Today I am wearing a couple of pieces I picked up at Anthro over the weekend, the Swift Current cardigan and the Climbing cowlneck tee. I actually brought home 4 new items from Anthro this trip, a shocking indulgence for me. I am usually soooo methodical that I only buy one piece at a time.

I was a little iffy on this tee at first. I tried sizing up to the small but the shoulders were way too loose. So I grabbed the XS in store and still wasn’t thrilled with how the cowl neck droops down. Too much flash potential. But, then I tried it on with the Swift current cardigan and I was sold.

I love how the pleats from the tee combine with the pleating in the ruffles of the cardigan. I decided it was worth a little fashion tape. As you can see, no green for me today. I am anti-holiday dressing lol.

I was having a serious @ss dragging day today. Blame it on the fact that I never got out for Starbucks and had to settle for drip coffee. What is the point of drip coffee, really?! Late in the day I decided I needed a pick me up, so I drug out my Liberty of London pieces to see if I could put together any outfits. Being that it was already past 4pm, the hair and make up crew had already gone home for the day. I hope you don’t mind lol.

I saw my ENT surgeon again today and we talked in depth about the post surgery look and function of my nose. I’m so excited about it, I wanted to share. Of course feel free to skip this if you don’t like hospital talk. I promise I won’t be getting into icky details lol.

So, the first part of the surgery will be a septoplasty, straightening my septum and smoothing any other bits obstructing my breathing. After that she’ll reshape the nose. Taking off the major bump I have, narrowing my bridge, and refining the tip to match. We talked a lot about keeping my bridge straight, not scooped out and not turning up the tip too much.

She gave me a print out of what she has in mind for the rhinoplasty. I kind of hate to share my big ole nose and pudgy chin in their FULL glory, these pics are not forgiving lol, but I’m so excited about the change that I’m going to anyway. Something I haven’t talked about yet on the blog is that I plan to have under my chin done at the same time as my nose surgery. I didn’t mention it before because it kind of makes me feel like crazy plastic surgery lady having two procedures lol. But I think these pics really illustrate why I want it done. You can see in the first pic, I have a pad of fat under my chin that pulls my profile down. Since I only weigh 115lbs, no amount of weight lose is going to budge it! So I figured now is the time to do it all. It’s a very minor procedure compared with the nose and I think it makes a huge difference bringing everything together.

So here is my current profile on the left and the new look we’re going for on the right.

I made my surgery appt today. It will be April 21st, eek!

I am always shocked when my Target actually has one of the designer lines. They didn’t have Jean Paul Gaultier earlier this week. So I almost didn’t even stop today to see if they had Liberty of London. But I was in town, so I gave it a go. I got a little rush when I walked in and saw they where just finishing up laying everything out!

I felt a bit of a LOL frenzy in the air at Target, which is surprising for my small town. There was not swarms of people around the racks but the ladies that were there obviously had a plan and were not to be messed with lol. The smallest sizes of clothing were disappearing fast and the housewares and decor were growing thin as well.

On with the pics!

Ruffle halter dress

I took the XS in the ruffle halter dress. The fit is pretty good. I was expecting it to run big but I this is definitely wearable. The dress has just the right amount of ruffle across the top. I’m very glad they did not triple of the ruffle like they did on the top. The print is just adorable. Bright and clear. The waist cinches with a string tie but I think it needs a proper belt. I couldn’t resist taking this home. Hopefully I can work it with a belt and cardigan

Sateen shift dress

The sateen shift dress is the highest quality piece in the collection in my opinion. The fabric is a substantial, weighty even, cotton fully lined in polyester. The cut and darts are all just right. I tried on the size 2 which was just a little too big on me. The 0 was already sold out. The more I think about it, the more bummed I get that I missed it!! The zipper on this is a little sticky but nothing that a good tug can’t solve.

Pleated dress jumper print

I took an XS in this as well. Again, fit is good so I took it home to try out with a belt. The neckline on this dress wraps around the neck and attaches with a button. Like a lot of the other LOL pieces, details like this were executed well. The dress could easily have been choking or itchy around the neck, but it is not.

Boho drop waist ruffle top

I took the XS in this top and as you can see, it has a very full fit. Still, it could have been cute with skinny ankle pants if it wasn’t for that blasted ruffle. The ruffle hem seriously takes it into Mrs. Roper territory for me.

Tiered ruffle keyhole tank

I took an XS in the ruffle keyhole tank. The fit in the body is really nice. Fits much better than any J.Crew cami has every fit me. What kills it for me though is that third ruffle. It’s just too wide through the shoulders and overwhelms the look. Why couldn’t they stop at two ruffles?!

The tank looks even better worn backwards.

Ruffle neck top pink dunclare print

I took the XS and again the cami fit really well. I didn’t notice any gaping under the arms and the neckline was just right. I took this one home with me. This top and the tank before are both fully lined. Most of the Liberty of London pieces are polyester but what do you expect, it’s Target lol. It’s not overly cheap looking poly and the prints can’t be beat.

Have you checked out Target’s Liberty of London line? What did you think??

DaniBP’s upcoming trip to Paris has me nostalgic for my own vacation last year. I thought it would be fun to revisit some of my favorite photos of the city.

As I went through my old pics today my favorites list got longer and longer, this post will be a mutli-parter lol. You really can’t take a bad picture of Paris. Everywhere you look is something amazing. Being in Paris is like living in a postcard.

My first picture show post is devoted to the Eiffel tower. I love how the tower follows you through the city, reminding you where you are. After a few day you start to feel a bit at home in Paris. Maybe even take it for granted. You will be walking around the city shopping or looking for something to eat, when you turn the corner and there is the Eiffel tower. In the distance, poking up through the stony apartments into the expansive Parisian sky and you think- oh yes, I am in Paris.
