This tour begins with a beautiful view of placid Keehi Lagoon and continues over historic Honolulu Harbor.
Here you will see Aloha Tower, once the tallest structure on the island, as well cruise ships from distant ports.
Next is downtown Honolulu, featuring the only royal palace in the country. Above the city stands Punchbowl, the
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The tour continues above Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, the Ala Wai
Yacht Harbor and Waikiki Beach. Beyond, you’ll see Diamond Head crater from a dramatic perspective, the “Gold Coast”
where millionaires make their homes, and spectacular Hanauma Bay.

Rounding the east end of the island, you’ll see rugged coastline, inviting Sandy Beach and Makapuu Point and lighthouse. Your aerial tour
continues over Sea Life Park, the estate where TV’s Magnum P.I. was filmed, and miles of white sand beach.

You’ll be treated to a stunning view of Mount Olomana and, later, the Nuuanu Pali where King Kamehameha’s warriors won a decisive battle to unite the islands. Your tour winds up with a great view of Pearl Harbor, the Arizona Memorial and the Battleship Missouri.

What To Know

Approximate tour time is 30 minutes

Infants under 24 months old fly free.

Free transportation is provided to and from Waikiki.

Guests should wear comfortable clothing.

Due to enhanced security, we ask guests to please leave their purses, backpacks and other items in their hotel rooms or in the hotel room safe.
The only items allowed on the helicopter are cameras and video cameras. All other items must be left behind. Storage lockers are available for a fee.

The routes described assume normal trade winds and weather. Pilots reserve the right to alter the flight path of any tour as appropriate for
different winds and inclement weather.

Weight Policy, Flight Rules, Conditions and Recommendations: This tour has a 96-hour cancellation policy. Customers cancelling flight within
96 hours will be charged for their flight. Open Seating passengers
weighing in excess of 250 pounds may be charged an additional fee equal to one-half the
cost of one seat. Open Seating passengers weighing more than 300 pounds will be charged
for an additional seat. Any two Open Seating passengers from the same reservation whose
combined weight exceeds 430 pounds may be required to purchase a comfort seat.
An individual First Class passenger’s weight must not exceed 180 pounds; the combined
weight of two First Class passengers must not exceed 345 pounds. Making a secure booking online confirms that you comply with these terms and conditions.

Be sure to have the names, weights and heights of everyone in your party.

FAQ’s:

How many people can fit in the helicopter?
The A-Star carries six passengers plus the pilot. For the comfort of all passengers, Open Seating passengers weighing in excess of 250 pounds may be charged an additional fee equal to one-half the cost of one seat. Open Seating passengers weighing more than 300 pounds will be charged for an additional seat. Any two Open Seating passengers from the same reservation whose combined weight exceeds 430 pounds may be required to purchase a comfort seat. An individual First Class passenger’s weight must not exceed 180 pounds; the combined weight of two First Class passengers must not exceed 345 pounds.

Can I be guaranteed a front seat?
Practically everyone wants to sit up front where you will get arguably the best view. The front seats are considered “First Class” and are available for a slight additional charge. The combined weight for both parties seated up front cannot exceed 360 pounds.

Is there a discount for kids?
The FAA requires that every passenger over 24 months occupy his or her own seat. However, children younger than that can ride on their parents’ lap for free.

Can I take pictures?
Yes, we encourage you to take pictures and/or video. Bring extra film.

Do you provide a video?
Yes. The A-Star is equipped with a live camera DVD recording system that records each flight. The video also records your pilot’s narration, your own comments and questions and gentle Hawaiian music in the background. You may purchase a DVD of your actual flight following your tour.

What happens if it’s cloudy?
As a rule, we don’t fly if the weather is inclement. After all, we want you to enjoy your tour. We encourage you to book your tour early in your stay so that you have the flexibility to fly another day if the weather is poor.

Am I going to get sick?
The A-Star is an extremely stable aircraft and is used worldwide for air tours. Your tour will be a comfortable experience as we follow the Tour Operator’s Program of Safety flight guidelines which call for limited pitch and bank angles.

Is it safe to fly in a helicopter?
Absolutely. The Hidden Oahu Tour enjoys a spotless safety record. We use modern equipment, employ the finest and most experienced pilots, have a highly dedicated and trained support staff and are proud members of T.O.P.S., the Tour Operator’s Program of Safety.

You’ll also stop at several of our close offshore islands which will include swimming and relaxing on white sandy beaches while sea and shore birds flock overhead and nest near-by.

The windward coast of Oahu has over 12 varieties of seabirds inhabiting this flourishing coastline.

Why paddle in Kailua Bay?

Kailua Bay may be the best destination for paddlers on Oahu. For the beginner it offers calm reef protected waters and a number of very interesting small near shore islands within easy reach of Kailua Beach. The experienced paddler will enjoy the waves outside the same reef that keeps the water calm near the beach. With beautiful sandy beaches, calm clear water, and multiple hiking options, these small islands make a great place to spend the day picnicking and exploring. And then there’s the wildlife…Green Sea Turtles abound and are easily approached. Summer is the nesting season for a number of rare sea birds that use these islands to raise their young. Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins and the the very rare Hawaiian Monk Seal are known to come into the bay on occasion. In winter there’s also a chance you’ll see humpback whales just off shore.

However, going on the Guided Tour can make the trip safer, more informative, and help you get the most out of your day. Our guides can take you places you may not find on your own and show you things you might have missed otherwise.

If kayaking is not for you but you want to spend some time on World Class Kailua Beach doing some snorkeling, body boarding, and playing in our warm waters, then the Turtle Safari would be right for you.

Come join the fun! Ocean Joy Cruises will take you to the unspoiled Waianae coastline on the island of Oahu where dolphins, turtles and other Hawaiian sea life play and flourish. Take a dive into one of Hawaii’s most secluded snorkeling spots, watch dolphins as they glide through the cool waters of the Pacific, view the most stunning scenic vistas and perhaps, even watch the most romantic sunset on earth.

Hop aboard the Kai ‘Oli’Oli Oahu’s only marine vessel designed exclusively for the best ocean activity experience.

A cruise isn’t just about where you’re going snorkeling or how many dolphins you see. It’s also about the boat you’re on, and it doesn’t get any better than being on the Kai ‘Oli’Oli – one of the best tour vessels in operation today. With state-of-the-art equipment, you’ll most likely find yourself snorkeling with the most colorful marine life you’ll ever see.

Dolphin Watching, Sightseeing and Snorkeling Cruise

Our cruise adventure is the only experience that will take you up the entire Waianae coast (west coast of Oahu), from Ko ‘Olina Marina to the northernmost tip of the coast, the sacred Ka’ena Point.

Learn about the magical history of our islands and the Waianae coastline as our crew enchants you with legends and history of this beautiful land.

Get your video and still cameras ready, because we’ll see with Dolphins (Nai’a), Whales (Kohola) [in season], Green Sea Turtles (Honu), and Flying Fish (Malolo) along the way! When we do meet up with the dolphins and whales, we’ll stop the boat, and sit with them as our knowledgeable crew will tell you everything you want to know about these amazing and beautiful creatures.

After an exciting ride up the coast, we’ll enjoy an hour of snorkeling just off the Ka‘ena Cliffs, past the end of the road, where the only access is by boat or hiking. We provide the best of snorkeling equipment for you to enjoy as you swim in the sparkling blue water of Makua amongst unspoiled reef and sea life where no other tours take you.

While still tingling from your snorkeling and dolphin watching experience, enjoy our sumptuous lunch buffet, and sip on a tropical Mai Tai, an ice-cold beer or any of our other beverages to your heart’s content. Let the cool Hawaiian breeze relax your soul as we make our way back down the coast to our luxurious Ko ‘Olina Marina home.
