A business card is designed to introduce a company to a company’s potential clients, the brochure provides a detailed introduction to the products, price and packaging of an enterprise and a logo design represents a company to the best of its ability.

A brand mark comes with incomparable benefits for a business especially for jewelers. A jewelry logo design provides massive exposure to this business if its drawn in accordance with the nature of the business you are running. You cannot use a business card on your brochure and your brochure on the business card but yes, you can employ your business identity on both the marketing scheme. This unprecedented quality gives them an edge over other marketing maneuvers.

How to come up with alluring design concepts?

Think hard, what type of jewelry you normally design? There must be something or some quality that sets you apart from the rest. No one can answer this but your own self. You might overlook the USP (Unique selling proposition) of your shop as sometimes you yourself don’t know what are your unique aspects and talents. It can also be something that you do as a habit and therefore, not realizing its importance.

I mean if your shop is a cash cow as compared to the rest of the shops in the neighborhood then there must be something which is alluring the customers to step in to your shop. Once you have noticed that different thing in you then you can easily come up with a perfect design for your shop.

There are various symbols that can be used to illustrate different types of services that a jeweler can provide. For instance; if you will show a gold chain loose at both ends in the brand mark then it will portray your ability to design different types of jewellery with ease but this will be only done when you are adept in these services.

The name of the shop can be used effectively in the brand mark to tell the viewers about it because simplicity always speaks for itself. Therefore, the name of your shop in your gems logo must not be difficult for the viewers to understand otherwise it would result into other complications. Use of clear and simple fonts is another key to show off your business name to the potential buyers but using them in a way that looks stylish as well is a true art which I think can only be handled by a professional graphic designer.

Showing different parts of lavishly designed necklaces, pendants, bangles, gem-sets, lockets etc will do the best but it will show your limited theme of work. On the other hand, it might be your USP as well; therefore, this problem can easily be solved with the help of a professional graphic designer because he knows his art better than the others and as he is trained and specialized in this field, he will not find it difficult to deal with the design hindrances.

Hence, to come up with a mish mash of colorful graphical representation is very easy but to come up with a brand mark is difficult. Think about it!

Because of the interaction of server side java applications java programming is chosen over other hosting facilities. JSP hosting is one among the fastest web hosting options available in the web.

There are some factors that must be taken into consideration while choosing a good JSP hosting company
• First find out your hosting requirements

• The host servers should be configured properly so that they get site to server to user series

• You may take time to chose which company is the best but read carefully the details and terms and conditions of each company and then proceed further

• Read the customer comments carefully if there is any fault with the company we might see that in those comments

• Most of the webhosting companies give a 99.99 percent availability assurance for your website but the loading speed and other factors should also be taken into consideration

• An important factor is the amount you have to pay to the web hosting company , you must ensure that you will receive the services worth your amount

• You should check that there are no banners or advertisements will be placed in the website

• Ask for a detailed proposal from the web hosting company so that you can compare it with other companies in the market

• Disk space , band width are two important features that has to be taken into consideration

• Check about the consumer support of the webhosting company. The consumer support should be ready to answer your questions and should give you the most elegant solution

• If you have not much money to spare look for a multi deal that will satisfy you companies needs as much as possible

• Always see the reputation of the company and the number of java applications that was hosted by the company

• If you are not much proficient in java programming then go to a hosting company which will help you to make your website better

• Always check the bandwidth which your website requires and see carefully the bandwidth allotted to you by the company

• Always see the type of OS because if you want Linux hosting then go for those companies which have experience in Linux hosting and those which work with Linux

An outdoorsy look has invariably been the part of this service’s brand identity which takes a viewer on the new horizons of nature.

The main objective of creating a landscape logo design is to maximize the exposure of a business. Therefore, there are certain things that one should consider while designing such business identities because only then one would be able to reap the rewards.

If you are in this business and you are planning to go for a representative then you must read on the following article which will give you some useful tips to come up with a complete marketing and advertising solution.

Outdoorsy look definitely pay off:

As mentioned earlier, it will be great if it has an outdoorsy look to provide a soothing and relaxing experience to the viewers. Green is not always necessary for such beauty brand marks instead you can use cold and snowy picture to show beauty. Moreover, the pictures of spring, winter and autumn season can be alluring for the viewers as well. Butterflies, rolling hills and trees will do well to portray the beauty of nature. All in all, outdoorsy look always work when it comes to such corporate identities.

Earth colored toned will do better:

Let me tell you first what earth toned color scheme are? These are derived from the colored palette of brown, green, tans, orange, white and some red. In short, every color that reminds you of natural colors found in moss, trees, rocks and soil are called as earth colored tone. Again the use of this color palette will make you experience natural earth’s beauty that is the pivotal part of this business especially if someone is running a gardening business. Moreover, if the color palette is subtle and calming then it will definitely pay off better.

Elaborate picture view will express more:

“A picture speaks a thousand words” This phrase definitely holds true with landscape logos. Elaborative pictures will do fine for your corporate identity if it portrays the true image of your work. For instance; an expressive picture of a meadow or a lawn with manicured grass will talk to a viewer a lot. The more the scenery is simple, the more will be the chances for a viewer to keep looking at it. Simple row of trimmed bushes or yellow tulips will enhance the beauty of your brand mark identity. Use of snowfall pictures is another best idea to use in it if you have a company that deal in shoveling snow. Therefore, whatever picture you are going for, make sure it is not impertinent to your business at all.

When it comes to the nature and natural beauty, it becomes really simple to create a logo design because you just have to present the nature in an exquisite way. Thereby, try the above ideas and see how much they make a difference to your brand ambassador.

Nevertheless, these abilities alone aren’t good enough to be able to work in an online “news” source.
Imagine for a moment that you are an online newspaper or magazine editor. You need to be creative in your writings and very well informed about the content you write about. Nevertheless, these abilities alone aren’t good enough to be able to work in an online “news” source. What you do need is at least a very general knowledge on the functions and the tags of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). For example, you should be able to create codes for the presentations of your articles. The process of writing articles for the web can be very trying and exhausting, if you haven’t heard of CMS’s (Content Management Systems).

A Content Management System is nearly like a personal automated web page author. You just compose your articles, surveys, and rating systems as if you were using a word processor or a visual editing program. Using the data you put in as its drive, the CMS collects all of these in a database and then translates them into HTML. CMS fundamentally acts like a translator between you and the browsers through creating graphical interfaces which are very user-friendly.

There is generally a front-end and a back-end to CMS. Clearly, the front-end refers to the face of the site that every visitor gets to see. The back-end is the graphical interface which is user-friendly where you can change your content or the template with the aid of the many wizards that are given by these systems. For example, let’s imagine you needed to write a code for the user-upload function in the site, or a survey system that would make it possible for users to vote for your articles; you won’t have to touch Dreamweaver, Frontpage, or any kind of HTML editor at all; hundreds of modules are already written for different CMS’s. All you have to do is download the module to your server and then make the installation.

Lots of CM systems online are presented as freeware. Nonetheless, below are two ideas for various user groups;

Typo3: If you think you are a professional and can deal with some PHP coding, this sturdy, flexible system could just be what you are looking for.

Mambo: If this is a hobby and you’d rather not deal with PHP coding, then Mambo should be right for you since it does not oblige the user to change much and is already supported by lots of ready-to-install modules and templates.

Overall, CMS makes our life a lot more easy than in the past whilst making our sites a lot more attractive. Content Management Systems are the “operating systems”, personal coders and free translators of the web.

Feeling that the authoring world needed more out of HTML then a poor imitation of the printed page, the web browser makers and Internet standards bodies have been broadening the possibilities of web pages at a very fast pace. All these modifications have allowed us to make internet pages more “dynamic” – pages that can exist on their own, without any help from the server once they have been loaded onto the browser.

With websites, the editor looks, most importantly for the sturdiness and good maintenance of the site. A more static approach for web page authoring would be to simply write a different page for all the subject matter in your site and attach these pages with hyperlinks; or, by using a navigation bar in the main page. Although it seems easy, when it comes to add some new content or change the general look of the site, it will be very difficult for you to change each and every page, whilst editing the code.

Using a more dynamic code, you use the database as the base of your web site. What you choose to insert into this database completely depends on what you actually need for your pages; usernames and associated passwords or articles that you are going to use as your content as well as pictures, files, or anything that you can think of. This database can be used as storage for the elements that will help you construct this site.

However, note that it won’t be you building the pages; it will be the PHP, ASP and PERL code that you have written or bought. What is left for you is to draw up a “plan” for the data driven code so that it can place the building elements that are kept on your database. This plan will be the template for the site which is usually produced using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Dynamic HTML (DHTML). Once you load your site to your browser, the dynamic pages will “interact” with the user and come up with the HTML pages rather than taking the user from one page to the next by using hyperlinks.

Considering all this, it is obvious that Dynamic Websites seem like the future of the Internet. It saves a lot of time and effort for the webmasters and the users too, as well as less frustration with waiting for pages to load, whilst visiting a simple site with an interesting article with many pages.

Bandwidth is a term that has several different meanings depending on the situation in which it is used. When talking about bandwidth as far as Web Hosting is concerned, it refers to the quantity of data that transfers into and out of your web hosting account. Data coming in can comprise requests for web pages, email, FTP requests, and FTP uploads, whereas outgoing data comprises file transfers, web pages, and email. Each hosting account is given a certain amount of bandwidth each month. General figures for bandwidth range from 3 GB for small private sites to up to 200 GB for large business systems. Determining how much bandwidth you actually need depends on the amount of traffic your website receives as well as the information it contains. Web pages consisting of text and a few pictures can be very small in size but if you get lots of visitors every day you could need a lot of bandwidth.

However, website content consisting of downloadable files such as music, software, or video can be much larger in size. Therefore, even if you have low incoming traffic, you could need some extra bandwidth.

If you want to calculate the amount of bandwidth you need, all you have to do is calculate the size of the content which you can download and multiply it by the number of visitors you get each month. Afterwards, add to that the number of emails sent and received and other content such as FTP uploads. You should come up with an accurate number, because not every visitor to your site will download each file or view every page. So you’ll have some margin to play with.

As your web site develops and as you start getting more traffic you may have to increase your given bandwidth accordingly. It will be better for you to plan ahead and get a larger hosting package rather than wait until you go over your given limit. Check with your hosting company to see what their policies are as far as exceeding bandwidth is concerned. Some companies will allow you to go over the limit by a certain amount whereas others will shut your site down and request that you upgrade your account before your site is fully functional again. That is why it is always better to keep track of the amount of bandwidth you are using and anticipate in advance when you need to upgrade your site.

If you feel that your bandwidth is sufficient and would rather not upgrade you may have some traffic ‘throttle’ if you have approached your monthly limit. Some hosts offer this service as a method towards limiting incoming requests or to exclude further requests once a certain number has been attained.

There are many options for throttling. You can specify an idle time between requests in order to limit the number of incoming requests. This will cause incoming requests to be deferred for a specified amount of time if there are too many arriving at the same time. Another option is to impose a data transfer limit within a certain time period, or, to limit the amount of requests for a certain file. The transfer speed can also be restricted at a certain level. However, if you depend on web traffic for your business, throttling may not be the best idea. If your pages are not fast enough loading or if users can’t access files they have been looking for, they might turn away to another site. However, if you have a large amount of free content, throttling can prove useful in order to keep your hosting budget within a certain limited amount.

These 216 fixed colours, also named web safe colours have been universally recognized by all browsers and operating systems. In other words, websites using these colours only are more likely to look similar on any browser.

Fewer than 5% of computer systems are at present using 8-bit systems and are consequently limited to 256 colours. Nevertheless, you should still make use of web safe colours to start off with, particularly for logos, flat colour illustrations, backgrounds, and large areas of an identical color in any picture.

Web colours are constructed around 3 pairs of hexadecimal digits. Each pair stands for a value from 3 root colors: red, green, and blue usually shown as RGB.

Hexadecimal is not based on 10 digits but 16. Therefore, A would be equal to 11, B to 12, and so forth. For example, 000000 is black, FFFFFF is white and FF0000 is red. The first pair of numbers show the amount of red, the second set represents how much green and the last set stand for how much blue is employed to get that particular colour. 00 represents no amount of that colour (0%) while FF is the most amount of any colour you could use (100%).

The percentage breakdown goes as follows:

0%=00, 20%=33, 40%=66, 60%=99, 80%=CC, 100%=FF.

Colours which are made up of 3 pairs of identical hexadecimal digits, or web safe colours, are composed of every combination of 00, 33, 66, 99, CC, and FF for each root colour (6 x 6 x 6 = 216).

Nowadays, computers aren’t limited anymore to the 256 colours shown by 8-bit video cards. 4096 colours are displayed on 16-bit cards (also called web smart colours), whereas 32-bit cards will show millions of various colours (known as unsafe colours). The complete number of possible colours goes beyond 16 million, because each root colour can be one of 256 values (256 x 256 x 256 = 16,777,216). As long as your video card will support it, your browser will be able to display any of these colours.

You can find many colour wheels and charts available on the net that will help you choose web safe, web smart, or unsafe colours. Find a few below:

216 web safe color charts can be found at: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/websafecolor/

And also at: http://www.techbomb.com/websafe/

The 4096 Colour Wheel will give you the hexadecimal values for web safe, web smart, and unsafe colours together with various saturations of shades. This is available at: http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html

The 4096 Colour Picker & Mixer shows you how different coloured texts can appear with matching coloured backgrounds by using the web smart colour palette. This is available at: http://www.webcolors.freeserve.co.uk/pick4096.htm

The DHTML Colour Wheel gives the hexadecimal codes for all 16,777,216 colours. It can be found at: http://www.geocities.com/~prof_al/examples/colorwheel.html

Another version of the same colour wheel can display your chosen colour on the entire page. You can find it at:

http://www.jeffchester.com/colorwheel.html

Despite the fact that modern browsers display beyond 16 million colours, any colour which is not web safe won’t display in the same way on different browsers. If you would like to make use of colours on your web pages from the web smart or unsafe colours choice, always double check your pages on all the different browsers. Doing this will ensure that your chosen colours look good to all the people visiting your website.

Now that you have selected and registered a domain name, and signed it up with a web host, you may be asking ‘what’s next?’ The following step will be that your web host will have to provide you with details on how to get your site up and running online. This information includes passwords to get into your account, paths towards directories where your files need to be uploaded, and most vitally, what your domain name servers are.

Domain name servers (DNS) offer the link between your domain name (mywebsite.com) and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. As we have seen, the IP address is a series of numbers as follows: 123.456.78.9; and, every web server has a unique IP address which, in the event of dedicated servers hosting a single domain, is the same as the domain name. A site which is hosted on a dedicated server will respond to either 123.456.78.9 or mywebsite.com by serving the webpage you request.

The majority of websites, nevertheless, are hosted on shared servers. This means that one server is a home to many different websites, each having the same IP address. So if you type in a shared IP address you’ll get an error page or will be redirected to the web hosting company’s web site. So DNS is indeed necessary for websites on shared servers. The only way to request these websites is through the domain names – they cannot be requested through the IP address.

DNS Configuration

When you first buy a domain name, it will get registered on the DNS of the registrar. And until you plan for a web host, the registrar company will habitually redirect requests for your domain name to either an error page or an ‘Under Construction’ page. Remember that there isn’t any time limit between buying the domain name and finding a host. Some people buy their domain names without any intention of building a website with them. Many people, however, do buy their domain name with the intention of working with it. For this to be possible, you will need to open an account with a web host and prepare to transfer your site to their server. Part of the process of preparing your site for publication on the World Wide Web is to bring to the attention of your domain name registrar of the DNS of your new server.

DNS configurations look approximately like this:

Primary Name Server: NSA.NEWDAYDNS.COM (204.50.14.2)

Secondary Name Server: NSB.NEWDAYDNS.COM (204.50.22.2)

You will find this information from your hosting company either in the informational package that they email to you, or on their website. If you have trouble finding the DNS it will be best to contact your web host and request it. Once you obtain the DNS information you must enter it into your account on the registrar’s website. If you have bought your domain name from the hosting company, they will usually make the proper changes for you when your account gets set up.

When your DNS is registered or modified (when you change web hosts) it will take up to 24 hours for your site to be up and running on the World Wide Web. This is due to the fact that domain names are registered in a distributed data base that is maintained on thousands of computers all over the world, and, as each computer has a small part of the database in cache, if they receive a request for an unknown domain, that request will have to be forwarded to another computer until they can find the information.

In fact, domain names are pointers to a particular IP address and we use the domain name because it is easier to remember than a set series of numbers.

All websites enclose an IP address in the shape of a set of numbers, such as 123.456.78.9. The domain name system then translates all these numbers into a name such as mywebsite.com. These duplicates are there in order to increase reliability.

The first step that needs to be taken when registering a domain name is to make the right choice. The name can be nearly anything you fancy, but usually, it is better if the name represents the nature of the website. If you are selling computers, for example, it will help to register a domain name that refers to computers in some way – A1-Computers.com for instance.

Only letters, numbers or hyphens are allowed, which makes choosing a domain name quite simple. Apart from that, a domain name is also limited to 70 characters, but it is preferable to keep the name as short as possible. Your domain name can be in upper or lower case – the case is ignored by the DNS but you can sometimes use a combination to make the name easier to identify. For example, MyWebSite.com is easier to read than mywebsite.com, but both are the same to the DNS.

Also, several extensions are available to you. The most broadly used extension is .com — it has even entered people’s everyday vocabulary as a means to express Internet activity – (I own a dot com business). Other extensions you can use include .biz (for commercial sites), .org (for non-commercial companies), .net (for organisations involved in Internet infrastructure) and .name (for personal names). There are also certain extensions which are more specialized such as .museum, .aero, and .coop and are only used very exclusively by members of certain particular organizations. Further to this, there can also be country code extensions such as .us (United States) or .de (Germany). There are variable rules for using country extensions, so you will need to check with your registrar first to see if they are available to you.

All domains must be registered with an ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) certified registrar. There are hundreds of registrars and their prices can be considerably different. The full list of registrars can be found at the InterNIC website (http://www.internic.net/regist.html). Although most registrars are closely regulated, they are also allowed to offer their services through third parties, so many web hosts can offer a domain name registration service even if they aren’t themselves a registrar. The domain name price will usually be higher when dealing with these third-party services.

A domain names can usually be registered for a minimum of one year, although you can also buy up to a 10-year registration contract. Usually the longer your registration contract is, the lower the price will be, so if you are certain that you will be on the web for a while, you can benefit a great deal from a longer registration period. A lot of registrars also offer a discount on bulk purchases. If you own a large number of domain names you can also save some money if you transfer them all to the same registrar.

Although the software is initially expensive, after all it is incredibly complex, modular, and highly customizable, but all of this takes an incredible team of programmers and and technicians to tailor it to each individual companies needs, this is still incredibly cheap in the long run.

For hundreds of years, modern companies have been using enterprise resource planning models although they used to consist of a much more elaborate work force, a highly complex set of protocols and the many parts of this network were so expensive and hard to maintain that overhead was often half the businesses profits to maintain.

Today’s Enterprise application software takes full advantage of the latest in technology such as sophisticated software applications, programming platforms, and one of the worlds most lucrative inventions- Networking through out a company both in the office level and through the internet networking at multiple offices anywhere in the world.

The most recent, Enterprise application software can do with software what used to take incredible man power, and it can do it faster, with less errors, and doesn’t need any breaks. It still takes people to run and maintain, as well as enter data into the software, but you get more work out of each individual person due to the capabilities of the Enterprise application software muscle.

Companies are being run extremely efficiently and saving a lot of money that they can funnel back into marketing, RND, and even offering their top producers bonuses. The Enterprise application software also allows a company more leverage to do things that simply weren’t possible without it. This is giving companies more power to handle other tasks while maintaining the same efficiency (if not better) as before. Security is also built into the software which gives the company incredible control over who can input data, look at it, and extract it from the system.

Enterprise application software can make it possible to allocate certain department’s access to information at certain times and others access to different parts, to maintain more security and to not expose company secrets to those who don’t have permission to know such data. The beauty however is inherent in the fact that they can contribute to these same systems without seeing anything else in it, so the data gets crunched with the important other data but nothing leaks out!
