Raya Decoration War 2012 - 1 Utama

I don't know how but I did manage to get the strength and passion to drive right from my very short visit at Sunway Pyramid through LDP Highway to 1 Utama...just to find and see what has 1 Utama accomplished for their Hari Raya decoration.

I arrived at around 11.30am on that Monday morning. Not very late I guess but to my surprise, it is still hard to secure a parking space there. I have to vroom up and down the levels before finding one. Lesson reinforced: Never expect to get a parking space easily there if you come after 11am...no matter it's a weekday and furthermore on weekends.

Next challenge: To find the Hari Raya decoration without asking anybody. Silly eh? Why do I have to take the trouble? Well, sometimes it is more challenging to be silly. Hehehe! I found the decoration quite easily at the Oval Section actually. Here are the pictures...

In my personal opinion, they have done a good job there. Very crafty and stylish indeed especially when you viewed the whole place from above. Good combination of design and lighting.

Having located the Oval Court swiftly, I made my move to locate the Centre Court. I took perhaps 30 - 45 minutes just to find it due to my lack of common sense that all the courts are interconnected by the LG level. Hahaha! To my dismay though, there's nothing much grander there compared to what was seen at the Oval Court. Well, at least they continued the nice theme there too...

For the time being, I have seen the themes and decorations used in KLCC, Aeon AU2, Sunway Pyramid and 1 Utama. I may still need to see the happenings at Mid Valley, Alamanda, etc. It is still uncertain as of now of who could have been the winner of this decoration war. The strongest candidate will surely be KLCC and 1 Utama, but the one at Aeon AU2 still deserve a consideration.

Let's see if I got the time to visit Mid Valley and Alamanda soon...

Telur Masin RM2 / piece!

Here is another scene at the Ramadhan stalls near my place...

I stopped by at a stall to buy 2 pieces of Telur Masin. I thought to myself that it will be a great addition to the stuff we already have back at home - together with Ikan Tauchu and Kangkung Goreng.

"RM4", was the reply from the girl when I asked on the price for that 2 pieces of Telur Masin.

I asked the girl again just to make sure that I did not hear wrongly. No change of price. 2 pieces of Telur Masin costs me RM4 that day! It was my mistake of not asking about the price first before ordering.

I asked my MIL back at home on the price of uncooked Telur Masin. She told me that it is only around RM0.80- RM1 a piece. So I know now that the seller has already put too much greed on profit there by selling the Telur Masin RM2 a piece. Double!!

The price of food stuff people are selling now is getting real craaaazyyy!!

Proton Inspira - R3 Bodykit

Once I decided that I will never install any bodykit to my Inspira. Reason that time was not to add up weight, put up too much downforce and eventually sacrifice fuel consumption.

Well, history that was. Hehehehe!

I ignored all that just to let aesthetics or looks conquer my thoughts. Undeniably, the looks of the car improved in terms of sportiness when the bodykit is installed.

OK, the mainstream of bodykits out there for the Inspira is naturally originating from Evo X and Lancer GT. Most modified Inspiras out there wear either one of those bodykit types. Since I am still standing firm with the stand to preserve the original Inspira look especially the front, I have decided to get the R3 bodykit instead.

For that purpose, I have bought the R3 side skirts and the rear skirts only since I don't really fancy the looks of the front skirt. Too bulky for me. The R3 side and rear skirts for Inspira cost RM700 with painting and was bought direct from a factory in Balakong.

Oh, mind you...this is not the original bodykit taken out from an existing manual Inspira. Fitting was completely OK but the finishing was not really perfect. You can see that the surface is not silky smooth if you look real careful but to me it is still ignorable.

This bodykit project is unfinished since I am still planning to put a bodykit for the front end. I am eyeing on the Airmaster version actually. Maybe I will get it sometime before the end of this year.

Nuraqilah @ 1 Year Old

My little baby daughter, Nuraqilah Maisarah a.k.a Aqilah a.k.a Kak Mai a.k.a Budak Kenit celebrated her 1st Birthday last 20th July...exactly a week before my own birthday.

So soon? Yup...time waits for no man. In warp speed, my little girl has grown up to become an active and boisterous toddler. She has a totally different personality than her big sis, Syiqah a.k.a Kakak. Aqilah is apparently tougher, louder, faster and braver.

She will sleep long hours during the day and transformed herself into Catwoman at night...wandering around the house in the dark...looking for reachable books, bags, clothes to be examined and tossed around...just like Catwoman who tossed around the villains in the Comic books and movies.

She will bite at newspapers, books and magazines with 2 of her 6 tooth and taste the bits in her mouth before pulling them all out using her fingers together with all the sticky saliva. Great to make the house messy! Hahaha!

She will scream at the sight of food. Any food. Biscuits, rice, ice cream...whatever. She will be very eager to get her fingers on them especially those sweet ones. She does not care about the taste though. The 'feel' is more important. Never delay her milk or food feeding. She will tear the house with her unbearable screaming. Wonder from who did she inherit such traits? Hehehe....

So far, she only loses a thing to her Kakak...that she still can't walk at 1 year old. Her Kakak started her walking journey on her 1st Birthday itself. Nevertheless, her crawls are faster than a speeding bullet so mothers-at-the-kitchen, beware!

She enjoys Outings as much as we enjoy the sessions ourselves. She will turn very restless and grumpy if we did not take her out for a spin in our family car at least once a week. Outings and our family is simply synonymous.

She is our Nuraqilah Maisarah and her presence together with Kakak just made the family more merrier than ever. Alhamdulillah!

Raya Decoration War 2012 - Sunway Pyramid

Uhuh, finally there is a snapshot of what is happening at Sunway Pyramid this year for the Raya decoration. I copied this picture from Sunway Pyramid official Facebook page itself. Haven't got the chance to be there as of now. Perhaps tomorrow?

Anyway, Sunway Pyramid adopts the Moroccan / Arabian theme for its Hari Raya decoration. Can't really judge from the picture on the grandiosity of their decoration though. The picture only shows perhaps only part of the area. Well, need to be there to witness and snap actual pictures myself to assess the situation.

It is still early to say without being actually there, but my initial opinion is that their theme for last year (remember the Railway Station?) looked better compared to this one. Perhaps this Arabian theme is a little bit farther from our Malaysian hearts eh?

PART 2

Eventually, I set foot at Sunway Pyramid and grabbed the chance to see the actual display of their Hari Raya decoration...

It seems that a furniture company has found some sort of collaboration with Sunway Pyramid for this decoration theme as there is a sign saying that the furnitures displayed there is for sale. It is quite a scene but my stand remains the same that the Arabian theme does not really blend with Hari Raya well.

Prawn = RM1 / Piece

Sambal Udang Petai. Hahaha...perhaps can be considered as part of your menu for the coming Berbuka?

Happened to be that one day that was exactly what I thought as my wife and I passed by the stalls near my place after work.

"How much do you want?", the seller who was a lady older than myself asked.

"How about RM3?", was my wife's reply.

The seller quickly scooped up 3 pcs of prawn and placed them in the plastic bag. The prawns were those small-medium sized ones...about the size of the old 50 sen coin each.

"3 PCS. ONLY??", my wife exclaimed in disbelief.

Yes guys, each of those small prawns has a RM1 tag to them. UNBELIEVABLE!

Seeing our disbelieved faces, the lady scooped in a couple more prawns after trying to explain to us that the price of prawns is high in the market nowadays. Yeah right, how high can it be that one of those little prawns must be sold at RM1 each eh?

In the end, we bought RM6 of those prawns and that managed to fill up a little bowl in our house.

p/s: Easy money for them but Halal or not...Wallahu A'alam!

Raya Decoration War 2012 - Jusco AU2

Yes, it is Raya Decoration War section again. Though Jusco AU2 is actually not in my list of places to observe, I do find that their decoration for Raya this year attractive.

Due to the limited space, Jusco AU2 did not do anything grand like what we have now at KLCC. The design is simple but to me attractive in that the main stage takes the form of the Pelita and there are flowers here and there to beautify that garden concept.

This is just the case where 'simplicity is beauty'

Nice work Jusco AU2!

Proton Inspira - Ultra Racing Rear Lower Bar Review

Owners of the Proton Inspira will definitely agree with me that in standard form, there is a little too much roll/sway from the rear of the car when driving along bends at high speed. Those who have replaced their standard absorber units to adjustables or changed their wheels and tires to wider, low profile ones may have eradicated the problem already, but what can those who are not willing to change those absorber/wheel units do to at least minimize this roll/sway?

The answer is simple and the solution is much cheaper than investing money on absorbers and wheels.

As what was done to the front section of my car, I have recently installed an Ultra Racing bar to the rear section of the Inspira (the front section used an Apexi Strut Bar). Point is, there are many types and positions for a reinforcement bar to be installed at the rear of the car. Question will be...which one to install?

I've tried looking for the answer to this question in various Inspira-related forums but the most common answer received was that it all depends on what you want. So much help then from the forums huh?

The best solution then is to adapt the 'Buy & Try' method. If found not satisfactory, I can always sell it back in Mudah. Hahaha...so I thought. So, one fine day I went to an authorized dealer nearby my house an ordered one Rear Lower Bar. It arrived the next day. Here is how it looks when installed...

Unfortunately, I could only enjoy the full effect of this Ultra Racing Rear Lower Bar several days later. The problem with that particular accessories shop was that it does not have a Ramp/Lift to elevate the car for proper installation of the bar. As a consequence, the bolts were not tightened properly (due to insufficient torque) and gave extremely annoying squeaks instead from the joints rather than rewarding me with improved handling. Sheesh!

I actually had to visit a Tire service centre (equipped with a Ramp lifter) to get that corrected and since the bolts were all loose, I had to spend extra money as well to re-do the Tire alignment.

Setting those installation problems aside, it is then time to deliver the verdict. Is it worth installing the Rear Lower Bar for the Inspira?

Sincerely, you won't really notice the effect IF you're driving in a straight line or engaging those corners with speeds less than 120km/h. With the bar installed, I can now drive along those nasty bends with more confidence as speeds up to 20% higher than before. My 'Test Track' is usually the DUKE Highway. The rear feels more intact now but I do feel that there is still room for improvement back there especially in eliminating that bumpy feeling when the car hits an uneven road surface while engaging the bends. Perhaps I will need to try the Tie Rod as well in the future.

With the bar costing RM148, I guess that it is worth buying.

Raya Decoration War 2012 - The Curve

Went to The Curve last weekend for our Raya Shopping and yes you are right...it gave me the chance to see what has The Curve done for their Hari Raya decoration...

OK, it is another 'Kampung' theme...similar to what has been done by KLCC, but at a significantly less grandiose manner apparently. The Curve has been brave to use rusty zinc sheets as roof for the huts though. That somehow is a great attempt to get that closer feel to the houses in the kampung I guess...though many houses in the kampung has already changed to tile roof rather than zinc ones. Hehe.

Comparing KLCC's to The Curve's deco, I must say that KLCC is the clear winner. I'll probably travel to Sunway and 1 Utama later this month to see what is going on there as well.

Raya Colour Theme 2012

The Raya Decoration War 2012

With Ramadhan opening its doors yesterday, it just means that there will be less than 30 days for Raya to come. No, No...I am not jumping in joy when thinking of the coming Raya. Well, those days when Raya was the most awaited event in the year has gone. Those moments only exist when I was a kid. The excitement vanished naturally as I grow older I guess. Perhaps it goes to everyone else out there?

I am writing now about the 'war' that shopping malls fight when it comes to Raya Decoration. The decoration 'war' has increasingly becoming more and more complicated each year; with each shopping mall trying to beat each other by adding various elements in their decoration...both traditional and modern elements that is.

Elaborate might not always win over simplicity so the 'war' out there is truly an open game. This one was one of the elaborate designs done by 1 Utama last year.

I've been to KLCC yesterday actually and saw what they've done to their Concourse Level for Raya - a big traditional Malay wooden house with green lawns surrounded by huts. Cute! Unfortunate that I did not have the time to shoot some pictures there and post it here. As I watched carefully yesterday, the decoration did successfully brought up that eagerness in me to 'Balik Kampung' though my mom's house is not a traditional wooden Malay house.

Wonder what is happening in Sunway Pyramid, 1 Utama and The Curve this year? I might spend my coming weekends exploring then. Hehehe!

Ramadhan Doors Are Now Open!

Only 3 posts in June and this is the first for July. The once prolific Warlord has definitely lost his productivity in posting entries in this blog. Reason...as was mentioned before, there were things that need priority more than spending time writing in the blog.

I would like to take this chance though to wish all my Muslim readers a Great Ramadhan! May all of us are given the strength and passion to wade through the holy fasting month and all its challenges by none other than Allah The Almighty. Amin!

Apart from the usual Ibadah associated with Ramadhan e.g. Tarawikh, Tadarus and Sahur, let us not forget to refrain ourselves from wasting food during Berbuka. It is really a very sad thing to see food being wasted in Ramadhan when in essence we are supposed to feel how is it like to live without enough food in a day, just like what is being experienced by many poor and unfortunate folks out there.

Ask our heart when buying or preparing food and never ask our tummy about it ya!

Handwriting - A Fast Forgotten Skill

Soekarno's Hand Writing

My typical day at work goes like this:

Arrived at the plant and grab the waste report. Went to meeting and jot down some notes. Then went to the office and started to click here and there with the mouse on the PC. Typed emails and reports using the keyboard. Make drawings using the mouse with the PC and print them out.

Back at home, it is again keyboards, mouse and touch screens.

Ponder for a while on how many times in a day that you actually used your fingers to hold a pen and write something on a paper. Several times? Less than 10 times a day? Short 3-4 words per phrase or the most...a paragraph of 15-20 words. That's it. That's how much in average that we actually used our fingers to write. Very little time indeed. Fact is, it is quite often that we found it hard to find even a single piece of pen/pencil in the house unless you borrowed it from your children. Hahaha!

Now, it was a very different situation when we were in the good old days of school. We were used to write essays of 300 words or more. Some of us may have used the writing skill to write entries in diaries or personal journals. Yes, love letters too. We basically write lots of words in a day and we did it daily. Writing was part of our life before but no longer it holds true now.

It is no wonder then that our handwriting was better that time compared to present. Try this. Write an essay about yourself. Make it a minimum of 300 words. When you've completed the 300 words essay, look back at your handwriting. Started nice but ended horrible? Or perhaps it was horrible all the way? I am also quite sure too that you will find that writing is getting harder. The fingers will get bruised or become numb fast, etc.

Fact is, writing is no longer part of our daily routine. It has been replaced with clicking and typing. Someday, the handwriting skill may be gone forever. It is not impossible frankly considering on the dwindling time that we've spent on writing with pen and paper.

Royal Malaysian Air Force Open Day 2012

I was informed that the 2012 Royal Malaysian Air Force Open Day will be held at the Subang AirBase months before the actual date of 3rd June 2012. The informer: Non other than my brother...the most avid fan/enthusiast of anything military that I've ever known. Hehehe! It was a bit strange then that when I Googled for it in the Net, info on it did not come from the organizer itself but from blogs. Again, as what happened in 2008, the organizers may decide not to promote the event too much to prevent too many people coming.

Several days before the event, I started to notice the sound of screaming jet engines in the sky from my workplace...obviously coming from the Subang AirBase. It was indirectly confirmed then that the show will be on as informed.

Unfortunately, this year I did not have the chance to visit the Open Day since the priority for last weekend was to visit my mom back in Johor. Well, no regrets...if I am destined to live many more years after this InsyaAllah I'll be able to visit one later.

What interests me more during the Open Day was not really the fast flying Sukhois and MiGs. The airshows...though done at the slowest airspeed possible were mainly still too fast for the naked eye to focus comfortably.

I was attracted more to the static displays and the booths...especially booths selling exclusively designed RMAF Squadron Shirts and Car Stickers. Can perhaps buy them online but the price may have already doubled or tripled from the original.

"Pujangga"

I was a school Prefect when I was in Form Two at High School Batu Pahat. Did not really like the idea of being one due to the extra responsibility received; especially when it comes to enforcing the law at school. The risks were plenty and they range from angry stares on the mild side to being bashed up by the school gangsters after school hours on the worst side. Anyhow, I was elected and I received the role with pride nevertheless.

One day, the duty roster showed that I have to guard at the 2nd entrance of the school. The task there was simple. Just wait for any latecomers and jot their names in the record book; which was later submitted to the Disciplinary Teacher for further actions. That day however my partner did not show up and so I have to brave the 15 minutes wait at the gate alone.

By the 10th minute, there weren't anybody attempting to go through the gate. I thought that there will never be one that day. I was about to leave when I spotted somebody approaching the gate.

A boy whose hair was side-parted approached me with a guilty face. He knew he was late and so I thought that I would not have to remind him of his offence. I opened up the record book and without seeing his face I asked for his name.

"Pujangga"'

I looked at his face in astonishment and asked for his name again. I thought that he was kidding with me. Instead of answering me, he showed me his Name Tag....

"PUJANGGA"

I let him in after jotting down his name in the book while trying my super duper best not to laugh at the fact that I have caught a PHILOSOPHER that day coming late to school!

Haven't seen one for quite some time?

I bet it is true for most of us.

I missed its noisy 'Tek Tek Tek Ting!' sound when the keyboard is tapped.

I missed its 'Krekkkkkkk' sound when it is pulled to the left.

I missed those moments when we have to wind up the ribbon when there was no more ink on the paper.

I missed those moments when I typed too fast and the keys got stuck together in the middle. Hahaha!

I missed those moments when I have to throw away paper after paper due to silly typing mistakes (that time there weren't any correction fluid yet)

Good thing is, there's still one left at my mum's house. Shall advise everyone not to throw that away because who knows that in 50 years time, that old Typewriter can be worth thousands of RM?

Comes with Pain

I was surfing Mudah.my lately to find if there is anything cheap to buy for my Inspira when I came across the above ad.

The item does not attract me (because I don't intend to change the front of my Inspira)

The price? Interesting...quite cheap (at RM680) that we can get the pseudo Evo X front bumper.

However, I would advise not to buy this item since it comes with Pain.

Buy it and you get pain as well. Get it? Hahahaha!

p/s: Miss just one letter and the whole sentence carry the wrong meaning already ya!

Drag Race @ Putrajaya - Safety Jeopardized

I am intrigued to voice my opinion on the recent drag race tragedy at Putrajaya during the Million Youths Rally 2012 event. The formal news that we've had was that 17 people were injured in the accident while rumours were hot in the air that several of the injured eventually succumbed to their death. I just can't confirm that.

Anyhow, the tragedy has happened and to those involved, my condolences goes to them. May all of them speedily recover from their injuries and trauma. Amin!

While it is definitely unwise to directly blame the government for the incident, there is actually truth in that the organizers has overlooked safety aspects in the whole drag racing event. Investigation results has not been published yet, but the following two Drag racing videos should clearly prove that something was amiss in terms of safety.

Let's see then the clip of the actual accident in Putrajaya...

As can be clearly seen, spectators of the event were located all along the drag path with the distance between them and the cars were approximately 5-10 metres only. To make things worse, there were no barricades like old tires or sand dunes in front of them to significantly bring the speed of any car that went astray down real fast. Their life hangs only on those portable steel fence.

Let's now see how a Drag race was done overseas...

Watch on how far are the spectators from the cars? See also how tall is the fence protecting them in case any car decided to fly off instead of rolling on the tarmac? Notice also that they don't really make drag racing at night, right?

Seriously, any kind of vehicle racing would definitely snatch a crowd to watch and a drag race will surely be a hot event. An organized event like the one held at Putrajaya should have been done with safety at the top of the list...far above all others. Unfortunately, it did not happen.

I haven't get myself to be in touch with the news going on around me lately though I know that I don't miss much since most of the stories are all about the political jokes made by our insanely 'humorous' politicians.

I've got myself online today to check on the news and somehow the first news that caught my interest revolved around my interest - cars. Well, I am quite sure that you've known already by now that somebody out there...a Malaysian that is has paid RM520,000 just to grab hold of the vehicle registration number WWW 1. Such is the power of number in the life of Malaysians. Surprised? No...not really.

Yes, I did pay RM250 just to get a continuation from my previous 3031, but that was purely for continuity and not due to some mystical belief whatsoever.

While being sure that the guy who paid that much just to get a special number stuck firm on his/her vehicle is a wealthy person who basically don't find another good way to spend his money on, I am actually wondering on what kind of vehicle he will put that quarter of a million worth number on?

Will it be on a RM2 million Ferrari or the more expensive Veyron? Or he will just use it on a 100cc Honda Wave? Hahahaha!

Whoever spotted that vehicle with that WWW 1 number, please send me the picture OK! Genuine one...not those modified ones spread wildly on the Net please :)

Life's Lessons In May 2012

Erk, it's almost the end of May already?

Seriously, it is getting harder and harder each day to catch up with the pace life is moving around us nowadays. It is all about speed and endurance in a combo. They just can't work independently now.

It's no use being a Cheetah - attacks with the speed of lightning but lasts only in a flash. That lightning strike must be sustained from a second to another and another. Only then, we can boast that we are able to catch up with life.

Health. One of the matters many of us take for granted; can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye. Not a second delayed if that is what is written for us by the Almighty. Reversible? InsyaAllah, if we never ever stop in believing that there is always a cure for every disease except death. Action and reaction develops only if we believe in the first place anyway. Taking into consideration on how fast the world moves now, even the decision to believe or not to believe needs to be done fast. There is no longer any privilege for us to take our own sweet time in it.

Death. Inevitable. It is just a matter of how soon or how later it will come. I recalled those moments when I looked after Arwah Ayah at the hospital back in 1999. The uncle who yesterday chatted so cheerfully with Ayah came back to Rahmatullah the next day without the slightest sign that he was going to leave so soon. Death visited the patients one by one...from corner to corner. It was eery. It was indeed. Arwah Ayah did the same and I was caught completely off-guard. The first few minutes was very blurry. I did not seem to understand what has happened. A wall of positivity kept me alive by saying that Arwah Ayah fainted. He did not faint. He has left us that day. That night....under my arms. The speed of truth has lost to fake positivity unfortunately.

Friends, it is not my slightest intention to deter you from reading this entry of mine, but I do find it hard now to stop myself from reminding my stubborn soul that everything I have in this world today is borrowed from Allah. One day, it will all be returned back to Him. He will not later ask me on how much money do I brought from earth. He will not ask on how fast do I get promoted at work. He will not ask on how many laughs I've made during my life....

p/s: If you do get the chance to read this Bangah...the first thing that you need to do is to start believing that you can. Leave everything else aside and let the Belief take you the flight of stairs up...one step at a time :)

A Lesson on Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR)

A couple of Pharmacist students from UKM took my Waist and Hip dimension to calculate a ratio called 'Waste to Hip Ratio' (WHR). Though feeling a little bit uncomfortable since those students were girls, I proceeded with the exercise anyway...for the sake of science and health. Hehehe!

My score: 0.9

The girls said that a person should get a score below 1.0 to be OK and below 0.8 to be GOOD. It makes sense right? I mean...if you get a score of 1.0, your waist and hips is of the same size. You're like a plank (I am almost a plank unfortunately). Straight from top to bottom. If you get it more than 1.0 then it says that you have a waist bigger than your hips. Bigger not because of lean muscles but unnecessary fat. Unfortunately, you can't be satisfied with a score of < 1.0 too if the waist measures 55" and the hips at 60", eh?

The students explained further that BMI (Body Mass Index) and WHR must be compared side by side to assess on whether a person needs to take action on any 'off-spec' figures or not and eventually to decide what kind of action is needed.

The girls proceeded to advise me on losing those extra inch at the waist to improve the WHR figure.

I instead promised to them (with a grin on my face) that I will get my hips to be larger so that I can improve the WHR number.

Hahahahaha! Managed to make them laugh!

Jokes aside...I should give that a consideration really :)

Folks, I would like to air a simple question to all of us and that is:

Why do we work? What is the reason?

The answer may be one of the followings or a combination of several of the reasons that I can think of for the moment...

1. We work to get money (since money can buy many things for us to live happily)

2. We work to get promoted (since usually promotion will bring more money...but it is not always true)

3. We work to get satisfaction (since we will only enjoy work when part of the outcome is self satisfaction)

4. We work to get noticed (because the attention given can be utilized for self esteem and promotion)

5. We work to be a director (because directing people is easy if you don't think so much of other things apart from the goal/objective)

6. We work to serve (because working to lead will attract more responsibilities for you)

7. We work to lead (so that everyone else is left behind? Hehehe. No, so that everyone else is at the end of your butt)

8. We work to avoid boredom (simply because doing nothing at home is so sickening)

9. We work to seek for a life partner (unfortunately because all the dates and flirts failed!)

10. We work to solve (because solving and trouble shooting problems is what we are good at)

11. We work to be a fugitive (because at home there's always somebody blaming you for everything)

12. We work for challenge (since life is so dull without something thrilling each day)

13. We work for pleasure (since we never look seriously at our responsibilities at work)

14. We work to get sick (so that one day we can claim something from SOCSO)

15. We work to die (so that the Life Insurance we had can be used by our spouse and children)

16. We work for freedom (so that we can repay the Ah Long who lent their money to us)

17. We work for style (so that people can closely guess how much debt you have just by looking at your clothes, cars and gadgets)

18. We work for health (because the work we do moved every inch of muscles that we have daily)

19. We work for charity (because the happiness of others is more important that ours)

20. We work for Allah...because it is an Ibadah if it was done truthfully and honestly with the hope of getting Blessed by Him with every step that we make to work and from work

Whatever the reason for you to work is/are, they all share a common things i.e. it all depends on your heart, mind and soul. Paint it with the colours of the rainbow and it will be colourful. Paint it white and it will be seen clean and fresh. Paint it black and it becomes dark and lifeless.

Chopping Tires

One day in the past at work...

"Eh Hairil, have you chopped those tires? I need to sent them to the Finishing Area"

"OK, I'll chop those 15 pieces by noon. You can send them out after lunch"

If I have gone nuts that day, by noon the man who wanted me to chop those tires would have more than 15 pcs of tire. He would get 15 tires in 60 pieces instead since I have literally chopped a.k.a Cut those tires 4 equal sections each.

That day, I what really happened was that I replied the uncle's SMS with this...

"OK, I'll stamp those 15 pieces by noon. You can send them out after lunch"

Hey, that commercial for "Oh My English" at Astro TVIQ did happen in real life unfortunately :)

Point is...it is hard to find that Point in whatever situation we might be because everyone or every party has their own interests, objectives and even limitations/boundaries that needs to be blended together with those of others. Only after that we can have that Point of Intesection, Meeting and Equilibrium.
