held hands with? No I am marrying her.

60. Name the last person to text you? Amazon. Kathy tells me what we need for the wedding and I buy it. I love that I don’t have leave my chair to do it.

61. Would you marry someone 8 years older than you? No.

62. Can you go in public looking like you do? Yes. In fact, I’m taking Kathy out to eat shortly and I just need my boat shoes.

63. Have you ever kissed someone whose name started with a A? Of course. I was single in college, and after moronically I married at 21, by 40 we were SO done. I got four great kids out of that deal. But a guy married 18 years and now single is exactly like a kid in a candy store. Five years late I married again. That lasted only three years. So I was single from 1997 to 2010 when I met Kathy. There had to be an “A” along the way.

64. What side of the bed do you sleep on? The side closer to the door. I’m old fashioned that way. In a home invasion it would buy Kathy time.

65. What's the first thing you'll do on your wedding day? Have a Smirnoff Bloody Mary with any kinda luck.

66. Do you fall for people easily? No. I wasn’t single for 13 years because I fell easily. Football is back! My fantasy team is called the Enfield Elephants. Go Jumbos!

67. Has anyone put their arms around you in the past 5 days? Isn't "legs around" a better question?

68. Do you miss the way things used to be? I miss the excitement of a new Beatles album. I miss that something still happened at political conventions. I used to watch them gavel to gavel as a kid. You didn't already know who would win, who'd be Veep and all the back door deals. Remember when Reagan & Ford considered running as "co-presidents"?

Living in a Bubble

1. When was the last time that you danced in public? At my Uncle Fred and almost Aunt Marion’s wedding. There was a bit of dancing before the ceremony. Fred had done a lot of drinking that morning to take “the edge off”. He wound out making a pass at Marion’s sister before the nuptials. Had the sister said “no” it might have gone all right. When Marion caught them in the coatroom, it went downhill from there. The band was very good, however. Oh, and Fred did get married, it was to the sister.

2. Tell us about one of your closest friends. I can talk to her about anything and she’s always on my side. She’s very understanding. Yesterday she asked if I felt like a long drive today. I really wanted to please her, but I drive all day for a living. No problems, she’s off on that drive solo. I’m going to marry her on October 20th.

3. What is the most that you have ever lost? My virginity. It kept me from becoming a priest. Well that and the fact I hated The Church. We parted ways at 14.

4. What was the last thing that you have done to help a neighbor? I finally stopped doing his wife. I didn’t let him know it was because that I met Kathy. I’d rather him think I became a nicer guy.

5. It’s election season. What do you think the priorities of the United States really should be? Feed the poor, find jobs for all who want them, provided much better universal health care and pull the plug on wars.

6. What was the last severe weather situation that you and your neighbors endured? A “weather situation”? If I wrote these questions instead of stealing them, I’d be mad at myself.

7. Have you been or are you a vegetarian? Thoughts? Yuk.

8. If you had a wish for your future, what would it be? I wish facebook would decide it needs a Saturday & Sunday meme and pay me big bucks for the rights.

9. Who just doesn’t get it? Anyone who is not a billionaire supporting Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan.

Sunday Stealing: The 88 Meme, Part Two

23. Why do you think so many people cheat? If were talking fidelity here, and why not, I think too many people get married so young that they haven’t had all their “wild oats” sowed. I think that the older that you are, the more that you can fully commit. Or, people get drunk & take their close off. Go figure.

24. Tell me what's on your mind? Kathy has pushed me with a couple of personal projects. One was to start the book on The Beatles. I have started it, but it’s a big undertaking. The second is transferring WTIT tapes to digital. There are probably 1000 tapes, although the actual tape number we recently completed Tape 572, over the years the length of the tapes have changed. In our first year we used some super long reel-to-reel tape that could last 6 hours a side. By 1968, we used a faster reel-to-real setting and the tapes were 90 minutes per side. In 1985 we went improve the technology of our recording studio. The tape of choice would be cassettes that lasted 90 minutes, total. By 2000, we had a completely digital studio using the top of the line Sony Vaio desktop computer, beginning at The Penthouse Studio. When the Vaio died we scrambled. The Vaio costs twice as much as a normal computer. So we went first with an HP, and now a Lenovo. In addition, we currently use a digital board that records on a 6 hour flash drive. We try to keep each session to 90 minutes for consistency sake. We can edit on the computer while recording on the flashdrive.

25. What are you looking forward to in the next three months? I’m getting married next month. Kathy just painted the inside of our garage. Before you try to figure it all out, someone before us started to convert it to a room. It has a refrigerator & cabinet’s. The ceiling was 90% complete with a texture finish. Kathy painted the floor, walls and the rest of the ceiling with an off white and sparkles. With a big tent in the driveway, it will be our dining hall. She’s out painting our deck, now. And before you ask me why I’m not helping, I’ve had 9 spinal surgeries. So, along with financing it all, I’m a huge cheerleader. I have two best men, Harvey Wallbanger & Johnnie Walker. Rock Rolling is my groomsman. Johnnie asked what I wanted for a stag. I told him to organize a big recording night for WTIT. He told me that he knew I’d say that.

26. Have you ever worn the opposite sex's clothing? Not since I was a little kid. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

27. When did you last talk to your BFF? I’ve got several. Kathy, first and foremost said “goodbye” as she headed out to shop. Johnnie called me on Thursday to explain why we need to cancel that WTIT recording session. Harvey and I talk every couple of weeks. At last word, he’s fine.

28. When is your next road trip? That will be the honeymoon next month.

29. Do you have someone of the opposite sex you can tell anything to? I don’t think you can tell “everything” to anybody. Go for the Mass has ended, Grab a brochure and leave money on your way out.

30. How's your heart? Pure and innocent. Well, pure anyway.

31. Have you ever felt like you weren't important? If you’ve ever ended a relationship, or had one ended on you, you can get that feeling. I've generally poured a Smirnoff on the rocks, and then met someone else.

32. Do you think somebody's secretly in love with you? No.

33. What are you planning on doing after this? I will check out my blog bud’s responses.

34. Last time you yelled at someone? Kathy’s had trouble hearing, so I’ve had to yell occasionally.

35. Have you told anybody you loved them today? The aforementioned Kathy.

36. Who do you not get along with? No one that I will out on the Internet.

37. What does your most recent text say? I’ll look. It says, “What was the name of the newscaster that you were going to go out with? I’m with Ann Baldwin and some other radio personalities.” It was from my sister. The answer to her question was a woman who was separated and a huge local Hartford news anchor. We did a lot of talking and a lot of arranging, but it never happened. Her loss, is what I thought at the time.

38. What are you wearing right now? A Let It Be tee and jean shorts.

39. You're locked in a room with the person you last kissed in high school, how is it? Surreal.

40. When's the last time you had a grilled cheese? A couple of weeks ago I won an all expense trip to Switzerland. You gotta try their Swiss Grilled Cheese Surprise Delight. The surprise is that a naked waitress always delivers it.

41. What's your favorite boy and girl name? Bud & Kathy.

42. How did you feel when you woke up? Greeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaate. I’m like Tony.

43. Do you wish someone would call or text you right now? Kathy’s gonna call me to dinner soon, if that helps.

44. Do you think Clint Eastwood would have been better talking to a table? No. I think Dirty Harry should just fade away…quickly

Saturday 9: Always the Last to Know

1. When was the most recent time that you felt that you were the last to know something important? About four years ago, my company decided to close our office and let go or force retirement of the office crew. The only impact that it had on me, a big one, is that I have since done all the banking for my customers. I had to end three affairs and received flowers from one of their husbands.

2. Have you ever had a good thing in your life that never ended? I do now. I even watched Titanic last night. When it was released I stop seeing a woman because of her insistence that we see it.

3. Do you have any nasty habits? The worst were those nasty cigarettes. I have been tobacco free for over eight years.

4. What is something that you still do that you thought you'd outgrow? WTIT comes to mind. At first, some guys quit because they outgrew it and were embarrassed. Before more defections, we started having awesome parties. Guys begged to join WTIT. In high school we had eleven DJs at one point. WTIT normally had five DJs, but we’ve been at four since 2006.

5. Have you lost any of your dreams as time went by? I don’t think that you really lose dreams, they just change with age and circumstances.

6. As you've grown older, what ways are you still act and think the way you did as when you were younger? This fucking question would have been better had I actually use English to ask it. The answer to what was supposed to be the question is that my beliefs and interests have really never changed.

7. Is there a person in your life who still treats you as the same person your were when younger? Do you like it? Who cares? On a totally nonsensical item, we had our fantasy football draft on Wednesday night. My team plays my son-in-laws’ this coming week.

8. Have you let yourself go wild in any aspect of your life? Only at any opportunity that has come my way. Other than that, not much.

9. How do (or did) you parents feel about what you do for a living? They approve just about everything I do. They are in their late 80s and I’m glad that they will attend my wedding to Kathy next month. Happy Labor Day Weekend. We’ll return with Judd.

Sunday Stealing: The 88 Meme

1. What type questions do you hate on a meme? Almost all. Seriously, it’s the reach out and grab something that no one in their right mind would really do. Or who last texted you? You should see the crap I have to edit it out. For instance, "How many pillows do you sleep with?" "Swallow or spit?" Both bad, but for completely different reasons. This question, as an example was, "This survey gets a little personal; can you handle it?" I assume Jack Nicholson wrote it.

2. If you married the last person you texted, what would your last name be? Bud Hennessy. Jill & I still keep in touch.

3. Were you happy when you woke up today? I’m never great at getting up. I’m okay once the caffeine hits, but stay away until it has.

4. When were you on the phone last? And with who? My daughter Heather. We had had an overnight visit

with her hubby and my grandkids the night before. Kathy had made up my granddaughters fully through wigs. It was a riot.

5. Who are you excited for? Andy Pettitte. He’s gotta come back son. The Yankees season depends on it. Hey, this is TO important.

7. Honestly, who was the last person to tell you they love you? That would be Kathy. What happened to question 6? It’s easier to write an 88 question meme if you skip numbers.

8. What's the last thing you put in your mouth? The glass containing my Diet Coke. And yes, this oughta be a popular question.

9. Have a best friend? Several, none better than Kathy.

10. Were you ever or are you scared to fall in love? If you are scared, you are with the wrong person or still in recovery from your last relationship. So, yes. There have been long periods of time that I needed to be a party of one.

11. Do you think teenagers can be in love? With the horrible angst of it all goes with it? But yes. Take at Romeo and Juliet, please take them. I hate Shakespeare.

12. Last person you wanted to punch in the face? The guy who censored question 6. It might have been a good one. Nah. I only stole this because it was long and I good use it for four weeks.

13. What time is it right this second? Blow me.

14. What do you want right now? Fill my empty Diet Coke glass. Until I’m full awake, my needs are rather simple.

15. Who was the last person you took a picture with? We took these during my visit with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters (as seen here) You gotta buy them ice cream

16. Are you single/taken/heartbroken/or confused? We are getting married in October.

17. When was the last time you cried? When I had to tell the French twins that I was moving and we were done.

18. Do you have a good relationship with your parents? Yes. It is completely different with each one, but it’s all good.

19. Do you find it hard to trust others? No. Except meme authors who skip question 6.

20. How fast does your mind change? Not very. I can be rather stubborn. But I am sure this does not sock any one.

21. I bet you miss somebody right now. Who is it? My dog Happy. I mean he’s virtual, so in one way he can never leave. But we have neighbors whose dog is identical to Happy, but real. Kathy and I always waved at him. But, yesterday we discovered his family moving.

22. Can you honestly say you're okay right now? No. I think anyone who knows me, or even just read this tedious blog, would say I need serious help.

Saturday 9: I So Excited

Lindsay plays the horn.

1. What was the last event or situation that got you really excited? Seeing my kids or grandkids is the best. Yesterday my daughter Heather, husband Alec and my perfect granddaughters Lindsay and Lauren came and spent the night. They live over three hours away.b We had a blast. Kathy made up the girls and put wigs on them. Photos to come. Also recording a WTIT Tape Radio show gets me going. There was a shot on Thursday but it was cancelled. Looking forward, I really think Kathy has planned a fantastic wedding and party planned.

2. How old were you when you started working and what was your first job? I was 14 and worked in my family business.

3. Tell us about your grandparents. My maternal grandfather died before I was born and my fraternal grandfather died when I was 7. I have one memory of him baby-sitting and watching King Kong with me. I thought it was cool. Both my grandmothers had long lives. My maternal grandmother stayed with me summers while the rest of my family went to the shore. I was not going to fold WTIT for a fucking beach. My dad’s mother just came over on holidays. I think she was done with the kid thing, raising 6.

4. Do you procrastinate or are you usually on top of situations? Can I get back to you on this?

5. What would others say about you? Ask "the others". They should know.

6. Do you believe in life on other planets? After seeing the movie Game Change I do. Ed Harris starred as John McCain. As stupid as you thin Sarah Palin is, it is so much worse that I think she is an alien.

7. When was the last time that you were called too thin? I was sick from 2003-2004. When an infection is trying to kill you, you aren’t that hungry.

(You can play meme with Judd and the official Sunday Stealing meme.) Last week we asked you to recommend a meme that you did that we can steal. Here are two of them, so both of them can play along as well. They are now added to our "Previous Victims" list. The first is from a blogger named Kwizgiver. Her blog is What If This Is As Good As It Gets? She stole it from Fond of Snape. The second is from a blogger named Tina of the blog NerdBliss. She did not say where she stole it. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Let's go!

Sunday Stealing: Our Players' Meme

1. You have been awarded the time off from work and an all-expenses paid week anywhere in the United States. The catch is that it must be somewhere you have not been before. Where do you choose to visit? San Diego. It would not only be a terrific place to be, but also my son James lives there since ’06, and I’ve yet to visit.

2. Name three of your guilty pleasures. WTIT recordings, the WTIT blog and these weekend memes. While Smirnoff should be in it, I am great at denial. that's more than just a river.

3. The best kind of Girl Scout Cookie is: Chocolate Mint. I was just thinking, what this question lacks in interest, it makes up for in fucktardian stupidity.

4. What do you value most in other people? Intelligence. Did you see that McCain-Palin movie called Game Change on HBO. As stupid as you might have thought Sarah is, she is a lot less intelligent than that. I mean “scary stupid”. The film is good for that reason alone. If you are into politics, it’s insightful in the same way West Wing was.

5. Have you ever looked back at your life and realized that something you thought was a bad thing was actually a blessing in disguise?! Why the fuck are our troops still in Iraq and more importantly, Afghanistan? These wars remind me so much like Vietnam, it’s pathetic. But worse, we’ve been them both even longer.

6. Be honest. Do you sneak some raw cookie dough when you’re baking cookies? Since I’m a guy that doesn’t cook, this is not likely to come up. If you haven’t watched The Newsroom yet, you really should. Jeff Daniels plays the anchor and Sam Waterson plays his boss.

7. What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever visited? St. Martin. It has two cultures on the island with idyllic weather. Half the island is French and has some of the most fabulous restaurants you could imagine. The other side is Dutch, which means there are a lot of boys having their fingers into dikes. The crowning jewel is Orient Beach. The sand is so soft, the water is beautiful and you have to be naked there.

8. Are you more of a thinker or a feeler? What the fuck is being a feeler? If you can legally fondle any woman’s breast just by saying "Front and Center", who'd argue with that? I’m in. Sorry Kathy, but I sent the application in 2006. Until they vote me in, you have nothing to worry about.

9. Name three things you are thankful for right now. Kathy, WTIT and family. Amen.

10. Have you ever participated in a three-legged race? Yes. I was in kindergarten. Those memories get me through some really tough times.

11. When you are at an event that plays the National Anthem, do you place your hand over your heart? No. I grab my genital package. I learned that trick from Roseanne Barr.

12. What kind of work do you do? I sell liquor to liquor stored. I call it “God’s Work.”

13. During the course of your lifetime, which job or career has been your favorite or most fulfilling? Nothing topped my years as a DJ. For radio I’d go with WMAS. The show was called “Mike and The Hunter”.
Gary Hunter was one of the names (and the one that I used the most in my “heyday”). I also was Gary Morgan & Bud Fisher. I never was Bud Weiser except on WTIT.) My best nightclub gig was at The Dialtone Disco Dome. It’s where I originally met Kathy.

14. Do you think it’s necessary in your life to have a day-to-day “career” that is meaningful and service-oriented or do you function better in “just a job” with a steady paycheck? Neither, really. My need for creativity is very important.

15. Was there ever a time in your life when you wanted to stay home with your children instead of working, even if it meant less money in the household? No, I never envisioned of being a house husband. How Lennon did it for four years is way beyond me.

16. Tell us your worst boss story. I was an operation manager at a Seaman’s store. My boss was an ex-marine and a bully. We lasted two years together. When I complained about the bullying the Regional Manager, he told me that I was wrong and the manager called my boss in to yell at me. When I left the room, (which was my office, but the RM used the operations manager’s office at every store when he was there. I phone my girlfriend and my mother. They both told me to walk out. I did. I just went into my office and started packing. He said, “I didn’t want this, I just was respecting chain of command.” I replied, “How dare you! I have the respect of all the staff and dig out from my boss’s mistakes. You just okayed him to bully me more. That was not how that meeting went.” He replied, “Can you just take a day off and rethink this?” I shook my head no, and got my shit into my car and never looked back. The good: They took a year to replace me. Since now the RM blamed my now ex-boss for the situation. The guy had to worm 7 days a week, often doing double shits. The bad: I lost at the unemployment hearing and was broke. It took me a year to pay off that debt that I should never have let happen. I won the battle but lost the war. Epilog: Seaman’s Furniture had gone from private to public both before I was there and also again in 2004. (Five years after my story.) This time they merged with Levitz and went bankrupt for good after I walked out.

17. Have your ever been the boss? Yes. I was both a Program Director and Sales Manager in radio. In the 80s, I owned an incredibly chain of video stores. We were voted “Best in Hartford” for our 8 stores in the Hartford Advocate in June of 1988. The banks collapses erased my line of credit. I could not operate without it. I closed the stores, found out that my first wife was only in it for the money and so I packed and left. All in all, a great year. But becoming single after being married really young and started having kids right away as well, thrilling.

18. What is your dream occupation? I’d be back doing a morning show. I miss radio a lot. That’s the news, we will update weather and sports later. Peace! Love somebody.

Saturday 9: My Generation

1. What do you think is the most unique thing about your generation? The Beatles, Woodstock, Vietnam, JFK and we didn’t start the fire.

2. Do you speak out as often as you should? Too often. Things tend to go smoother without my opinion.

3. How often are you tough and unreasonable? Only when dealing with other people or in some cases by myself.

4. Do you believe that sometimes you learn more from a failure than a success? No, but you can learn just as much. I think if you felt that you learned more with failure, you’d want to fail. I’m really not awake yet. I’m sharing this only because not only am I making not a lot of sense, but also I haven’t been the last bit funny. Plus, my shoulder hurts.

5. Do you feel that you always have to win? No. I just bought a new computer. I swore I’d never buy retail again. Best Buy ruined me for life. After I bought my last one there, they didn’t want to know me. WTIT could not record for over a year until Rock Rolling brought the latest in portable recording studios. When that computer from Best Buy died, I brought it to Staples. I was so impressed that when I decided replace the computer instead of fixing the old one, I bought it at Staples. They transferred everything, added my old hard drive to double the new computers capacity and have let me bring it in to add software and charged me nothing more. That was easy.

6. Do you think tradition matters? Yes. That’s why the guys still come over to record Tape Radio shows. I just started more transferring of tapes to digital. Today I’m listening to a recording of Johnnie Walker and I from 1998. We are complaining about our age. Shit we were young then. When we recorded two weeks ago, we complained then as well. I can’t wait to look back on that show and decide I was really young now.

7. Do you tend to root for the underdog? No. I rooted for Lassie. He/she was a real frontrunner. I wonder what ever happened to Timmy? I’ll look it up. Stay right here… Okay from lassieweb.org, “Jon Provost (Timmy Martin): Sells title insurance. He was recently remarried. He still makes appearances at charity events in connection with Lassie. 8. Have you ever felt that you want to exceed your parents’ successes? I did in my thirties. I got off that merry-go-round in 1990 when my first marriage ended. Since then I have never been wealthy, but I am much happier. Oh, and you’re welcome for that Timmy update.

9. Of all the cartoon characters that you know of, which is most like you? WTFWTS. You never saw that abbreviation? It means, “What the fuck would Timmy Say.” For forty bucks, he’ll write that on a fucking picture for you. He takes checks if that helps at all.

1. How long have you been blogging? Since 2006. The blogosphere hasn’t imploded yet. I think.

2. Did you go to college? Emerson, in Back Bay near The Dirty Water of The Charles.

3. Where have you traveled? So far today, from the bedroom to the studio.

4. Which celebrity do you get mistaken for? Women are constantly asking for my autograph. I never ask them who I think they think I am. I go with the flow…

5. What are your three biggest pet peeves? Being asked about pet peeves and two other things.

6. What is your favorite movie? Notting Hill. “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy…”

7. What is your drink of choice; wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea? Smirnoff. Although last night there was Ketel One involved. When we go out to dinner, that’s my poison.

8. What is something you enjoy to do when you have me time? With or without clothes?

9. What is your biggest phobia? That I will get further burned out here. While I know the reduction in players is because of social media now being preferred over blogs, the reduction of players is discouraging. There was a time Stealing got 70-80 players. Now it’s 25-30. I think that’s why all the newer memes start then go away. It’s hard to work on it with under 20 players. But I still miss Monday Mayhem, Thursday Thunks, Wednesday Wickedness and my lady’s R&R Fridays.

10. Share with us an embarrassing moment of your past? This is yet another episode of when I was single of my habit of dating incredibly weird women. And yes, it might be a case of “Some people claim that there's a woman to blame, but I know it's our own damn fault.” (©Jimmy Buffett)

There was a singles dance every Sunday in the Hartford area. On this night at the end of a busy night of dancing and enjoying myself, I saw the woman "of my dreams", I thought. I gathered up the courage to walk over to meet her. (Okay, those who know me realize that this is a lie. I am very comfortable meeting people.) Our eyes met, she smiled, “It’s the last dance, would you care to join me?” She thought for a second and responded, “Yes. My name is Dawn”. I walked to her car, got her phone number, and made my exit, stage left.

I called Dawn on Tuesday. Phone numbers are like fruit. If you don’t use them quickly, they tend to rot. “Remember me, I met you two weeks ago” is a death call. There are easier ways to get shot down or commit suicide. Hara-kiri comes to mind. Dawn answered the phone and it was became obvious that she had a girlfriend over. To every question I asked she requested me to “Hold on.” Then Dawn would cover the phone before responding. “We need to meet somewhere,” Dawn insisted. I am never one to argue this point. It is a smart thing for a woman to do. Dawn’s friend insisted on this point, but neglected to make sure Dawn understood “why” to meet a date and not have a guy pick you up. Dawn asked if I’d meet her at, now get this one, at a gas station.

So there I was, sitting at a Mobile station to meet Dawn. Dawn was right on time, which was 5:30. Her comes the part about Dawn not “getting it.” Dawn said “Hi” and then said, “We are so close to my apartment, let’s drop my car off.” Okay, then. Dawn asks me to follow her and we are dealing with rush hour traffic. She jumps into traffic and drives off, not stopping to see if I followed. I waited until she returned. “You didn’t follow me.” “Dawn,” I responded, “My car does not fly. How did you expect me to follow you?” Dawn said, “There was too much traffic, I had no choice. There is an Italian restaurant next to the gas station. Would you like to go there?” So now we are seated at what is a pizza joint not an Italian restaurant., Billy Joel did not write, “Bottle of red, bottle of white” about this hell hole. Dawn orders a wine. I assume it is a beer/wine place so I ordered a Budweiser. Now begins the adventure. Here’s the dialog:

Dawn: Bud, Dawn needs to know something.” (Oh my God, I thought, she is talking in the third person.) Dawn knows that she is a great catch for Bud. She is young, pretty and bright.Now Dawn does understand that Bud has four children. Dawn would like to get very serious with Bud. Would Bud have a child with Dawn?

Bud: Could we have dinner first?

Dawn: Dawn thinks Bud is a very funny man. But seriously, would Bud have a child with Dawn?

Bud: (I am very experienced with this type of question. I had been single for all but three years since 1988.) Dawn, yes I have four kids. I love kids. Why wouldn’t I have another?

Dawn: Dawn thinks this is REALLY encouraging. Dawn thinks that she and Bud will be together a long time.

Bud: (Now if she means that I’ll probably finish my grinder before leaving, than “yes.” It will be a LONG time) Waitress!

Waitress: Yes, Sir.

Bud: Do you have any real alcohol here?

Waitress: Why yes, sir. What can I get you?

Bud: Smirnoff Vodka, please.

Waitress: With what?

Bud: A glass and some ice. And quickly, very quickly.

Dawn: Dawn is SO happy this is going so well!!

I had another Smirnoff and paid the check. When we got outside Dawn asked, “Would Bud like to see Dawn’s apartment?” I paused, smiled and said, “Dawn, as you said, this went so well, why spoil it?” “Okay,” Dawn smiled, “When Bud picks up Dawn next time, he can see the apartment.”I am sure you are shocked. There turned out not to be a “next time”. Every word here is exactly as it happened. God, I do not miss being single.

11. What day would you love to relive again? Why? I’d like to live a day I starred as DJ Gary Hunter at the disco I spun at in the 70s. It’s where I met Kathy, but I don’t remember her. I’d love to pop over and say, “hi”. Then, I’d tell her that she’d be one of my wives. I would expect that she would have throw her sloe gin fiz at me.

12. If your life was turned into a movie… what actor would your best friend think should play you? Brad Pitt. OK, say I have no clue what he would say. But the dude can do nuance and my life has been filled with nuance and stupid women, like Dawn.

13. What are the jobs you had in high school/college/the early years? In high school I mostly worked in the hotel business and summers as a Park Councilor. In college, I started my pro radio career in my junior year at WMLO on the North Shore of Boston.

15. If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go? Impossible to know, but amoung the choices: Africa, because of all things animal. 16. Where do you see your life 6 and 1/2 years from now? Right where I am, very happy living with Kathy and selling liquor. God’s work.

17. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be and why? I loved being single at 40. I still “had it”, but I knew so much more than the first time that I was single. That said, now beats then.

18. What 5 songs are included on the soundtrack to your life? (You can pick "Middle School", "High School", "College", "Post College" or any format you like.) I’ll stay away from the Beatles. Their music were and are my life’s soundtrack, but we will go with this:

High School: Midnight Confessions by The Grass Roots. When WTIT polled our DJs and girlfriends it was voted #1 for our high school years.

College: Good Times by the Persuasions. We’d play it every night we went out.

1^st Marriage: 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon. I new right away marrying the prettiest girl wasn’t much of a plan. But in 11 months I became a dad. I lasted 18 years.

90s: A Long December by The Counting Crows. “There’s a good chance that this year will be better than the last.”

00s: If You’re Out There by John Legend. There’s so much optimism and truth in that song.

19. Romney picked Paul Ryan to run as his veep. Any thoughts? I think that this election is a repeat, yet in reverse, of the 2004 election. No one like George W., buy Kerry-Edwards did not excite at all. Now no one is wild about Obama, but I truly think that he will win by a larger margin than George W did over Kerry.

Saturday 9: If Loving You is Wrong (I Don't want to Be Right)

1. Has you ever done something that you knew was wrong, but because of love or lust, did it anyway? No, because I’m a really shy guy. Except for maybe my neighbor's wife in my old apartment. Hiding in the closet waiting for the moron to go to work was really thrilling, but wrong. I should have come later to be right. So to speak...

2. Do you take longer to dress for a special event? No, because I’m a guy. I have found waiting for the woman takes a lot longer.

3. Do you consider yourself a good driver? I’m a solid B. I great at defensive driving, big on patience, but can get distracted. I drive for six hours a day. You do pick up a bit.

4. If you won Powerball, what would be the first thing you spent it on? World hunger, I’d hope. Either that or travel. Then there’s sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll. Who am I kidding? The first thing would be giant TVs and a radio station.

5. How much of the Olympics have you

watched? Why? Johnnie Walker spent a few days here. He’s really into it. Especially women’s beach volleyball. While he couldn’t explain the rules (he said there was a ball, sand and a net involved) he loved them in bikinis and patting each others’ asses.

happenstance? You mean like getting naked on a first date? Nah, ‘cause I’m that really shy guy.

7. Do you consider yourself attractive? Of course. Who wouldn’t?

· Have you ever written a song? Twice, but just the lyrics. One was in college and was co-written and recorded by Tom Ryder. It was called Tomorrow I’ll Mourn. It was an angst song written after a breakup. The other I wrote around 2000. It was named Don’t Smile My Way. It was an angst song written after a breakup. My son James Austin wrote the music. It has never been recorded. I guess no breakup has bothered since.

Have you ever been in the opposite sex's public toilet? It happens. Life on the road…

· Are you superstitious? No. Knock on wood.

What's the most daring thing you've done? Deciding to write a book. I’ve yet to begin it, but I do have a plan. In college I wrote a paper on the psychological influence of The Beatles. I always thought someone would discover the same things and write it. It’s been 40 years, and no one has. It’s time.

· Did you have a baby blanket? Do you still sleep with it? Who the fuck would never have had a baby blanket? A guy from the Amazon? No, I don’t sleep with one.

· Have you ever tried to cut your own hair? If yes, how’d it work out? I was ill for over a year in bed with an iv and the like. If I didn’t cut it, it would have been to my knees. It didn’t look bad, but curly hair hides a lot.

· Have you ever sleepwalked? No. I do a “go the fridge for water or milk thing” and folks who watch me try not to totally wake swear I’m sleepwalking.

· If you could be any age, what age would you be? 21. I’d like a career do over.

· What is your dream car? I think I’d like another Lincoln. The Mark series always intrigues me.

· What is your favorite cartoon of all time? The Flintstones for all time, but Family Guy, South Park and The Simpsons are all better.

· If you were in a car sinking in a lake, what would you do first? Get the fuck out.

· Have you ever ridden in an ambulance? Yes.

· How many foreign countries have you visited? Five or so.

· If you fell into quicksand, would you try to swim or try to float? And “scream for help” is not a fucking option?

· Do you talk in your sleep? So I’ve been told.

· Have you ever slipped in the bathtub? Three years ago. I am still suffering the consequences. I’ve had two spinal surgeries to help, but they didn’t completely solve the problems.

· If you could invite any movie star to your home for dinner, who would it be? Jill Hennessy (for old times sake). A star from A Hard Day’s Night would probably be more interesting.

· Have you ever re-gifted? Yes.

· If you could attend an Olympic Event, what would it be? Women’s Beach Volleyball. I have no idea on how it’s played. I think there’s a ball and a net, women play in bikinis and slap each other’s ass a lot.

· If you could participate in an Olympic Event, what would it be? Really? I don’t even watch the shit. The only reason I saw any was because Johnnie Walker loves it (particularly the aforementioned Women’s Beach Volleyball) and while he was here we watched it.

· If you won a $5,000 shopping spree to any store, which store would you pick? Amazon.

· What do you think is your best feature? That would be bragging. Tempting, but no.

· If you were to win an Oscar, what kind of movie would it be for? A romantic comedy. Sci-fi would also excite me.

· Which of the five senses is most important to you? Hearing.

Would you be a more successful painter or singer? Since I can’t sing a fucking note, hand me the fucking brush.

· How many years will/did you end up going to college? I graduated Emerson College. Go (whatever the fucking mascot was)!!

Saturday 9: Everybody Knows This is Nowhere

1. Do you ever feel like you are nowhere? I have driven into the middle of nowhere. When you are lost, who knew nowhere can be so fucking huge?

2. Do you keep your cool no matter what is going on around you? Nope. Kathy would swear in court to this. Bud’s Law # 31: If you keep your head while everyone is losing theirs, then you don’t understand the problem.

3. Do you feel that career should be more important than your love life? From my experience, they tend to have a synergy between them. And believe me or not, I’m not speaking of the “marrying for money” syndrome. Your career gives you both the means and confidence that can impact your love life. Although in afterthought, a bottle of wine can do this better.

4. In what way do you feel that you are unique? How many other fuckers have a Tape Radio Studio off their den? When my daughter, 37 year old Heather, was asked how weird it was growing up with a radio studio off the rec-room, she stated, “I thought everybody’s dad did that.”

5. Do you feel that there is a part of you that you need to hide from most people? You hide something from everyone. If you think differently, you are either drunk or stoned. “Dude, my life’s an open book. Man, don’t bogart…”

6. Have you ever held on to a relationship even though you truly knew it was already over? Maybe for a week. Nope, I’m not that good. When a woman I was dating (The Dragon Lady) moved in, it lasted about 4 weeks. It was a total disaster. When I broke up with her she offered to go back to her home in Banister (her home down South) on Friday. I said, “If you leave this minute I’ll give you a hundred bucks for gas.” She was gone in an hour. BEST $100 I ever spent.

7. Would you say that you are a winner in this game of life? Yes. I have four great children, three best grandkids and a wonderful lady that I’m going to marry. I have a great job and we just bought our dream home. So naturally, I am depressed and in therapy.

8. Can you tell us about a time when you were broke and yet still happy? In the early 90s, Harvey Wallbanger and I were roommates. We had to fish money from our couch to eat. Yet, we always had women and partied quite a lot.

Our Latest Comedy: The Olympics Best Sport

When WTIT Tape Radio began, the guys recorded four or five times a week. We were in high school with time on our hands. Even when we had parties or dates, we'd interview our girlfriends. In fact, one time our girlfriends recorded a show totally without us. Bud's appeared as Sally Weiser, Johnnie's was Carol Walker, Gary's was Jill Townsend and Gypsie's was Sue Grillo. All our tapes still exist. We thought when we went off to college that we'd "outgrow" it. We did our first "Last Tape Show" in August of 1969.

As soon as we had a semester breaks, we were back at it. We'd record four days a week before we headed back. After college, we knew we'd never stop. Bud got married and the WTIT Studio moved for the first time. Recording became less regular, but still happened.

By 1985, we were back to weekly. First at The Braeburn Studio during Bud's first marriage, and through the end of his second marriage at The Turnbull Studio. Since then, it's a three or four times a year adventure. Bud (for reasons only he could explain) is getting married again. Kathy and Bud bought a home and Studio 33 1/3 was born. Rock Rolling, Johnnie Walker and Bud Weiser christened the studio earlier this year. Bud is on vacation and Johnnie is in town visiting. These picks are from last night's session that included WTIT Earwitness News report on the Olympics. Both decided women's beach volleyball is their favorite. They do not even understand the scoring. They know that there's a net involved and a ball. The rest is about watching these fine female athletes compete. Their favorite team? The blonde one. Here's the photos from last night. we will post the bit, later on.

Saturday 9: Moves Like Jagger

1. Who makes the best moves in your life? I am the master of my universe...I am the master of my universe...I am the master of my universe...

2. Tell us about a time where you had to be selfish with your time, and felt guilty about it (whether it was time taken from your children or a significant other). I really don't feel selfish with my time. It is my time after all. I don't feel couples are joined at the hip. Although perhaps I was a tad selfish back when the French twins were my neighbors. I had a girlfriend or two who said I was a bit hedonistic. I always had a quick comeback, I'd say, "Sez you."

3. Do you feel that you can create more sex appeal or that it's just a given? I can't really speak for myself. But as for Kathy, I think when she couldn't be sexier, but then she seems to do something to remind me that there's always another level. I think I'll marry this lady...

4. Do your religious beliefs really influence your behavior? I have no such beliefs. "Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV" was in a song by a fellow that I admire. My morality is humanity based. Any spirituality that I have is a minor work in progress.

5. Do you feel there are some things in a significant other that you can't change because of their sex? Almost everything. It's rather amazing that we even talk to each other. I think that's where the whole sex thing was invented.

6. Do you see a younger less secure person when you gaze in the mirror? No. I'm happy at how I look for this age and stage. I'm more like The Fonz and say, "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh."

7. If you have ever been pregnant, or have been with a woman who was, how did effect your sex life? It my particular case, it increased everything. That may be why I have four kids...

I have no idea why Jill is here either.

8. What would you like to work on to become a better person? I still need to remove some of the jean in me. Loosely translated, it means never thinking or reacting with temper rather than reason.

9. When did you think that you understood the sacrifices that people in the military make on behalf of their country? Sometime after Vietnam and before The Gulf War. I do still get nauseated when some someone on fb says "Share this if you love the military." Although, "share this if" about anything sucks on facebook. I don't love the military. I don't support wars. I do appreciate the sacrifice and protection.

Why Planes Are Always Late

1) What's the worst thing that's ever happened to you as a result of procrastinating? I can't think of anything serious. What comes to mind is the story of my Starlog magazines. The magazine started publishing in the late '70s. I collected every issue for years. Many (including the first) were worth a great deal of money. I thought that if I held on to them all (monthly published, 170 issues) they'd be worth even more. But, I waited until after the magazine stopped publishing to try and sell them. Which really meant that they had jumped the shark.

When I met Kathy, she decided to help me sell them. First it was Craig's list. I was offered over $400 for them, but we just weren't sure if we were being scammed. Kathy threw a wicked tag sale this weekend and we planned to sell them, but I changed my mind. I really wanted to sell them as a set to someone who'd appreciate the collection. Kathy put up another ad on Craig's list. I wanted $100 or I was just going to keep them.

Someone called Kathy and offered $50. Kathy explained the price was firm. The next day he called back Kathy and asked to speak to me. He explained that his 10 year old son loved all things Star Wars and Star Trek. But, his son hated to read. He thought if he bought the collection, his son would read them. He countered with a $75 offer. I had to accept. The man showed up with his son about thirty minutes later. I told him that if he had buyer's remorse, he could return them next week. I guess I knew I'd miss the collection. He smiled and said that it would not happen. His son smiled and off the collection went. I wound up with $75, the collection is still together and I know his son will love them almost as much as I did.

2) Are you a member of the Mile High Club? Nope. I know, the shame!!

3) What's worse, extremely cold weather or extremely hot weather? For me it's cold. But, both are lousy. I spend the day going in and out of my car while driving. Extreme cold can make driving dangerous. Extreme hot, and going into an air-conditioned car is like jumping in a pool, and it's never risky.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

My take: A butterfly is just a moth with a better wardobe.

6. Describe your mood. Pissed. I cannot tell you how long it took me yesterday to find this meme. It's hard to tell about them till you do them. Kinda like a date.

8. Of all your friends, who would you want to be stuck in a well with? Kathy. We'd find something to do to pass the time.
