			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thelma C. Kirby, 82 of Satsuma, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Putnam Community Medical Center.  Mrs. Kirby was born on Seat Pleasant, MD on May 27, 1929 to the Late Leroy and Thlema (O&#8217;Brien) Elgin.  She was a 38 year volunteer for the Riverside Fire Department which included the postion of president.  She was also a Red Cross Volunteer while her late husband was stationed in Germany.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Kirby; brother, George E. Elgin; sister, Delores Pendleton, and grandson, Joel S. Kirby.  She leaves behind to keep her memory alive two sons, Gilbert L. Kirby and wife, Debra C., of Satsuma, Fl., Mel Kirby and wife, Dawn of Salem, Va.; daughter, Belinda Steybe of Satsuma, Fl.; grandchildren, Ramon W. , and Tristan D. Steybe, Candace L., Danielle H.,<br />
Melanie A., and Maura Rusinko Kirby; Brian Peters, Daniel S. Grossholz and three great grandchildren.  The Family has entrusted Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center for the arraigments. Family will gather will friends to celebrate<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Frederick Woodrow Gilkey, 73 passed away peacefully at his home inEast Palatka,FloridaonWednesday, May 2, 2012 surrounded by his family.  Fred was born onOctober 10, 1938to the Late Woodrow W.and Irene Kokus Gilkey in Pittsburgh,Pa.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force serving eight years both stateside and inMoroccoas a jetAircraft mechanic.  In civilian life he worked at Kenametal in Latrobe, Pa.  Fred settled inEast Palatka, Fl., 35 years ago and was employed by Huntley Brothers Hardware in Palatka, Fl. He then worked for Northrop Grumman Corp. inSt. Augustine,FL, from where he retired in 2002. He was a Master Mason of  Hastings Lodge 183 Free and Accepted Masons. Fred was also a Noble of theMoroccoShrineTempleand a member of the Putnam CountyShrineClub inEast Palatka.  Besides his father he is preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Robert Gilkey, daughter, Roxanne Gilkey and grandson, Tregg Wenterling.  Fred is survived by his devoted wife of 8 years, Wanda who he called “the best thing that ever happened to me,” two sons, John Gilkey ofPa., Frederick Gilkey ofChattanoogna,TN;  three daughters, Rhonda Walters ofMadison,ME., Dawn Yellets ofBlairsville,Pa., Lisa Hickey ofMurraysville,Pa.; his mother, Irene Gilkey ofNorth Huntington,PA; brothers, Dennis Gilkey ofCreekside,Pa., Randall Gilkey of Stockbridge,Ga., David Gilkey ofSt. Augustine, Fl., Scott Gilkey of Natalia, Tx.; sisters, Carole Wallace of Youngwood,Pa., and Rebecca Kinney of Palatka,FL; his loving step family and twelve grandchildren.  Tribute of Memories Service was held Monday,  May 7, 2012,7:00 PMat Watts Funeral Home and CremationCenter,San Mateo, with Rev. March 16, 2012 at Putnam Community Medical Center.<br />
Helen was born in Fernandina, Fl., on Aug. 29, 1950<br />
to the late Albert M. and Leona Spaulding.  Helen<br />
was affectionately known as the &#8220;ice cream lady.&#8221;<br />
She loved playing bingo and skip-bo.  She is preceded<br />
in death by her husband, James (Big Pee Wee) Jacobs,<br />
granddaughter, Jamie Jacobs, brothers, Harry Spaulding,<br />
Lonnie (Bo) Spaulding.  Survivors are her sons,<br />
James E. (Little Pee Wee) Jacobs, Jr., and wife Angela<br />
of Satsuma, Fl., Albert Jacobs and wife, Nancy of San Mateo, Fl.,<br />
Jimmy  (Jim Bo) Jacobs of Council Bluff, Iowa; brother, Frank Spaulding<br />

<p>Rick was preceded in death by his Father, John Cullen and brother, Terry Cullen.  He is survived by his wife, Sue Cullen; mother, Dolores Weibel and step father James Hanson of Pequot Lakes, MN.; daughter, Christy M. Cullen of Mims, Fl.; sister, Connie Buckmeier and husband, Vern of<br />
Apple Valley, MN.; brother, James Cullen and wife, Barb of Carver, MN.; step children,<br />
Jessie Andrews and husband, Dave of Orlando, Fl., William Cody Weber of Port St. John, Fl.;<br />
several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Robert &#8220;Bobby&#8221; Gene McClellan Sr</p>
<p>Born December 28, 1928 at Ellenton, Colquitt County Georgia the son of William Edison McClellan and Lillian Lorraine Ricks.  Preceded in passing by his parents and his brothers Billy and Ray McClellan, sister Jeannie McClellan Wright, daughters Lisa Louise and Amy Leigh McClellan and great Granddaughter Lily McClellan.<br />
 He survived by Carla Marie wife of 35 years and by his sisters, Nona McClellan Wright and husband Jack Wright of San Mateo, and Betty Lou Adams and husband Willie Adams of St Augustine.<br />
His legacy is left by  his children Robin and wife Hattie, Melody and husband Greg, Jeff and wife Nancy, Matthew and wife Jackie, Lynnette and husband Jim Cutrer, Michelle and husband Chris Cutrer. 26 Grand children, and 21 great grandchildren. Also his special international exchange daughters Marjon of Holland, Yukiko (Mickie) of Japan, and Babsi ( Barbara) of Germany.</p>
<p>He was proud to serve his country in the US Army during WW II. His was stationed in Japan.  He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, his service included, Palatka 1st Ward Bishop, full time missionary with Carla in California, and a Temple worker at the Orlando Florida Temple among many other callings and service. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific formally Hudson Pulp and Paper for 42 years.</p>
<p>He served the Putnam County Recreation department as a little league baseball coach for 7 years.  He loved Golf, hunting, and baseball in his youth and was accomplished athlete in all of them.</p>
<p>His testimony of Jesus Christ and His example gave him the desire to dedicate his life to family, service to others, and loving everyone.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Nature Coast.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kenneth E. Shaw, 78 of Satsuma, Florida passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012<br />
at Putnam Community Medical Center.  He was born In Anderson, South Carolina<br />
on October 6, 1933 to the Late Prue and Christine Taylor Shaw.  Kenneth was a Veteran of<br />
the United States Navy.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Faye Shaw; daughter,<br />
Janice Behnstedt and husband, John of Pompano Beach, Fl.; son. Charles Kenneth Shaw and wife,<br />
Kathie Dean of Dawsonville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Burgess of Palatka, Fl.,<br />
Michael Harrell of West Palm Beach, Fl., Kendra Shaw and husband, John Wilson of Dawsonville, Ga.;<br />
three great grandchildren, Lynn Marie Proulx and Amber Burgess of Palatka, Fl., John Wilson Jr.,<br />
of Dawsonville, Ga.; one great great granddaughter, MaKenzey Lynn Thomas; extended family,<br />
