Okay so you had fair warning, just so you know this is going to be massive picture overload. I had such a hard time limiting it to just a few, so here are my top 10 favorites out of 500. Just to set the stage : it was around 27' degrees on this day. I can tell everyone was just a little cold. It was pretty hard to get poor Roxy to smile at the camera. Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas.

It did seem a little strange that we didn't have any snow at all, which is very strange for us during December. In fact we haven't had measurable snow in the valley this year. At least not shoveling snow. The kids seemed pleased with what Santa brought them, as you can see by their faces. I love the Holidays because we get to spend so much time with family. Our family and also extended family. Grandpa and Grandma Jorgensen came and spend a few days at our house. We celebrated Christmas Eve with a nice turkey dinner. We opened a few presents that evening and then headed to bed so Santa could do his work. Christmas morning came very early this year. In fact it's probably the earliest we've been up for Christmas morning is years. We had Church at 6:45 a.m., then we came home and started to opened Santa's presents. Opening presents, cleaning up the mess, and then preparing for our annual Christmas brunch. Thank you to all who came and visited and ate with us. We had a very enjoyable holiday season. Roxy was at such a fun magical age. I'd like to keep her this age forever.

Penny

So.....
Roxy swallowed a penny.
Roxy has X-Rays.
Roxy goes to Primary Children's Hospital.
After an attempt to remove the penny in the Emergency room the Doctors decided to keep her overnight.
In the morning Roxy goes into the Operating Room and she is sedated and the penny is scoped out...
Let's hope and pray that we never have to go through anything like that ever again. Roxy was so incredibly brave. She didn't cry or even make a peep throughout the whole ordeal. She was amazing. She is one tough cookie!

While in St. George we went hiking to an area that has petroglyphs.

It was pretty amazing to think that these wall writings have been there for so long and still look as good as they do. Pretty cool. The kids did a lot of hiking and climbing and enjoyed the nice sunny day in St. George.

Nurse Mary

Once we arrived in California our very first stop was to the hospital where Roxy Roo was born. It was a flood of memories. It was so fun and exciting for the kids to see where she was born. We went inside and asked if any of her original nurses were working that night...and one of the nurses was. Mary met us and remembered Roxy and us. It was pretty neat. The other nurse Julie wasn't working but we left some pictures with Mary so she could show her our family. I think it was great that we were able to show her our whole complete family with Roxy. She could tell how much each of the kids loved her. I am so glad she was there that day. Here are a few pictures of us with Nurse Mary.

Sea World

We absolutely love Sea World. The kids had so much fun seeing all of the sea animals. It was a little chilly, and rained a bit on us at the end of our day. Roxy met the life size Elmo. Let's just say he is much much larger than she imagined. We had a great time watching Sam and Roxy see everything like its all new.
Our family loves Dan Diego.

San Diego Temple

The San Diego Temple is so unique and beautiful in person.

This is Jade's very most favorite Temple. He loved being there and taking pictures. It was such a gorgeous day. It is always so calming and peaceful at the temple. The grounds were beautiful for being November. It was a great start to a fabulous week in California.

September 24th.
Roxy's 2nd Birthday.
Seriously we cannot believe that she is already turning two. She is such a joy and light in our lives. Here is a little bit about Roxy right now at age two:
Roxy Loves to Dance, she is a cute little shadow. Roxy loves to read books and her favorite character is Elmo. She is a climber, and very adventuresome, she is also very strong for her age. She is always happy. She is such a good easy girl. She always has a cute little smile on her face. Roxy is very curious. She still has two naps a day and that is probably why she is such a night-owl. Roxy loves everyone and is always happy to see you. We LOVE YOU ROXY and we are so grateful to have you shine everyday in our lives. Happy Birthday Baby.

Summer ending

The summer is coming to a close.....that make me a little sad. I love having longer hours of daylight, and schedules that are not so busy. I do love Fall and I am looking forward to cooler temperatures and the Fall traditions that we love. Here are a few pictures of our last summer park day picnic.

One last hot dog roast

During the first week in October we were fortu-nate to enjoy one last hot dog roast up American Fork Canyon. Sam enjoyed himself all night long by lighting his stick on fire and drawing with the the charcoal end of the stick. We had yummy food and roasted sticky gooey marshmallows. It was a fun night out for all of us.

Greg and I went to the BYU vs University of Utah game hosted at BYU and we were able to get some great pictures of Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Jimmer meeting each other.
That WAS basically the highlight of our game experiance for that night.
(many of you knew it didn't go well for BYU- don't want to talk about that!)

Sam's Baptism Day

This handsome young man was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on October 8th 2011.
Sam had so many family and friends there supporting him. Dad baptized him and confirmed him a member of the church which was very special to Dad and also to Sam.
The Primary Presidency had each person there write down thought, testimony or something special they wanted Sam to know. Then gave Sam the little box with the special note cards in it. That will be a great remembrance for Sam. We met as family and friends after the baptism at our home for a special luncheon to celebrate Sam and his great decision to become a member of the Church.
Sunday morning Sam met with the Stake Presidency so they could congratulate him and spend some time getting to know him. Sam had his picture taken with President Allred and President Chesnut which they place on the wall at the Stake Center, they also made Sam a copy for his scrapbook.
This was a wonderful weekend for Sam. We are very proud of him. Heavenly Father is very proud of his decision also. We LOVE you Sam! You are a great light in our lives. Love You!

Alex went on his first official "date" dance a couple of weeks ago.

Here he is just before picking up his cute date.

They had a daytime picnic and played games at a park.

That evening they went to dinner and the dance then watched movies.

Happy 8th Birthday to my sweet Sammy!
Sam invited a handful of friends to Jack + Jills bowling and laser tag.
They all had a great time bowling, playing the arcade and earning tickets to buy prizes, chasing each other in the laser tag room, eating a load of pizza, pop and drinks.
That evening as a family we went with Grandpa and Grandma Jorgensen to the Brick Oven, which seems to be a birthday tradition in our family. I am pretty sure Sam had a great day. On Sunday we gathered at home with extended family to celebrate Sam. He is now preparing to be Baptized on October 8th. I am so proud of him for making this special decision in his life.
We Love you Sam! :)

Las Vegas

A few weeks ago we helped load Jared, Kristin and Luke up for their big move to Vegas.
We took along Alex, Ciara, Sam and Roxy, - I have to say we really do have good road-trippers. They don't complain too often. It is actually something (I) look forward to (love road trips & long drives). We stayed at a hotel right on the strip....Well I can say that next time we go to Vegas we will not be staying on the strip with or without kids. Jared and Kristin are all moved into their new place. Roxy and Luke had fun playing together. I wish I had gotten some pictures of them :(
We will miss their family but also know we aren't too far away that we can drive and be there in a day. Good luck in Las Vegas Warburton's ~

Sam the Bobcat

Sam was awarded his Bobcat badge this last week at scouts. He has been working on it for quite awhile. He was so excited to finally recieve it. Sam loves scouts and has made new friends and learned so many things. Dad and Sam go each week and Sam seriously can't wait each

Wednesday to go to scouting activities.

I am pretty sure that scouting runs in the Warburton blood line. Ha!

First day of School 2011-2012

Jade is attending UVU, Alex is now a Junior and Ciara is running the school as a 6th grader and Sam is in 2nd grade. I think they are each equally excited for this school year. Summer flew by...and now it's time to try to settle into a regular routine of homework,lessons, reading and bedtimes!Jade and Alex both thought they were too old to stand in front of the house on the first day of school with backpacks, lunchboxes and new school clothes. The smaller kidlets obliged me.

Summer is coming to an end.
School will be starting in just under a week.
We've conquered some school shopping, and loaded up on school supplies.
The little ones are ready to find out who their teachers are for the new school year.
Summer seems to fly by so fast.
We didn't do too much this summer, just took the days easy and did whatever came up that day.
I do look forward to school starting, it seems to be bitter sweet.
I love having the kids home, but also look forward to haveing more structure when school starts.
We have enjoyed the jeep rides, the snow cones and ice cream, picnics and spending time together.
Here we go into another season.
Another stage of life.

Quick Trip*

We decided to pack up the kidlets and go on a last minute getaway to Logan, UT. Our favorite place to eat when we head up north is Maddox Steakhouse in Perry, Ut. Let's just say Ciara was seriously in meat-lovers heaven! We came home "the back-way!" we LoVe to road trip (well most of us) and we took every back road detour in northern Utah. We made our way to Park City for some school shopping and home through Midway.

Whew!

I am glad we have such good little troopers!

It was a great getaway at a much needed time.

SUMMER CAR SHOW

Special visit

We were delighted to have some special visitors this week.

Grandpa and Grandma Warburton were able to fly in for

Uncle Keith's Funeral (Grandpa's Brother).

Uncle Keith's health had been declining for a few months now.

We will miss seeing him spending time with the horses and tinkering with projects. He was a great man and will be missed by so many people.

We were fortunate that Grandpa and Grandma were able to fly home from Long Beach, CA. and visit for three days. We got together Friday evening after the Funeral for a Warburton BBQ- Food, Family, Fun! We are so thankful that most of the siblings could make it to Grandma's for dinner. Jared and Kristin's family will be moving to Vegas soon so it was great to get everyone together and spend some great time together.
