I guess it is a blog and therefore personal, but all I wanted to do was write about reading at Wando. 

That's OK. I know that Wando kids read at home, too. 

We checked in books all day long from students who had been reading over spring break. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was in the book drop. Maybe it's because Wando students do read, and I want to try to connect them with some good books.

Reading is very personal, often solitary, but I have connected with many students over the years through books and my life is different because of that interaction.
