LeSportsac is a brand which was purchased by the Accessory Network Group in the last half of 2005. After this LeSportsac became huge and stores selling their bags and accessories were opened in twenty countries all over the globe, from America to Japan to Saudi Arabia. Autumn of 2008 brings with it a whole new collection of Le Sport Sac bags. Some of them are grab bags, some rucksacks and there are even some carry cases involved. One of our personal favourites from the spring collection was the adorable draw string totes which come in plain chocolate brown or with a ditsy blue, grey and red floral/star pattern. The new collection is a little less focused on the cutesy stuff and more on the essential day grab bag in all its nylon glory. The navy blues, khaki greens and neutral beiges all fit in very well with this season’s fashionable colours and we can certainly see how a neutral rucksack with the gold fastenings and chains would go so well with a deep purple thick jumper.

Some of the tote Le Sport Sac – Stella McCartney bags also feature her signature zip detail on the front, so she’s bringing some of her own collection into the Le Sport Sac range. The English fashion designer most known for bringing revolutionary and somewhat radical designs and trends has to be Vivienne Westwood. When she met Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren in the early seventies her career as a fashion designer rocketed and she became well known for her punk style clothing ranges.Today Vivienne Westwood handbags usually either reflect that anarchistic trend or classic sophistication (like the white Pier bag with diamond patches and gold hardware) but are slightly more subdued. One very close contender for the role of Vivienne’s most attractive bag is her tartan jasmine bag which is set to be huge this autumn and winter season. Still carrying on that tartan style pattern but with a huge range of colours, this bag is incredibly unique. It’s delicately and very precisely folded and sewn at the front to look almost like a tie, or a scarf thrown across someone’s shoulder. The pink leather top handles still manage to keep a sense of formality even when other colours within the material are pale blue, hot pink, yellow, pale green, purple, red and a green tinted navy. Of course, the bag features a tiny delicate Vivienne Westwood bag with silver logo at the top, which matches the silver zip.

There are a number of things that make this bag fabulous; the colours, the print, the shape and the style of the folds, and they’re all contributing factors into why it’s going to be so huge in the coming months.
