Transfering to new domain

Finally, I have decided to start my a new blog on paid hosting with its new domain name. My current blogs, TechWorld and WebScape will both be integrated into this new blog. That's the main reason why I haven't been posting since quite a couple of days and won't be posting for about a week more.

When I finally setup wordpress and start working on it, I'll disclose the adress here.

Till then, just hang on...

Hashout: Because together we know more

Hashout is now 7 months old and going on very well. The author of the blog, Aziz, blogs just about anything that fancies him. Aziz is from India.

He writes absolutely original content and tries to make his posts as informative and interesting as possible. Now since Hashout covers a wide range of topics, you are bound to find more than a few categories which you’ll have at least some interest in.

I stumbled on this blog about a month ago and have been its regular feed reader ever since. I especially find his Blogger hacks section useful, where he gives the ‘must have’ hacks for blogger and explains how to install them on your blogger blog in plain simple English.

Often Aziz touches on topics like why are horseshoes considered lucky, and some other similar weird (while intriguing) topics for a blog.

Hashout’s layout is very impressive and pleasing to the eye. The template of the blog is pretty unique; I wish I can get my hands on that template somehow…

Life of Minci Yazumin

The life of Minci Yazumin is a personal blog, well, written by Minci Yazumin. He basically blogs about anything that interests her and her interests are…err…too many. He even writes about the music, the books and the movies that he likes. Minci also discusses some recent events (like the craze before the release of the movie of the Simpsons) and includes some funny stuff every now and then.

Minci’s blog is very clean. No advertising, no flashing banners and no AdSense (!). Hmm…it appears to me he’s one of the handful bloggers left who haven’t succumbed to the Blog Monetization Madness (BMM).

The general page layout is very well done and the template looks attractive to me. Also, objects are neatly arranged in the sidebar. Certainly no visual clutter.

When I viewed her about me page I saw a pretty goofy image. Hehe…I had seen it before and wanted it for my avatar in some of the forums I visit. Finally I was able to get my hands on it…

I was looking at BetshopBoy’s blog and his unique way of reviewing blogs caught my attention. Instead of the regular ‘you review me and I link back to you’ what he does is that he scours the web for interesting websites and reviews them in his blog. What he asks in return is for the blogmasters, whose blogs he has reviewed, to give a link to his blog's home page with the specified anchor text in a subsequent post.

This is, I think, the first blogger I’ve come across who implements this kind of tactic to get more backlinks to his blog. I have seen his archives and this method of promoting your blog certainly works, because he now has many backlinks and a Technorati authority of about 600+ just after about 4 (actually 3) months he started blogging seriously.

Since WebScape is one of a kind blog and it certainly has a theme that only a handful blogs have, I have realized that this blog needs much more link love than other blogs to be noticed. Betshopyboy’s success (even though his theme is much more popular one) has certainly inspired me to do the same and get some much needed link love for my blog.

Now, unlike betshopboy’s blog, my whole blog is centered around reviewing the best websites/blogs I find on the web. So I thought, why not get some link love and exposure for the reviews than simply reviewing someone and not getting anything in return. This tactic certainly blends in much better with my blog.

What I am going to do is that I’ll look for interesting blogs and review them. After that, I’ll label them with ‘Free Reviews’ so that the readers of my blog can access them at once. As with betshopboy, all I ask in turn for the blog owners is to link back to my blog or this post or both. I’ll just review about 1-2 blogs per week for inclusion in my Free Reviews category; this way I’ll maintain the quality of my blog as well as get some link love going on.

So, starting from this week I am finally starting this promotion.

Just wait and see, I might as well include your blog!

Financial Independence is a blog is a blog, well about finance. The author posts cash generation & money making ideas and also has some advice for obtaining wealth.

Even though it's a relatively new site, compared to others in the blogosphere, I feel that it has the potential to go high up the ladder. The content is all original and informative and the posting interval is just about OK (though I would say to the author, Stubsy, to post a little more often especially because his blog is pretty new. I suggest posting at least once a day or if he writes long posts then once in 2 days).

Even though the content is pretty good, this blog certainly needs an overhaul in terms of the way it currently looks and the template it has. I suggest that Stubsy should replace the green link text with some other color. Also I would say that find another template. I don't know whether his blog is MT, Blogger or WP based, but all of those platforms have plenty of attractive templates.

Make Money with Kasper, is, well about making money online. It's basically a blog which is updated everyday about how you can Make Money Online with new money making tips from the author himself. He also has posted various Blogging Tips for fellow bloggers who want to earn from their blog.

Nowadays, he is writing a series of articles related to SEO. I am a feed subscriber of his and the SEO posts were surely very useful for me. Thanks to his posts on SEO, I even found a great site: Addurl. More on that later.

Wondering which quote or one-liner would be the best one to supplement your essay? Or just can’t find a nice enough quote for your article. Look no further, Find Quotes provides quotes of various subjects and said by various personalities.

Their database contains more than 150,000 quotations which are categorized into more than 100 categories.

On the home page, the site features one of the best quotes ever. The subjects covered range from Age Quotes to Work Quotes. Categories maintained by Find Quotes range from Ability to Nobility.

I found Find Quotes to be especially useful for those who are writing essays or writing some other stuff. As you would have heard, it’s always nice to supplement your essay with a famous quote. And surely you can accomplish that by visiting Find Quotes and picking the one you like from the thousands.

Here’s a tip on using the site’s Search feature though. Firstly, include the quotation marks always (that is: “”). That guarantees that you will receive some quotes for the search. For example if you want to search quotes written by Oprah Winfrey, then your typed text in the search box should look like this:

“Oprah Winfrey”

Note that only use this tip when you’re searching for author specific quotes or you already know some text of the quote and want to know the rest. Anyways, though I doubt you’ll search by category since the homepage of the site provides all the categories they have and it’s much easier to browse them.

Sorry to inform you, but I am going to post less in the coming time on WebScape. That’s because I’ll be posting more on TechWorld and I hardly have time to post the same amount of posts on 2 blogs.

But that certainly doesn’t mean that I’ll not post on WebScape at all. I’ll try to post at least once a day and I’ll make sure that those posts are long and informative ones that contain info about the best handpicked websites by me.

Hehe.

Finally after 3 hours of coding, hard work and some tweaking I have finnally added another 3rd column in my blogger template. I think WebScape certainly looks better now. Neat and clean. No clutter on the left sidebar.

I hope you guys (and girls) like new look.

And if you're wondering how did I do this...then just wait for a couple of days and I'll tell you in a step by step manner. So you won't need to just change to another template just because of the column problem.

Hmm....it seems I love money making blogs. Well, here's another blogger which talks about how you can make money online in his blog profit Line. He has many posts which can help your blog overall in terms of the traffic it recieves, the number of feed subscribers it has, increasing the amount of money you currently earn with it and the like.

He has even started a wonderful contest which exactly blends into the theme of his blog. It's titled the $100 cash contest giveaway! Yes, that's right he's giving away $100 to the winner. I recommend you enroll in the competition. Contests like these don't come everyday you know!

An article from his blog that I like the most is 15 Ways to Soar your Alexa Rankings which has implementable advice contained in it. Even though, I haven't tried it myself, I am sure these tips will increase your Alexa ranking, if followed.

There are many contests created by bloggers. Some bloggers give money, some give reviews, some give something else. Well, after I browsed so many blogs with contests, I thought why not start my own?

But money seeking participators might not like this contest since it doesn't involve me giving you money. Then what am I giving to the winner? More on that later, first let me tell you what it is about and what you'll have to do.

Ok, here's what you have to do: you just have to include a link to my main homepage of this blog which should be titled : "The Best Websites on the Web: WebScape" on your blog. Linking my blog means you get 10 points. The other thing that you can to do is make a post about my blog with a nice and decent review of it which also contains a link to my blog with the same titled as above. If you like online socializing, then you might like this site. It features arcade games, forum game section, general chat, and many other sections specializing in movies, games, software, technology talk etc.

When you become a member, you can even download new Hollywood and Bollywood movies for free, and games and softwares also. You can even download your favorite TV programs for free! Most of the movies and TV programs are DVD quality, so if you have high speed broadband it’s all the better. All the downloads are uploaded on rapidshare sadly, so you can’t use your download accelerator/manager unless you have a premium account, which costs money.

Are you a Google AdSense user? And if so, do you use AdSense referrals? If your answer to both of my questions is ‘yes’, then this website is made for you, the AdSense referral user. Using this website, you can increase your referral money. Explorer Destroyer is especially useful if a large majority of the visitors to your site use Microsoft Internet Explorer.

One of the referrals that AdSense currently provides is the Firefox referral, where you get paid after the user downloads Firefox from your referral link. The amount you get paid is $1 per download. If you’re thinking that $1 is too small, just think if your site receives visitors in excess of 1000 and only about 200 download Firefox, then you get $200! I hope you’re getting the picture.

Explorer Destroyer especially helps you to convert users to Firefox. It features some scripts, which when you insert in your website, creates a frame on the top if the visitor to your site is using Internet Explorer, saying that the visitor is using MS Internet Explorer and it explains the features of Firefox and how it’s better; on the right hand side is your Firefox referral image. The site features three versions of the same script. These three versions are actually different settings on the same script. The three settings are Gentle, Semi-Serious, and Dead Serious.

The Level 3: Dead Serious script will not allow people using Microsoft Internet Explorer past a splash page. This level is very (or should I say ‘only’) useful for sites that are not Microsoft Internet Explorer compatible. Unfortunately, level 3 is a little too intense for the AdSense policies, so for this level you’ll have to use a regular, non-AdSense link to download Firefox.

The only level I recommend is the Gentle one as it doesn’t disrupt the visitors viewing experience of your website. The other two levels (especially level 3) are completely useless. Unless you want to drive traffic away from your website, don’t use Level 2 or Level 3.

Also, I recommend you to use Explorer Destroyer scripts only if most of your site users user Internet Explorer. As sites with a lot of Internet Explorer users will also make the most money from Google Firefox referral fees, since you’ll have more people to convert. If the majority of your site’s visitors use Firefox and only a small percentage of them use Internet Explorer, then you’ll only make a slight amount of money. Still it’s worth a try anyways. You’re getting money just by doing nothing except inserting some code.

Also it’s recommend that your site must be a high traffic website (receiving atleast 50-100 visitors a day) because then only will you be able to get substantial money from your Firefox referral.

This website features products that the site owner says can help you boost your AdSense earnings by more than 200%. It certainly does exactly what it says. The site’s owner Joel Comm is an internet entrepreneur who gets over $300,000 in gross income from AdSense annually. On his website, he reveals his secrets of earning a 5 figure monthly income from AdSense.
