Ever wanted to create a photo gallery that would fetch the photos from a folder on the server without actually taking the image paths from a database? Well, here's a small code snippet that would solve the problem for you and output the paths to the images into an XML with the following structure:CODE: <gallery>

</gallery> If you have any questions regarding it, or encounter any issues implementing it in your own project,...
I believe you have been through this as I have. You can barely find a palette suitable for a site. Any site. We all know that finding the right colours is not an easy task, as they have to match perfectly, be complementary colours and please the eye. Colours can change moods, emotions and influence behaviours of the visitors, but also reflect and identify the personality of a brand.Warm coloursRed - is one of the most powerful colours, attracting the eye. Red symbolizes passion, fire and love. It has been proven that it can raise blood pressure and cause perspiration.
Author: Avadanei Andrei - Published date: 13-04-2011
We all know how annoying it is to just wait too long for a website to load. Some studies show that 75% of the people visiting a website that loads more than 4-5 seconds will not visit it again. I believe that the best method to check the time of your website load is to use several locations that comprise the niche in which they activate. Also, checking the timeload can be done manually too, by using certain extensions, such as Firebug for Mozilla Firefox that will tell you the timeload of the website page only for that specific site. This method would require your presence in several locations around...
A very big problem in our statistics, in addition to traffic, conversion, returning visitors, etc.. is the bounce Rate. The smaller the better. But...What is bounce rate?Bounce Rate (also known as the output %) is a term that is used to analyze traffic and quality. We define a "bounce" when a visitor leaves a page (one site) without visiting other pages during a browsing session. This session differs from a monitoring system to...
Continuing on the same topic as before, when I wrote about CSS minifying and compression, a major improvement can be done on HTML as well, but it's a bit trickier. Simply removing white spaces from an HTML document can lead to problems in the way the document itself is displayed, validation errors and tons of other problems. Still, HTML gzip compression should take out most of the whitespace, so we could maybe just consider stripping comments. Still, make sure that there's no bit of code, Javascript especially, that relies on some HTML comments, as that will obviously break them. ...
