I noticed that many people are going to school around this time. I would like to share a story with you, mostly because I'm bored and have nothing else to do (Haha, not really).

The story starts out with my freshman orientation two years ago. For me, this was not the first official day of high school. Before we get into the story, I want to tell you that I had moved to a new town a week before orientation. So, that means I knew nobody what so ever.

It was near the end of August and we had just moved into our new house in a Portland Suburb. The first thing about the town that I noticed was that there was very few stores or places to go. I had been used to everything being available in under 10 minutes when I lived in Eugene (My old town).

Other than a new town, I had to go to a new school. The school I was going to was a public high school. A public high school. Why am I putting the emphasis on public. Well, I had never been in a public school and what I got of public school was from television (Ah, television. The lies they tell of school life). I know I shouldn't of been worried about high school and that the size was 5 times as big as my elementary/middle school, but I was.

My dad drove me to the school. I was shaking the whole car drive down (I lived on the top hill of the city). When we arrive to the school, anxiety filled my body. My heart raced and my breathing became short. My dad just laughs and tells me I will be alright. I saw the school ahead of me, and I sick. My dad had to lead me up there.

When I entered the school, all I could hear was the voices of the students. The voices were mixed together, creating a rather terrifying uproar. I eventually told my dad to leave, because I really didn't want to be seen with my dad. I let him do the paper work, but I headed toward the students. Apparently, because I was new in town, my name tag was in the VIP section (Wow, don't I feel special!*sarcasm*)

I probably did the typical "wallflower" move and stood by the wall in the cafeteria. Beside me were tables flipped to their sides to make room for all the students arriving. Everyone was on the other side of the cafeteria and the only person who was by me was a tall girl with a ponytail on her cellphone. I just watched as the other incoming freshman got back together with their friends from middle school.

Near the end of the "waiting section", the girl with the ponytail approached me.

"Hi! I'm Alexandra*," the girl cheerfully said to me. (*This is not her real name.)
"Hi. I'm Meghan. I just moved here from Eugene."
"Really? I just moved from Medford(*Also not the real town she was from). Do you know where that is?"
"Yah, I've been there before," I replied just loud enough for her to hear me.

Soon enough, I heard a older looking student yelling at us to go into the gym. We all, like scurrying ants, were headed toward the gym. "Let's go," Alexandra exclaimed. It seemed for a second that I could make a new friend, but that was destroyed sections later. These other group of girls were pushed toward Alexandra, and they began talking. Of course, I'm really small and quiet and was left buried in the crowd.

With all the other students, I entered the gym. Upperclassmen stood parallel from one another and we went through the middle. They clapped loudly, yelled at us, and wore clothing I would never wear in public. I covered my ears (No, not to ignore them). I could not take the volume. I didn't want to lose my hearing (Though, I would of been alright if I didn't cover my ears. I just don't like loud noises).

After the double chain of upperclassmen ended, I faced an enemy or mine. Where do I sit? I didn't want to sit in a place where I would have to be told to move by other students. In fact, this happens a lot. You are probably wondering why I didn't say no. Why? Well, I let them sit next to their friends (very typical). Don't get me wrong, I have denied peoples' request for something. I'm not that much of a pushover.

When the program did begin, the principal came up and introduced himself. He was shorter than most males and had enough hair just to cover the top of his head. Out then came some cheerleaders who did flips.

After the introduction of the cheerleaders and the reciting of the school anthem (ick), we were playing some hula hoop game. I, of course, did not participate. Of course the game put you on the spot, and I hate being in the center of attention. This is especially when doing something embarrassing, which is what the student did.

Yawn! Is this thing over?

Finally, all the "fun" games ended and we were assigned into groups. We were told to look at out name tags for our group. I looked at my name tag. 50. That meant I had a lot of waiting to do. I watched as groups of ten people went into a group. People got up from their seat and headed to the gym floor. The number of people diminished in the bleachers, and I was one of the ones left. I noticed Alexandra was one of the people who were left for the last groups. I figured out that the last groups were for new students. I guess new students should get to know the other new students.

My number was finally called (the second to last one), and I head to the farthest left corner on the gym. My group was smaller than most. There were only three other girls in my group. Oh, goody joy! We played more games! The next game, though, was based on more personal information like birthdays. We played a game where we had to go in order by height. I hate comparing height.

We were lead out to a certain room with our "Link Leaders". I realized I forgot to mention them. They help us around the school and give us advice (Though, after school started I only got one text from them). Their names were...? I actually don't know. They were "regular" names (like mine, Meghan).

All of us girls introduced ourselves to each other. Unlike the leaders, they had strange names (thought I won't mention them here). Their names were Penelope*, Natalie*, and Nikki*. As I found out, we were all new students. Penelope was home schooled, Natalie traveled a lot, and Nikki had moved from Hawaii.

After introductions, we did some drawing about our lives. I started to notice the interesting things people did. Penelope volunteered at the zoo, Nikki did gymnastics, and Natalie apparently performed guitar for Hilary Duff (apparently). I said I went to France. No one really cared.

As time went by, all we did was go around the school and talk. All the students regrouped in the gym. I remember I went to the bathroom and came back sitting in a new seat. I felt a tap on the back of my shoulder.

"Excuse me," she said with her friends just in back of her.
"Yes?"
"Did you notice you had something on your back?"

I turned around and tried to get whatever was on my back, but she ended up getting it for me. It happened to be a torn up name tag. It wasn't mine, and I had no clue how it got on my back. I thanked her and sat down at a nearby seat. I had my name tag on, so it wasn't mine. I realized (it was quiet obvious), that somebody probably put it on my back. I wondered what else it could be. I sat against a wall that had a torn name tag? I felt embarrassed, so disrespected. I know it doesn't seem that bad, but why would someone put their garbage on my back? The school had many trash cans. I eventually pushed the issue aside.

The end of the day involved my dad and I talking to my counselor about my classes for next year. I realized, "I'm going into high school."

Though, you are probably wondering what my official first day of high school was like, it wasn't anything special. I went through the year like any other serious student. I studied, slept, and did whatever I had to do.

I never saw Alexandra again until one lunch during sophomore year. She looked different then I had first seen her.

Penelope had only known me for the first month or two. I would see her sitting at lunch alone on a bench. I would say hi and ask how she was doing in school. Eventually months passed and she no longer sat at her typical lunch spot. I was in her AP US History Class sophomore year, but we didn't talk. She had made many new friends.

Nikki had a locker next to mine. The only words she said to me was,"I need to get to my locker, please." She switched lockers the next year since I had new freshman beside me.

Oh, and Natalie got a performing contract from some recording studio in Nashville. That's the truth. She had to do more traveling.

Well, as for me. Since I know pretty much what happens to me, because I am me, I could probably give you a whole movie about it (Which I won't). But for freshman year, I made one friend and got almost straight A's. (Darn you, English!)

I know I'm making such a big deal about Orientation, but it is nothing other than introducing us students to high school. Why I write about mine? Well, it is probably so far one of the only eventful high school moments where my family doesn't make up the whole story (I love my family!).

I'm only half way there, but more memories are going done that road....

Summer Time!

School is finally over for most people, and that means fun, fun, fun!

Did I end school today? No. I finished school last Friday afternoon. It would of been much better if people did not talk so I could of finish my final in peace! Also in my graphic arts class, nobody was listening to me! No one ever listens-. *Ahem* Sorry about that! My school played "School's Out" over the intercom. That was a terrible idea since you could hear the static from the microphone. Unlike most, I did not have people sign my yearbook (Since nobody seems to do that at my school anymore). I just wanted to get the heck out of that place. I'm sort of getting bored using other peoples' designs. It might take me awhile, but at least I'm learning. I looked online and learned the basics, but I have way more thing I have to include. I'm taking a web design class next year, so that might help. Other than that, I got photo shop CS5.5 last Saturday. (The .5 is and extended version which I don't know what it includes.) I have to get my transcript because I have to be clear to Adobe that I am a student and not some adult who wants a discount. They are very strict about what they want. I was going to photo copy my school id, but my school doesn't show the date 6 months ago. I have 10/11 but they want specific dates. Oh well, it isn't too hard to get my transcripts. (I think)

Sorry I haven't been posting for awhile. I had so many tests last week and was overly stressed out. There is just a few problems.

This is an elementary school and I'm in 10th grade.
I thought I looked young but not 11 year old young.
Even a girl at school agreed I looked like a 5th grader.
Hey? I guess its a good thing in some perspective.
Haha *sigh*

Another Update Post!

As of today, I have been thinking of opening my own webiste just for video. I might have 3 short films shot before school finishes in early June and I would like to put them somewhere. Overall, I just want a place to put my work. For blogger it is very hard because you can only create one post with the other pages. I don't want to open another blog because I don't like keeping up with both of them. I have a livejournal it is hard to update often.

My second update is that starting this summer I might be writing my posts in other languages. They won't be entirely in a different language, but there will be bits. I really want to practice my foreign languages. By the way, I am learning French and Japanese. I do know a little Spanish, but don't see me using it since I barely remember anything.

My last update is that I will soon get photoshop (Hopefully CS5) for my PC. I also might get dreamweaver. It might take a few weeks though.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to posting more. It will be harder because my APUSH exam is coming up the first week of May so I need to study. After that, I will get more into blogging, short films, design, and maybe vlogging which I have always wanted to do.

Have a good day!

-Meghan :)

What? There's a Sophomore Prom?

As I was staring into space in my AP US History class today, I heard my classmates talk about prom. A senior in my class ask the girls next to me if they were going to prom, and they said no. The problem is, the girls next to me are sophomores. I was curious whether or not our school had a prom for sophomores.

There is a prom for sophomores? I thought it was only for the juniors and seniors?!?

Apparently, there indeed is a prom for sophomores at my school. Maybe I'm wrong, but they say there is.

For me, I don't want to go. I don't want to spend the money and I really hate going to the school's social events. Another factor is I would have no one to go with. The people I would consider going with aren't going. I probably would be the only one there alone. Besides, why do sophomores need a prom? Gosh! I'd rather be home studying!

The truth is, I really dislike these types of events. There is so much money put into this! The people planning the prom and the people attending. How much does a girl spend on prom? I know many of them buy (or I hear rent?) a dress, do there hair, nails, makeup, and whatever! Maybe its just me, but I don't care about what I look like. Don't get me wrong, I do care about what I look like but I don't take 2 to 3 hours to get ready. Maybe I just don't get it.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 138px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg7t7s_ZfcAWhWRJ_t9PQ2GxA8xB9HH1IwSu7dTVBe-36SPInon-Zhz9bFGgJghixkk6bh8qmMuUcXaSPpq0R-Py8cLwoMkc2_aSL3oLiFZ8hsKmzhxXTJ6-5vkzkqrjmQqvfFo5Kxg9g/s320/hummer-limo-fort-lauderdale.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594483312518637714" />
(I saw at least 10-12 of these on Saturday)

Lots of people rent limos. My siblings and I have a tradition or "calling" limos or "slug bugs" as they come past us. We have to name the type of car, the color, the license plate state, and sometimes the car maker. My younger sister says, "No punch backs!" which I have no idea what that means. Isn't it neat to go in a limo. (Unless you ride in one all the time, then it probably gets boring). I'm used to the black and white limos. Nowadays I see Pink limos. My youngest sister gets so jealous! :D

Sometimes I do feel like I'm missing out on something, but other times I wished I would move on in high school. It is just 4 years. Yes, it is one of our last years before heading off on our own, but isn't school mostly about learning? Maybe it was how I was raised... School is for learning, not for unrelated activities. (Its probably due to the lack of outgoing friends who want to do everything.) I don't know, I wished they had more education opportunities!

Anyway, how does prom work at your school? Are you going this year?

(Like my sister said in this one video!) Peace, love, and happiness!

Meghan! :D

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wallflowerconfessions1.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-theres-sophomore-prom.html' title='What? In a few hours I will have to start my homework, luckily I don't have much to do. My mom's birthday was today and my sister made a cake. The cake, in my opinion, was dry. I prefer to make lemon/white cake instead because whenever my family makes a chocolate cake it isn't moist. My mom got a present, she got smelly markers from my little sister. Why mom mom needs smelly markers, I don't know, those will end up going to my sister.

I'm very nervous for the next couple weeks of school. My AP US History Exam is coming up, and I feel like I'm not ready. I didn't miserably on my last unit exam, I just don't know if I will do well on the REAL test.

I have noticed I have started to gain some weight. Though I'm only around 118 pounds, it is much different from the beginning of the school year which I was 108-110 pounds. It is just hard because I haven't bought new pants and my current jeans are getting too tight for me. I remember when I couldn't fit into a size 2! I should start exercising more. Luckily over summer break I will play more tennis. In fact..........

Summer break is only about 2 months away! I'm so excited. I'm ready to go to California and enjoy the warm weather. The hottest so far it has gotten where I live was the low 60's. Hopefully, though, it will warm up as May and June comes around.

The weekends ending, sadly, but there will be more coming up. There will be more time to relax to summer! :)

The First Day of April

Hello everybody!

Well, it's the first day of April. I can tell by the looks of the weather that sun may be on our way. (Well, me in Oregon). I went to the park today expecting a couple of people, but what I saw was a crowd of little kids and their parents. I nicely gave up my swing for a little girl who kept staring at me and I watched as all the little kids ran around. I remember the days when I played tagged........

Wait, I never played tag. APRIL FOOLS! (Sorry, I just had to add that in.)

School for me this year has not been how I have thought it would be. First of all, I have been lazy ever since the first week of school. My grades are near low As high Bs when I'm used to middle to high As. Yes, school gets harder but I am not trying my absolute best.

Second, I get tired way too easily. Can't concentrate....

Third,I think people despise me even more. (Especially those freshmen who stare at me like I'm some sort of hideous creature). I do not understand why people avoid me in the first place. I'm not a scary person. As I walk into the school, I lower my head in shame. I'm afraid that people will judge me. Their judgemental ways have made me feel bad about myself. Inside I am crying wishing to talk to someone who will accept me. Today in math, I felt like if I laugh others would just stare. They would stare and wonder why I would laugh.

Do I deserve to laugh at others' jokes not meant toward me? I have ears, eyes, and emotions. I can hear what they say about me. How I'm weird and don't dress "well". I can see them staring at me. I prevent the tears from coming out until after I leave the bus. My heart cries out for acceptance, but all I ever get is ignorance and glares from girls who think they are all that. The boys can't even see me.....

.....Not many people can.......

I'm just a figure, a motionless figure. I don't do anything but fill space. I sometimes think to myself, "Am I a joke to these people?" I remember a month ago I was standing in the lunch line. I was minding my own business. I realized a boy pointing a me. Their eyes all look in my direction. Usually people talk about someone past me, so I look around. They comment about how I was "hot" or whatever and started laughing. I looked away in embarrasement. A little after, I realized after they were just a bunch of immature freshmen. Though, I shouldn't be making fun of them just because they were freshmen. Last year, a trio of junior/senior boys made fun of my glasses. That moment, my friend asked me what they were saying. (She doesn't know much english). I didn't tell her....

I dislike my school, as you can tell. I'd hear about all the stuck up, rich kids who are only friends with people who were like that also. They are not all bad, but it isn't easy to avoid these people. I tell my parents, my counselors, and to anyone who is willing to talk to me that I try to treat everyone equally and not look down upon anyone. It is hard, very hard....

As of now, typing in my room, I would like to say have a good day! Other than the life of mine I told you about, I did start my Japanese class. I received a textbook yesterday and couldn't stop skimming the pages... I went to Oaks Park which is this type of amusement park outside of Downtown Portland (You can see some tall buildings from the bridge).

On Friday (Yesterday), we did go but it closed just as we got there and my sister started to cry.

Today, we went around 2 which is probably the busiest time to go. I roller skated at the rink. The last time I went roller skating was a couple of years ago at the rink they had in Eugene. I am a decent skater, but not the best. Luckily, I didn't have to skate by the wall. (I did practice to stop and turn around and that was the only time I used the wall). I wanted to learn the, what is it called? Turnovers, front step? I forgot, but it is when you turn and you put your feet over each other. My dad tried to teach me it years ago, and I was ok. The difference between here and Eugene is that there are less people in Eugene. It was crowded so it was hard to practice without bumping into someone. I'm not good with steering around people because I fear falling and wobble while passing a person.

During one part they separated skaters by age and gender. I was afraid since I'm not the fastest skater or the most skilled one. (I'm a beginner, so). I tried to skate as fast as I could but it only made me go so far. I watched as these other girls would speed past me. I guess I should build up my muscle to get faster.

I did fall a lot and I do have a bruise (and a sore ankle). I left just before the park closed.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I recently have wanted to start learning how to make my own clothing.I went to this store, and they had a ton of fabric. I couldn't find any clothing patterns, which disappointed me. I, instead, am going to start making a quilt. (Which is probably good for a beginner). I had a hard time choosing from the fabric. What do you expect? There is over 100 types of fabric patterns! (Oh, the possibilities). The lady at the department helped us, which was great since she knew what she was talking about. In conclusion, I got a basic sewing set with scissors and pins. I also got my patterns. I decided I wanted to make my quilt a "cutesy, girly pink" type of quilt. I chose between that and the florals. I just seem to adore cute things. The backing of my quilt was very expensive for 3 1/2 yards! Oh well, hopefully the final product will look nice. My aunt paid for it and she wants to see the final product too. (My sister also got a pillow set and is going to make her own pillow. I made a pillow during girl scouts, and I finished way ahead of the other girls. Now, that's a different story itself). I will also show you my quilt once I'm finished with it. It might take me a couple weeks, maybe even a couple months to finish. With finishing school and my AP test coming up in a month, I will be busy. I will take my time because I want it to look nice and I don't want to waste my aunt's money. (Who doesn't?)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

For the rest of the night I just ate at the spaghetti factory. I like how the restaurant in Downtown Portland is by the river side. As we were going there my mom noticed how many buildings they had put up since we first started eating at the spaghetti factory years ago. There used to be nothing! Oh, how time changes! There, they had a balloon sculpting (or whatever you call them) guy. In fact, I myself know how to make a balloon animal! I can make a dog, an elephant, and a.... SNAKE! Haha! I guess I should keep practicing. :)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Anyway, I hope all you school attending pupils had or will have a great spring break! I'm not in the mood to go back to school on Monday since I do have a quiz. I guess school might get better. I did get accepted into the National Honors Society (Like many students at my school). I also might take Japanese! My life can be spontaneous.

^_^

My First Photoshop Post

Hi Everyone! Anyway.....

I recently got into fashion and different styles. I got this style from watching Gone with the Wind Scarlett O'Hara's style shows us some Victorian in a Southern Belle type fashion. I had to watch the movie for a project, and I love the dresses the women wore.I started soon looking online at Victorian type dresses. I just admire it all. Recently I went to this large book store called Powells in Downtown Portland and there was a whole section dedicated to fashion. They had a book on fashion from the late 19th century. I was leaving so I couldn't look at it.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 520px; height: 355px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXWHFvTnPfzjk_iExVBs33GHqUoc0uunu_OSgubRR2J51IMtcZNzPq7GRJKs6bd77tykhav3uq0-QUE25xJikYV4a4v2GCjGyQrbKy9iKG9Za6RKhUoN7czEhgIzuSl1ym1JGVe7lqxtQ/s320/victorian-wedding-dresses.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5586007909181301378" />

Recently, I've really wanted to learn how to create my own clothing. I think that would be a great opportunity for me. I don't have much to do and I would love to find myself a hobby. I don't know where I can start, but I should learn how to sew. My mom thinks it would be nice for me to do something. For spring break, since I'm not doing anything, (I'm not going to California, so that whole post was mostly a lie. Sorry!)I wanted to do arts, crafts, and all that jazz.

I will probably be updating a lot this week, but I will probably be showing more pictures. I'm still, though, having trouble linking some pictures to the design page. I will get it going by Monday. I hope you all have a great Spring Break (Well it depends where you are or even if you get a spring break). Hopefully the weather is nice!

-Meghan!

My Fashion Sense (Part 2)

Today, I realize how many young girls are trying to grow up too fast. When I was their age (lets just say 8 or 9 years old), I collected Pokemon cards and didn't care what I was wearing. I only cared about my friends, getting straight A's in school, and swim team.

Now today, little girls are starting to wear more makeup and dress inappropriately. My sister talked about how she wanted to wear a bra! When I was 12-13 when I got a bra, I screamed and begged my mom that I was fine. A few months ago, I saw a picture of little girl training bras. Seriously, 8 year olds don't need to wear bras. If they need to wear something under their main shirt let them wear an undershirt. That's what I did!

Continuing on with little girls, their clothing gets shorter and tighter. The neckline on some little girls' dresses are way too short. These girls are walking around with short shirts and tank tops with little cloth.

What I believe little girls should wear is something that covers most of their bodies. They can wear skirts, but not too short. (If it is really short they should wear leggings) Overall, little girls can be as cute as they want. Wear dresses and blouses, that's fine with me!

Anyway, I believe that people can wear whatever they want, but they should dress in a decent matter. What are your views on clothing?

Spring Break

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4UHO1x8b9TkzojgJrrf6e-JJvyMiwdhUsVGDDgS0clQV7DZITYpWi7QG_vJZ5HDCpBEK02hWvOukmngEaEM7jHgHdMZaGyWs9JuDvz45r6DfNtD5OVopaUOjpfttMuU5mXp7qpeVGaqk/s320/the-beach-at-santa-monica.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5583955513478574066" />
This spring break I hopefully will be going to California. My dad is trying to convince my mom to drive us down to Los Angeles for the week. For a couple of times, she has refused. I seriously want to go to California rather than stay home all week. If I do stay in Oregon, THAT IS ALL I WILL BE DOING! I want to do many types of act ivies while I am in California, one of them includes going to the beach. I know that Oregon has beaches, but they are cold and windy. Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful and clean, but I prefer to lie on the warm sand. I want to make a sand castle real bad! :D I also want to try to get into a taping of a TV show in Hollywood. Unfortunately, you have to reserve for it months in advanced. I'll do the best I can though. I will also get to see my dad's new boat! It is two stories and I have only seen it in pictures. Anyway, what are you guys doing for Spring Break? Are you working or going on vacation? camp? Nothing?? I have a thing for polos. They are simple yet classy. My favorite store is Lacoste, and sadly they don't have one in Oregon. They are expensive though. :( The last one one I got was on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I was a couple inches shorter and weighed barely over a hundred pounds. Now ten pounds and 2-3 inches later I can barely fit into the shirts. I guess that is what happens when you grow. :D The second shirt is a type of polo style I like. I believe the brand of the picture is Ralph Lauren, which is also expensive. I find this style at many other stores which are not as expensive. Oh, an graphic tees! I'm an artistic person so yah.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho1tXKPL6bP7hnuae0T_L9ykEbsmwsglkwZYBWXXsCbuE5fUc_AQDC9srpacS37kPqx1coVgGiSzXrKUYHU1XZ18S6K_SN-qX3zdm1avTdESd0eJXeB03abmgzdxO1G6lsvACs6rPQhho/s320/Miss-Style-Trench-Coat-Jacket-BUR-W090929011-.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5583728907861230626" />
I'd also like to add I love this style of jacket. It is usually refer ed to as "trench coat". I saw this type of jacket in black, which I prefer. The ones, though, I have seen have been over 300 bucks, one even over 3000. (The 3000 dollar one was from a company called Blueberry and is very expensive. It was a very nice coat though. People with all their money!)

My favorite type of shoe? I enjoy wearing tennis shoes, flats, army style boots, Mary Jane's, and some styes of heels. I dislike uggs and gladiator sandals for some reason, they just don't appeal to me. I don't wear heels very often. I like the black ones that have straps around the ankle. I love to wear tennis shoes at school. It is simple for me since I'm a simple person. (Haha, not really). I just adore mary jane shoes. Who says little kids are the only ones who can wear them! There are certain styles for teens/adults also. They are cute. :)

Now for this section, I will tell you what I wear on a daily basis. Much of the items I've mentioned I don't actually wear. I usually just wear the jeans and t shirt to school. I wish I could have the courage to dress how I like. Right now, it is hard for me. Money and all, haha. Anyway, my next post is going to be the real topic.

The link for Farm Girl at Home is
farmgirlathome.blogspot.com

Tiredsome

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 169px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvuxIbIp4HX3ruQ8wyH727aW8nvwcqheB-EESjPtbDb2HJHP1WgGzQUEYwFo5UhX4Jcpc14_4yq8vCAcOEvElSWZwDV2CqkTRidqBcLGLhktU7aZaU6GJc7rd-tf4vF_WIs5aLjhNo2uY/s320/sleeping.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5580056881709262114" />
I have been very tired lately, don't know why. My eyes slowly close and my body turns down, but it is two o'clock in the afternoon! Anything, the real reason is probably due to the fact my iron level is low. Someone (me) hasn't been taking their medicine. Ugh, I know! "TAKE YOUR MEDICINE!" Maybe I would if I woke up earlier. Maybe I should go to bed earlier...... I wonder......................

My School and their Budget

As my classmates and I print out our essays for third period AP US History, you wonder if the school is using the money for the right things. When I first came to the school last year, everything seemed to be running smoothly. As the school budget declined and many teachers cut, everything started to go downhill. We have cut days, larger classes (Don't get me started on the larger classes. You can't breathe anymore), and just overall a dis functional environment. It is hard to wait five minutes for one document to print. There are supposedly at least six or seven other printers in the school? How come only one or two or them work? It comes back to what the principle spends the money on. Apparently, he spent a whole bunch of money on IPODS for gym. WHY? I don't know. Most people already have IPODs. He also gave a student an IPAD for a recent "unnecessary" contest we had. (How much are IPADS, like, four hundred bucks?) That money could of been used to fix our printers....... I shouldn't be complaining though. The principle does do a fair job running this school and the high school is high on its academics. But seriously, why'd you need to give a student an IPAD. In conclusion, I'm not criticizing the school administration on its work, but on how it spends its money. Portland Metro Schools aren't doing so well these days due to cuts in school funding. Maybe its a state wide thing. I guess I should calm down a little bit. But, seriously, us students are crowded in our classes! (*cough*French*cough*) Haha, I'm so pessimistic! :D

A Day in the Snow

Today was unexpected when I actually saw snow outside my window. The night before I could hardly sleep due to the fact that I was nervous about whether or not I would have school. Lets just say I'm "calm and collective" right now. Yes, I still have my math homework to do, but its just twenty or so problems. haha

I went on an hour walk around my town, and just to let you know it was just like any typical walk I go on. As you might have guessed if you have read my old blog, I rarely ever put any pictures of my actual life. Well, I felt in the mood to show some pictures. Yes, I do not have as much snow as you would have thought. In actuality, just a little more than this amount of snow can cancel school. (Which it did).

So what did I do? I walked, went to the park, then to Starbucks.

When I go for walks, I always have to go to the small local park. Why? I have things on my mind, that's why. I swing for about fifteen to twenty minutes while I listen to my IPOD. My brother always makes fun of me for swinging while listening to my IPOD. It isn't any different then what I normally do on swings. Think Because I can relax while swinging, I imagine of an imaginary world or certain situations I can get into. Please don't get me started about what they are about.

I headed off to Starbucks after I sat at the park. Starbucks rarely makes my hot chocolate as hot as I want it. Hot, not medium- hot. I am picky, but so is the rest of my family. Both my parents have thrown away a drink because it was terribly made.(I did not know what was wrong with it due to the fact I never drink coffee). Yes, what a waste of money. It is so hard with prices going up these days.

That was it for me. I had nothing else to do. I went back to my house. During the time of my walk, I felt something. I realized I was walking alone while others had someone around them to talk to. My classmates I saw wouldn't even look at me. (I live in a small town). It is very hard these days for me,especially with the dramatic increase of insults I get from people. I wonder what others think of me, but in reality I should not care what they think. Being human, it is hard not to ignore what people say about us. I guess we have to live through it all.

Currently noon, I write this post. Hopefully I can get more pictures for you to see. I'm not a "photo person", more of a "film person". I prefer to make movies then to take pictures. I plan on making videos in the near future. Don't know if I'm going to post them on here or on my YouTube channel. I'll tell you otherwise. Anyway, have a nice day. Hopefully I'll get going on my math homework......

-Meghan ^-^

Here are some pictures
<img style="display:block; They are extremely important in an interview for a job. Recently, I talked to my mom about this subject. First impressions can tell someone who we are with just a few minutes. They can be good, but also bad. How can they be bad? Lets say you are applying for a job or having a college interview. (Something on the lines of that). You act in a manor which is unappealing to the person you are talking with. They apparently find no interest in you whatsoever, so you don't get into the college or the job. First impressions also apply to meeting people. I've made many mistakes on talking to people for the first time. One thing is I talk way too much about my problems and how, "I never do anything." I should be more interested in what the other person is talking about rather than just thinking about myself. It isn't bad to talk about yourself, but if you are only talking about yourself than you have a problem. There is another problem with first impressions. They can deal with how you look also. If you are dirty or don't seems to dress nice, people might label you as a slob. I really dislike judging someone by how they look, but that is how society works these days. It relates to me in high school. People at my school tend to talk to the person who dresses in the nicest clothes and is well put together in appearance. If you are sloppy in the way you dress, then people back off. The "sloppy" person could be a nicer person then the other. That is how I feel. I don't have the best sense of style, but I do try to dress casual. But hey, that is how high school kids are. Anyway, first impressions can be very important in business and in your social life. Hopefully we can make a good one.

If it Were to Snow

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 284px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAv8n0Oj3fdqUmJJzyjtE8IPDuo36quPq5NwAhukNJHTfqG1KWMGOgrCg4Bf4cnXATtp7knFT-1OCABZCm_8Cw4Yug-PqJSPyiy4u4T27bHiz1fTsxTl2BWx6mHdcwqu0WsNLVEffxhL4/s320/girl-snow-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576779239784377490" /> I have given up on the weather man. The last two or three times he said it would snow, it did not snow. He should know that we school children dread the feeling of a snow less night. I guess he (or she) is doing their job. Portland is apparently suppose to be getting snow showers for the next few days. Most likely, those places will not including where I live. Even though I live at a high elevation, not an inch of a blanket of snow hits the ground. Maybe it is just me, but I love the feeling of waking up in the morning with an inch or two of snow at least.(Especially on a school day. Those who do not regularly get snow know what I mean) Well, I am lucky I get to miss school on snow days. When my dad was a kid in St. Paul, he had to go to school even when it snowed. On the other hand, my mom lived in Los Angeles.(You hopefully understand what I mean) Even on ice covered roads, my mom refuses to drive. Because of her fear of driving on wintery conditions, I've missed a few days of school. The reason for that is we lived at a higher elevation and the lower elevation would have clear conditions. I guess that is how it is then. Anyway, I doubt we will get snow, or enough to close the school.
