Patience is a virtue… Whenever people say that to me I never even take a second of my time, to think about it. But now that I have taken a moment… it makes no sense to me. And I try to look for some answers about exactly what a virtue is and it still is fuzzy, even on the internet. There has to be a simpler way to define patience than just saying that is a virtue. Simply put, in the dictionary, a virtue is defined as being good. So to be good you have to be good at waiting? Man sometimes waiting blows!
There is more than one kind of patience. Being patient isn’t just about anticipating an upcoming vacation or waiting for the big birthday to come up (I still got about 8 months) Hah, jokes! The type of patience that makes you the best is patience through your trials and tribulations. There is room for patience in every person’s life, no matter what. That means, not every day is going to be a fairytale where a prince and princess gets married and everyone runs around giving each other foot massages. Let’s get real!
Whenever a bad day hits you can let it knock you down or you can stand and fight. By being patient you can accomplish this. Waiting through those days, having an undying faith in Christ, will get you through. You can fight back at life. And I promise if you stand on that firm foundation of Christ, you will survive to see the good days. And you won’t want to be so down to miss those days. Life can be a joy if you let it! As Miss Miley Cyrus would have us know: “It’s The Climb!”
What a great message that this teen Pop star has let us all know the journey will be tough, but you can make it. I have faith in you.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WayToBe/~3/RHOx-nFzG_I/patience-is-virtue.html" title="Patience is a Virtue? Anger.

That feeling that leaves you in despair. You just have to fight back and let everyone know what you are feeling. Like the inferno, you explode all of your burning coals and melt everyone to the ground. Anger.

But the deal is, you don’t have to let your inferno explode. There is nothing controlling you to “Make You” angry. Its just that nagging feeling of: if I don’t explode right now then I will die. That is a lie. Just give it time, it will cool off. You don’t have to let it show. Keep it inside. Have an intervention with your feelings. What will be the dominant emotion for you?

If Its Anger… keep me the HECK away from you. I want to be in a world full of happy nice people that don’t get mad when something goes a wrong. Find it within your soul to make happiness the dominant feeling. ..


Fighting :(

I probably should have broke up the fight, but i was stunned. It ended when a Wal-Mart employee broke them up.
If you had saw their anger and their malice towards eachother, you probably would have laughed. When fights are depicted in movies, they are mostly seen as glorious and "awesome". I saw these two teenage kids, display gloryless cat fighting. I just saw two little children fighting on a playground. That is what it felt like.
Unless you are doing it for a sport, dont fight. I couldnt think of a more imature and babyish way to settle a disagreement. Just dont do it, you'll end up looking foolish.

Make Schoool FUN...

School is beating me to the ground! Not literally but school does lead me to something I was thinking about…
School is such an important part of our lives. Decisions you are making right now in school, will influence the outcome of your life. The former prophet of my church, President Hinckley said something to the effect of, “the world will pay you for what you’re worth.”
This does not literally mean that we all have a price tag attached to us. It simply means, the amount of knowledge we contain is how the world will treat us. I am mostly speaking to the youth, but to anyone who is no longer a student, it applies. Learning does not stop when classrooms stop.
Never settle for the knowledge you already have. Seek to always learn new things. No matter where you are, or what you are doing, there are opportunities to learn more invaluable things. Don’t allow yourself to set limits on your education. There are no limits on how far you can go. Just push yourself to gain an abiding love for learning, and blessings will be thrust upon you.

Time MGMT

Wasting your time can mess you up just as bad as any transgression that can tamper up your life. Although I would not call wasting time a sin, it will affect you in your future.
Time management is hard…Video games, facebook, texting, TV… there is so much that we think we need to do, but what will these really accomplish for you? These all provide convenient ways of fun and communication. Come to reality though, when we are spending countless hours of our lives solely focused on time wasters, we are in some trouble.
A couple of weeks ago, I thought that I was above time management. I felt that I could do all of the time wasters and still pull of getting my homework done, helping around the house, and all the productive things of my life. I was wrong! I was watching TV shows while doing my homework. I was playing Computer games while I was doing my chores. One day I watched 8 hours straight of Smallville. As I think back on it now, I was out of my mind. All of these things seemed to be no big deal at the time. I was apparently out of my mind. And as of now, it is the last week of the term and my grades are down from what they are supposed to be.
Listen! Nothing deserves 8 hours of your time unless it is hard work. In fact nothing deserves even an hour of your time. Your whole life will see great results if you invest your time into something productive. Time management will eventually decide your potential in this world.

The Universal Self Esteem...

The world's philosophy for you: you’re not good enough--you need to change everything about you--you're not nor will ever be good enough. This speaks the truth; the world wants you to expend all your efforts into getting “better.” The reality is they rip you of your self-respect.
You have too much to live for to let anyone bring you down. It is a wonderful life. You have an eternal plan in store. This plan was made for just you, the individual. The world will not stand by you. God created all to love each and everyone one of his children. Don’t succumb to the world's enticing, it will be the downfall of your esteem. You will never be good enough for them. God will always love, no matter what goes wrong. Trust in him. For this is the reason that you are special--God made you that way.

Put Christ back into your Christmas

All of the hype of the season blinds us to what Christmas really is. Through hunting down the perfect present, and the decorating of our houses to get recognized as having the most holiday cheer, and finally all the bills for the carefully prepared food. All this hustle and bustle to have a seemingly “perfect Christmas” is making us forget the reason for the season.
Christ is the true provider of the Christmas spirit. It was on that starry night in Bethlehem that this holiday was born. An ideal Christmas is centered on Christ. It is important that we remember him for the giver that he was. Not only to remember, but to act on this memory. Giving is an essential part to a Merry Christmas. That is what the true meaning of Christmas is. Slow down and think of our Lord Jesus Christ.
