HOW TO UPGRADE INFINIX HOT NOTE TO LOLLIPOP

REQUIREMENTS:
i.) Your PC (running Windows 7 or 8)

ii.) A working USB cable

iii.) Infinix Hot Note X551 Lollipop ROM File >> Download Infinix Hot Note X551 Lollipop Here.
OR Lollipop ROM file >> For Infinix Hot Note Pro (2GB+32GB version)

Extract the file to a folder on your computer after downloading.

iv.) VCOM Drivers, which you can DOWNLOAD HERE

v.) SP Flashtool >> DOWNLOAD THAT HERE

Install the softwares - ( iv.) and ( v.) above
Once you have all those 5 tools ready, you can proceed.

Hollup! just hollup, before we Continue...

N.B:
* Enable USB Debugging mode by going to settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging **Upgrade/Flashing will Wipe your phone memory.

Please Ensure you remove your SDcard or Back Up the files your saved in your device's Internal memory, especially Media files (Videos, Music) or whatever's important, like your Contacts, you use this App to Backup your Contact , back them up by moving the Files to your PC or memory card and remove the Memory SD card if you use one in your Infinix Hot Note.

STAGE TWO

1. Be Sure your phone (Hot Note) is Still On and very well charged. Also "Unroot your phone" if it's rooted, you can easily unroot with King Root App.

2. Go to where you Extracted your SP Flash Tool v5.1352.01, inside it, you'll find the file name flash_tool.exe , right click and Run it as Administrator.

For the first time, it will bring a Window saying - The Scatter file cannot found, please make sure the file is exist before download.
Just ignore that by clicking OK.

3. Click SCATTER LOADING, this opens your folder. Navigate into the folder where you had extracted the Lollipop ROM file for Infinix Hot Note X551.
According to my screenshot, I saved my Rom in my Desktop.

Select the scatter file with name - MT6592_Android_scatter.txt

Wait till it completely loads up on the flash programs.

4. On the SP Flashtool, where you see Download only, click and change it to FIRMWARE UPGRADE

5. This is the tricky part, you'll pass if you follow carefully. ***
Pick up the phone, it should be still ON at this stage >> Now plug the USB On your Flashtool, Click DOWNLOAD icon, wait for some seconds... no worries, nothing happens here. While it is still plugged in, Now Power OFF your Hot Note Device. Seconds later, some readings will display on the SP flash tool. 6. Give it some time, Do NOT interrupt the process (well, unless you want to brick your device) 7. When the Process is Complete and successful, You'll get a Green Check Mark saying Download OK in the Flashtool on your PC, now you can unplug your phone. Power ON the device, Keep calm as this will take a while since it's the first time. When it's finally On, Follow the Instructions on the Welcome message and we're done! Congrats! Your Infinix Hot Note now runs Android Lollipop 5.1

Battery life is poor

Most people seem to be quite contented with the Note 5 battery life, but it does have a smaller battery (rated at 3000mAh) than its predecessor, and not everyone is happy with its staying power. If you’re having battery issues, then there are some things you can try.

Potential solutions:

Take a look in Settings > Battery. You can tap onBattery usage to see a list of what is draining your battery. If you go back to Settings > Battery you’ll also find an Abnormal battery usage section that should highlight anything that’s guzzling too much juice. If there’s a problematic app, then consider uninstalling it or restricting it.
You can use Power saving mode in Settings > Battery to spin your battery out a little longer without major impact on your functions. Ultra power saving mode is much more intrusive, and it’s really for emergencies.
It’s a good idea to uninstall or disable any apps you aren’t using. Go to Settings > Applications > Application manager, scroll to the All, find apps you don’t want, and tap on them to choose Uninstall or Disable. Be careful what you choose. If you’re not sure what an app is, then do a quick search online first, and make sure it’s safe to disable.

HOW TO UPDATE/FLASH VIA SP FLASHTOOL :

Download the Lollipop Update for Your INFINX HOT NOTE X551 (This File is Only for the HOT NOTE X551) .

Extract to your desktop or any location of your choice

Download and Extract your SP FLASHTOOL V5 to your preferred location on your computer.

Turn Off your INFINIX SMARTPHONE (Remove Your Sim Cards & SD card)

Open your SP FLASHTOOL and locate flashtool.exe Double click to open it.

Go to Scatter Loading and select MT6592_Android_scatter.txt it will load up the remaining files.

In the Picture above click the place labeled 2 and choose Firmware Upgrade

HOW TO UPDATE VIA OTA :

Infinix Promised to release OTA(Over The Air) UPDATE today. To get this done just goto your Phone and click on SYSTEM UPDATES. Follow the guide below :

Un-Root Your Device
Install Stock Recovery if you have CWM RECOVERY installed before.
Click on SYSTEM UPDATES be connected to the Internet with at least 1GB of DATA.
Download and Click Install Updates, it should take you to the stock recovery and install the update.
Reboot your phone and ENJOY.

Increase Apps storage space of Xperia C

Increase Apps storage space of Xperia C to 2GB from 1GB earlier :) . Many of the Xperia C, i guess almost all were facing “Insufficient storage Space”

Note : If you increase App or Device storage space of Xperia C then your Internal Memory becomes 210 MB, therefore members you do not have memory card yet should not proceed with this tutorial to increase app storage space of Xperia C.

Important : First of all Take Full CWM backup of Xperia C, by booting into recovery and selecting Backup and Restore and then selecting backup using power button. This is needed because in the process of Increasing App storage space of Xperia C, your full data will be lost and therefore you need CWM Backup to restore to the point you took the backup. If you do not have CWM Recovery Installed, then read this : Install Pure CWM on Xperia C and then proceed. Any other recovery like Carliv or TWRP can also work.
Now download Increase Apps Storage Space of Xperia C file from Download Increase Apps Storage.zip It is flashable zip file. One must place the downloaded zip file to SD card or any other location you remember.
Now boot into recovery and flash the downloaded file using Install ZIP from SD card.
Once installation is finished, then restart your Xperia C.
Xperia C will take almost 10 minutes in rebooting, Please Do not get panic, as we have already tested the same and found it working on Xperia C.
Once Xperia C starts, then simply turn off the phone and again boot into recovery and restore the backup you created earlier using CWM. By this you will restore all the data you had earlier.

You are done in increasing the Memory space of the Apps storage of Xperia C. Thanks to Merabi Machavariani for trying it and also giving information.

You can use safe mode to start up your device with only the original software and apps that came with your phone. If the issues with your device go away in safe mode, the problem is probably caused by a third-party app downloaded on your device.

Use safe mode to find problem apps

Make sure your device's screen is on, then press & hold the Power button.
In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
You’ll see a “Reboot to safe mode” box. Touch OK.
Your device will start up in safe mode. Try using your device normally. Remember, you won’t be able to use any installed apps.

If the problem goes away: Restart your device to exit safe mode. Uninstall recently downloaded apps one by one to see if you can find the app that’s causing issues.

Unjailbreak Your iPhone without restore for iOS 8.1 through 8.4

If you jailbreak your iPhone or iPad but want to revert back to vanilla land, here’s how to unjailbreak your iPhone while remaining on that same version of iOS.

The first thing you’ll want to do is go into Cydia and install Cydia Impactor, which can be found by searching for it and typing in “Cydia Impactor.” From there, tap to view the tool and then tap on Modify in the top-right corner. Then select Install from the pop-up that appears.

Once you have it installed and are ready to unjailbreak, be sure to back up your iOS device and then turn off Find My iPhone by going into Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone. You’ll want to backup so that if something goes wrong during the unjailbreaking process, you won’t lose any of your precious data, including any saved settings, as well as photos, music, etc.

Now, fire up the Cydia Impactor app and you’ll be greeted with a handful of things that you should know before you continue on, some of which I already mentioned, but it’s a good idea to give the list a good look-over. After that, simply tap on Delete all data, unjailbreak device to start the process, and then tap Delete All to confirm.

Just sit back and relax as the tool does its thing. It could take up to twenty minutes to complete the process, depending on how much data you had stored on your device (a 128GB full of data will take longer than a 16GB device), so be patient. Once the process is done, you’ll be greeted with the iOS Setup Assistant that you might be familiar with when you first set up your iPhone when you bought it, giving you the infamous Hello greeting.

Root Galaxy S3!

let’s root our Galaxy S3, it only takes about 5 minutes, very safe to do.

1. Hold down Volume Down, Home Center, and Power buttons together for about 20 seconds until your phone resets and shows you an option to get into download mode.

2. Next hit Volume Up button to enter download mode.

3. Once in Download mode, you can connect your micro-USB cable from your Galaxy S3 to your computer.

4. Next, download GalaxyS3Root.zip and unzip, you should find 3 files like below screenshot. (Don’t have unzipping program? Download and install 7Zip.)

5. Next, make sure you have drivers installed, you should see “Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device” in Device Manager. If you don’t, simply download Samsung Kies and install it. (Then unplug, plug the micro-USB cable.)

6. Double-click on odin3 v1.85.exe file to start ODIN. You should see a yellow highlighted box with a COM number. The number doesn’t matter just so long as you see a yellow box. If you don’t see yellow box, your drivers are not installed correctly OR try killing Kies in Task Manager as sometimes it can interfere.

7. Choose “PDA” and choose “CF-Root-SGS3-v6.1.tar” file in GalaxyS3Root folder. Then hit “Start”.

8. In about 10 seconds, your phone will reboot and give you ClockworkMod Recovery and full root.

9. You will get a “PASS!” if everything went correctly.

10. Your phone will automatically reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery and install root/Superuser files.

11. Once your phone reboots, you will find “SuperSU” app, which is the Superuser app.

12. You can verify you have root by running a rooted app such as Titanium Backup app, you will see Superuser request window pop up. Hit “Grant” everytime you see this.

13. You can now get into ClockworkMod Recovery anytime by holding down Volume Up, Center Home, and Power button together for 20 seconds.

How To Downgrade iOS 7 To iOS 6.1.3 On iPhone 4 Using iFaith

If you’ve stored your iOS 6.1.3/6.1.2 blobs previously for safe-keeping, then check the guide below for a step-by-step to downgrading success. Please note, this guide is for Windows users, and is applicable only on iPhone 4.
Step 1: First up, you’ll need to be running iTunes 11.0.5 or below, so if you’re on a newer version like iTunes 11.1.x, you will need to essentially uninstall it first. This is because starting from iTunes 11.1, Apple has killed the ability to restore to custom firmware files from iTunes. When uninstalling, make sure you remove all traces, including services like Apple Mobile Device, Apple Software Update and Bonjour.
Step 2: After a restart to wash away those traces, download iTunes 11.0.5 from OldApps, or any similar such site [direct link]. Install it, and if you encounter an error relating to "iTunes Music Library.xml", head over to your iTunes Music folder and delete said file.
Step 3: Grab the latest version of iFaith (here), and also download iOS 6.1.3 or download iOS 6.1.2 firmware for iPhone 4, depending on which firmware you have saved blobs for to downgrade to. You will also need to retrieve your SHSH blobs from wherever you have happened to save them locally. If you previously had them saved on Cydia, you can make use of “Show Available SHSH Caches on Server” option in iFaith to save them on your HDD now.
Step 4: Fire up iFaith, and click "Build "*signed* IPSW w / Blobs". This will begin the process of creating your modified firmware file to which you will be downgrading.

Step 5: Locate your SHSH, and then select the stock iOS firmware file that you downloaded in Step 3 above. iFaith will then work its magic and create a custom IPSW.
Step 6: Follow the on-screen instructions to put your device into pwned DFU mode using iFaith’s built-in DFU Pwner:

Hold Power and Home buttons at the same time for 10 seconds
Release the Power button whilst continuing to hold Home until the screen is blank.
Congratulations, you have successfully entered DFU mode.

Step 7. Finally, Load up iTunes, select your iPhone, hold down the left SHIFT key and click on Restore iPhone at the same time, and browse to that custom firmware file created by iFaith. The restore will then proceed.

Once the restore is complete, your iPhone 4 will be back to iOS 6.x.

Nexus 4 Red Light of Death Fix

This usually indicates that you left your phone battery to die completely or that you used a wonky car charger or other 'bad' charging method. Whatever the cause it is battery related.

There are a couple of "fixes" out there. Let us see if we can get one to work for you.
I assume that your phone is on charge now. If the red light is blinking, leave it to charge for up to 8 hours. If the red light is solid try one of these:

Option 1
-unplug the phone from charger.
-hold the volume up and power button for a full 60 seconds (nothing should happen here, so don't be discouraged)
-release the buttons and plug the phone in to charge for at least an hour.

Option 2
-unplug phone from charge
-hold down volume up and power
-while holding down both buttons plug in the charger to phone

Option 3
-preform a battery pull...this requires taking your phone apart

Option 4
-call Google for RMA if you are under warranty and your purchased the phone from google itself not a reseller

How to Boot and Enter Google Nexus 4 Recovery Mode - FastBoot

How to boot Stock Recovery Mode for Google Nexus 4:

This process is similar to the one listed above.

Power off the Nexus 4.
Press and hold at the same time Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons.
When you’re at the Bootloader / Fastboot main screen press Volume Up until the Start text turns to Recovery mode.
Press Power to boot the Recovery Mode.
> shortly you will see a green Android laid on its back with a red exclamation mark.
Press and hold Power button and immediately press the Volume UP.
This will open the Stock Recovery mode of your Nexus 4.

Nexus 4 Guide-Unlock Bootloader, Root, Install Custom Recoveries & Custom ROMs

Prerequisites

Google USB drivers delivered with Android SDK (Do it the way you find it easy). Remember, USB drivers in this case doesn’t mean only the drivers to mount the device storage but rather the fastboot and adb drivers too.
Compatible USB data cable.
Android SDK configured (Follow this guide to setup Android SDK and thus it itself configures ADB and all other SDK components)
USB Debugging enabled (Don’t know how? Take a look here)
Backup Device Storage, Messages, Contacts, Calendars etc.
60% or above battery life (This is a recommendation to avoid any uncertain shutdowns during the mentioned process, it might cause issues)
Fastboot binary (Put the file in <sdk_directory>/platform-tools)

Once you have filled in all the requirements, you shall follow further. If you have problem with setting up the prerequisites, please comment and get your issue resolved. Always remember, the more you ask, the more put up to your knowledge and the more you learn.

Unlock Bootloader
Don't want to lose your data after unlocking? Read this.

Reboot your device into bootloader mode. Either manually, by powering off and then pressing Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously or using the following command in CMD/Terminal.
Code:

adb reboot bootloader
```
Connect the device to your PC using USB data cable.
Open CMD/Terminal and confirm that the drivers are properly installed and the device is detected by entering the following command
Code:

fastboot devices
```
The device ID shall be displayed as the output in your shell. If it is so then the response is positive but in case it shows something else, please make sure to properly install the drivers using a different method than that you used earlier.
Type in the following in CMD/Terminal to initiate the unlocking process

fastboot oem unlock
```
You will now be prompted with a warning message, use the volume keys to highlight Yes and select it using the power button. Then within a matter of seconds, your device shall be unlocked.
To confirm that it is unlocked, look over to the text in front of Lock State and it should be unlocked.
You’ve successfully unlocked.

What? Too easy? Yes, indeed. The following is as easy too.

Install Custom Recovery
We’ve 2 custom recoveries available yet for our Nexus 4 viz ClockworkMod and TWRP. ClockworkMod or CWM (in short) comes in 2 variants (Touch UI based & Non-Touch UI based). Below I have mentioned on how to flash each one of them using fastboot. For more info about these two recoveries, visit ClockworkMod and TeamWin websites.

Reboot your device into bootloader mode. Either manually, by powering off and then pressing Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously or using the following command in CMD/Terminal.
Code:

adb reboot bootloader
```
Download the latest build of your desired recovery [CWM | TWRP]
Place the downloaded recovery image (.img) file on your desktop.
If in Windows, open CMD and cd it to the desktop using the following command

cd Desktop
```
If in OS X or Linux, open terminal and cd it to the desktop using the following command
Code:
```
cd ~/Desktop
```
To flash ClockworkMod Non-Touch, type in the following command:
Code:
```
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-x.x.x.x-mako.img
```
Replace x.x.x.x with the recovery build no. that you downloaded.
To flash ClockworkMod Touch, type in the following command:
Code:
```
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-x.x.x.x-mako.img
```
Replace x.x.x.x with the recovery build no. that you downloaded.
To flash TWRP, type in the following command:
Code:
```
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-x.x.x.x-mako.img
```
Replace x.x.x.x with the recovery build no. that you downloaded.
Once flashed, you will prompted on the CMD/Terminal itself.
Now, either reboot your device by using volume keys to highlight Reboot and select using Power button or reboot into the recovery by selecting Recovery mode.

Voila! The next to follow is to root or directly flash a Custom ROM, which is already rooted.

Rooting
Not everyone and each one of us like Custom ROMs. Some users might prefer high stock stability over the features offered by Custom ROMs. and that’s completely normal. But, what if you have an App that requires Root privileges or may be, you need to access the System partition of your device to make certain modifications of your own? This is where the process of Rooting enters. Now when you already know what Rooting is, we shall head further and follow another set of very-simple instructions to root your Nexus 4.

Download the latest SuperSU flash-able root package. [Chainfire's SuperSU Thread]
Connect your device to the PC via USB cable.
Transfer the downloaded file to a suitable location in the device.
Do not disconnect the device.
Open CMD/Terminal and type in the following command:

adb reboot recovery
```
This will boot your device directly into recovery mode.
You may now disconnect the device.
If you are using CWM, tap on install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard and select the CWM-SuperSU-v0.93.zip. When prompted select Yes to start the flashing process.
If you are using TWRP, tap on Install and select the CWM-SuperSU-v0.93.zip. Slide the circular button to start the flashing process.
When the flashing process has finished, select reboot system now (In CWM) or Reboot > System (In TWRP) to reboot your device.

Congrats! You have successfully rooted your device. Go ahead and use any App that requires Root permissions.

Installing Custom ROM
Its simple, very much simple. All you got to do, is to choose a Custom ROM and simply flash it via your custom recovery.

The very first step is to choose a Custom ROM that fits all your needs and serves you with your desires. When chosen, download the ROM file (flashable zip).
NOTE: Every ROM here at this section is worth and is a result of hardwork of developers/team. Please do not criticize any ROM for any reason. Maintain the forum spirit by encouraging people.
Download the suitable GApps package corresponding to the Android version of your ROM [Link]
In case, the developer has provided specific modified GApps package, download that. Then there is no need to download the GApps package from step #2
Connect your device to the PC via USB data cable.
Transfer the ROM & GApps zip to the device. Its is recommended to put the files in the root of your device storage for convenience.
Disconnect the device,
Power off. Press the Volume Down and Power keys together to boot into the Bootloader mode.
Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery mode and select it using the Power button. Your device will then boot itself into Recovery mode.
Flash using CWM
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
Go to "mounts and storage" > "format /system" "format /boot"
Go to "install zip from sdcard" > "choose zip from sdcard" > select your ROM .zip file that you placed in step #6. Flash it.
Gapps are the next to be flashed just after flashing the ROM. So, flash Gapps following the same way as the ROM. further if your are provided any add-on in a flash able zip format you can flash it the same way after flashing the ROM and GApps successfully.
Once everything has flashed successfully, select "reboot system now".
Flash using TWRP
Go to "Wipe" > "Advanced" and "Factory Reset".
Go to "Install" > choose the ROM .zip file and flash it.
