Unbeaten American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. once again fired off a series of tweets, this time singling out Top Rank chief executive officer Bob Arum, the promoter of his rival, Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

In his first tweet, Mayweather (42-0) reiterated that he is "ready to fight Pacquiao 5/5/12."

"Bob Arum know the date can't change, I have my guarantee," he added.

Mayweather's adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, announced last year that the fighter has blocked off May 5 as the date for his ring return. This was in jeopardy for a while as Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in jail following a domestic violence charge, but his jail time was put off so he can fulfill his fight obligations.

The unbeaten boxer then instructed Arum to "call (Richard) Schaefer and Al (Haymon) and stop lying to the public."

Schaefer is the chief executive officer of Golden Boy Promotions, while Haymon is one of Mayweather's advisers. Golden Boy has promoted all of Mayweather's fights following his May 2007 victory over Oscar de la Hoya.

Mayweather's instructions are seemingly in response to Arum's recent statements, wherein the Top Rank boss said he is "unsure" if Schaefer and Golden Boy will even be involved in the negotiations.

"Unlike Top Rank, that has a contract with Manny, we are involved. I don't know if Schaefer is involved," he said in a recent Boxing Scene interview.

Arum then said that he will only sit down and negotiate with an authorized representative from Team Mayweather, but that everything was ready in the Pacquiao camp.

"We're all set. Pacquiao and Top Rank are all set. I went to the Philippines and made sure of that," he said.

Juan Manuel Marquez insisted that he won his first 2 fights against Manny Pacquiao. Marquez made the statement during the Manila leg of their global press tour promoting their Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight in November 12 welterweight title fight.

“I won the first 2 fights… In 2004 and 2008,” he asserted.

This was his reply when asked if his career would be complete even without a win against Pacquiao. He, however, admitted being grateful to be given the chance to square off with the fighting congressman again.

“I feel very happy for the opportunity… I expect the best Manny Pacquiao for this fight,” said Marquez.

The two boxers will be fighting it out for the 3rd time at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2004, Pacquiao scored 3 first round knockdowns against Marquez. The Mexican, however, was able to salvage a draw. Four years later, the Filipino champion edged the Mexican with a split decision.

The November 12 fight will take place at a 144-pound catchweight, 13 pounds higher than the 130-pound division they last fought in. Marquez is confident that he can handle the added weight on his frame, despite losing a 144-pound catchweight fight to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2009. He claimed that he lost to Mayweather because the latter ran and ran during their bout.

If the knockout comes it would be excited about it. It’s the kind of fight that’s better than Shane Mosley and Pacquiao. Like Manny, Mayweather moves fast and has great foot speed and power also.

That’s what I want on this Mayweather vs Ortiz contest... a war! Victor Ortiz throws a lot of punches and that’s good for us to give the fans a good fight. Ortiz should pressure Mayweather a lot and promised that he won’t back down and make that fight a war that the fans will never forget. Both fighters are amazing. I really admire Ortiz courage to put his belt on the line just to prove something that Mayweather is just only a human being and can be defeated. Not only has Victor Ortiz got the tools he as youth on his side and Mayweather is now 34 years old and we still don't know the condition Mayweather is in because it's almost a year since he didn't fight.

It only shows that Victor Ortiz will not go down without a fight and if ever he will beat Floyd Mayweather and win their fight. As we all know that Victor Ortiz must fight beyond the level of Floyd Mayweather Jr. to win the Mayweather vs Ortiz contest. Ortiz, 24, says he’s going to take the fight to Mayweather and try to turn it into a war. This no doubt has been attempted before, albeit with weaker and smaller fighters than Ortiz. Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao was chosen by Ring Magazine as its top boxer among the "100 best fighters in the world" for 2010.

The 100 list, compiled by Ring Magazine's William Dettloff, included 2010 boxing achievers like Sergio Martinez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, and Fernando Montiel.

"As most of us expected, Pacquiao made mincemeat out of Antonio Margarito, who not so long ago everyone was calling the most feared fighter in the world," Dettloff said in his blog.

Pacquiao was earlier chosen by fight fans as Ring Magazine’s “2010 Fighter of the Year”.

Ring Magazine is considered as the “bible of boxing."

"Along with everyone else we would have preferred the year ended with a superfight against the next guy on this list, but you can’t have everything," Dettloff said.

The "next guy" he's referring to is No. 2 ranked Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao’s next fight is against former welterweight champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley, who is ranked No. 17 on the list.

"The Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire Jr. also made it into the respectable list. He is just a notch below Marquez at No. 5.

"Donaire obliterated Wladimir Sidorenko (KO 4) on December 4, his third fight of 2010 -- quite busy indeed for a top pound-for-pounder these days," said Dettloff.
