Continuing its 50th anniversary celebrations, Lamborghini has unveiled a special concept dubbed the Egoista. This focused and, frankly, insane looking concept was designed by celebrated Italian designer and current head of Volkswagen Group Design, Walter de Silva. Totally futuristic and out from the movie, Speed Racer!

Deriving its name from the fact that it’s a single-seater, the Egoista is designed to give its lone occupant a thrilling driving experience. Its design inspiration — the Apache helicopter — is clearly evident in the sculpted, aggressive design. Details are scarce but we do know the Egoista is very lightweight thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and the cockpit canopy can be removed for further weight savings.

Powering this beast is a 600 horsepower V10 engine. Unfortunately, it would appear this will remain just a one-off like the Aventador J. Enjoy the pictures and the video below!

Yahoo! is trying their best to attract the attention of the 18-24 yr old demographic with the apparent bid to buy Tumblr. Under the direction of their CEO Marissa Mayer, the power move would go for the now arbitrary tech acquisition for the amount of USD$1 billion. Unlike some of the other social media platforms out there, Tumblr appears to have strong potential in its monetization scheme which unlike the likes of Instagram bode well for any potential buyer. A look at the numbers show over 117 million visitors in April (according comScore), 107.8 million blogs, 50.6 billion posts and predictions of USD$100 million in revenue (through native ads) this year. While the acquisition of Instagram by Facebook earned some backlash due to Facebook’s privacy track record, would this move by Yahoo illicit a strong enough reaction for people to quit Tumblr?

Bandar Sunway, 10 May 2013 – Imagine you’re sitting on a rubber raft, eleven stories above ground. Below you, a long, winding waterslide, leading away so far you can’t see where it ends. Suddenly, the ground falls away and you’re plunged, screaming, hurtling through a maze of watery pipes, twisting and turning like an aircraft out of control. It’s terrifying yet exciting and all your senses are alive!

This is what it feels like on the Vuvuzela, Sunway Lagoon’s latest attraction and the world’s largest water ride!

The Vuvuzela is a sight to behold, as it occupies 3,360-meters (three times of the size of a Olympic standard swimming pool) of the water park. From a launch tower an incredible eleven stories (30-meters) high, the Vuvuzela plunges you through a ride that spans 152 meters, designed to resemble riding rapids on a turbulent river, before mercilessly plummeting you into the world’s largest water funnel, 22meters in diameter which also sits 4 meters above the ground.

Mr Bill Holman, Consultant Director of Sunway Lagoon, commented that “We are proud to have introduced the world’s largest water ride, right here in Malaysia. The Vuvuzela is also equipped with its very own programmed, colourful LED light display, which ably shows the location and phenomenal size of the Vuvuzela within the water park at Sunway Lagoon at night.”

The Vuvuzela also comes equipped with its own elevator, which takes rafts up to the launch deck. The rafts are 6-seater rafts and riders will sit in them and splash down the ride.

Each ride will allow riders to experience up to 5 thrilling oscillations in the world’s largest water funnel before being shot out back into the enclosed flume. The ride will then end in Vuvuzela’s splashdown pool. The Vuvuzela is designed for riders to experience zero gravity, caused by the swinging to opposite sides of the funnel to reach the apex of the ride.

International Clitoris Awareness Week - 6th May to 12th May 2013!!!

Mention the word "clitoris" and some people get touchy -- and not in a good way.

But that could change quickly because May 6—12 as the first ever "International Clitoris Awareness Week," a seven-day period designed to celebrate the female body part.

The organization behind the week is "Clitoraid," a Las Vegas-based group usually devoted to helping victims of female genital mutilation around the world.

However, Clitoraid spokeswoman Nadine Gary said the message behind "Clitoris Awareness Week" is more whimsical.

"We've noticed that the clitoris has not gotten its spot in the limelight. It makes people feel uncomfortable," she told The Huffington Post. "For this week, we don't want to focus on genital mutilation."

Gary said the clitoris has gotten the shaft since the 19th century when orgasms achieved by touching it were considered "immature" compared to vaginal orgasms.

"The clitoris doesn't have a reproductive function so it can be minimized," she said. "It's up to eight inches long -- same as a penis -- but it's inside."

Gary has experience doing offbeat awareness campaigns like Go Topless Day, which protests laws that prevent a woman from going topless and "Swastika Rehabilitation Day," which was designed to remove the Nazi stigma from the ancient symbol.

"We found that whenever something has an 'awareness day,' it makes it more comfortable to talk about," she said.

Future International Clitoris Awareness Weeks will be held the first full week of May, which just happens to be National Masturbation Month.

Masturbation is something that Gary hopes to touch on during Clitoris Week.

"There is a taboo around sexuality," she said. "We want to point it out and talk about it. Maybe some women will go to masturbation seminars."

To that end, Gary hopes to inspire other women to talk about their sexuality to others, much like actress Rosario Dawson did recently when she admitted in an interview that she calls her vagina "the General."

"We want to prompt women to speak out and celebrate their sexuality," Gary said.

She is hoping to arouse interest in "Clitoris Week" by having fellow Clitoraid members dress in giant vagina costumes and hand out fliers on the Las Vegas Strip.

Meanwhile, LA-based pornographer Mike Kulich is lending a hand to the clitoris cause by filming a DVD featuring various porn actresses engaged in self love tentatively titled "I Love My Clitoris" with all proceeds going to Clitoraid.

Regardless of how the inaugural "Clitoris Week" goes, Gary already is thinking about next year.

"Most American holidays have a drink associated with them," she laughed. "Maybe someone can come up with one."

Hot Toys‘ newest collectible figurine inspired by a model seen in Iron Man 3 and with much highly anticipated film hitting our cinemas today, the high-end toy brand created a replica of the Red Snapper Mark XXXV suit, one of the many armors utilized by Tony Stark throughout the movie.

Hot Toys from HK paid special attention to detail, lending the figure moveable claw-like hands, LED lights in the chest and hands, and a fully articulate body. This limited-edition figure will be available via Hot Toys’ online store.

Collaborating with Apple‘s forward-thinking design with one of the most iconic automobiles of all time, Volkswagen and Apple have teamed up to create the iBeetle. It will be exhibited at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The collaborative vehicle comes in a variety of exterior color schemes with premium leather coating the entirety of the interior.

Meant to fully tap into the capabilities of a driver’s iPhone, the car’s dashboard includes a specially-designed docking station along with a unique iPhone application and access to Spotify, Expert, Trainer, Postcard, Photo, and Milestones – features that do everything from offering extended dashboard functions to one’s phone to allowing users to share route preferences, locations, and photos via social media.

VW has yet to release pricing and availability information regarding the “iCar,” so stay tuned for additional details...
