Facebook and Twitter the new Office tool

A couple of years back when I started using the computer I remember playing Tetris from a floppy disk.

Today after 15 years technology has change so much that everything gets smaller and yet bigger in capacity.

Social Media is now the new world. Facebook and Twitter is my favorite two social sites.

Facebook I use to connect with friends and with new acquaintances. I find myself mainly being a psychologist on facebook.

Reading and analyzing status updates. :-0

Twitter is very good tool to interact with the world outside. I mainly use it to interact with a stream of people I follow and I use an

Application called Tweetdeck to have the lastest searches on various keywords that I might want information from.

This has been a great help in my work place. Acquiring information easily without having to go search the web.

Search for Love.... Wait for it...Or have you lost it??

Everyone has come to this part of there lives called the Grey area.

Reason why i decided to write about this is to see if there is people out there that might have the same views as me or those who will disagree.

Just once in your life.. Go stand in the center of your universe and watch and listen to your friends and their relationships or even random people... How many of them is truelove happy.. How long have they been in a relationship.

I have been in a few relationship. It was amazing while being in them. But after!! The breakups ... the decision to let go. What do you do? Do you cry? Do you move on? Do you want the person back cos you feel empty and being with that person makes you feel better? And for how long? Are you honest with yourself? Can you still be friends? the scenario changes.. Your world changes.. People you see changes..

How many people believe in true love? or even love at first sight?
The question i always get is.. How do i know when i meet the right person? :-) the question alone is something to think about.. But the answer is simple.. You will know.. Or at least you will feel it.
But don't get confused. because feelings can make you think differently.. or sometimes they say..
LOVE is blind.. lol.. and yes its true.. feelings can make you blind.. Makes you mind believe that somethings is perfect.. but when the feelings disappear..... Things start to change.. But LOVE on the other hand is constant, amazing, beautiful and you will see it when you look it right in the eye.

Then again... I have to say. That relationship isn't always "Love at first sight" .. Sometimes you are compatible "FRIENDS".. You enjoy each others company.. Although some people will agree that they do have feelings for someone.. They still don't have that "LOVE" for them.. That's normally when the one person feels he wants to commit.. but the other still not sure.. and that causes friction.. Lets go to the science class.. Friction is.. "Conflict, as between persons having dissimilar ideas or interests or clash"

Now when someone need an companion..They always ask.. When will i find the right person?.. Or where will i find the right person..?

Talking is a start. Go out with friends. Meet more friends.. you need to get the ball rolling..

THen i follow the words of wisdom.. and this i do believe..
Love isn't meant to be falling for anyone.
Patience pays off, waiting will be rewarded.
Wait til your soul says 'This is the One',
Then you'll be sure that,Although you might get hurt, pain you can endure,
Because you know that you are meant to be.
And you'll wait however long is necessary,
for the one you love to realise that.

But everyone has different views and some would say.. That is old school.. Waiting isn't fun.
And people would probably think .. Warren why would you type such a long note..

I would like to add.. to those that have been in relationship and struggling to get over it.
"Such is life" -- whether you have been wrong or your partner have been wrong or just an agreement to part... Remember this.. life does not stop. Yes its not fun to break up. It does hurt, Cry as much as you want... I bet you asking yourself "where did it go wrong?" ... sometimes i think for you to go down and cry and feel down and out and thinking that life is so unfair.. why me? why today? why this ? why that..? is so selfish.. thinking nobody cares.. while there are people reaching out who really cares!!

sometimes your mind just take over and do with you what it likes.. and we just allow it.

So why do people decide to part?
There is probably a lot of reasons. But most common is TRUST..
being in a relationship with no TRUST can be great when you with the person.. But when you not?
CHEATING is another one..and then people moving away from each other.. Long distance..
and non compatible partners.. Friction..

But love crosses boundaries. And who can stop love?

What is LOVE? have you ever tried to google it?
Yet they say that even the great philosophers, with their profound definitions, could not fully touch its true essence.

So i would assume and say that love has a different meaning to each person.

But in reality relationship is either PERFECT..or not so perfect or BAD..

Now where do you draw the line in relationships. Where have you lost it?
And what is the reason's you still holding on to them?

Relationships is about sharing things and yes you will share things that are just between you and that person. But does that have to keep you holding on if things don't work out?

i still have a subject to talk about but ill leave that for another note.. it handles about a relationship and why people still stay in BAD relationships.. Stay tuned for a next note..

i want to say that LOVE is real. Its out there.. be patient..
But most importantly...

Be true to yourself! :-)

Applications to access Twitter from your phone

The Twitter bug has started to spread in South Africa.
Most people have said the following:

"Why would i want to know what you are doing?"

.
All of them are now following and updating and asking what applications to use to access Twitter on their mobile phones. Twitter Addicts!!

Firstly you need to signup a Twitter account to be able to use the Mobile Applications.I am currently only using 2 applications called jitter and jtwitter.
Another way is to use Twitter mobile.Just enter the following address in your Mobile phone

There are so many more other applications to use.Here is a list of twenty Mobile Applications you can use.

Not all Applications will work on your mobile phone. Try them out and find the one that works for you.

My introduction to Twitter

I got introduced to Twitter by Rafiq Phillips.

I registered on Twitter out of curiosity. At first i couldn't really get it. But the more people i followed the more information i received and after a while, using twitter became clear to me. Follow my tweets here.

Using Twitter I am always up to date with the Latest news. Currently i am following iol and BBC News to give me the latest updates in South Africa and around the World.

I enjoyed using the IM to track certain words in Twitter. It displays any update of anyone around the world that updates in Twitter using the word you are tracking.
Usually i track the word "coffee" when i explain the Twitter Tracking option to someone totally new to Twitter.

Using Twitter exposed me to new Sites and tools e.g del.icio.us , digg , muti , flickr , amatomu , helipad , kwippy , facebook.

The list can go on forever......

Twitter brought me to Plurk which is another micro-blogging platform.

I will always use twitter to greet everyone in the morning and to receive the latest news and information updated randomly by the "Friends" i follow.

Warning for Cell C and Vodacom

PLURK the new Micro-blogging Platform

I have been using Twitter the past 2months. and with the Twitter IM updates being down the last 2weeks PLURK has stirred the social scene.

I am using PLURK for a few days now. I do think that the more people you follow will make it unreadable on the calendar, Gantt-like chart. We will see how things develop over the next couple of weeks but Plurk looks amazing.

I am sure it will not replace Twitter. This is how the Plurks Calendar looks like.

Newton Soccer lacks discipline

Saturday 1 June 2008, 4PM.

The battle started when Paarl and Newton took to field in the league match.
Both teams looked determined to win the game. The game started after referee Wilmore Nyman was approached to take charge of the game.

Newton looked like the stronger team from the start. playing good soccer and having most of the ball possession.

Only problem started when Newton's discipline decreased during the game and started to take it personal and some heated moments caused the referee to take out the Cards and force discipline.

2 of the Red Cards was issued because the players swear at opponents.

we all know the rules..
According to FiFA rules in chapter 116 LAW 12 -Fouls and misconduct
- Cautions for unsporting behavior
- Acts in a manner which shows a lack of respect for the Game.
- Verbally distracts an opponent during play or at restart

A lot of fouls were committed during the game. Made the Game distasteful for the rest of the spectators. One of the Newton Supporters threw a bottle at the referee after issuing the 2nd red card.

Newton manager was very disappointed in his team's behavior. We hope they can go back to the drawing board and work on there there tempers and discipline.

Paarl Won the Game 2-1 After 3 of Newton's Players were sent of. Newton had the Game in their hands but threw it away with bad discipline.

Manchester league winners 2007/2008

Manchester United Went into this game against Wigan knowing that it would be the make or break game.. Giving them the title or see Chelsea snatch the Champions league Title from the underneath them.

Manchester only needed to win. And Chelsea had to win with goal difference to beat Manchester.

Chelsea couldn't beat bolton. Bolton Scored an equaliser in the 89th minute. Manchester by that time already celebrated with 2 goals against Wigan.

Christiano Renaldo scored the first goal after receiving a penalty. And Ryan Giggs Scored the 2nd goal.

Now its off the Russia to play Chelsea in Moscow for the EUFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TITLE.

The City of Love

Bonjour,

This was for me the most memorable experience i ever had and my first destination out of South Africa.
I went to Paris and chasseneuil on a business trip. I was schedule for 2 day training on Teamtrack and had to attend 2day meetings in Boulogne, Paris.

It was an experience to be able to meet the people you are in contact everyday via email and messenger.

Paris was beautiful. It was very cold but it didn't stop me from exploring. I was determined to see as much as i could in the 6hours i was in Paris. I was on metro and Busses. Moving around very quickly.

First i went to the Tower (La tour Eiffel) and i went to see the Arc du triomph walk down Champs Ellesey road down to the Concorde past the Louvre and walked to the Invalides.

I was extremely tired after that. I decided to walk allthough it took me longer.. but it was just to beautiful to miss.

Paris xxxx wish i could do it all over again. :-)
