newbie in SEO/SEM

SEO....Search Engine Optimization......this is the new terminology in the world of marketing, one of the marketing strategies that a webmaster must have in order for him/her to be able to make his web site visible and also to be at the top-most pages of the popular websites such as Yahoo, Google, etc.

Basically, trying to find and get links, especially backlinks from other websites with high PR like one of the SEO consultant had stated on his web site, although Google's PR is just one of the applications of link popularity but not the same as link popularity, we can find other tools that can help a webmaster find more links from other sites which can be done either manually or automatically.

But even though, SEO is very much the new buzzword, and it is very crucial for new businesses or new web sites, it is still very uncommon to find it cheap, it is not cheap and if you want to do it yourself, you still have to use most of your time finding the best tools out there, some of the are okay but not reliable enough. But every webmaster must be knowledgeable about SEO in order to tweak their web sites and also to be more popular...speaking of popularity, bloggers everywhere want to get traffic, earn revenue from their blogs and also to get popular on the web, that is why using SEO under Search Engine Marketing is very important.
I am abit left behind in this whole SEO thingy but I am sure that it is useful for any blogger that is willing to share their thoughts and find links from other searchable websites.
I am still a newbie though and I am still learning about SEM, it is very expensive if you are looking for a SEO consultant and it is very encouraging if you find articles and blogs about SEO.
Although, critics have complained that a high PR doesn't deduce that the site has a high link popularity. You can't conclude that your links have alot to do with your PR status, but your PR tells alot about your site indexes and meta tag crawlers that the search engines use. If you site is not searchable, no PR and if it has no meta tags, no PR maybe...ask the profesionals!

There is a lot more to find out about SEO, and I am still trying to understand how it works....without the whole gaga about it being protrayed by the consultants online..... still a newbie...and just my own cup of coffee!

....................of viruses and cheaters.....!!!

There is a saying that "you never know until you experience it first!"

I felt outta place for the first time, my dear PC was affected with Rontokbro virus or was it email worm, an Indonesian creation, damn.... it was really a shock to me because I was busy with my final year project and I never realised that my PC was affected, so i never did any back-up(stupid of me) and I went to see my folks in town and came back to find my PC was affected, gosh.... I thought of nothing but distress until help came...but no... not that reliable... cheated again... by a so-called technician who replaced my CPU with a bad fan and motherboard... what is the worse that could happen? my PC broke down completely, thank God for small miracles, I got my project out of my hard disk and I am now using a laptop for the time being... hmm... I dunno whatelse to say, I paid that lying cheating #&#& RM50 and all he could do was return my PC in the worse condition....I felt like kickin some ###% but I restrained my anger..... maybe for the mean time..

Anyways, life is full of ups and downs... and that is why we win some and lose some...but nothing goes for free... thats life...(gosh...i sound pathetic!)

Back to my project again....till... God knows when....miss ma peeps...take care!

ehem.............

Its been quite a while that I blogged and it never occurred to me anyway that it is important ( duh...) but anywayz, its good to be back in the bloggerhood.... howdy everyone?!

I have been caught up with studies and fun and holiday... yup, and now I am in my last year in the university... it feels strange sometimes, yeah it certainly does! Day in, day out, weeks go by, months and years and I am finally seeing the end of the tunnel and I wish i could go back to my first year, weird huh? well not really, its like drinking coffee early in the morning and you dont want to gulp it all down, you want to savour every slurp of your coffee whether black or white...

But anywayz, I am glad that I am gonna get through it all this year.. I am happy and grateful to God for helping me through, for making me see the light through the darkness and for making my university days a wonderful time for me. And I am glad to have known alot of people through my years in this university and beyond....

Well, I didnt follow the African Nation Cup matches... I knew Nigeria's Super Eagles wont grab the only opportunity but then I am quite impressed by the goalkeeper, he is very good and I hope all will be alright( ehem....!) anywayz.... not my cup of coffee to say but being a nigerian and crazy bout football is something else altogether..... eventhough it is normal but to me, I only watch football whenever my "aint-true-lovable team" ARSENAL plays.... they are pissing me off also... I cant belive that we are down... what a life!!!

Anywayz..... life goes on...... hopefully... we get to see more better days ahead.... the best is yet to happen but I am sure everyone will have a wonderful time ..................ciaoz

Its been a while since I have blogged..... cos I was bugged down with "acada", what else, okie running up and down... not hustling though.. just the usual stuffs that you never know why you are doing it but you just do it cos of the love of socialising.... hmm...(sorry no "owanbes" parties in M'sia!!!)

Anywayz... I have been using Firefox for like.... umm.. cant remember when I downloaded it but it seems like ages... and whenever I found myself using another peep's PC and he or she doesnt have Firefox, I always grumble inside my brain.. damn... I wont enjoy surfing the net, but I dont even use IE except those website that are not Firefox-friendly, some websites dont even want to know it exists but I think this is the best of the best... ok... maybe I am exaggerating but I just love Firefox... thats why I felt like blogging about it... Its all bout the loving baby....lolz

Anywayz.... technically, IE still gots room for improvement, I tried using Opera but I dont fancy it much... still trying to figure how it makes me tick, cos it doesnt, IE needs to "improve and expand"... whatever that means... I am not a techie...so dont blame me if I cant start writing all those things that IE isnt.... so.. folks... hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.... yup, and I hope some of you didnt forget my turkey... make it a"turkey sandwich".. lol...

hullo...

I am now back to the student mode...thanx to all the net surfing I did since yesterday but I realised that whenever I am chatting with my peeps, and I decided to blog, they always think I am ignoring them(which I am doing intentionally!) but if I tell them that I am blogging, they freak out or ask me billions of questions , well, I do try to explain but seriously, most of the people still dont know about blogging, some do chat on messengers and interact in online forums, but blogging? nah, some dont get the idea of them writing their personal thoughts on the net(it freaks me out also), and people will have to make comments on their thoughts, hmm...serious issues, when you are blogging about your bad boss or trying to bad-mouth your government...it can ruin your blog or your life...well..atleast you will get the fame online, but still, some people dont want to blog cos they think its just a waste of time, except of cause to us,computer-addicted....like drugs..we want to grab every opportunity that the internet is giving and earn some dough if possible(still trying to sign up for the Adsense but it is giving me problems!). Well...what will I do without blogging... I have a diary(offline, or hardcopy), since I started having love(or lust) for the opposite sex and I wrote everything under the sun which I hope one day, I will be able to destroy(hopefully!!)...
But I love blogging, I remembered when I started blogging, I never knew what to blog about, sometimes, I got fed up about it and gave up until I started checking other blogs and chatting with other notable bloggers, and I googled everything about google which helped me alot...I am not perfect though but atleast, I do get nice comments on whatever I blog on...hahha!
I am still trying to keep my blogs interesting, hoping one day, I will try podcasting or vblog, moblog...anything that the technology is trying to push to our faces...I just wanna keep myself up to the very best of level....
PS: SOMETIMES BLOGGING CAN BE BORING....COME ON,FESS UP!

hullo....

I just finished a wonderful break.....yup..sort of...anywayz...had time to watch astro...eat mama's cooking.... sleep all i want and care.... and do nothing but think of my computer in campus.... damn... I should have a laptop and a wireless connection, broadband maybe,blog and check things out... yeah alot of things did happen for the past five weeks at home, due to CNN and BBC , i was keeping myself posted but then, i couldnt blog about it anyway... such a terrible thing, but atleast, i had to day-dream....gosh.... am I a pathetic blogger?!..... hmm... i gues not.... cleaning up all day long and putting my room in order sometimes have an effect on you....so I guess i need to stop my blabbering...ciaoz!

Apple ..... iPod....Podcasting.....Nano..... gosh... i need it.. how? i dunno but i realy need it before it gets outta range.... its just damn too phat to resist.... so damn...HOT! That new iPod, i dunno... ok.. snap back gurl... dont drool over sumthin' u cant get ur hands on...

I have to start studying which i havent cos up till today i was caught up in the world of projects and assignments... and now i felt that a big enormous rock have been lifted off my back...thats a great feeling to say cos I couldnt believe that those assignments could be a pain in the a##! Anywayz.. I have to worry for the next one-and-a half weeks for my final exams and try to pull the bull by its damn horns before the Ramadhan starts... i cant believe that i will be celebrating my bday during this holy month... oh well.... i guess that says it all!

wish me luck.....and a stress-less but sweet not crappy but rewarding not... ahh....in my.....sorry couldnt remember what i wanna write down again....bye folks!

It is a pity to Africans and Blacks alike that eventhough the Hurricane Katrina affected Americans, it really affected the Blacks the most because they are the poorest and most deprived of anything worthy in their own country, What is the diffference when in Africa, we africans suffer in the hands of our leaders and in America, the so-called SuperPower is also not taking care of its own black citizens. Most of the evacuees before the hurricanes were mostly whites and asians if to say and the ones left behind are the blacks, which the CNN is using as their movie screening everyday since the aftermath of the Hurricane. I dont blame Kanye West's outburst because he couldnt believe and no one can believe that only the Blacks are the ones that were greatly affected only just because they couldnt get enough resources to evacuate before the disaster.Check it out :: Kanye West ::
I do pray that the people that are affected will be helped now and not in a slow pace but make it quick because people are dying of hunger and diseases can spread faster in this kinda situation, not to talk of the looting and killing by the desperate people there also. May God help us all!

Last friday, I was preparing to go home for the weekend and suddenly, my friend* buzzed me with her message that she is havin a house party and she is invitin me, damn... what a bad coincidence.... so I was like hey lemme do this and go home on saturday and then somehow, my junior bro decided to stop me from going , to add insult to injury, my menstrual cramps (urgh!) decided to come knockin on my door... so no partyin without me bein in d right mood and with right mind... had to force my brain not to think of a night-long partying and just focus on my journey home.. yeah right... I love partying... just the thought of it makes me have ***** ! well... I have to study now for a test that i wish i could skip for cos i dont know why i have to study for it, but its neccessary cos i am about to finish this degree of mine and join the real world outta there.... wish me luck... anyone!

Today.. yup.. today aint my day, when we women say we have a bad hair day, you must always take us serious!(if you try to!) but today,seriously,was terrible and i feel quite moody... I went out for lunch and just as I was stepping out, the rain was dripping but I thought it will just drizzle and stop but no.... it rained, thurder stroke, the wind blew.... yup and my lunch got cold.... ahh, and I had to gobble it all up cos someone was paying for it ( aint funny lolz)... but then, i was totally wet cos I had to go to the library and with no umbrella(I dont think it would solve the problem sha!) , I had to look for shades here and there.... I am still freezing eventhough, I am all dressed up(I guess it must be the library's A.C.!) but today aint my day.... to cut it short.. I am moody man! :(

Yo...

You wont believe what happened to me last week, but then you might feel it is nothing outta ordinary but guess what it still pisses me off to think about it.. really it does.. I was checking my campus's bulletin board and this guy was like he is looking for students that have time on their side and are willign to do part-time jobs and all they need to do is email him and he will let us know if we have the job or not! I was ecstatic, i mean, this could be my chance on earning extra bucks for my upkeep, and I eagerly emailed him, and he replied telling me to come and meet him but unfortunately for me, and fortunately for him, he started talking bout NETWORK MARKETING and MLM... gosh, you cant believe the look on my face, I felt like giving him a big dirty slap... but I just sat there like a dumb foolish gurl, listening to him ramble about one exquisite product and bla blah blah.. you might have heard about LAMPE BERGER, a french company and moreover, that product is not even common here in malaysia and I have to sell that product and keep on buying it until i can become a "baron" or "duke" in that network... he kept on describing it, and i was.. like, there goes my dream of earning some extra bucks... mama and papa, i still need your dough to survive... till then, no more job interviews until my industrial training is nearby then I have to start lookign for job in this country where being black is like ....um.. never mind me.. just being too emotional today.. I really cant believe a guy like that can scam me and made me feel useless.. cos that day i was so damn sick but i was resilient on getting the "part-time job" without realising that it would never be... ahh... gosh... so much for day-dreaming....
Another sad news.. the only soulful man that I love listening to, is dead.. yeah LUTHER VANDROSS... may His soul rest in perfect peace... what a shame, why all the good singers keep on dying every year.. last year or so, it was BARRY WHITE and now, Luther... its a bad thing.. hope things will be much better... much love... and once more again... I am gonna miss him...

Yeah, I don land for campus... ahh.. what a relief.. after a long period of uncontrollable indulgence, I am now back on track... so wetin I do huh? nah, nothing much except finding me a new schoolbag.. yup, need to graduate in style cos this is my final year.. what a long road to education.. I am glad that I went through it all, and hook, sink, line, I enjoyed being a campus gurl, and for the remaining one year, I hope to gain more knowledge and i m always looking forward, never backwards.... enuf said..! //philosophy dey bore me too much, no vex!//

well, holidays always make me nervous, why? well, for the damn fact that I have to count my days at staying at home doing nothing and for the stupid fact that i always wish ti would never end and always looking forward to my busy academic life again!

I am on hols and its really boring/interesting cos I get to gain back my sanity and find peace and love in this depressed and traumatized heart of mine, poor me ... but alas I am getting goosebumps over my holiday, well, its due to the simple fact that i might never get this kinda long holiday again because this holiday ( 2 months) is due to the blah blah blah.. i dunno what! sorry bout that!

but then again, i feel good and bad, cos recently i have been wondering how it feels like to be unemployed and staying with your parents and being penniless, its not like i can get what i want from them, they still treat me like a one year old and expect me to be good always ah.. i wish they would stop doing that! but then again, its really depressing, i need to do somethign and yet my body is now getting used to the fact that i need not worry, cos i m suppose to be relaxing, well some of my pals are, in their different hometowns, gosh! never mind me.. just being emotional bout this holiday thingy!

well, there is a good news hia, Arsenal will be on the second positiona nd come may 21, they will beat MAN U down to 3 - nil! yup... you heard me right all MAN U fans outta there!... its suppose to be arsenal getting that cup but well, i guess chelsea deserve it kinda! well, to all my friends outta there, happy hols and to MBATTA BRIAN , one of the african students in my campus that had an accident and died, may his soul rest in peace! this is really a serious issues, why these happening...

Hey ya....

Just got the latest news that's making Microsoft goes alert.. yup... PHISHING is the thingy that's giving them an alarm these days because some spammers arent satisfied with spamming Microsoft, they wanna get more than they can handle and that means trouble for Microsoft lovaz.. as in , these guys go all the way to send you a "genuine" email telling you that they want to update their systems and they need you to click on the link which they gave you and if you do, all your account is gone, as in you cant shop online, damn... These people are that smart and yet all the wanna do is take over da world, in an evil way *sic* !!! Microsoft is now filing 117 phishing lawsuits against some of the phony e-commerce sites so that they can be at peace with the Hotmail users cos I once deleted an unknown email address telling me to click on the link for me to re-new my account at Barclays Bank, which is a top and popular bank which I don't have an account with, but then I just deleted it because to me it was spam, but now I am thankful that I did unless, God knows what might have happened, anywayz, to the Hotmail users, you have to be very careful about these phishers out there because most of the emails they send always goes to your Inbox and not to your Junk mail , so you might think it is a real email without realizing what danger you are in, well, lets see how Microsoft is gonna beat them up, maybe gonna get all of the bad guys and save the world for another day *sic* too much cartoon!!!
Now back to my exam.. gotta study, I need all the luck in da world to help me out cos I am so damn lazy to study and I have to if I want a high CGPA!! LOLZ... ciaozz

MLM: "Money Leaves Me" scam!!!

I dont know how to start this but then I guess I just need to blog it, It makes me worried yet makes me feel uncomfortable with life itself. Who is to blame, the scammers or the victims? Everyone just wanna be rich and some do get rich honestly while some die trying to be rich. That is why people try to find a way to get rich by all means even up till the point of putting their hard earned money into something they dont know how to get out of, because once the money is in, the devil is set to play!

In my E-commerce course of study, the term "network marketing" is only associated with business to business e-commerce but I dont know if some of the authors of the e-commerce books have tried to find out more about this term(or problem), because to individuals like me and you, network marketing is not for companies, but for people to scam and to get your money in a very tricky way! many of my colleages have tried to "persuade" me join some of their MLM that they are into, but the thing is they have been brainwashed up to the point of no return. In Naija, we all know that 419ners are quick scammers that are willing to persuade you into putting your money into their hands and vanishing from the face of the earth and even if you ever see them again, they will never want to have anything to do with you, trust me it happened to someone close to me! but here in Asia, they are more trickier and more persuasive, as I can see around me, students are persuading students to join their network in return you will get a token amount of money for every person that you too can persuade to join your downline.. yeah it is call downline and upline QUESTNET IN ASIA.. this scams are everywhere and with the internet, almost every tom, dick and harry wants you to join their network and you cant joinf ro free, nothing is free in this world, you need to pay an amount and you need to buy some of their tools and inreturn, you need to attract more people, if you fail to do so, you will lose money and you might get kicked out in the process of you being unproductive. this is what MLM is all about, thanks to my good friends out there that made me see the light before I jumped into the bandwagon of MLM, I have decided to preach this word of advice to everyone that can read my blog, MLM is a scam, you lose more than you gain and you will never get rich in joining any company that proclaims this sort of network marketing to you. You can check a website that I read about frauds and scams, it is very interesting and informational, READ IT!!!, some of this companies that are into MLM have been banned in some Asian countries and so on... well, a word is enough for the wise...

Now back to my Web Authoring... It is really difficult to try to have time for this work because of acada, damn, maybe this long holiday will bring out the web author in me, hopefully, if I can get the time to sit down and indulge in it. have a nice day guyz, till I am free again to blog, I remain yours trully............. ciaozzz

I dont know that it has been a long time since I check ma blog and I miss my craps... hahaha, dont mind me, just trying to be funny, aiight?! Anyways, I am in class now, learning C programming and yet not that interested because I dont like C programming that much but I am giddy about it alas.. I need to learn how to control my fear of programming, It sounds so geeky,typing all about God-knows-what and you expect me to understand... umph!!

hullo palz....

"me I go yarn..." as Eldee of former Trybesmen sang,what a pity, I cant get the original song on my pc! but anywayz, yippeee... I am on holz... what a good grief, all the hollering in my campus was driving me nutz, I couldnt study, sleep even eat well because everyone seems so irritating to me, I guess I was beginning to irritate some peeps also so, I had to leave for holiday asap!
On my Web designing, my reading has lag behind because I have all the time dedicated into reading my school books for tests and assignments and extra "wahala" in my Society (www.issmmu.com) all these have made me leave the web authoring craziness for the mean time! but anywayz... I will get back on it after all my assignments and tests are done! pray I wont get burnt in the process of working damn hard!
but for now.. I have to enjoy the chinese new year... GONG XI FA CHAI to all ma chinese peeps and to everyone else!

Hmmm..

Trying to finish this book, Absolute Beginner's Guide to Creating Webpages but I guess I need to learn CSS because it keeps referring me to style sheets because XHTML is suppose to be more stricter than the normal HTML and to use the Strict typefor the XHTML , you will need to understand some basic HTML and it is just a little bit different, but I will make sure that I finish it up so that I can borrow any CSS book available in my Library for reading..

Also, I didnt get the Job from MMU-MOTOROLA which I was banking on to work
for during the long holiday, but when one door
closes, another one opens, one of my Lecturer is giving me an
article for me to "re-word" as he implied! I have to
do it during the mid-term break and also studying for all the mid term tests
that I will come back fro after the short hols.. damn, what a life for a
student! but then I think I can handle ti all, as long as I dont breakdown, who
knows... just trying to make a dent in my life, but it is a positive dent...holla back any Web authors that
are good, I need some advices from you! thanx

Hullo everyone,

I lost my pwd thats why I couldnt continue my other blog but now I have opened a new acount, pray that I never lose it again... but you can lose yourself as EMINEM always say.. yehaw.... I am back again.. but this time, its about me trying to perfect my web authoring tools, I really wanna become a web author, its cool and you just sit all the time with my PC designing websites for other people.. maybe have my own website that takes care of that.. well, my lips are sealed for now.. ciaoz
