Adobe User Group coming to Wausau, WI Area!

Webolution Designs, LLC looks to bring Adobe users together in forming an Adobe User Group for the Wausau area.

A leader in web design and development, Webolution Designs, LLC is seeking to leverage the resources of Adobe and the collective community in the forming of a local user group. Webolution Designs is working in conjunction with RMM solutions, who will act as the host for the user group meetings.

The Internet...a passing fad?

Ok...so you are a non-profit, ministry or church and you know you need a website. I have a question for you...why?

Obviously the title of this entry is a joke. The internet is here to stay. The problem is that many ministries, churches and even businesses have not utilized the internet effectively.

Many churches have websites, but in most cases, they are not indicative of their ministry & vision. To be brutally honest, some are not even professional looking.

Churches develop websites because they see the need, but have developed them in silo fashion. They are kind of just there. They are typically worked on by folks willing to simply do the work because they have volunteered. In a host of scenarios, those individuals should not be doing the website.

Isn't that the albatross of a volunteer organization you say? No. We are to do all things as unto Christ and sometimers that means we need to throw resources at a top-notch website.

If you are on a church staff and worked with your website. Have you ever asked yourself these questions...

1) Why do we need a website?
2) What is the vision and purpose of our website?
3) How does our website fit into our church's ministry vision and goals?
4) If someone visits our website, do they receive an accurate picture of who we are and more importantly...who Christ is?

I believe the Church is far behind the eight ball in realizing the importance of the internet. Look at these statistics concerning technology from the Barna Group...
