Cutest horse I have ever seen

A pony so tiny her owner can pick her up in her arms is laying claim to the title of Britain’s smallest horse .

Lucy the four-year-old Shetland pony is just 19.5 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds.

Her owner, Sandra Ponder, 63, who runs a veterinary surgery near St Albans, Herts, owns 14 miniature ponies in total.

Lucy is still dwarfed by the group. Her ‘largest’ pet pony measures around 34 inches.

But the tiny pony loves galloping around the paddock with the larger horses in the stable.

Lucy lives in a specially made stable that is so small it looks more like a children’s wendy house.

The door measures 21 inches but little Lucy can’t quite peer over the top so she is just content to rest her head on the edge.

It is not known why the pony is so diminutive - Ms Ponder herself was shocked when the pony did not grow taller than her 19.5 inches.

She said: “I wasn’t expecting Lucy to be so small. She was about 15 inches when I got her at three months - that’s a normal size for a Shetland foal.

“Like all Shetlands, Lucy stopped growing at two years old and I was shocked to find she was so small.

“She’s not your average Shetland pony - I’ve never seen anything like her before.”

Ms Power says Lucy is perfectly proportioned - apart from her mane and tail, which grow so fast Sandra says the little horse bears a striking resemblance to Tina Turner if they are not trimmed back.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the smallest horse in the world is Thumbelina - a 17 inch horse born on a farm in St Louis, America.

Unlike Lucy, Thumbelina’s size has been put down to dwarfism - her legs are not in proportion with her body and so the tiny horse has to wear orthopaedic fittings to straighten them.

107 Year Old Bulb Still Shining Brightly

LIVERMORE, Calif.,– A 107-year-old light bulb in California has been deemed by Guinness World Records and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not as the word’s longest-ever burning bulb.

The low-watt rarity has been burning nonstop in the Livermore, Calif., Station No. 6 firehouse since 1901, the Los Angles Times reported Monday.

“This fragile thing that wasn’t meant to last has outlived the company that made it, people who first screwed it in, people who have written about it and who have kept watch over it,” said Edward Meyer of Ripley Entertainment.

The bulb even has its own web-cam and a Web site named centennialbulb.org, which is viewed a million times each year, the Times said.

It is reported many people think the bulb has burned so long because it is never switched off.

99 balloons for Elliot

Elliot Hartman Mooney is suffering from a disease trisomy 18 or commonly called edward's syndrome. This video was taken two months before elliot is born. The doctor said that most likely he won't make it to birth. and he was their first child. They celebrate his birthday at 4:59 everyday, the time he was born. He was connected to some tubes in order for him to survive and fed every three hours and that takes an hour and a half with his parents take turns with feeding schedules.

This movie clip touched my heart. It made me shed tears seeing all the sacrifices, care and love of Elliot's parents for him. Truly, a parent's love incomparable and has no limits. God is showing His love in mysterious ways. and having Elliot was a miracle and a grace from God's love.. Elliot will always be remembered by the people who loves him and now that he's with Jesus in heaven, i know he will always be happy up there... :)

Fast Cars - The American Muscle

In the 1960s there was a class of cars introduced to the world known as muscle cars. These cars were sleek and sporty and contained a powerful engine. Most of these cars boasted a V8 engine which was geared for speed. As these cars were produced the manufacturers were in stiff competition with each other. As each manufacturer tried to out do the other, we were led into an era of some of the fastest cars of our time. With no thought to gas and fuel efficiency, Americans seemed to be having the time of their lives. Their cars were fast and eye-catching, both on the road and on the race track. Racing stripes and flashy decals made a statement about both the car and the driver. It seemed the flashier the car the more desirable.

At a time when the luxury automobile was the king of the road for the married set, the younger crowd wanted something smaller, faster, and sportier. The Shelby Mustang and the 440 Roadrunner are two of the fast cars which were built to satisfy the desire for high performance and speed. There were many more fast cars to come. Camaros, Chargers, GTOs, and Firebirds all tried to pack as much punch under the hood as was possible. Corvettes offered speed and sleek style, but they also had a high price tag. Most of the other high performance cars offered a price that was affordable to the average working class people.

The Fuel Effect

During the 1960s and 70s auto manufacturers were riding high on a wave of speed and performance. Then we entered an era where we were told gas was in short supply and we were destroying the ozone with our extravagant auto emissions. We reluctantly let go of our fast and sporty cars and took to the streets with a V6 and even a V4. Gas mileage and cheaper insurance costs forced the fast cars onto the race track and off the roadways.

The desire for speed will be with us always. We will probably never again see a time when speed and high performance engines are sold for the every day street car but we can get a glimpse of these cars at the raceway or at vintage car shows. The baby boomers were around to see these cars at their inception and they still carry a torch for them today. Many will spend a small fortune to restore one of these original fast cars back to their former splendor.

Most lovers, adults and teenagers, celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14 every year which is also being celebrated this month. We spend our time together with our loved ones and express our feelings freely to one another by giving gifts and to make it more romantic, by surprising them with unique gifts. But the usual and common gifts we know and guess what? Flowers and chocolates. Sound familiar? But even though your gift to her was flowers and chocolates every year, it doesn't matter because as we always say "it's the thought that counts", "but I need cash". No just kidding. To give a little more spice to your intimate relationship that would add points and make it memorable, here are some things you might consider. Googles Android Platform Software on Mobile Phones

Google Android phones make debut

The first mobile phones to be loaded with Google's Android software for mobile phones have gone on show.

About a dozen companies such as ARM, Texas Instruments and Qualcomm showed off prototype handsets at the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The free software system was launched in November 2007 and is being developed by an alliance of more than 30 companies including Google.

The first Android-enabled phone is expected to go on sale later this year.

One firm showing off a prototype phone was the UK processor designer ARM.

"It's really a demonstration vehicle rather than a full phone," Ian Drew of ARM told BBC News.

However, he said the wireless phone did show off several applications.

"What we are demonstrating on the Android platform is maps, browser, camera applications, multimedia, e-mail, and calendar - basically everything you'd expect on a mobile phone."
