We are very excited to present the debut UK show from Brooklyn’s’ superb Chromatics. After five years, two albums and five singles the Chromatics sound and vision has finally come together as one. With their mesmerising single “In The City” and their faultless album “Shining Violence” for Italians Do It Better the band have catapulted themselves into the record collections of trendsetters in both the music and fashion scenes! Also from New York we are pleased to welcome Mike Simonetti head honcho of Troubleman and Italians Do It Better Records. Since their inception both labels have become two of the most talked about independent labels with releases from artists such as Glass Candy, Black Dice, Devendra Banhart, Wolf Eyes and of course Chromatics.

To bring a European twist to this very special event in Room 1 we have Karlsruhes’ finest export, Ame. Over the past five years Kristian Raedle and Frank Wiedemann have shaped house music worldwide with their superb productions and remixes. With fans such as Danny Tenaglia, Laurent Garnier, Francois K and Carl Craig they continue to push the boundaries of house music with their unique sound.

Finally we welcome Studio who’s West Coast LP was voted one of the top ten albums of 2007 by Rough Trade. Their productions have wowed critics and fellow artists worldwide and led to remix work for both A Mountain of One and Kylie!

Warm return to the Big Chill House for their bi-monthly residency on Saturday March 1st. This month they welcome a very special guest from Frankfurt in Gerd Janson from Running Back Records to launch the second instalment of his superb “Computer Incarnations for World Peace” compilation on Sonar Kollektiv.

Following the success of the previous instalment of the series which focussed on the early 80s, this second episode shows the recent evolution of disco music, with thirteen tracks from artists and producers, who have injected some new blood into the veins of a genre that deserted the dance floors in the 90s. The compilation also features a rare, treasured and a handful of unreleased tracks that you’ll never find anywhere else, featuring tracks from artists at the origin of the recent disco renewal such as Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, Lexx, Ray Mang, Mudd, Chateau Flight, Frontera and Rollmottle.
