STEP 1 :
Add more & more articles to your blog or website , it will help your website to be enlisted in good page rank(PR) in search engines.If your website is dynamic means new articles are added in a regular basis then major search engines like google will give importance to your site & it will come in the 1st or 2nd page in the search results.We know that most of the visitors in the Internet use search engines to go to any website.So good page rank will increase your traffics & obviously it will help you to make more money.

STEP 2 :
The main reason behind traffics is quality content.If your articles are of good quality & unique, it will definitely attract visitors to your website.

STEP 3 :
Tell your friends relatives about your website/blog & request them to go to your website. Advertise your website by giving e-mail or by phone to friends, distance relatives They definitely will be the first phase of traffics to your website.

STEP 4 :
Submit your website's url to different search engines like google,yahoo, msn etc.Even submit url to small search engines too. Because it will also drive some traffics.Never neglect them.

STEP 5 :
Think about different famous web directories like dmoz.Web directories are very good source of traffics.If it is a blog ,then you must submit it to technorati,weblogs etc.

STEP 6 :
Take active participation in various forums & discussions.Tell the forum members about your website & it's content.Before you do this, you mustn't forget to read the rules & guidelines of the forum.

STEP 7 :
Participate in different link exchange programs. It is either one way or reciprocal. But first try for one way link exchange program. More the link exchange, the more your web site's page rank(PR) in search engines. But carefully choose link exchange programs that match to your topics.

So your money earning through contextual ads mainly depends on two things.First one, the more clicks by the visitors on your blog & second one, the click rate i.e how much the advertiser will pay per click.Click rate may vary from $0.10 to $3.00 depending on your blogs popularity, page rank & traffics.For example, if your blog is very popular in North American countries, then the advertising companies from North America will pay you even $3.00 or more for one click on their ads.So you can earn more money for a single click.

In targeted ads, the advertiser will directly offer you to display their ads in your blog.You will be paid a fixed amount for displaying the ads for a certain period irrespective of any no. of visitors. So you can negotiate with the advertisers about the amount.To get targeted ads, your blog must be more popular.

4.DESCRIPTIVE ADS

Google AdSense is one of the most popular free to join contextual advertising program.When you join Google AdSense, they offer you to publish it's own or third-party advertisements on your websites, in return Google will pay you some money on CPC (cost per click) or on CPM (cost per thousand impression) basis.
