But hopefully, like our WD Creative Masters, you’re backing up your hard drive to WD storage.

When you’re on the go, one product that’s essential is My Passport Elite. Just named an “Object of Desire” by Photo District News, My Passport Elite is perfect for saving music, videos and photos. It offers features like a new USB “grab and go” dock and illuminated capacity gauge that shows when its storage capacity (up to 640 GB available) is almost full.

After you check out My Passport Elite, get a little photo inspiration by taking a look at the award-winning images of our WD Creative Masters and see what WD technology they use to protect them.

Our WD Team is always looking for new products that work perfectly with WD technology. At Macworld Expo 2010, we weren’t disappointed. As always, there was something new, fun and impressively flashy for just about everyone. Especially for those who need technology to make their creativity, well, more creative.

One release that does just that is the latest version of Apple Aperture. The buzz about Aperture is that it rivals Lightroom, and possibly even Photoshop, by delivering major new features. Those features include edge-aware retouching brushes, dozens of new adjustment presets, advanced slideshows and much more. To get a better picture (no pun intended) of how Aperture fits into the mix, listen to this interview fresh from Macworld of photographers Mikkel Aaland and Colin Finlay. As you may know, Colin is one of our WD Creative Masters whose WD trusted storage line-up includes My ShareSpace NAS drives and My Passport.

About the “Aperture rivaling Photoshop” comment. We’re not taking sides. But, see how one photographer in the field used Aperture and his Western Digital external disk to pull off two tricky photo assignments. It’s a good read. http://ow.ly/1arU6

Western Digital is proud to host Colin Finley, one of the most preeminent documentary photographers in the world, on our LinkedIn’s Western Digital Storage Group on Thurs., Feb. 4th from 10 a.m.-12 noon (PT).

This six-time winner of Pictures of the Year International honors will join the discussion prior to leaving for Haiti on a humanitarian effort with the International Medical Corps as a photojournalist. His upcoming trip marks the sixth time he has visited Haiti since 1991 where he witnessed political upheaval, a mumps epidemic killing scores of children, and now the devastation from the recent earthquake.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain insights from the artist himself about his career, travels and experiences in Haiti and beyond.

Beta doesn’t always mean smooth sailing. Although it seems to describe the possibilities and “what if’s” that might happen during a new launch, it still doesn’t seem to hit the nail on the head. New projects can sometimes have a mind of their own and the unforeseeable technical difficulties that we prepare for can be the wrong ones.

We know that you were just as eager to use our new forum as we were to make it available which is why we feel we owe you a little thank you for being such troopers and hanging in while we worked out all the kinks.

As our way to say thank you for hanging in there we would like to give you an online discount code to use during your shopping this weekend! To receive this code just tweet: “@WDTVLive I’m a PUG!” and we will direct message you with this exclusive coupon code good until December 31, 2009.

And now… (drum roll please) we would like to officially announce the launch of our forum! We also were able steal a few minutes with our technical expert, Nik Tran, to talk about the forum- Check out what he had to say! So, enjoy PUG’s and let the questions begin.

-	Your apologetic WD TV Team
