You have no limitations on your potential except for those you believe you have. As Walter D. Wintle wrote:

The Man Who Thinks He Can
If you think you're beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you would like to win,
but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.

Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can.

THINK LIKE A WINNER

Thinking like a winner is the first step to living like a winner. You will become that which you think about most of the time. You are the architect of your personality and character. Your goal, your desire, is to be as successful, happy, and prosperous as you possibly can be in every aspect of your life. Therefore, the systematic development of a positive attitude is something that you need to work on every hour of every day. Continue to work on yourself and your thinking until you reach the point where you absolutely, positively believe yourself capable of winning in anything you sincerely want to accomplish.

People succeed not because they have remarkable characteristics or qualities. The most successful people are quite ordinary, just like you and me. Most of us start off poor and confused. We spend many years getting some sort of direction in our lives. But the turning point comes when we begin to believe that we have within us that divine spark that can lead us onward and upward to the accomplishment of anything that we really want in life. So, become the man or woman who thinks, I can. And when you reach the point where you feel unshakable confidence in yourself and your abilities, nothing will be able to stop you, not even the Sahara. Just stay your course and take each challenge ... one oil barrel at a time.

(Article extracted from Nightingale Advantedge News letter)

THINK LIKE A WINNER (Part 4)

WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK?

People who never achieve success do so because they fall in love with their excuses. It isn't the actual truth about yourself and your abilities that hurts you; it is the things you consider to be true but have no basis in truth that hold you back.

We naturally fall in love with our reasons for not moving ahead. Even if someone challenges those reasons, or tells us that we have the capacity to accomplish so much more, we will often argue with that person.

We attempt to prove to ourselves and others that our limitations are real, and the less justification these ideals or beliefs have, the more adamant we become in attempting to prove them to others. Richard Bach wrote this beautiful line: "Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours."

So how do you change your beliefs? The starting point is to get up the courage to question these self-limiting beliefs seriously. Question your basic premises. Check your assumptions. Ask yourself, What assumptions am I making about myself or my situation that might not be true? Think about them. Remember, most of our self-limiting beliefs have no basis whatsoever in fact. They are based on information and ideas that we have accepted as true, sometimes in early childhood, and to the degree we accept them as true, they become true for us.

You can always tell what your true values and beliefs are by looking at your actions. It isn't what you say or wish or hope or intend that demonstrates what you really believe. It is only what you do. It is only the behaviors that you engage in. It is only the actions you choose to undertake. And out of your actions come all the elements of your life. You are where you are and what you are because of what you have done in the past. But the wonderful news is, the past doesn't have to hold you back. That's because we are in a perpetual state of becoming.

(Article extracted from Nightingale Advantedge News letter)

THINK LIKE A WINNER (Part 3)

OVERCOMING THE FOUR OBSTACLES TO A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

These obstacles are fear, worry, anger, and doubt. When things are not working out the way we had expected, our immediate response is to become fearful and uneasy. We are afraid that we will lose our money, waste our effort, or forfeit our emotional or physical investment in what we have done. If we are not careful, we start thinking of our potential losses rather than focusing on our potential gains.

Fear triggers worry, and we begin to use our power of imagination to create all sorts of negative images that cause us unhappiness and insomnia, and make us unable to perform efficiently. Fear and worry create anger, or what has been called the "victim complex." Instead of moving constantly forward in the direction of our dreams, we begin to react and respond, and to blame other people and other situations for our problems and challenges at hand.

Surrounding these negative emotions is the mental quality of doubt. Doubt is a fertile breeding ground for the other three negative emotions. Therefore, to eliminate these obstacles to positive thinking, you need to systematically eradicate the weakening emotion of doubt.

How do you do this? It's simple. The only real antidote to fear, worry, anger, and doubt is positive action toward the achievement of some worthwhile ideal.

Psychologists tell us that the key to dealing effectively with life is what they call "cognitive control." This is the assumption that you can think about, and concentrate on, only one thing at a time, either positive or negative. Successful people consciously choose to think about what they want, rather than what they don't want. As a result, they are continuously taking action toward their goals, rather than spending their time thinking and worrying about the current difficulties or the inevitable challenges that are sure to face them.

(Article extracted from Nightingale News letter)

THINK LIKE A WINNER (Part 2)

As we moved south across the desert, we encountered endless problems, any one of which could have ended our trip and, probably, our lives. Yet, it was during this desert crossing that I learned one of the most important lessons in my life about attitude.

The French, who had controlled Algeria for many years, had marked a path across the desert with black 55-gallon oil drums. The drums were spaced exactly five kilometers apart. As we drove and came to an oil drum, the next drum, which was five kilometers ahead, would pop up on the horizon, and the last oil drum, which was five kilometers behind, would fall off the horizon. Wherever we were, we could always see two oil drums at a time — the one we had just left and the one we were headed toward. To cross one of the greatest deserts in the world, all we had to do was take it "one oil barrel at a time." We did not have to cross the entire desert at once. For me, crossing the Sahara was a metaphor for life. In order to maintain a positive attitude under all circumstances, all you have to do is take it one step, one oil barrel, at a time. As Thomas Carlyle said, "Our great business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand."

In any endeavor we can choose to be positive and constructive, sit down and think through the situation, and then begin to deal with it one oil barrel — one small achievement — at a time. Of course, this isn't always as easy as it sounds. We all must overcome the four obstacles that tend to get in the way of our maintaining a positive attitude.

(Article extracted from Nightingale Advantedge News letter)

THINK LIKE A WINNER (Part 1)

People who never achieve success do so because they fall in love with their excuses. Many of our friends were going to Europe and hitchhiking around with rucksacks. We decided to be different and go to Africa instead. It never occurred to us to ask why no one else was going to Africa. We found out later, much to our great regret.

To get to our destination in Africa, we had to cross the Sahara. We started out from London, riding bicycles across France and Spain. The labor was excruciating, the progress slow, and the pleasure was nonexistent.

In Gibraltar, we sold our bicycles and invested our last few dollars in an old Land Rover. We crossed from Gibraltar to Tangier into Algeria. We were on our way in Africa. Still, there was one obstacle between us and the greenery we were anxious to see. It was that darn old desert. We had no idea how serious and how difficult this adventure was to be.

(Article extracted from Nightingale Advantedge News letter)

Impossible Is Not An Option

I love to walk along the beach near my house together with my wife after our dinner. Friday evening is the usual time we will have our walk on the beach. I worked a 5 days week, and during weekday night, I still need to work on my personal projects which normally take up 2-3 hrs. You can understand how I appreciate and take great important of every Friday evening walk with my wife.

Last week, while strolling under the moon light with soft sea breeze blowing onto our faces. Watching couples cuddling under the cover of the darkness. What you can hear is only the sound of the wave coming onshore? Such romantic scene, only can happen in Hollywood movie is unbelievable happening every Friday night to us.

Unconsciously looking down onto the cement path that we are walking, under the warm moon light, we noticed some white painted words on the cement path. Look a little closer, it reads,

“Winning is not about beating the man in front of you, but within you.
Impossible is not an option.”

Think about the words closely, a lot of thing we thought whether we can or cannot do is on our believes, is all in our mind. It remind me of what Brian Tracy talk about in one of his audio CD:

80% of our constrain we faced in achieving our goal is within ourselves, only 20% is coming from external.

It matches want I saw on the path that night.

The world is full of new experience and new knowledge. He is the mid-field superstar of Chelsea Football Club. I recently surfing the internet soccer news and come across this article which I like to share with you. Below is part of the extract on what Lampard said in the interview to BBC:

At Chelsea I practice after training because I was given that advice when I was very young: train and work on your skills after everyone else has gone home, work on your weaknesses where you can. That lesson has become part of me.

Instead of thinking I've had enough now, or I can't do it, or I can't hit it with my left foot, to try and do more on your own is a great thing to make you into a player. I do lots of shooting, passing and sometimes fitness work if we haven't played games. I'll basically work on anything I feel is relevant at the time. If something is letting me down I'll work hard on that and hopefully the improvement will show in the following weeks.

I know first hand that dealing with someone with a great technical ability can help you. Gianfranco Zola had probably the best technique I've seen in a footballer I've played with and he was so willing to help others. Zola was a massive influence on me because he arrived when he was 35 and I was amazed how someone at that age could still have that hunger to improve and to take me with him and say 'come on let's do it together'. He was the most talented player I played with and he was still working on shooting with his left foot so he was as comfortable with it as he was with his right. These are basic things but it shows you that players at the top of the game are still doing them.

Football has always been the biggest thing in my life so at any moment after school or during my lunch break I would be training or just playing with my mates as much as I could. Undoubtedly there are more skilful players than me, players like Joe Cole, Wayne Rooney, Gianfranca Zola - they're the more technical players. I like to put myself somewhere in between - a bit of skill and a lot of hard work as well. But what is important is that you make the best out of yourself. There will be players who might not be technically fantastic, but they work as hard as they can at their game and they get themselves to a good level.

I think many of us know the phrase,

Practice Makes Perfect

In fact, many of us used it very often, but how many of us actually practicing it. We have abused the very simple phrase that makes success look easy. Only those who practice it are the one who make it.

WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 8)

Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow

Strategic Coach Dan Sullivan once stated that all entrepreneurs are really con artists. They get other people to pay them to practice getting better at what they love to do.
Think about it.

Tiger Woods loves to play golf. People pay him big money to play golf. Every time he plays, he learns more about playing better. He gets to practice and hang out with other golfers, all the while getting paid for it.

Or consider baseball power-hitter Sammy Sosa when he played with the Chicago Cubs. It took him about one second to hit a home run — as long as it takes for the ball to meet the bat. He earned $10,625,000 for about 70 seconds of batting time per year, so he got really good at making the bat meet the ball. That's where he made his money. That's where he put all his time — practicing and getting ready for the bat to meet the ball. He had found his core genius and devoted the majority of his waking hours to perfecting his genius.

Of course, most of us are not on par with Tiger Woods or Sammy Sosa, but the fact is that we could learn a lot from their level of focus on pursuing what they love.

If you do what you love and the money will be attracted to you, but critically remember that money is just the score of the whole process you will be going through. The knowledge, wisdom and experience you gain in the process far exceed the monetary rewards you received in the process. Focus on the process and learn from the experience, it will bring you further than where you expect or plan.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/07/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-8.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 7)

Share Your Vision

When you've finished writing down your vision, share your vision with a good friend whom you can trust to be positive and supportive. You might be afraid that your friend will think your vision is too outlandish, impossible to achieve, too idealistic, unrealistic, or materialistic. Almost all people have these thoughts when they think about sharing their vision. But the truth is, most people, deep down in their hearts, want the very same things you want. Everyone wants financial abundance, a comfortable home, meaningful work he or she enjoys, good health, time to do the things he or she loves, nurturing relationships with his or her family and friends, and an opportunity to make a difference in the world. But too few of us readily admit it.

You'll find that when you share your vision, some people will want to help you make it happen. Others will introduce you to friends and resources that can help you. You'll also find that each time that you share your vision, it becomes clearer and feels more real and attainable. And most importantly, every time you share your vision, you strengthen your own subconscious belief that you can achieve it.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/06/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-7.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 6)

DON'T LET ANYONE TALK YOU OUT OF YOUR VISION

There are people who will try to talk you out of your vision and rob your focus from your core genius. They will tell you that you are crazy and that it can't be done. There will be those who will laugh at you and try to bring you down to their level. My friend Monty Roberts, the author of The Man Who Listens to Horses, calls these people dream-stealers. Don't listen to them.

When Monty was in high school, his teacher gave the class the assignment, similar to the vision exercise above, to write about what they wanted to do when they grew up. Monty wrote that he wanted to own his own 200-acre ranch and raise Thoroughbred racehorses. His teacher gave him an F and explained that the grade reflected that he deemed his dream unrealistic. No boy who was living in a camper on the back of a pickup truck would ever be able to amass enough money to buy a ranch, purchase breeding stock, and pay the necessary salaries for ranch hands. When he offered Monty the chance of rewriting his paper for a higher grade, Monty told him, "You keep the F; I'm keeping my dream."

Today Monty's 154-acre Flag Is Up Farms in Solvang, California, raises Thoroughbred racehorses and trains hundreds of horse trainers in a more humane way to "join up" with and train horses.

So, let me end as I began. What do you want to accomplish in life? What do you want to experience? And what possessions do you want to acquire? What does success look like to you? Success in life works like GPS navigation. All you have to do is decide where you want to go by clarifying your vision, lock in the destination, and then start moving in the right direction. Focus on your core genius and your inner GPS will keep unfolding your route as you continue to move forward. The exact steps — the how — will keep appearing along the way — sometimes just when you need it and not a moment earlier.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/06/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-6.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 5B)

If you're a professional earning $75 per hour and you pay a neighborhood kid $10 an hour to cut the grass, you save the effort of doing it yourself on the weekend and gain one extra hour when you could profit by $65. Of course, though one hour doesn't seem like much, multiply that by at least 20 weekends in the spring and summer and you discover you've gained 20 hours a year at $65 per hour — or an extra $1,300 in potential earnings.

Similarly, if you're a real estate agent, you need to list houses, gather information for the multiple listings, attend open houses, do showings, put keys in lockboxes, write offers, and make appointments. And if you're lucky, you eventually get to close a deal.

But let's say that you're the best closer in the area. Why would you want to waste your time writing listings, doing lead generation, placing lockboxes, and making videos of the property, when you could have a staff of colleagues and assistants doing all that, thus freeing you up to do more closings? Instead of doing just one deal a week, you could be doing three deals because you had delegated what you're less good at.

One of the strategies I use and teach is complete delegation. It simply means that you delegate a task once and completely — rather than delegating it each time it needs to be done.

When I hired the gardener for my Santa Barbara estate, I said, "I want my grounds to look as close as possible to the grounds at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Montecito, using the budget I'm providing you." When I go to the Four Seasons, I don't have to check whether the trees need to be trimmed or the automatic sprinklers are working. Someone else is in charge of that. Well, I want the same luxury at my home. "With that as our operating principle," I said, "here's the budget. Take charge of the grounds. If I'm ever not happy, I'll let you know. If I'm not happy a second time, I'll find someone else. Does that feel like a workable agreement?"

My landscaper was, in fact, very excited. He knew he wouldn't be micromanaged, and I knew I wouldn't have to worry about it again — and I don't. See what I mean? Complete delegation.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/06/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-5b.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 5A)

STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR CORE GENIUS

You have inside you a core genius — some one thing that you love to do and do so well that you hardly feel like charging people for it. It's effortless for you and a whole lot of fun. And if you could make money doing it, you'd make it your lifetime's work.

Successful people are able to do this by focusing on their core genius. They then delegate everything else to the people around them.

Compare that to most other people in the world who go through life doing everything, even those tasks they're bad at or that could be done more cheaply, better, and faster by someone else. They can't find the time to focus on their core genius because they fail to delegate even the most menial of tasks.

Many salespeople, for example, spend more time on account administration than they do on the phone making sales, when they could hire a part-time administrator (or share the cost with another salesperson) to do this time-consuming detail work.

Most female executives spend too much time running their household, when they could easily and inexpensively delegate this task to a cleaning service or part-time mother's helper, freeing themselves to focus on their career or spend more time with their family.

Even most entrepreneurs spend less than 30 percent of their time focusing on their core genius and unique abilities. In fact, by the time they've launched a business, it often seems

entrepreneurs are doing everything but the one thing they went into business for in the first place.

Don't let this be your fate. Identify your core genius, then delegate completely to free up more time to focus on what you love to do.

When you delegate the grunt work — the things you hate doing or those tasks that are so painful, you end up putting them off — you get to concentrate on what you love to do. You free up your time so that you can be more productive. And you get to enjoy life more.

So why is delegating routine tasks and unwanted projects so difficult for most people?

Surprisingly, most people are afraid of looking wasteful or being judged as being above everyone else. They are afraid to give up control or reluctant to spend the money to pay for help. Deep down, most people simply don't want to let go.

Others — potentially you — have simply fallen into the habit of doing everything themselves. "It's too time consuming to explain it to someone," you say. "I can do it more quickly and better myself anyway." But can you?

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/05/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-5a.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 4)

THE VISION EXERCISE

The following exercise is designed to help you clarify your vision and what you want to accomplish. Although you could do this as a strictly mental exercise by just thinking about the answers and then writing them down, I want to encourage you to go deeper than that. If you do, you'll get deeper answers that serve you better.

Start by putting on some relaxing music and sitting quietly in a comfortable environment where you won't be disturbed. Then, close your eyes and ask your subconscious mind to give you images of what your ideal life would look like if you could have it exactly the way you want it, in each of the following categories:

First, focus on the financial area of your dream life. What is your annual income? What does your cash flow look like? How much money do you have in savings and investments? What is your total net worth? Next ... what does your home look like? Where is it located? Does it have a view? What kind of yard and landscaping does it have? Is there a pool or a stable for horses? What color are the walls? What does the furniture look like? Are there paintings hanging in the rooms? What do they look like? Walk through your perfect house, filling in all of the details. At this point, don't worry about how you'll get that house. Don't sabotage yourself by saying, "I can't live in Malibu because I don't make enough money." Once you give your mind's eye the picture, your mind will solve the "not enough money" challenge. Next, visualize what kind of car you are driving and any other important possessions your finances have provided.

Next, visualize your ideal job or career. Where are you working? What are you doing? With whom are you working? What kind of clients or customers do you have? What is your compensation like? Is it your own business?

Then, focus on your free time, your recreation time. What are you doing with your family and friends in the free time you've created for yourself? What hobbies are you pursuing? What kinds of vacations do you take? What do you do for fun?

Next, what is your ideal vision of your body and your physical health? Are you free of all disease? How long do you live to? Are you open, relaxed, in an ecstatic state of bliss all day long? Are you full of vitality? Are you flexible as well as strong? Do you exercise, eat good food, and drink lots of water?

Then move on to your ideal vision of your relationships with your family and friends. What is your relationship with your family like? Who are your friends? What is the quality of your relationships with your friends? What do those friendships feel like? Are they loving, supportive, empowering? What kinds of things do you do together?

What about the personal arena of your life? Do you see yourself going back to school, getting training, attending workshops, seeking therapy for a past hurt, or growing spiritually? Do you meditate or go on spiritual retreats with your church? Do you want to learn to play an instrument or write your autobiography? Do you want to run a marathon or take an art class? Do you want to travel to other countries?

Finally, focus on the community you live in, the community you've chosen. What does it look like when it is operating perfectly? What kinds of community activities take place there? What about your charitable work? What do you do to help others and make a difference? How often do you participate in these activities? Who are you helping?

You can write down your answers as you go, or you can do the whole exercise first and then open your eyes and write them down. In either case, make sure you capture everything in writing as soon as you complete the exercise.

Keep your vision someplace where you can see and refer to it often, such as on your computer or bathroom mirror. Every day, review the vision you have written down. This will keep your conscious and subconscious minds focused on your vision.

Once you have your vision for what you want to accomplish in your life, the next step is figuring out how to get there. Fortunately there are as many ways to achieve the personal and financial goals identified in your vision as there are people; the difficulty is selecting the right path for you ... the one that leverages your "core genius."

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/05/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-4.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 3)

HIGH ACHIEVERS HAVE BIGGER VISIONS

I want to encourage you not to limit your vision in any way. Let it be as big as it is. When I interviewed Dave Liniger, the CEO of RE/MAX, the country's largest real estate company, he told me, "Always dream big dreams. Big dreams attract big people." General Wesley Clark recently told me, "It doesn't take any more energy to create a big dream than it does to create a little one." My experience is that one of the few differences between the superachievers and the rest of the world is that the superachievers simply dream bigger. John F. Kennedy dreamed of putting a man on the moon. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a country free of prejudice and injustice. Bill Gates dreams of a world in which every home has a computer that is connected to the Internet. Buckminster Fuller dreamed of a world where everybody had access to electrical power.

These high achievers see the world from a whole different perspective — as a place where amazing things can happen, where billions of lives can be improved, where new technology can change the way we live, and where the world's resources can be leveraged for the greatest possible mutual gain. They believe anything is possible, and they believe they have an integral part in creating it.

When Mark Victor Hansen and I first published Chicken Soup for the Soul®, what we called our "20/20 vision" was also a big one — to sell 1 billion Chicken Soup books and to raise $500 million for charity through tithing a portion of all of our profits by the year 2020. We were and are very clear about what we want to accomplish.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/05/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-3.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 2)

IS WORRYING ABOUT MAKING A LIVING STOPPING YOU?

What often stops people from expressing their true desire is that they don't think they can make a living doing what they love to do.

"What I love to do is hang out and talk with people," you might say.

Well, Oprah Winfrey makes a living hanging out talking with people. And my friend Diane Brause, who is an international tour guide, makes a living hanging out talking with people in some of the most exciting and exotic locations in the world.

Tiger Woods loves to play golf. Ellen DeGeneres loves to make people laugh. My sister loves to design jewelry and hang out with teenagers. Donald Trump loves to make deals and build buildings. I love to read and share what I have learned with others in books, speeches, and workshops. It's possible to make a living doing what you love.

Make a list of 20 things you love to do, and then think of ways you can make a living doing some of those things. If you love sports, you could play sports, be a sportswriter or photographer, or work in sports management as an agent or in the front office of a professional team. You could be a coach, a manager, or a scout. You could be a broadcaster, a camera operator, or a team publicist. There are myriad ways to make money in any field that you love.

But first you must decide what you would like to do. Don't let yourself be concerned about the size or audacity of your vision. As Michelangelo said, "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it."

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/04/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-2.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? (Part 1)

What do you want to accomplish in life? What do you want to experience? And what possessions do you want to acquire? In the journey from where you are to where you want to be, you have to decide where you want to be. In other words, what does success look like to you? One of the main reasons why most people don't get what they want is that they haven't decided what they want. They haven't defined their desires in clear and compelling detail. They don't know what they want …

MAKE AN "I WANT" LIST

One of the easiest ways to begin clarifying what you truly want is to make a list of 30 things you want to do, 30 things you want to have, and 30 things you want to be before you die. This is a great way to get the ball rolling. Another powerful technique to unearth your wants is to ask a friend to help you make an "I Want" list. Have your friend continually ask, "What do you want? What do you want?" for 10 to 15 minutes, and jot down your answers. You'll find the first wants aren't all that profound. In fact, most people usually hear themselves saying, "I want a Mercedes. I want a big house on the ocean." And so on. However, by the end of the 15-minute exercise, the real you begins to speak: "I want people to love me. I want to express myself. I want to make a difference. I want to feel powerful" ... wants that are true expressions of your core values.

(these contents are extracted from article written by Jack Canfield posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wealthdiscovery.blogspot.com/2007/04/what-do-you-want-in-life-part-1.html' title='WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE? While at port, an American tourist complimented a Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

"Not very long," answered the Mexican. "But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs … I have a full life."

The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge enterprise."

"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican. "Twenty, perhaps 25 years," replied the American."And after that?" "Afterwards? That's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?"

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta, and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."

One could infer several things from this story. Some might see it as a justification to just accept one's life as is because wealth, success, and achievement don't really create happiness. However, some may see it differently that seeking wealth or success just for the purpose of wealth or success is fruitless, because the achievement will not contribute to your happiness. Before setting out to achieve a goal, make sure that the goal is one that will truly add to your happiness. As for the fisherman in the story, he already had the happiness he desired, and, therefore, spending more time in that place was the best use of his time.

So, have you asked yourself the simple question:

Is the goal you set, the one that truly bring you happiness you desired?

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

Do you have a target to aim for?

There is this young lady who is the world champion in open water swimming. She has this vision of becoming the first woman in the world to swim across the strait between her island country and the main continent. For the next 6 months, she trains hard and make sure she is well prepared for 3 months to get herself physically and mentally ready for the challenge.

Finally, comes the day for her to stamp her present in the records book. It is a cold and winding morning with thick mist and rough water when she plunges into the water. The mist was so thick that they hardly can see anything ahead of them. Her coach, mother and her sister ride on a boat and follow closely beside her. For the first 3 hours, it was tough where she has to swim against the current and beating the cold. She was so tired and exhausted that she looks back at her coach and tell him that she is too tire to carry on and would like to come abroad. Her coach tells here that her stroke is still good and strong and persuaded her to continue. So she bites her lips and continues to swim.

After another 2 hours. Once again, she feel her muscle straining and so tired and stress that she turns her back and requested her coach to pull her in. Once again, her coach convinced her to continue. SO she continues for another 1 hrs, and finally she ran out of breath and strength at that point. She once again, turns back and demanded her coach to bring her in. This time, she refused to listen and will not want to continue. Without any choice, he coach and family put her into the boat.

As they settling her down in the cabin and moving the boat forward, appear in front of them was the shore of the continent. Covered by the thick mist, she has failed to notice that she is only 200m from the continent shore.

How can a man reach his goal if he can’t see?

No matter how well prepared and how well knowledgeable he is, he can never reach and achieve his plan if he do not have a clear sight on his target. He will get lost on the way and easily quite when tough gets tougher. It is important that every important thing we do, we need to know where the ends are? It is the quest for knowledge. It is the desire to learn more, do more, accomplish more and help those who want to learn that drives us …. and money is just the score, measure to tell us how we are doing. Money is the celebration of success, just as the lack of money is the reminder that we need to learn more. Just as a traveler watches for mile marker, I look at money simply as a maker – a marker that measures the journey and distance traveled.

-- Robert Kiyosaki , Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad and, Co-Author of Why We Want You To Be Rich

Successful people never stop learning. The only time we stop learning is when we are 6 inches under the earth.

Sharing your knowledge and experience with as many liked minded people as possible is one of the best way to learn more. By willingly share your experience; you also open more opportunity to learn more new experience from others. More knowledge you will gain as you share them with others.

The law of sowing is the law of giving,
You need to first give before you can receive.
The more you are willing to give the more you will receive.

If you want to learn more, start sharing more often.

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

How to Earn the Money You Want By Doing What You Love (Part 7)

Secret #6 - Find A Mentor To Accelerate The Process

If you have taken all the five steps I have mentioned in my last few blogs, you will see yourself changing in mentally on how your view your future, how you look at events that happened around you. You may notice things which you previously did not. You see your own attitude changes, becoming positive and active, and showing interest on events leading to your goal. You are doing what you love and enjoy every minutes of it.

One way of speeding up the process of achieving you goal is to find a mentor. A mentor is someone who are able to provide you guidance along the journey. He will be there when you needed a helping hand to cross a roadblock you meet along the way.

Below is what Andy Fuehl, author of audio CD, Wealth Without a Job, said about having a mentor:

Having a mentor is key. I asked many times, and some successful people turned me down, but others said yes. In fact, Dolf de Roos, New York Times bestselling author of Real Estate Riches, is now a good friend and business partner. All because I asked. I also provided value to my mentors by offering to do things to help them make more money and be more successful. Providing value is easy. You have a unique talent, and others will be grateful to you.
I encourage you to find a mentor to help you. Find someone who has achieved what you want and ask that person for help. You will be glad you did.

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

How to Earn the Money You Want By Doing What You Love (Part 6)

Secret #5 - Who You Associate With, Determines Your Financial Results

The people you associate with regularly actually determine your financial results. Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) refers these associates as mastermind alliance. Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) refers to the six people you spend the most time with. Brian Tracy (Thinking Big) refers them as master mind group. Your financial annual income will equal to the average of the six closes associates you spend most of your time with.

Now, I'm not suggesting that you dump your friends and family today. They love you and want only the best for you. However, if your friends and family are negative, consider spending less time with them. Find new friends who are upbeat and positive and make the kind of money you want. When you associate yourself with people who are more successful, you begin to start thinking the way they do, and, before you know it, you will be earning lots of money too.

Andy Fuehl, author of audio CD, Wealth Without a Job has these to say on master mind group:

When I started my journey to success, I didn't realize this key step. Once I did, I started to associate with people who are wealthy and positive. The results speak for themselves. You may think, "Why would a wealthy person want to associate with me?" Wealthy people - from my perspective - are the most giving people around. They remember where they came from and are willing to give back. If you are serious about your success - and I'm sure you are, otherwise you wouldn't have read this far - then wealthy people will help you as well. All you have to do is ask. When you ask and are sincere, wealthy people will help you.

You start evaluate the people in the group you currently spend the most time with. Start eliminate those people whom you think have either do not help or have negative influence in achieving your goal. Of those people you have short listed, select the six people to be the member of your master mind group. They are people with upbeat and positive mental attitude, and generate the kind of positive energy whenever you are with them. These are the people which you plan to spend most of your time with. To be successfully fulfill your goal and passion, you need support and direction when you are lost or down. Life is a rollercoaster, there are ups and there are downs. Life is like walking through a series of corridors with junctions, closed doors and corners which we need to make decision and selections. Your master mind group will assist in making the right decisions and selections.

Rich people associate with positive successful people; poor people associate with negative unsuccessful people.
-- T. Of all the wealth generation tools you can find in this world, our mind is the most useful and most powerful of all. Best of it all, it is free of charge. We must be careful of how we utilize this power by understanding how the mind works. If you think in negative terms, you will get negative results. If you think in positive terms, you will achieve positive results.

A person who is thinking about a concrete and worthwhile goal is going to reach it, because that's what he's thinking about. Conversely, the person who has no goal, who doesn't know where he's going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety, fear, and worry will thereby create a life of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry. And if he thinks about nothing ... he becomes nothing.

Andy Fuehl, author of audio CD, Wealth Without a Job mentioned on this articles on using your mind positively:

Everything starts in thought. And as Zig Ziglar puts it: "If you aren't getting what you want, you may have some stinking thinking."

Zig is right on the money. Your results (and that means every result you get) are nothing more than a reflection of what's going on inside your mind. If you are achieving great results, that means you have great thinking. However, if your results are not so good, you are getting exactly what you are thinking about.
Let me explain how this works. Donald Trump at one time lost everything he had and then some. He went deep into debt after having millions. It was an unfortunate time for Donald.

Instead of giving up and becoming a homeless person, he regrouped and came back in a few short years even wealthier and more powerful than ever. How did he achieve this? It was his thinking. He thinks like a billionaire. Poverty and being wiped out don't even cross his mind.

A big mistake that most people make is that they give up when the going gets tough, and say things like,"It's too hard" or "Money doesn't matter that much." These are nothing more than excuses.

But why do we have so many excuses? It is our conditioning! You have been programmed to think like a poor person instead of a rich person. Before you start blaming everyone around you, especially your parents, remember: It's nobody's fault. All those around you did the best they could with what they had. They couldn't give you what they didn't have.

I could blame my parents for my problems, but the truth is, they didn't have rich thinking to give me when I was struggling. The only thing they knew how to do was go get a job and work for someone else.

There is a bright side to this ...

You can change your thinking by reading good books, by listening to empowering tapes and CDs. Stop watching TV and listening to the radio with all that negative garbage! Fill your mind with things that will help improve your life. If you think watching Jerry Springer or soap operas on a regular basis is good for your mind, then there are only two words I have for you: You're Broke!

You know that what you feed your body is important. If you eat junk, you will feel terrible. Imagine eating McDonald's three times a day for the next 30 days. Do you think your body will have some adverse affects? You bet. The same holds true for your mind. You must feed your mind empowering material in order to succeed.

Listen to or read empowering material every single day for at least 30 to 60 minutes per day. You can listen to great tapes and CDs in your car while you drive. You can read a little bit before you go to bed or when you first get up. When you do this, you feed your mind, and soon your will produce much better results.

What you think is real is your reality. Whatever you think and say is real becomes your reality. It was this ability to expend your reality that ultimately made you wealthy. – Robert Kiyosaki

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

How to Earn the Money You Want By Doing What You Love (Part 4)

Secret #3 - Fire Your Boss Slowly

Will it be nice to just wake up tomorrow, go to office and fire your boss right away? However, we do have bills that need to pay! We definitely do not want to set ourselves up for failure, do we.
Of course not.

In order to be successful in doing what we are passionate about, whether is to start a business, to start an income generating investment or even to serve a full time charitable board, is not to quite your job right away. The secret is to stay on with your current job while working on your passion part time, even if is only 30 minutes a day. The important is to work on your passion consistently. This is the part that most people will find it challenging. Consistency is the key. Planning a regular routine to work on your passion. The more consistent you are, the faster you become successful.

So, when can you quite your job?

You quite your job only when your income from your business or investment is greater than your earned income. By this time, you are most likely spending more time on your passion than your job. Your full time job has become part time and you no longer can afford to take away time that you could be spending on your passion.

When you get to this point and actually quit your job, you have now removed the lid on your income. The only limitation is your imagination.

Remember: If you can imagine it and believe it, you can achieve it!

What ever the mind of man can conceived and believed can be achieved. – Napoleon Hill

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)

How to Earn the Money You Want By Doing What You Love (Part 3)

Secret #2 - Do Work You Love and Get Paid Well

You do not need to and must not quit your job tomorrow and dive into moneymaking opportunity to become a successful entrepreneur or an investor. There are many people who actually quite their job just to dive into a current trend in the market. Regardless is a booming real estate business, a bull stock market investment or a trendy internet marketing business. Any of these can create millions in short time.

Sure you have heard your friends become a real estate agent and make a fortune, your neighbors invest in the bull stock market and found gold, or ex-collogues making millions in the internet. I am sure you have heard all these and more. The truth is they all work. But the bad news is they don’t work for everyone.

As what written by Andy Fuehl, author of audio CD, Wealth Without a Job:

The key to being a successful entrepreneur is to find your true purpose in life. This is your passion, something that you would actually do for free. Now this may seem counterintuitive. And you're right; it is. Most businesses fail because the person who started the business gave himself or herself a job. That person went into business to make money instead of doing what he or she was passionate about. Do you know anyone like this?

I work with clients all the time, and not doing what they're passionate about is the number one problem that I see constantly. The amazing part is, when you find your true passion and express your true purpose in life, it is as if you cannot fail.

Let me give you an example of this. I had a client, Ray, who went into real estate investing. In the hottest market ever, he managed to lose $70,000. He was in a lot of trouble. He came to me and asked me what he was doing wrong. I looked at the system he was using, and it was a good system. After digging a little bit deeper, I discovered that he went after the money instead of after his passion.

As soon as Ray discovered his purpose in life and followed his passion, within six months he was out of debt and making lots of money in his new business. His new business was selling healthcare products through a network marketing company. It was as if he could not fail.
I, too, had a similar experience after being downsized. I thought that by using the skills I had developed in my corporate career, I could become financially free in my own business. Guess again. I failed miserably. In fact, it took me several failed businesses to discover the problem.
Once I focused on my true passion, which is so different from what I used to do, I went from being unemployed to being a millionaire in less than three years. This is not to impress you, but to impress upon you that doing work you love is absolutely a must in order to succeed.

Therefore it is important that we must find what are we passionate about and where can we find them. By locating our passion, we can then explore the possibilities of turning that into a business or investment opportunity.

Andy concluded, “When you do what you love, you will be enthusiastic and you will succeed! “

Losers focus a lot on what they don’t want in life, rather than be specific with what they do want. What Winners do is focus on what they want in life. – Robert Kiyosaki

So the next question you may asking will be, "If I have found my passion and decided to pursuit, how am I going to pay the bills if I need to quit my job and start my own business or investment plan ?"

(Some of these contents are extracted from article written by Andy Fuehl posted in Nightingle Newsletter)
