Recommended for medium to high pile carpeting and smooth flooring, the Miele Capricorn S5981 S5 Galaxy HEPA vacuum cleaner offers your choice of 10 1/2″ wide electric powerbrush for standard cleaning or 13 5/8″ wide powerbrush ideal for thick pile and pet hair.

A parquet floor brush also is included to thoroughly but gently clean wood and tile floors.

The convenient plus and minus (+ / -) on-handle controls are on the deluxe ergonomic handle, so you can quickly adjust the Miele Capricorn’s power to six levels, depending on the type of flooring you’re cleaning or surface you’re dusting. Easy to understand graphic symbols indicate which setting is best suited for different kinds of surfaces, such as rugs and carpets, drapes or hard floors.

The Vortex Motor System packs the power of 1200-watt performance. It is designed for optimal power usage through the airflow for great cleaning performance with superior dust intake.

The three smooth-running 360° caster wheels mounted on steel axles ensure maximum stability and maneuverability for your Miele Capricorn vacuum cleaner. They are cleverly designed with a travel ramp to help you maneuver your vacuum easily over thresholds and around obstructions.

The 4.76 quart AirClean dustbag provides additional filtration and features a self-closing collar that automatically seals the bag as soon as the dust compartment lid is opened.

For short breaks, the wand and floor tool can simply be inserted into the park system with automatic motor shutoff on the back of the barrel. This allows you to answer the door or the telephone without having to find an unsafe resting place for the wand or laying it on the floor.

For safe storage and easy transportation, two fittings allow the telescopic wand assembly to be hooked onto the barrel when it is upright – one on either side. So no matter whether you are right-handed or left-handed, the Miele Capricorn S5 Galaxy canister vacuum offers you an ideal solution. If you need to carry the vacuum cleaner up and down stairs, you will have the other hand free to hold on to the railing.

Mr Korman purchased the vacuum on the right a Hoover model 63 from us in 1956 the year I was born. In 1975 I rebuilt it at the age of 19. 2011 he traded in on a lighter machine a Riccar Supralite RSL1A. His old machine still runs great and is on display.
