Welcome to 2013….

I can tell… you must have missed your CE over the short Christmas and New Year break.

How do I know – because there were so many attendees for our first event of the year. And wasn’t it a stunner!!

Listening to the different spin and perspective that Elaine Cebuliak put on dentistry and extractions was awesome.

The GREAT news is that she’s agreed to do some more sessions for us this year.

Here is the link to a short clip of this webinar

I’ll keep it short as I know how busy you are so close to Christmas

The Importance of a PERSONAL and a practice BRAND. Think of Nike, Harry Cooper, Chris Brown and Sir Richard Branson.

Like them or not – you must admit that they have powerful personal and business brands! It’s one of the MAJOR reasons for success.

Like it or not – you ALREADY have a brand – you may just not know it . It’s time you CHOSE your brand and defined it so that it represents who and what you and your practice are and stand for.

On Tuesday night Dallas McMillan gave some wonderful insights into branding – if you were not on line then ensure that you make the time to listen to it. Gold members can access the full video here…

And then last night the wonderful Kim Kendall in her inimitable way gave us some wonderful insight into cats, cat behaviour and cat medicine, which could be summarised in this statement; Me Me Me SAME SAME SAME I

We also learnt about LIN disease.

If you really want to increase cat numbers in your practice then – make sure you make the time to listen to this one. You can watch this webinar here….

Hello….

Well – if you thought that Caniplas was only useful in Parvo cases – then you need to watch this webinar.
It has a lot more uses than just in those cases.

Did you know that thawing and refreezing it destroys the clotting factors but that most other useful ‘things’ remain intact and that you can store it one heck of a long time.
In the human field they store similar products for up to 5 years.

This is a MUST see webinar – get yourself organised and plan it into your schedule here is a sneek peek http://youtu.be/6C2QCgZhAUY.

And back to last week’s webinar

This morning I discovered something I have never known… Manuka Honey is produced in Australia as well! Fancy that!

This could be of interest if you are one of the people who attended the event last week and who uses honey in a clinical way.

Every month there is market in Tamworth which a friend of mine attends and one of his favourite stalls is from the ‘Australian Bush Honey’ stand. (based in Tamworth)

It turns out that they produce Manuka at Taree and have for years. Most people assume it is only grown in NZ http://australianbushhoney.com

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Australian-Bush-Honey/116172198418207

and lastly we are now excepting clinical speaker applications for 2013, and if you or anyone you know is interested in conducting a webinar then please email us with your or their details and basic one paragraph description on the topic etc…… you are welcome to “lightly” promote your product or business during the webinar and we’ll do so before and after the event as well you’ll get a separate page on the Webinarvet Australia website etc.

Cheers for Now

Hello

This is some of the feedback that we receive after Marlies Bohm’s webinar last night – ‘Is That Cough Due To A Heart Problem?’.

“Last night was awesome”
“I learnt so much – thanks”
“Marlies makes it so simple and applicable”
“Just as good as the webinar she did on Parvo Virus”

If you weren’t on ‘live’ last night then you really MUST make time to watch this webinar.

Learn the 3 key features that will tell you whether a radiograph is worth assessing for heart disease
Learn the limitations of the Vertebral Heart Score
Why DV is better for heart and VD is better for lungs
What you can and can’t see on a R lateral versus a L lateral.

The good news is Marlies will be back in 2013.

Next week we’re talking about “Wound Healing with Manuka”

Hello

Yep – that’s right – I’m embarrassed about the last two Wednesday night Webinars.

In spite of all the rigorous checking and speaker protocols and everything that we put in place to ensure that your speakers have a FULL 50-55 minute presentation, the last two nights were ‘short’.

That being said there was still excellent content and if you missed Dr Peter Hatch talking about ‘The Elephant In The Room’ – workplace stress and burn-out for Veterinarians or Brett Davidson on ‘Compounding’ – then you should make time, get a cup of coffee (or something stronger at night of course) and sit down, get some CE points up your sleeve and listen to the archives.

GREAT NEWS: that being said, Wednesday 21st November you are in for a real treat. Dr Marlies Bohm talking on how to determine whether a cough is cardiac based or non cardiac based – using radiology.

If you heard her session on Parvovirus then you know how awesome she is. Make sure that you enrol for that one.

Some other good news – because of the demand for more ‘non-clinical’ webinars, next year there are going to be TWO communication, marketing, practice management type (i.e. – non-clinical) webinars (on the 1st and the 3rd Tuesday of the month).

That’s it for today…..

See you on line at 7:30 pm AEDT for Marlies – make sure you attend – she’s and AWESOME speaker and presenter.

Cheers for Now

We had two fantastic webinar’s this week.

On Tuesday Judy Gillespie from Vetanswers talked with us about “Websites with WOW”. Judy has spent hours researching veterinary practice websites and came to the conclusion that… well …most of them sucked!

Then last night Peter Hatch spoke with us about “Do Clients Know More Than We Tell Them” and gave us some very interesting insight about body language.

If you missed these webinar’s and are a Gold Member (remember for a limited time only this annual membership is only $125) you can access the recording’s here…….
