5 books in and I'm still on the fence about whether or not I like these guys!! Just when I feel that I could really get behind them, one of them does something stupid and I think "Why'd you do that??" In reality, I know I should be mad at the author and not the characters, but come on! Give me something to work with here.

I didn't read the original Made Marian series, but I did read the 2nd series devoted to this family. This series is the next generation, which is still jarring to read about. (I'm have a hard time wrapping my head around reading about 3 generations of this family in less than a decade! Maybe it's just me...) I'd also enjoy the series more if those prior generations kept their noses out of everyone else's business, but that's how this author works - meddling family as part of the plot.

I have to read this author in small doses because she loves angst too much. I love emotional if it's done in the right way. I'm still getting over her Christmas story that I read a month ago!

Romance wise, he and Ranger Man are easing into being a couple. A lifetime of habits is hard to break for both of them but they’re getting there.

Gabe even has a job. Will he regret agreeing to it? Probably. But it’s almost legal, so... baby steps.

Then a strange young woman claiming to be his long-lost daughter appears on his new doorstep, and she has some sketchy documentation to prove it. It’s not impossible, but Gabe wasn’t born yesterday, and Heidi Karne was his mother, after all. And another damn letter—this one from a stranger—shows up. The author claims to be a friend of Heidi’s and to have some of his late mother’s belongings. Just great.

It's pretty clear that the past isn't done with him yet.

I've read the last few series from this author and really enjoyed them, especially the Pacific Northwest setting. I like the dark mystery in this series, and the low steam romance between the 2 MCs. Can't wait to see more secrets revealed.

I'm actually not a fan of timeloop stories because I find them... repetative. I know, I know. But reading the same scenes over and over with little character growth will kill this for me. So, fingers crossed. Also, this is only this author's 3rd book, and I haven't read the others, so I really don't know if I will enjoy this or not.

Another Holiday romance, but this sounds MESSY!! And yuck with dating your brothers ex! But maybe it's worth reading? I've read a few book from these authors, both seperately and together, and they're enjoyable, so I hope I like this one!
