Elementor introduced Flexbox Containers in recent updates to improve performance and offer more responsive layouts. However, this change has indeed confused many designers who were comfortable with the classic sections and columns layout.

The main differences are:

1. Containers replace sections and columns – giving more flexibility.

2. Flexbox and CSS Grid – control layout and spacing differently than the older method.

3. Column widths aren’t adjusted with traditional drag; you use Flex properties like Grow, Shrink, or Basis

How to Fix Your Current Issue

1. Adjusting Column Widths Properly in Flexbox:

In the new Flexbox system, instead of setting width percentages like before, you’ll need to adjust the Flex Basis, Grow, and Shrink properties.

Go to Container > Items (inside Elementor) and:

Set Flex Basis to the desired width (like 50%).

Set Grow to 0 if you don’t want it to auto-expand.

Set Shrink to 0 to prevent it from shrinking.

If it's not reflecting correctly, it might be a caching issue—try clearing both Elementor’s cache and your browser cache.

2. Disabling Flexbox Containers (If You Want to Use the Classic Layout):

Go to Elementor > Settings > Features.

Disable "Flexbox Container" and save.

This will revert Elementor to the old sections and columns layout.

Impact:

IF the site already has some layouts built using Flexbox, disabling this might break them. However:

you can export those layouts to avoid losing them or switch them back later.

Responsive versus Adaptive: Which one to go for?

One of the big advantages of responsive design that propelled it to instant stardom was that a single codebase served well for both the desktop and mobile user. This made a developer’s life easier as it almost eliminated the nightmarish experience of having to look after multiple code versions for different device types. However, the same code for both the devices means that the website being launched on smartphone will have the same size and complexity as the desktop version, which is the main culprit behind responsive websites behaving weird and bloated on mobile devices.

On the other hand, using an adaptive approach, a server has the freedom to choose how to optimally render pages, removing or adding functionalities on the fly, on the basis of the device detected and the user information.

The benefits can be summed up as below:

Developers wouldn’t have to recreate the website from scratch as one would have to while going for responsive site. Most websites become too complex over the time, with one functionality being added on top of the other and scratching all the effort is not a viable option. The design and testing phase is particularly fussy as it is difficult to customize the user experience for every device or context.

1. Adaptive websites are faster and sometimes more user-friendly. The reason is simple enough. As adaptive delivery works by transferring only the device specific assets, images and multimedia content can be optimized on the fly to suit display resolution and size.

2.The server-side adaptive offers distinct templates for every device, enabling greater level of customization along with faster loading of web pages. In addition, it is compatible with different server-side plugins which are available for popular content management systems and eCommerce systems such as Magento. However, this approach requires considerable changes to the back-end systems, and if you are on a budget, it could prove a little painful. You will be required to manage multiple templates which will show as a bump in the maintenance cost. Performance issues can also arise when servers are under heavy load.

Bottom Line

Content-heavy websites where there is not much of a difference in user intent between desktop and mobile users generally go for responsive design. However, if you are designing a website where the mobile user intent is significantly different than your desktop target audience, adaptive design will be a better bet. The example is e-commerce websites.

Besides, if a webmaster chooses adaptive design, he or she can further optimize the user experience by taking advantage of the extra features that these devices offer, for instance, location. That is exactly why 82 percent of the Alexa top 100 global sites use some kind of server-side detection to serve content.

For most organizations using responsive design in conjunction with adaptive delivery works well. The content heavy portion of the site uses responsive approach allowing readers to consume the content in a satisfying manner no matter which device they are on. On the other hand high intent portions of the site work well through adaptive delivery. The key is to find a balance between serving your users and meeting the business objective.

Worked on this logo from last two-three weeks, spent lots of time in research, drawing samples, designs, variation but somehow not find anything suitable and meaningful. Drawn number of superhero for the logo but not a single one fitted with my idea. Suddenly yesterday a keyword stokes on my mind and that was “supernatural”. Reason to search supernatural logos is simple because superheroes are made up with supernatural powers. So after a little bit research on supernatural logos and superheroes logo. I found what I want, found a logo with a superhero standing boldly with a round red background (symbolizing a superhero standing in front of a sun). And from there started my sketches with my superheroes and finally reached at that point where i wanted to be.

Hi, after a long time posting a new post , I know i know you guys excited to see my new business card design, Yes this is my new business card design.

About Idea
Before making my vcard, i searched lots of vcard designs, wasted lots of time to search new business card design. Got lots of idea from there, but not able to implement on my design, after doing long experiment sudden on my mind strikes and got idea to put my own picture and I did that.
In one shot I opened my famous promoted image and placed on my business card design, little played with that and finally i came to this, and after that taking few reviews (good n bad both )decided to print business card with my photo. Many of my friends and colleagues said that "Mukund this is a great idea. Go with it only !!" and other few friends putting own images is not good idea at all, they given own views on my design and i appreciated that, but finally i decided to go with my photo business card. Reasons for giving own image on business card was 1. Own photo gives a trustful thoughts. 2. Its different and not boring like other business cards.

I got very good feedback for my new business card from my clients and colleagues. Everyone appreciated my work and I am very thankful to all of them.

Repairmantra.com, a repairing service provider for the consumer with yellow and black color code, logo is too simple, there is no hard n soul concept or hidden meaning like other top logos. It is simple n general logo, designed by me, illustrate by me, n drawn by me too. Here a confident executive representing the company with a repairing tool. In the initial stage company will do basically mobile repairing service along with laptop n software servicing.

So basically i am not very much excited to post this article, because the logo is not upto the mark from my level,but you guys the right person to rate this logo. My rating is 3 out of 5.

After a long time, i got a chance to create a logo for a Career Counselling Organisation, named "UMEED".
The concept behind the logo is that there is a small plant grows under sun, get the proper nourishments, care for development and growth like as same UMEED, which helps the little children to choose the right career or right way to lead there life and many more.
Here you find the leaves are looking like a rays for sun, symbol of leaf symbolize the leaf and the rays of the sun.
I got good response from the client, they liked the logo and appreciated. There are few change they need with the typography, so after making that changes hope it will look more effective n focused.

Hi, after a long time i am posting a post for you all guys. Last two weeks was rocking and the most intresting thing is that my designed a logo named "KOLKATAMEALS.COM" is featured in www.logofury.com. The moment i got a mail from logofury team that we selected your logo for featuring in our site, I was totally surprised and became speecless to express my feelings. It was unexpected moment, i was so happy at that time that i can't express in my words. And not only my logo featured it also gets the highest vote on last week, now it's got total 13votes for me, still I am waiting for more votes.
