Entrants must be 13 years old or older to participate in the Design Your Whirled Contest.
Entries may use any item in the Whirled Shop to create their room. Creating your own original items is encouraged, but not required.
Individual rooms and multi-room Groups will both be considered.
No copyrighted materials can be used in any way.
Multiple entries are allowed.
The contest is open to international entrants.
No purchase necessary to enter contest.

A Contest For Life

Contest is open to all visual mediums, all ages (over 13) and all locations (Permissions have been granted to make an exception to our age restrictions for prints for the purpose of this competition). Contest ends 11:59:59 PM on November 28th, 2008.

Your submission must be a minimum of 2400×3600 pixels to make a 24×36 print quality image. You can set the image on display in your gallery as smaller. However, if selected as one of the 40 semi-finalists, you will be required to make the image available as a print that will be sold in the PiNKiTUDE shop.

The theme is up to your interpretation. However, it should be representative of PiNKiTUDE in some way.

Your work can be done digitally or traditionally. Whatever medium your little heart desires!

The materials provided in the "download pack" link above can only be used in entries and not for any other purpose, but are not required to be used to qualify.

Texaco Childrens Art Competition

Started on 1955 this contest can probably no longer be viewed simply as a commercial sponsorship, it has acquired the status of an institution and it is a testament to the enduring innocence of childhood and to the power and inventiveness of a child's imagination. To enter, you must be under 19 years of age by Friday, 27th February 2009 and you must be resident on the island of Ireland. You may enter up to two pieces of artwork. Your entry can be about anything that interests you. Your entry should not be smaller than A4 (29.7cm x 21.0cm) or larger than A2 (59.4cm x 42.0cm). You may use any type of paper, white, coloured, rough or smooth. The work that you submit may be drawn or painted in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, crayon, pastel, watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour and collage. Alternatively, it may be submitted in digital format in any artwork software. Prints created from a lino block, wood blocks or any other methods may also be submitted. Your work should be original and unaided. Do not copy another person’s work. Young artists who receive first, second and third prize and special merit awards in each of the seven categories will be invited to the Awards Ceremony which will be held in Dublin each year.

The Design Green Project

FAI World Air Games - Young Artists Contest

In 2009, the top air sport athletes from around the globe will travel to Turin, Italy, to compete in the largest air sports event in the world organized under the auspices of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the World Air Games. Your assignment: grab your favorite art supplies and create a poster that captures the excitement and possibilities of this great event. Attention, all entries must be made to Your Organizing FAI Member Country by their deadline (an updated list is available on their website). Each FAI Member organisation taking part in the contest will select the best three paintings in each category of age. Only these three national winners are then provided to the FAI Headquarters, and submitted to an international jury. The 14th April 2009 deadline is for FAI Headquarters, each country of course needs to put a dealine earlier, so the best thing to do is to contact the organisation representing FAI in your country, and to ask for their own deadlines.

Love Your Body: 2009 Poster Contest

The National Organization for Women Foundation is hosting a poster contest to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Love Your Body Campaign. The grand prize winning poster will be used as part of a national campaign to challenge the violent, drug-addicted, starved, surgically-enhanced images of women and to fight against industries that profit from women's dissatisfaction with their bodies. Entries are accepted from all countries. There are four categories: open competition (non-student), undergraduate or graduate student, high school student, elementary and middle school student. Artists may submit multiple posters in the same category.
