98th Lei Day Celebration [Event] A traditional festival held annually on May 1st at Kapiolani Park. This year’s theme is “Mai ka hoʻokuʻi a ka hālāwai” (From zenith to horizon).

10th Annual Manu O Ku (White Tern) Festival [Event] Celebrating its 11th occurrence, the Manu O Ku Festival will take place on the grounds of Iolani Palace. “Manu o Kū” is the Hawaiian name for the White Tern, a seabird found only in urban Honolulu, which was designated as the “Official Bird of the City of Honolulu” in 2007.
