Getting ready to jump back into action!

Just wanted to give everybody a quick heads-up and let you know that I will start posting new articles on this blog very soon. The reason why I haven't had time to do so, until now, is because I'm quite busy working on some projects ( I'm going to tell you about them some time in the following weeks ) and this is basically eating a large portion of the time I'm having available for online work.

No need to get alarmed, though. If I promised I will be writing new posts again, then I'm going to keep that promise! I only need to regroup and reorganize my somewhat messy schedule I now have. Once everything is in order, the posting frequency will increase here, at Wallachian Blogger Dot Net. Until next time, take care of yourselves and please, do not unsubscribe from this blog's feed. I know it's been pretty much a crappy one so far, but I'm working hard towards improving its status . Thank you!

That's it, boys and girls! After a long year and a lot of work, it's time for me to take a well deserved break from all my online and offline ventures. Blogging and spending time on the net, doing various other things is fun, but it's not the only activity which matters the most, in one's life. We shouldn't forget that we still have a family and a bunch of friends, who would like us to spend some time with them, at least now, during this winter holidays.

With this in mind, in this short post, I would like to wish all my readers, visitors, fellow bloggers and internet marketers, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2008 was an interesting year, with lots of ups and downs and I'm glad that you all were next to me, either be commenting on my old blog, leaving me a message on social networking websites, or by emailing me. I hope that the next year ( 2009 ), you'll do the same for me. As usual, anything you'll do to help me grow this new blog, will be highly appreciated and rewarded!

I want to mention the following: the next couple of days I won't be online at all! I won't be posting any new articles here on WB Dot Net ( although, I have lots of them ready to be published ), nor will I respond to any comments, emails or private messages. I'm taking some time off and will leave to the countryside, to enjoy the holidays with my family and a few friends. I might return with a fresh post after Christmas, but I make no guarantees! I really need to disconnect myself from all this madness, for a short period of time, in order to put some order in my thoughts and recharge my batteries ( so to speak ).

Well, that should be all for 2008. See you again next year, in January ( in case I'm not gonna write anything new, till then ). Once again, have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and a lot of fun! However, make sure you don't make abuse of too much food or booze, as you might have problems . And this can't be good, especially now..Goodbye!

Police officers in trouble

Even though I'm kinda busy with some personal projects I work on right now, I really wanted to show you the photo below. Don't know about you, but I find it very funny. What you can see in it, is a police car being towed away from a parking spot where it wasn't supposed to be.

Now, we can't say for sure if the cops have actually got a fine for parking their vehicle next to a sign which clearly says that no car should be there ( you can see the road sign, it's quite visible ), or if they had a mechanical problem with it. So, I will let you express your own opinion, too..and also have a laugh..he he! I promise I will come up with more interesting articles, once I'm less busy. Being a blogger and internet marketer is not such an easy job. Some of you, who might share the same "hobbies" as me, can confirm what I have just said, am I right?

Off to bed now..It's a late hour, here in Romania and tomorrow I have yet another busy day. Good night, everybody!

Want to know your preferences: should I write long or short posts?

In my last article, I was telling everybody that this blog has finally gone live. Which means that, from now on, I will be writing fresh articles regularly. So, what I want to know from my readers, is the following: would you like me to post long articles, or rather shorter ones? Or there should be a combination of both long and short posts? I need to see what you guys prefer, so I can please as many of my visitors as I possibly can.

To inform me about your preferences regarding this question I've asked, please leave a comment on this article, expressing your option: short, long or both. In case you're unsure how a response should look like, here's an example: I would vote for shorter articles. Depending on the number of votes I get for each of the above mentioned options, that's how future articles will look like*. Thank you! Voting is now open!

*Even though I will respect my readers' and visitors' opinions, there might be some posts which will be either longer, or shorter and might come against your voted opinion. In this case, please do not accuse me for being rude and not taking your option into account: such potential articles will be either shorter or longer, because they might require more ( or less ) research from my part, or because I'll have to provide you additional information regarding a certain topic. A new beginning

This official blog post was meant to be published yesterday, but because of an unexpecting issue, it had to be delayed for today. You might not be aware of this, but the above mentioned problem has brought shame upon me. For those wondering why, let me tell you a little funny fact..

About 2 days ago, I've told my buddy Peter, from The Making Money Experiment, that I will be launching my blog yesterday. It was more like a promise I made and vowed to respect it. I also instructed Peter that, if I will fail to meet my deadline, then he is free to make fun of me. I think it's obvious what happened next, right? Well, yeah, I failed miserably in keeping my promise, so now I'm a laughing stock. I lost that bet..That's the reason why I've said I'm ashamed. Funny stuff, ain't it?

Ok, let's get to the real point of this article, anyways..I would like to announce my blogs' official launch! As you can see, I have started a new blog, from scratch. But wait, who am I? Haven't said anything about me, so far. I could start doing this right away, but there's already a "About Me" page on this blog, from where you can find out more info about the guy behind the .Net and about Wallachian Blogger.Net, as well.

What I'd like to do next, though, is to tell you a few things about the modifications I've brought to this blogs' design and who did them ( clearly not me, as I'm not that good at working with HTML or CSS codes. That's why I have asked the help of a better coder, in the first place ). To keep things short and sweet, as I don't want to bother my 1 or 2 readers with too many useless details, here is the list with all the tweaks which were made to my blog:

1. My designer has changed the font and size of both my articles' titles and body's content, because he considered that now it's easier to read them.

2. He also changed some of the templates' colors, adding a bit of blue, which is one of my fave colors ( hope there isn't too much of it, though ).

3. Next, the header has also been changed, with one selected by both of us and modified by him ( you can take a look at it and tell me what you think, by dropping a quick and short comment ).

4. 3 more 125X125 ad spots were added, below the ones already existing ( you can never know when an extra advertising spot might actually prove useful! ).

5. And last, but least, my designer has replaced the "Posted by" tag, with "Scribbled by", as per my suggestion. Oh, and to mention that he was nice enough to actually give me a bonus: he added some small stars, which appear next to each posts' link, in the "Recent Posts" area ( and in a few more spots. The stars are quite visible, so there shouldn't be a problem in spotting them ) and fixed a bug in my blogs' archive. Overall, I consider he has done a pretty neat job, don't you think? Kudos to ThemeLib.Com!

Yep, the guy from ThemeLib Dot Com has helped me customizing the design. And since I'm referring to him in this lines, I would also like to thank him, for being here when I needed him. So, thanks bud! I really appreciate the amount of time and dedication you've put in, to complete all the tasks I gave, in time. To all the others: if you ever need a good and speedy designer/coder, then why not to give NHC ( the owner of ThemeLib ) a try? I'm sure he'll be willing to give you a hand .

Hmm..that's about all I have to say for now. I would like to bring this article to an end, so not to be too long and bore you to death. Wallachian Blogger Dot Net will officially launch next month!

I know I have been delaying the official launch of this blog for quite some time now and probably one will wonder if it'll ever going to be any new articles on Wallachian Blogger Dot Net. I assure you that yes, things will change around here, pretty soon. I'm planning the "grand opening" for the beginning of December! Why do you have to wait till then? Because right now, I'm still working on a lot of drafts, which, at the right moment, will turn in to fresh and interesting posts ( at least, this is what I hope for ). Besides that, a new design is on the way. Nothing too fancy, too flashy or too bright; just a couple of minor tweaks.

The reason why I'm bringing some modifications to the current theme, is because I want it to be more customized than it is now..more - how should I name it - "a la Wallachian Blogger" ( if such an expression exists. If not, then I've just invented it and will make a trademark out of it ). Once I get everything ready, the blog will go live and I will promote it heavily ( but without any kind of lame spamming methods ), on various social networking/bookmaring websites/forums, etc.

What I'm intending to achieve by making people aware of the existence of my blog, is to make it a bit popular and gain traffic and subscribers. And no, as I have already mentioned on my "About Me" page, I won't be doing this for money. I'm gonna try and keep the advertising stuffs to a minimum and provide more useful, interesting, funny etc content, rather than terrorize people with completely useless "must have, get-rich-quick" schemes/products. So, if you happen to visit WallachianBlogger.Net and also like what I'm scribbling here, then make sure you either subscribe to its RSS feed, or tell others about it. Any help from you is highly appreciated and later on this and next year, will be repaid through a couple of contests, where I'll be giving away some prizes. More on this matter in the following months, I promise!

Tiberius is back in business!

As the title of this posts says, yes, I'm back in the blogosphere. Last time you've probably saw me blogging seriously, was a few months ago, when I was still authoring my MMO ( make money online ) blog, My PPC Advertising dot Info. But due to the fact I was starting to feel quite bored talking about this topic ( making money online ), I've stopped writing new articles over at the above mentioned journal. Now as you can see, I'm once again a blogger. Only that, this time, I'll be writing about various topics, as this blog you're now reading ( Wallachian Blogger Dot Net ), is a personal online journal. And because it's not a niche blog, I can create articles on any given topics, such as: movies/games/websites/blogs/products reviews, funny videos and photos, information about various places ( towns, tourists attractions etc ) from Romania, or happenings of my everyday life.

Why have I said I'm back in business, anyway? Was I gone somewhere? The answer: yes, of course. And the reason for this, besides taking a break from the blogging world, was that I had to enjoy my summer holiday, just like anyone else . And I must say, it has been a very nice one . But now, the holiday is over, school has just started and I have some plans and projects I have to work at, so there will be some busy times ahead for me, in the following weeks and months. I'm not complaining, though: I know if I'll do my best to accomplish the goals I've set myself for this year ( and for the next, as well ), I will succeed.

I'll try and post as many articles as possible on this blog, as often as I can. So make sure you sign up for the RSS feed, in order to get all the updates straight to your email inbox! The main reason why I haven't posted anything new here, lately

I know that right now this blog receives just a handful of visitors ( heck, maybe no visitors at all, cause I haven't had time to do any decent promotion ), but I thought it'd be nice to make a post and tell anyone who's either currently viewing my little online journal or will do so in the near future, why there haven't been any fresh articles published here, since I've first started WallachianBlogger Dot Net, some weeks ago..

Well, the reason for this is because I'm quite busy at the moment. You'll now gonna ask me "What are you exactly doing so important?" If you're so curious to find out, I'll tell you right away: I'm having a ton of articles to write for a few buddies over at Qdoos.com ( a very nice forum for webmasters, bloggers and internet marketers, about which I'll compile a short review later on this year ), I've been selected as admin on the same forum and I have to be there as often as possible, to make sure things aren't going out of control ( not that they usually do, but just in case ) and I also have to work at my own niche website ( yeah, I'm not blogging about making money anymore, but that doesn't mean I've quit being interested in this topic ).

Not to mention the fact that it's summer, it's still holiday here in Romania and I try to enjoy my spare time as best as possible. Oh, and not to forgot: I'm a bit lazy and I tend to procrastinate a lot for now..But you shouldn't worry guys: as soon as I have more time for blogging, I will start posting lots of articles on this blog, on a daily basis ( meaning at least one post per day ).

Now if you excuse me, I will continue my work ( I hate making people wait for me to do my job, so I better start writing articles now! ). Cheers!

Who am I ?

Probably you've landed on this page, thinking that you'll gonna find a review of Jackie Chan's 1998 "Who am I?" movie. Well, I have to tell you this: I'm sorry for disappointing you, but you won't find such a review here. Some of you will ask "Why not? Is Jackie's film so bad in your opinion, that it doesn't deserve at least a few words from you?"

Neah, you're not even close with your guessing. In fact, I like all his movies. He's a great actor, stunt man and one of my favorite guys from Hollywood. Only that this time, I'm going to talk about me. I'm going to tell all my visitors and readers "Who am I", so you can know who's blog your visiting :) And yes, you've guessed it right this time: you're currently viewing my "About me" page I was talking about in the first opening post. So, who the heck is this Wallachian Blogger guy that is behind WallachianBlogger.net?

My name is Tiberius Burciu, a 21 years-old fellow from a modest European country: Romania. Currently, I live in a city called Pitesti, located in the Arges county. I was born on 06/23/1987, in Costesti, a small town not far from where I now reside. While I was still a little boy, my grandparents took care of me, because my parents were busy people, who were always at work and it would've been difficult for them to split their time between their work places and me. However, this doesn't mean I've been neglected. Not at all! Every time my mom and dad were able to visit me at my grandparents' home, they were there.

At the age of 7, when I had to go to school, I left my grandpa and grandma's house and moved in with my parents in a town named Ianca, located in Braila county. Even though this was a small, less agitated town, you were still able to find lots of things to do: from playing around the block, to climbing in trees, or going fishing on a lake just outside Ianca..and not only. There I had the opportunity of meeting a bunch of people: most of them were my parent's friends, who they too had kids of my age..or a bit younger than me. As you probably figure it out already, I had quite a lot of buddies to play with or do childish stuffs all day long :).

After graduating the 8th grade ( 2002 ), we ( me and parents ) decided that it is time for us to move from Ianca to a bigger city ( preferably, as close to my grandparents as possible, so we can visit them more often ). And that's how we've got to Pitest. It wasn't too difficult for me to adapt to my new life, even though I knew nobody here ( except my uncle and aunt ). As days and weeks have passed, I got to meet new people, I've started my first year as a high-school freshman and from there on, "the ball started rolling".

Now, there are already 6 years since I've first set foot in Pitesti and I feel like I've been living here for as long as I can remember: I have many friends, I've got used to residing in a big and noisy city and I'm pursuing my goals: to graduated from the university ( currently studying Marketing ) and start defining my exact path in life. Let's hope that I'll manage to do so!

What else you should know about me? Hmm..let's see..Oh yeah, things I like and things that I dislike. First, the likes: blogging, partying, having fun, watching movies, listening to music ( mainly hip-hop, rapp..but I also listen to other genres ( except manele! I mean come on..this can't be called music! )), traveling, cars, girls ( who doesn't like them, I wonder? "Good without them..but also bad without them"..haha ), computer games, cats ( I have a 2 years-old Birmanese cat, just like the ones you can see here ), soccer ( I'm a big fan of FC Steaua Bucharest soccer club ), honest people, true friends. Now, the dislikes: as I said before, I don't like listening to manele..and most Romanians know why ( it'll be a long story explaining you why, so I'm not going to bore you with it ). Also, I hate dishonest people, fake friends ( you know what I'm talking about here: the ones who are all smiles when having a discussion with you, but who'll be able to "stab you in the back" once you turn around ), or guys/girls who aren't able to hold a conversation..or are to stupid to do it ( they're such a waste of time, really ).

Well, I think that's all I have to say about myself. "Ok, I understand that..But one thing still puzzles me, though..What's with the name of the blog?" Huh? "The name..WallachianBlogger dot Net?" Oh, yeah..Simply put, it has to do with geography: my county and the city I live in are located in a big region, called Wallachia. So this means I'm a Wallachian..and also a blogger. Hence, the name of the blog. Got it ? :)

Well, no matter how lazy you are, you still have to come upfront and say hello to those who are or will be visiting your newly created blog. You can't just start writing like crazy, without first telling those people who you are, what's the blog about etc etc. So, here I am, doing it too.

You might be asking: "Who the hell is this guy..The Wallachian Blogger? I have never heard of him till now. But I do hope you're not one of those dudes who're gonna try and sell me something or ask me to join their money making opportunities, so they can earn some commissions.."*
You're right: I'm not gonna ask you this kinds of stuffs, ever! Because this blog is not a sales letter, nor a MMO ( Make Money Online ) webpage. It's simply a personal online journal, where I'm going to write on various topics, from movies reviews, to games reviews and to happenings from my everyday life..and not only. So rest assured: every time you'll come and visit WallachianBlogger.net, you won't going to be slapped in the face ( virtually, that is ) with any kind of crappy messages like "Hey, how about buying this new e-book? It'll teach you how to..." Got the point here? :)
