That took FOREVER.

But I think I found it again:

MY GROOVE.

Yep. It was missing. AWOL. Took a hike. Buuuutt….. it’s BAAAAAAACK.
I finally found it, and I feel better than ever.

Love justice. Do Mercy. Walk humbly with your God.

This is what he requires of us. Micah 6:8

These are some pretty important words that are not often used, but many times abused in their definitions. They should be simple to understand, but because truth is so lost on reality and definitions that have been watered down and lost, they aren’t.

justice: what is right; in accordance with the law, lawful, (Lawful)
mercy: goodness, kindness, faithfulness, especially among people.
humility: lowly, lacking a higher opinion of one’s self than one should have

Master Yeshua, aka Jesus, summed it up like this:

When asked by the Scribes and Pharisees, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Torah?”
He answered them, saying, “You shall love HYH the Most High God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind/being.
This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the instruction of Torah and the Prophets.”
Mat 22:36-40

Love justice.

Do mercy.

Walk humbly with your God.

Now do it.

8yo: “Mom, how many minutes are in a day?”
“Well, let’s figure that out.”

So, I asked, and he answered.

How many minutes in an hour?
60min = 1 hour

How many hours in a day?
24 hours = 1 day

Let’s do the math.

That math looks like this:
I typed out 24 1′s first, then the 60′s next to them, and he counted them with his 6yo brother.

So, I figure, why not take advantage of this time to teach him multiplication and addition? Let’s see how much he really understands of this.

He did the math, told me which ones to multiply first, what was the Tens and the Ones places, and we went on to do it a few other ways to let him see it differently mathwise.

Just a little of what we did today with the 8yo for math. I love it that he wants to learn because it is REAL LIFE math that he can relate to and cares to learn about. And, after all, HE ASKED ME.

“What would the child you once were
think of the adult you had become?”

I was pretty sad as a little girl. I hadn’t thought about this til I found this one photo of me a few years back at a great park we used to go to and make campfires and go sledding in Winter when I was a child. I am about 5 or 6, I think, and I am sitting there, just looking. It’s dusk. I look so sad.
So, this saying means a lot to me, because I don’t want my children to be sad. Not all the time, underneath, sad.
