Life has been busy..but I will give this a another shot..Since collecting has been slow to nothing..I will talk about gaming stuff..What games am i am playing at the moment?? Well it is all over the place at the moment..I have about a 5 game backlog that I would like to get thru before buying anymore games..Yeah not going to happen, and i know that lol. As of right now i am playing brawl brothers on snes..Man this game kinda sucks lol. I am planning to play games i have bought awhile back and just start to play them to see if i can beat them. Well i have done that for some other games that i have started up. Also I am playing to to get thru singularity..I have heard alot of good thing on this game..Happen to get this game under 10 dollars so i decided to give it a try. It is like a poor man version of bioshock of sorts?? So far..MEH!!! Average first person game so far. But to be fair i only played this game for a couple of house like 3-4..So i will try to play thru more of it to see if i can enjoy it. Well that is today post for now, later guys!!

The Slow Down? Round Trip Round UP! #2

Yep it has been slow, game collecting that is..Not too much to blog about..Here is my current stuff that I happen to pick up recently..Yes I do collect for many systems not just nintendo lol. Final Fantasy XIII, final fantasy chronicles and Batman Arkham City. I got all 3 of these for under 30 bucks not too bad if i say so myself!!

Well I happen to work out a trade, and this is what I got 9 more nes games, gettting me closer to the 200 goal I had at the beginning of the year. Which was 200 nes carts before this year is over!! The year is getting closer to end, so i gotta keep on finding good deals on nes games. With these 9 new games added to my colllection, that makes 182 out of 677 carts. Not too bad!! Hope to keep this going and I wil try to update this blog as much as I can!! Now picture time lol!

More Nintendo Nes Carts!!

Here we go, at the moment I am on a roll on my nes collection trying to reach that 200 number before the end of year, so in the mail I got some games, cleaned them and tested each one, all games work and are ready to be put in my gameroom..Here are 2 pictures of the games that I got, nothing rare at the moment really common games, but games I did have in my collection. For some odd reason that 2nd pic is the turned another way?? Just twist your neck..or you monitor, up to you!! And you are asking, hey man how many games you got right now..Well with this lot of games at the moment I have 173 out of 677..Getting closer to that 200 mark..I can see it now, the rain is gone, ooops lol going too far lol. Anyways on to my next post and my next stash of games..Till next time, I be hunting for games!!

Round Trip Round UP! #1

Well I have not blogged in a bit, so here is something I also want to do..Round Trip Round UP! This is stuff that I buy from local retro stores..Similar to the Flea Market Roundup, but just stores!! So with that said, I paid about 30 dollars for everything!!

And I happen to got my first 2 nes reproductions which i am so excited about, I am really happy how these came out!! Plan to order some more in the future!!! Super Mario 2 japan and zelda outlands!!
Super mario 2 japan was never released version of super mario 2, and zelda outlands is a remake of sorts of the first zelda!

With that being said..added some more games to my collection, so that makes 152 out 677..Ok let's keep going, plan to go to the flea market this weekend to pick up some more goodies and keep getting closer to that goal of mine..To get all 677 carts!!!

Well went to the flea market and did not find much, but it is better than nothing, Found me 2 more nes games that I did not have in my collection So that makes 142 games!! Plan to start a little series of mine, where I will post all the stuff that I find at different flea markets and such!! So today's post will be Flea Market Loot#1. Ok not too bad at my loot. Did not find much but found some more games to add to my collection..So this is what I got..I got this all for about 30 dollars or so. Not too bad.. Least I found something. Sometimes I do not find anything at all. What do you guys think??

Ok have not been blogging but really hope to keep this thing updated. Ok on to my list. I happen to come across these 2 nes games at a local movie store. They were about 2 dollars each so, I can do that all day!! So I am very happy that I found some games for a real good price and local as well. Here are the pictures of the games that I got..Golf and Jeopardy 25th anniversary. Common games, but reagrdless I did not have the games in my collection. So let's update the number then. I now have 134..Many more to come!!!

Ok I have been lazy to post some stuff..And just really busy. But here is my next topic

Cleaning your stuff.

If you are like me, then I like to keep all my video game system running and working, especially some of the older stuff. We all know some of the older stuff, sometimes gives us trouble when all we want to do is play, not blow into the cartridge. Here is a quick example how to clean the sega genesis slot.

These are the weapons of choice
Thin towel( Prefer mircofiber towel)
Alcohol-Not to drink
A old card, a expired credit card or any card that you are not going to use any more, has to be plastic!

Ok now this is somewhat basic. All you have to do is wrap the towel around the card. You will be putting the card in the sega genesis slot. But before you do that dose it with alcohol where the card will be at.

This is what it will look like. As you can see, the towel I was using was a tad thick. But it sill got the job done! Make sure you put that way..the other way the card won't go in there..it looks like it can but it won't fit. Now all you have to do is, insert the card and keep taking it out. The alcohol will clean those pins, and if your slot is dirty then you will see the towel picking up dirt and what not!

You see mine had some dirt in there! So it does help to do this, if you are having problems playing your sega genesis games and such. Now this will work on all models of the sega genesis. There is 3 models of the sega genesis..so don't be scared this will work on all models. Your sega genesis may like this..

This is a model 2, same thing just smaller and some small changes but the same thing!!

Ok on my next blog I will show you guys how to clean those sega genesis games..This will help and make sure that your games load up the first time you turn it on.

But before i leave..I would like to show you guys something.

You guys are like what the?? My system does not look like that..well that is cause I happen to have mine modded. S-video modded.. What does it do, you say. Well s-video is a better connection to hook up to tv's. Instead of the composite cables, red yellow and white. This s-video mod makes the video look alot better Games color just look more vivid, brighter and richer. If you like your system modded then get in contact of me, and I will find the person who did it for me lol. Cause I do not know how to do this, wished I could! Anyways just want to show it off lol!! In The Beginning

Well this is going to my first post of sorts... First thing i would like to talk about is my nes collection, but first time for a real quick history lesson! For those of you who do not know. Nes stands for Nintendo Entertainment System. This system was released in 1985 in New York first. They were testing the market to see if it sold well.In 1986 the system was released nationwide. That is a quick low down on the nes..Now in 1986, when i saw this system i was. To say the least.. mesmerized. I was about 4 years maybe 5..when i first saw this thing..I did know what to make of it..I was at my cousins house and he was playing this thing..I remember so vividly that when I walked into his room.. the smell of pizza. And the pizza was on one of his tables. Matter of fact it was pizza that had to bake in the oven.. It’s not delivery it's digiorno! Yeah right there was no such thing back in 1986! Back to point, I looked at his tv..and was like what is that..I was looking at the first video game my eyes laid on..I was like whoa!! What is that..my cuzin replied it’s Mario?? He said it like I should have known what it was. Well I had no clue what that was. What’s a Mario? Then he said the name of the game was called Super Mario Bros, this is when my heart pounded..Super Mario Bros..I want it!!

This is what my little eyes saw. Oh yeah that little guy must be Mario. But why was the game called Super Mario Bros.. Well 2 things. Mario has a brother luigi..Ok solved that mystery. Why is the super in there. Well as many you know. Mario could get items in the game that changes him a bit. If he grabbed a mushroom well he got bigger, if he touched a fire flower he would get to throw fireballs, and if he grabbed the star he would be invincible. Yes Mario was truly super! He jumped on goomba and on turtles, nothing was going to get in his way, but what was Mario looking for you may ask. He was looking for the princess of course!

As I got older the passion for video games, much to the dismay of my pops never stopped. My pops said “Son video games are for kids, when you get older you will get bored of them and do other things”. He called it a fad? How dare he say that video games was a fad lol!! Well to be honest he has been right about 99% of the time. But not this time. I never out grew my video games..I enjoyed them and kept on looking for video games to fill my nerd hunger! As time flew by. I kind of lost the love for the older games, newer games came, so I traded the older stuff to get the newer stuff. What a mistake! But hey we learn from our mistakes right! One day I got bored and somehow stumbled across this old video game stuff..it brought back so many memories. Staying up, playing thru the night to beat that game. So I went on the internet and it was not just me..but other people were still playing these old video games!! I happen to tell my older brother and he was kinda joking around told me maybe you should collect them.. Wait a min!!! It clicked in my tiny little brain. Man it would be cool. If I could collect ever nes game released here in the United States. So my hunt went on. To look for a check list of sorts. Well I found a checklist!! Found out there is 677 Nes games. So I thought screw it..i work my tail off so I should enjoy life’s little pleasures! It would be my hobby to collect all nes games. Some people hobby’s are fishing, shopping, comics, well mine is video game collecting! Now I know this is going to be tough! Collecting 677 Nes games, it can be done, and I will do it!! It will take time but that is the fun thing with this. As of 7-2-12 I have 131 Carts! Not too bad but need to collect more lol!! I have been told why you doing this, its kinda retarted..i say to them why not. As a kid I always envisioned me having all the nes games, just waking up one morning and going ok I got every nes game. Which nes game do I want to play!! Well now it is possible!! I am still a kid and will always be a kid. Get used to it!! So this blog will be about my adventures of video game collecting!! Also tips and tricks on how to get the older stuff working, real nerdy DIY stuff!!
