Real Key To Success

In regard to making money on the Internet, everyone is always looking for the quick fix. They want to sign up for a program, place an advertisement, and make hundreds or thousands of dollars instantly. While this may be possible depending on your circumstances, the most direct and guaranteed path to success on the Internet is to stick with the fundamentals.

A friend of mine who is an athletic coach for kids in the city where I live reminded me of this lesson. This guy is actually so passionate about kids and athletics that he coaches 4 different
sports: basketball, soccer, baseball and football. Of course, he has a kid of his own on each team. But what is remarkable about this guy is the results he gets with his teams.

He was recruited to coach the 8th grade football team where his children go to school. After 27 years of losing seasons in a row, the first year my friend became the head coach the team won the district championship and repeated their championship run the following year. This past weekend he coached 12 different games and won all 12 of them. As you can tell, this guy is extremely dedicated.

But the funny thing is that he and the kids he coaches are not totally hung up on winning. If they lose a game, they feel equally good about themselves as they would if they had won. What matters most to them is how well they played and lived up to their potential as a team.

The real question is how my friend's teams continually perform on such a high level and beat nearly anyone they play even though they are often smaller and younger than their competitors. I asked this question to my friend the other day and he told me that it's all in the fundamentals.

In his practices, all he works on with his kids is keeping a positive mindset and practicing the fundamentals. He told me that his teams never scrimmage or strategize about upcoming games during practice. They simply work hard on all the fundamentals of whatever particular sport they are playing and do so more than any other team they play. This constant practice and improvement of the fundamentals is what allows his teams to progress faster than his competitors. While most other teams get caught up with how to win, out-strategize, be stronger than and intimidate their opponents, my friend's team is just so good at the basics that they blow everyone out of the water when game day arrives.

This got me thinking about my own Internet business and why I've been able to succeed on such a high level while most others who have tried to do what I do have failed. The answer is not really surprising.

Most people who try to build a successful Internet home business are looking for the quick fix. They want it to work IMMEDIATELY and so they usually fall prey to business opportunities that promise to help them get rich overnight and advertising scams that promise to deliver thousands of hungry prospects to their website in the next 24 hours. Of course, these opportunistic schemes are really just geared to steal people's hard earned money. You see, when someone is desperate and looking for an INSTANT solution, they will often be taken advantage of and their chances for success with an Internet home business are slim to none.

However, while there are thousands of business opportunities on the Internet and millions of different ways to advertise and promote your website, I personally practice the fundamentals in my Internet home business. I do this by sticking with the business opportunities I've joined for the long haul and promoting my website consistently with simple, affordable and easily maintained Internet marketing techniques.

In fact, one of the techniques that works best for me is writing articles like this one and getting them published on other people's websites using article syndication tools and software found online.

By writing articles and getting them published on other websites online using powerful tools like those mentioned above, I'm able to get my name and website address in front of thousands of people without paying a dime in advertising. Of course, the key to this strategy is that I write and distribute articles consistently in this way. It's one of those "fundamentals"
that doesn't cost anything but a little time and effort. Fact is, it's this price of time and effort that most people are unwilling to pay. They'll gladly part with hundreds or even thousands of dollars, but ask them to do a little hard work and they say "No way."

It's this understanding that can separate you from the pack. If you are willing to practice the fundamentals of your business faithfully and consistently, you will be destined to succeed on a high level. But if you can't and you're only looking for the quick fix, you have already lost the game before you even set foot on the field.

Even pros like me practice the fundamentals every day. In fact, especially pros like me practice the fundamentals. The moment I stop practicing the fundamentals is the moment I stop being a pro. Think about this carefully and then renew YOUR commitment to the fundamentals of your Internet home business today. Do this and you will soar past your competition.

Multi-Level Marketing or MLM, also known as Network Marketing, is not only restricted to the online world. It has sunken its roots even long before the internet. Some huge and successful companies were built on and continue to thrive, basing on this network model.

Multi-Level network operates on the principle of selling products or services through a vast network of independent distributors that sell at retail prices. These distributors usually paid a certain joining fee or has to buy some quantity of the product in order to gain distributorship status.

MLM network marketing companies all work with a solid business foundation. A parent company has a service or product to offer its customers. The networker’s task is to find other customers to buy the product and also to recruit new distributors for the products.

Traditionally, the network requires distributors to engage other people to perform the same routine. The referring distributor would then earns commission on the products that their referred distributors sell. When the distributor they referred bring in other distributors, the original distributor also receives commissions on those sales and so on. This is the concept of "Multi Level". 1) Investigate the entire upline just like you would to a business partner whom you have never met before.

7) Reason for pursuing this Multi-Level Marketing opportunity? This is perhaps the most important question of all. Never focus on the short-term earnings; the potential marketer should concentrate on the long-term goal.

There are certainly no right and wrong answers to these questions concerning a Multi-Level Marketing network opportunity. The point is to make sure that everything is known and transparent. Many people have made a lot of money in Network Marketing, but many more have ended up just wasting their time and money.

If a motivated person is considering a part-time or even a full time career in the MLM business or also known as network marketing, or just want to see how their current position measures up, there are certain critical factors to look for when choosing an MLM company. There are enough things to be concerned about when building a MLM business, such as sponsoring and advertising, without having to think about whether or not your company will be around next year.

The first factor to consider is stability. It would be the ideal situation to select an MLM company has been around and in business for at least 2 to 6 years. Affiliate marketing is also the name of the industry where a number of different types of companies and individuals are performing a form of internet marketing, including affiliate networks, affiliate management companies and in-house affiliate managers, specialized 3rd party vendors and various types of affiliates/publishers who utilize a number of different methods to advertise the products and services of their merchant/advertiser partners.

Which Internet marketer has not heard the horror stories of the multi level marketing (MLM) newbie who struck out for her or himself without much help from an upline and probably also by disregarding each and every piece of good advice offered by many websites and tutorials, and instead built a website advertising the product or service for sale?

Yet to the fledgling marketer’s surprise, no hits are being registered and in spite of tweaking and pruning the site every which way from Sunday, the traffic is still only trickling in, most of it being accidental rather than targeted. The sad reality is simple: unknown to the new network marketer, the lovingly crafted site she or he spent so much time working on was blacklisted .... Do not let search engines blacklist your network marketing product site!

Granted, the fledgling marketer from the example above probably was not quite as pure as the driven snow and instead may have engaged, wittingly or unwittingly, in some rather shady online practices which most major search engines will view as an immediate reason to blacklist the site.

Here are some examples:
* Perhaps the most egregious offense is the use of irrelevant keywords within the website’s metatags or even within the body of the site just to generate more hits. Thus, if you are working on promotion a network marketing product related to wellness, the inclusion of several highly searched key terms, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, and various other ailments will get you blacklisted, especially if the wellness product is not at all tangentially related to any of these conditions.

* Submitting a website manually or automatically time and again to the same search engine is considered spamming. In the past it was done to ensure a higher ranking of the site, but with the modernization of the process, search engines are very sensitive to being spammed. Do it one too many times and your site will no longer be included in the search results.

* Beware the lure of the mirror site. Once again, this methodology is a blast from the past when it was thought to guarantee a higher ranking within the search engine’s ranking hierarchy. Yet with the advent of optimization procedures, mirror sites are considered to be a relic of the past and those who continue to utilize the technology that in the past allowed them to submit the exactly identical site with a different URL to a search engine will find that neither web address will be accepted.

There are a number of other tips, tricks, and schemes employed by those who design websites for their network marketing product. Do not fall for the lure of easy rankings at the expense of the integrity of your site. It is not just the search engine robots that catch on to your shenanigans, but it is also a more and more technologically astute populace that will realize your ploy and thus you will instantly lose a massive dose of credibility. This, in the Internet marketing business, is the death knell which must be avoided at all costs!

With the number of multilevel marketing opportunities available, it can be difficult to determine which ones are legitimate opportunities and which ones are borderline illegal. In the past, many pyramid schemes that counted on recruiting others into the pyramid to make money without offering any real product or service in exchange for their investment, left people out of millions of dollars and caught the attention of law enforcement which has made them illegal to operate.

As a result, many variations of the multilevel marketing plans have been created to offer a thin veil over the fact that they are still pyramid schemes. Fortunately, there are few signs that point to a multilevel marketing opportunity being legitimate with a real opportunity for making real money by selling real products. Five things to look for when considering if an MLM business opportunity is legitimate include:

1. Sales of real products at a reasonable price
2. Enough information for you to make an informed decision
3. Training about the product
4. Resources to enable you to make product sales
5. Recruitment is an option and not mandatory

Many companies may offer product sales to slip in under the guise of being a legitimate MLM opportunity. If the company requires their distributors to buy the product in order to be eligible for sales commissions, it probably is borderline legitimate. If they require you to recruit new members into the distribution line before being eligible to earn commission, it is not a legitimate opportunity.

Any literature, online or offline promoting the MLM opportunity should contain enough information about the product, the potential for sales and a realistic approach to income potential to allow a reasonable person to make an informed decision. Too many times, the entire pitch is focused on how much money a distributor can make. One big red flag is a picture of an alleged sales person standing by a fancy car in front of a mansion. The car may have been rented long enough to drive to a fancy neighborhood where the picture was taken.

The product being sold should be the main focus of the information as well as its marketability, its competition and price. When looking at a product consider if you yourself would be interested in buying it at the offered price and then consider how many you might be able to sell.

The company should also offer support and other resources to make the job of selling their product easier. Many people will pay a higher price for quality merchandise and if the company is offering top-notch merchandise at a reasonable price, it may be a good outfit to join.

While recruiting distributors to work under you is common in the multilevel marketing business it should not be mandatory. Any company that demands a certain number of recruits before paying commission on your sales, is not one to bother joining. Additionally, they may also stipulate that the commission on the first or second sale will go to the person who recruited you. Stay away from these opportunities, as the commissions you earn should belong to you not the next person up the line.

It is far too easy to let circumstance drive your activities --- and when circumstance is in the driver`s seat, you are more likely to crash and burn.

Remember --- your own business is a lot like a real job. Some people go to work to play, some go to socialize, and others --- most often those who are paid in a commission or tip environment

When you find yourself spending too much time doing non-productive activities, then you should seriously consider finding a third-party service provider who will assist you in those non-profitable business activities.

As an example, you might be in the mail-order business. You might believe that your time is best spent writing ad copy and setting up your advertising, but you find yourself spending far too much time taking care of your books to take care of your advertising in the manner that you should.
