Okay, I know this post is a bit late for Mother’s Day but I felt the title was perfect for the post. I’ve been stressing out the past month, especially these past two weeks. I ended up posting a small little tweet on Twitter because sometimes you need to do something right away to vent. I was not able to make this long post at the time so I tweeted. To those that have been asking why I have not been streaming on Twitch.Tv, playing on League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and/or other games, this is why. Real life. I do play games once a week with my friends, Valinet & Aeonknight from the WoW Gold Titans for their Alt Tabbed Show every Sunday. Back to the post.

May 4th to 11th…

Two weeks ago on Saturday, my son woke up early in the morning with a fever. He was complaining about his knees hurting, and he would throw up from time to time. The fever went away by Monday but was still coughing. He was fine Tuesday to Thursday, but we kept him at home from school because you can tell he was still not one-hundred percent better. My son did go to school for a little bit on Wednesday, but that was for some testing by his school psychologist. After she was done testing him, we took him straight home.  Thursday night, he woke up not being able to breathe. Once I got him to stop crying, he was able to breathe a bit easier and fall back to sleep.  Friday morning, he woke up wheezing again. My husband and I ended up taking him to the doctor but by the time we got there, he was feeling a lot better. The doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with my son and just made her diagnosis as Allergies. Needless to say, I basically spent an entire week glued at my son’s side.

May 12th to Now…

Oh Mother’s Day. I did laundry and hanged out with my son. I wanted to do something but didn’t want to risk my son having another allergy attack, especially since he has school the next day. I did receive a small gift from a friend. Granted I was suppose to get it a couple of weeks ago, but I really liked the timing in which I received my gift: Defiance! To be honest, I’m a bit sad that I have this game. Since I got it, I haven’t had the time to play it but I will one day. Maybe this Sunday for the Alt Tabbed Show?

Wednesday…was horrible. My husband and I had a little meeting with my son’s psychologist to discuss his results. She has some concerns about next year, and even mentioned that she saw some characteristics of my son being autistic. I was a bit heart-broken by that. I really don’t know or believe my son is autistic, but I definitely see why his psychologist would be concerned. I try really hard not to cry when I’m volunteering in my son’s class, because I know he’s not like his classmates. I understand that every child is different but my son is going to be five years old on Monday, and he does not really speak to express himself. Most five year olds, you can have conversations with. Back and forth interaction along with eye contact sometimes. They say what is on their minds. My son…does not. My son just looks around and stares off into space. You can ask him a question and he would not answer you. I would put him into time-out, and he would just scream and cry forever. I cried that night. In fact, I’m pretty sure you might want to say that I bawled hysterically. I felt like an absolute failure as a parent that night; not because of “he has autism” but because of “what if he doesn’t have autism”.

The next couple of days were not so bad other than a lot of hard work with my son. I started working with my son right away on his eye contact. I made sure that every time I talked to him, he would look at me. Every time I asked him a question, I would not settle for a Yes or No answer because I wanted him to respond with a sentence. For example, when I would ask what color is the sky; I wanted to hear my son say “The sky is blue” instead of “blue”. Instead of eating wherever my son felt, I designated his table as the only place he can eat his food at. After he’s done with his plate or cup, he takes it to the sink and/or rinses it. He helps me make my coffee in the morning, as well as his meals during the day. My hubby and I changed his eating habits as well by limiting the amount of his already-limited sugar, and changing the times he eats. Overall, I was being more strict with rules, adding structure, changing his diet, and keeping him busy with every possible helpful thing he could do. Needless to say, I’m already seeing a change in my son’s speech and confidence. I do feel my son does need help such as speech therapy but at this point, I do not think he’s autistic anymore. I can actually call his name, and I get a “Yes Mama?” with a smile as well as his big brown eyes looking at me.

The next couple of months….

I’m sorry. I never thought I’d make this post so long, but I really needed to vent out. Monday (the 20th) – not only is my son’s 5th birthday, but also my first day starting at my externship site. If all goes well at this externship site for the next six weeks, I could be hired as a full-time employee. I’m really excited and hopeful about it, but part of me is freaking out about not getting the job. I basically have no job experience whatsoever, other than being a mother. Some of you may think “Oh, well you’ll get that working for the externship”. True? Yes, but I’m still not used to working on timed schedule. This job also requires you to not only pass a certification exam from a national organization, but also the company gives you a test prior to hiring. I’m a nervous wreck thinking about it but my biggest worry is my son. If I do get hired, I’ll be away from my son a lot more and I’m worried that he will regress. He has made tremendous progress the past couple of months, especially the past couple of days. My son starts kindergarten in the August, so my husband and I have made lots of plans for my son to get him ready. If all goes well, then he’ll be ready for kindergarten, and we won’t have to home-school him. **Crosses Fingers**

Okay, so I have been busy the past couple of months! First things first, I was surprised to receive a birthday cake from my guild leader. You would think: “Oh wow. Your guild leader got you a cake, so what?” Well, some may or may not know that my birthday is the day before April Fools. My guild leader of Dark Tendencies thought it would be great (as in hilarious) if I had a cake with a Penis decoration. That’s right, the male organ: A Penis. I will admit that I thought it was hilarious but I actually was a little bit embarrassed by the whole thing, mainly because I live with my in-laws. How do you explain that someone whom you have never met online and only know through a MMO game bought you a birthday cake with a penis on it? Simply saying just that. Nevertheless, my in-laws thought it was hilarious and the cake was delicious. The best part of the cake was not the penis itself but the fact that my guild leader made sure the inscription said “Happy Birthday from Dark Tendencies. Make a wish and blow.”  Now, I’m not going to put a picture of the entire cake but I will post one of the last pictures I took of it.

Another thing that has been keeping me busy besides school is friends. When I was pregnant with my son and new to the city, I was looking for playgroups for him in the area. I found a website called “MeetUp”  where there are groups for you to join and events are held to meet up with people who have similar interests. Out of curiosity, I found a group that consists of WoW players. Keep in mind that I joined this WoW Meetup group in 2007 and until about two weeks ago, I have never been to a single event. My first WoW meetup event was fun and I made a few friends who not only played WoW but other games like League of Legends. Some of my old friends, (some of you may know them as the WoW Gold Titans) made a streaming show called “Alt Tabbed Gaming Show” where they talk about games they want or have played in the week. I would like to say I am a frequent guest on that show and it usually streams every Sunday at 8pm Eastern (5pm Pacific) on their stream.

Guild Wars 2 just had their free Trial weekend and I was able to snag two trial keys for me and my husband. After a full weekend of playing it, I am a bit hooked. I upgraded my trial account to a full one, and I am having loads of fun on my Norn Ranger. What I like most about the game is exploring a new world. It is so beautiful look at the mountains and trees compared to what I am used to in World of Warcraft. I also love the subtle interactions you have in the game like playing with baby snow leopards or feeding salmon to a baby bear. And no, it’s not a part of a quest or an objective, it’s just a random thing you can do in-game. Just because!

Okay to be honest, there are a lot more things I can talk about such as how I am handling with my son being in school, how I am with school, how I am also into playing League of Legends and getting out of my comfort zone of playing a Support Champion, or how I am trying to post videos on YouTube…but I am not. I’m going to end this post right here, mainly because I am starting to nod off as I am typing this. Side note: Running on inadequate amounts of sleep is bad for you.

Seeing as how the Spring Semester starts for me tomorrow, I thought I would share my recent transmogging. So far, the purple transmog outfit is my absolute favorite. I managed to find recolored versions of it and yes, I collected them all! I haven’t come across any problems with bracers showing, so I didn’t list any in the outfits. The pieces that stay the same are mainly Helm, Gloves, and Belt across all these outfits. I also have my mace and off hand transmogged, but they are not all the important.

So I was on Facebook earlier today and I started writing a new status, just to announce that today is my 5 year wedding anniversary with my husband. I was going to write a simple sentence but I felt like I wanted to add a lot more detail. Back in 2010 was the last time I wrote a post where the main topic is about “marriage”, so I decided to make one now. If you don’t already know, my husband and I met through World of Warcraft. I met him for the first time in-game around August 2006 when he helped and later joined my guild.  My life was not going too well at that point so Long story short, he was (and still is) my best friend. After talking to him every day, I decided to meet up with him for the first time in real life in July 2007. Oddly enough the first movie we saw together as well as our first date was “License to Wed“.

When I first found out I was pregnant with my son that following August, I was scared sh*tless. Sure, most people have found true love via interwebz but definitely not by the time they first meet. How was I suppose to know that this guy would stand by me through out everything that the future will have to offer AND a kid? Yes, I was scared, mainly because we’ve seen the movies and TV episodes of single parent hardships. Yes, there are single parents who excel at it, but I didn’t (and still don’t) want that lifestyle for me. My husband was ecstatic, while I cried. When he asked me why I was crying and I told him about my fears about the future, then he said the most comforting thing to say to me at that point: “Why would I sleep with you if I didn’t already know I wanted to spend my life with you and to start a family with you?” I will admit I was still scared but I felt so much better after hearing him say those words.

Needless to say, I decided to take a chance at it and here we are after being married for 5 years. Some people make fun of marriage like it’s a prison sentence, but my husband has been really great to me. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better person to be married to, to be the father of my son, and my best friend who supports me in every step towards the future. Ok, he does has flaws. Yes, we had some tough times. Overall though, I have had the best times of my life with my husband. I know he loves me just as I love him…unconditionally. I know it just tickles my heart, every time I hear someone comment how cute we are together.

After reading a bit of my post from last year, I decided to end my “2012 year” with a short blog post. Let’s see in 2012, I have accomplished a lot in the past year.

1) Real Life - I got a bit of a break from school during the summer and started my Medical Coding & Billing program in the Fall. I ended up getting an A in both of my classes. I also learned a lot about the Medical field and the positions available to me, once I have completed the program. I am still a bit nervous about what the future will bring, but I am hoping that eventually that I gain enough confidence to really reach my potential. My son has been a little angel, and I cannot believe how fast he is growing. I wish he would slow down, so I can have a little bit more time =/Also usually around this time of year, I get down in the dumps because well, it’s the “holidays”. It’s usually the time when families get together, and I miss my family back in California. If all goes well this year, hopefully I can finally see them again.

2) General WoW – I became an Officer in my guild, Dark Tendencies! I met a lot of other WoW players via YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch! Not only did I get my violet Proto Drake from completing all the achievements during the holiday events, but I also finally got Lumpy!! Granted, I had help from a guildy who already had him but at least I got him! I recently started raiding again, and I am loving it. I just hope that with the upcoming school semester, that I will still be able to continue raiding or at least have time to level up my Female Pandaren Hunter!

3) Videos/Streaming – Being a new addition as an Officer in my guild, one of my responsibilities is making a videos to help promote my guild. So you may see some more videos by me with my guild’s crest included. Sometimes you may also see my videos on just my guild’s YouTube Page. All in all, I love making informative videos. I find that Tutorials are my strong suit, plus I love showing people what they don’t know. :) I recently got into streaming on Twitch.tv! Thanks to a couple of my friends who already do it! Speaking of which, I haven’t done that in a while…

4) New Year’s Resolutions? – Hmm…Excel in my classes, Be more active and work out, and be able to live another healthy year. Obviously, I have more goals than that for this year but this is what I hope to achieve at a minimal.

I know it’s been a while since I last posted. It is that time of year where we give thanks and appreciate the people and the things we have in our lives, and that’s what I am going to do in this post. Last year, Blog Azeroth & Amerence hosted a Thanksgiving event where bloggers in the community wrote poems, drew pictures, made videos to give out their thanks to other warcraft bloggers. My post last year was more about giving thanks to all the blog writers out on the web, including an old high school friend. Since school has me preoccupied this year, I am unable to keep up-to-date with all my fellow Bloggers but my appreciatation towards them has not shrunk. I still value everyone’s time and effort into keeping a blog. It’s not an easy thing to do, especially when others may think it is silly. Well, it’s not! So keep up the good work :)

Other than my fellow bloggers, I would like to give thanks to anyone who has taken the time to socialize with me. Yes, that sounds creepy. I mean it though. I’m thankful for my guild members, as well as my guild leader from Dark Tendencies. I know I don’t play World Of Warcraft as much as you all would like me too, but I’m thankful that you guys keep me in your thoughts. I love hearing about the conversations and stories about you guys that my husband shares with me. I miss you tons! Don’t worry, I’ll be back to playing soon! I also have met a couple of people through Twitter and YouTube that I play different video games with, especially my WoWTangClan friends: WoWMartiean, Zarxces, Valinet, & Aeonknight. These guys have been like brothers to me and I always enjoy hanging out with them. I seriously cannot thank them enough for being such great friends. They are always motivating and encouraging me, especially when it comes to homework. LOL.  The same goes for all my friends, whether it’s my friends in games or friends who I see on a daily basis. I love you all and I hope you know that ^_^  That’s pretty much it. I can sit here and write forever about it, but let’s face it. There’s no amount of words that can describe how awesome a person can be, how blessed I am, or how wonderful a blogger can write. There’s just…no. Not enough words that would do it or them justice.

( p.s – I know I didn’t list family on here, but that’s because that’s a given. Don’t be dumb. I love my family more than anything. )

In a quick nutshell about real life: My knee is 100% better. Yay! School is going great. Almost done with the semester. Next semester will be a pain in the butt, especially in the financial sense. I’ve been stressing out about it, but hubby purchased me my Bamboo Tablet that I always wanted to help take the stress off and it has.
