This has been a nice series so far, and I've enjoyed reading about the group of friends each finding love. Nothing terribly exciting going on - so, yeah, 'nice' rather than great. I guess they all can't be 5 star reads!

Gabe has yet to meet a rule he hasn't tried to break, and Casey is an admitted stickler for them. But both men will need to bend a bit in order to solve this case.

I'm liking this series more than I thought I would after the first book was a bit iffy for me. I guess the characters have grown on me and I like them more than I did initially. I read a lot of this author's books, and I really enjoy the setting in the far reaches of the Pacific Northwest.

It's hard to stay focused on anything that I am reading nowdays. It's all a blur!! Sadly, I have more time on my hands to read now that my Dad is on hospice. He's at the same nursing home that my Mom is at - she's on the memory care side. So lots of sitting bedside and also visiting Mom.

In reality, I know I should be mad at the author and not the characters, but come on! Give me something to work with here.

They’ve spent the better part of a decade quarreling over the spotlight and pretty much everything else, and everybody in the industry knows it. Now that Simon’s contract is finally done, he can move to New York, start fresh with work he actually likes, and get away from Charlie.

Simon’s only problem is that people might assume he’s been pushed off the show due to being impossible to work with. And he is kind of difficult to work with. He doesn’t get along with people—unlike Charlie, who somehow tricked everyone on the show into adoring him despite some outrageously bad on-set behavior during the show’s first season. I didn't read the original Made Marian series, but I did read the 2nd series devoted to this family. This series is the next generation, which is still jarring to read about. (I'm have a hard time wrapping my head around reading about 3 generations of this family in less than a decade! Maybe it's just me...) I'd also enjoy the series more if those prior generations kept their noses out of everyone else's business, but that's how this author works - meddling family as part of the plot.

These books are cute and very light, almost fluffy. Nothing too serious, so reading is just a gentle escape and not enthralling. I guess I'm saying they're just alright...

I have to read this author in small doses because she loves angst too much. I love emotional if it's done in the right way. But most of her books are ANGST and internal drama and really dark and depressing. So much so that it effects my mood. That's why I space out reading her books. I'm still getting over her Christmas story that I read a month ago!

I've read the last few series from this author and really enjoyed them, especially the Pacific Northwest setting. I like the dark mystery in this series, and the low steam romance between the 2 MCs. Can't wait to see more secrets revealed.

I'm actually not a fan of timeloop stories because I find them... repetative. I know, I know. But reading the same scenes over and over with little character growth will kill this for me. So, fingers crossed. Also, this is only this author's 3rd book, and I haven't read the others, so I really don't know if I will enjoy this or not.
