Yesterday we got an email from Widgetbox telling us that they re-evaluated their position concerning google ads in widgets and gadgets due to a change in the google adsense terms of services. So what does that practically mean for all the widget and gadget developers? Well, you will be able to add your widgets to the Widgetbox directory even so you have your google ads displayed in it. That offers you the alternative to finance parts of your developing process through advertisments in your widgets and gadgets.

We were quite jumpy about this news since we always considerd the Widgetbox directory as one of the most important places to submit our widgets and gadgets to. It is well structured, designed in a very appealing way and offers state of the art web 2.0 functionality for your products. Furthermore they provide a very good support, take some time to listen to your problems or whatever you have to say and in the end possibly start to re-evaluate their own position.

I can totaly recommend Widgetbox to all web 2.0 interested people, bloggers, social networkers, podcasters, feedreaders, ...
