Call it coincidence or synchronicity, but it is still amazing to see when everything lines up at just the right time for what is best for us. I have always believed that whatever happens, happens for a good reason. I remember being so disappointed after not getting the first house we wanted, only to end up getting a much nicer house in a great neighborhood months later. It has happened with jobs too – a disappointment turned into something even better than we had imagined and led to some wonderful accomplishments. I can think of many, many other examples of when this has happened. Everything we go through gives us experience and these experiences make us into the person we are today. My daily inspired thoughts.

"Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. A good friend emailed me tonight and reminded me of a movie I had seen years ago - Signs. They had just been watching it again and she remembered how hard I laughed at the scene where they are sitting on the couch with aluminum foil hats on to keep the aliens from reading their minds. Not sure why it struck me as so funny then and again as I remember it (I kept laughing anytime I thought of it all through the movie!) A good laugh always helps put things into perspective and not take life so seriously. It’s meant to be enjoyed and all these silly moments sprinkled into the serious times can sure help. My daily inspired thoughts.

The Story Behind Us…

The Story Behind Us…

I was watching only about 5 minutes of a DVD, Warrior Yoga by James D’Silva, today. It was a section about meditating and as I was listening I started doing what he was saying. I have never really formally mediated before; I have sat in silence and reflected, but never focused so intently on just my breathing. It was amazing to me that in just a few minutes I felt energized and refreshed. I am excited to go through a longer program and see how much more it can do. I am grateful for this introduction to meditation that may open up a whole new way to renew my body, mind and spirit. My daily inspired thoughts.

"The more I reveal the more of the person I want to be, the more I realize how I arrived here was a..."

“The more I reveal the more of the person I want to be, the more I realize how I arrived here was a series of events, planned and unplanned. Another beautiful day here in New England! Just the right summer temperature with low humidity. Nature’s little gift. Little things like this sure do lift my spirits and put me in a good mood. I need to notice more of the small things that just make life pleasant. There are many of them all around us that sometimes we take for granted or we are just too busy being busy to notice. I suppose this is a good way to end the day – grateful for all the small things that add up to something significant.
