Hilda,

Leadership can be a very lonely place. Those that don't understand that probably have not be in leadership. Smart leaders debate their challenges with strategic appreciative questions of themselves and others.

Thanks Greg for this timely reminder. So many of us in leadership positions carry the weight of worry and we can easily let that overpower our messaging and our care of others.

Interesting comment, Scott. Just last week I was getting ready to travel cross country, and was imagining a variety of things that could go wrong, working up my anxiety. Suddenly I thought, "What if everything goes really well? What if things go smoothly, business goes well, and I have fun?" And you know what? It did! I always remember Greg saying that nothing was ever fixed by worrying.

Greg,
That's a great topic because one of the turning points for me in life was learning this. I call it the "what if" wheel and it turns in two directions. Sort of like "What if I picked up just ten new clients this month in a city of 1.5 million people?" The odds are empowering when the questions are phrased properly.

Greg,
You need to share with Chip the W.I.N. -- What's Important Now! He has the "Win the Day" - but it is from the past and he could use the W.I.N. analogy too! Go Ducks...
