These are also commonly known as Auto Surf and Manual Surf sites. While offering a valuable free traffic resource for your members, you will also receive a lot of extra traffic to sell, or send to your own sites!

By maintaining an exchange ratio of 4:3 or 2:1 you will receive 25% to 50% of all the free traffic being generated. The exchange ratio is how many sites a member must visit before they receive a visit to their site. A 2:1 exchange ratio would mean that for every two sites a member visits, they will receive one visit from another member.

Properly managed traffic exchange systems are well known to experience a "very high growth rate" which results in even more traffic, and additional revenue from member advertising or upgraded member accounts. These sites are automated and require a minimal amount of time each day to approve new sites and answer member questions or concerns.

Perhaps a lot of free traffic and some extra revenue sound good to you, but another advantage to owning a free traffic exchange system is that members will link to your site to receive free referral credits. The result is a lot of incoming links to your site, and a lot of traffic to your site. That means that your site's Alexa Ranking will skyrocket, and your Google Page Rank will also increase.

Just take a look at the Alexa Rankings for some of the popular traffic exchange sites and you will see what I mean. We know of traffic exchange sites that are in the 500 range. Our own sites have jumped from in the millions to one hundred thousand or less in just a few months and are still climbing as they grow. Currently showing well over a million members site a month, we are enjoying the fact 30% or more of that traffic is being sent to our own sites for absolutely free.

Owning a free traffic exchange system is a very inexpensive way to increase your site rankings, receive a lot of free traffic, and get paid for doing it. We've spent a great deal of our own time researching the different traffic exchange software available and have found the best! If you would like to start your own free traffic exchange system visit the demo we have set up for our recommended choice.

13 Steps to Successful Blogging

Blogs can be a very marketable and very profitable tool if used correctly. Profiting from blogs is just a matter of grabbing the attention of an audience and not doing any actual salesmen selling. In this article you will learn the 13 most essential steps to successful blogging.

1) Where to start?
You should begin your blog with a free blog hosting service such as Journal Home. I don't say that because I'm the owner, but a free blog host is very rewarding for a new blog. Starting with a free blog hosting service allows you to begin blogging instantly without having any advance knowledge of scripts, hosting, or programming. It allows you to build an audience and buzz for your blog. It allows you to focus on your content and not the internal maintenance of the blog. The best benefit of starting with a free service, is in the case your blog doesn't become successful you do not lose any money or are you left holding the bill. The great thing about a blog is that they are organized in chronological order, your latest entry is displayed first. When your blog traffic grows greatly and you are ready to upgrade to your own domain then you can simply make your last blog entry the announcement of your "move". Simply add a last entry stating that your blog has "moved" and type the new blog URL address. Which directs visitors to your new blog site, keeping your following, without a major inconvenience to anyone. Upgrade as you need to...but only when you need to!

2) Niche
A niche is a targeted product, service, or topic. You should first decide on a product, service, or topic which interest you. Choose an area which you can enthusiastically write about on a daily basis. You can use keyword research services like Google Zeitgeist or Yahoo! Buzz Index to find popular searched topics. It does NOT matter if your topic is popular as long as there is a audience for your topic and the topic is precisely focused then your blog should be successful. Anything can be considered a niche as long as it has a target audience no matter how large or how small the audience is. A blog about your cat can be a niche or a blog about the species of the cat family can be a larger niche market, if there are people who are interested in hearing about your cat or the species of the cat family, then you have a niche...you can even choose to build your audience for a market which an audience does not exist, but first you must build your blog.

3) Update Daily (nothing less)
This step is a must and not a suggestion. Updating your blog daily not only keeps your blog more interesting to readers, but it also gives your blog fresh content on a day to day making it more appealing to search engines. Not updating your blog on an occasional holiday or one day here and there is understandable to most, but missing days at a time or weeks is unacceptable and will most likely result in your blog being unsuccessful. To keep your blog traffic and retain your visitors interest it is a must to update your blog daily with multiple entries. Though, I am seeing a growing trend of successful blogs that are not being updated daily, but they are successful and have a stable audience who continue to visit their blog daily. Regardless, these blogs are still updated weekly with multiple entries. Until you have a steady audience you should try to update your blog everyday with at least 3 or more daily entries. The best way to accomplish this is to set aside 1-2 hours a day for tending to your blog and adding new entries. It may even be wise to schedule a set time which you dedicate to your blog each day. Give yourself work hours and treat your blog as a job, what happens if you don't come to work for days or weeks...you lose money or worse you get fired! Same applies here...if you don't update your blog for days or weeks you'll lose visitors.

4) Traffic
It's no secret. You must have traffic to profit from blogs. There are numerous ways to build traffic. Paid advertising, free advertising, viral marketing, search engine marketing, RSS/XML feeds, and word-of-mouth. You should always use your blog URL address in the signature of your email, forum discussions, message boards, or any other communication media. You should submit your blog URL address to search engines and blog directories. You should submit your RSS/XML URL feed to blog ping services like Technorati, Ping-O-Matic, and Blogdigger. You should confidently share your blog with family, friends, co-workers, associates, and business professionals when it relates. Many blogs can be considered as a collection of articles, for this purpose you should submit your blog entries (those that are valuable and lengthy articles) to content syndicators like GoArticles.com or ArticleCity.com. Once submitted your articles can be picked up and published by others. The trick is to make sure you include your Blog URL address in the "About the Author" passage. What this does is create link popularity and backlinks for your blog, when someone picks up your article from the syndication then publish the article on their website the "About the Author" passage is included with each publication and the link you included is followed, crawled, and indexed by search engines. Imagine if your article is popular enough or controversial enough to produce 10,000 publications across the web. The search engines is bound to find your blog in no time with that many publications and credit you a authority on the topic, in return increasing your rank on search engines. The small effort of writing a well written article is rewarding. You should try to write at least 1 full length article every week for syndication and submit your article to at least 10 article syndicators.

5) Track Your Blog
How do you know if your blog has traffic? Just because no one is leaving comments doesn't mean your blog isn't growing. Many visitors do not leave comments but they are returning visitors. I know it sounds crazy but with blogs people are more interested in what "you" have to say! Many visitors do not comment their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time. Some do not comment at all, but are active daily visitors.

Tracking your blog does not have to be overly sophisticated usually a simple free page counter like StatCounter.com or Active Meter will do the trick. Install (copy/paste) the code into the html of your blog template and start tracking your visitors. Its better to use a service which gives you advanced traffic analysis, such as keyword tracking information, referral information, and search engine information. Visitors, returning visitors, and unique visitors should be standard for any page counter service you choose.

6) Listen to Your Audience
When using the proper page counter you should begin to see how others are finding your blog and if through search engines then which keywords are being used to find your blog. If constantly your blog is being found by 1 or more keywords then focus your blog around those keywords to make it even more powerful. When writing entry titles and entries use the keywords as often as possible while keeping the blog legible and interesting.

7) Multiple blogs
Use multiple blogging accounts (free) to attract more people. This means you should have a blog with JournalHome.com and others. The more blog accounts the better (be sure to read and adhere to the Terms of Service for each site). You can copy/paste from 1 blog to all others. Having different blog accounts is like having a publication in different newspapers. This enables you to attract more visitors and this also increases the chance that 1 of your blogs will be in the search engine results for your focused keywords.

8) Short & Concise
Aside from the lengthy article a week for syndication and publication your blog entries should be short & concise (if you can help it). Sometimes there are exceptions to the rule and you have no choice but to blog lengthy entries, but try to avoid this as much as possible. You do not want your blog entries to become hours of reading. Visitors like to easily find information and skim through your entries. It is good to be detailed and provide useful information, but do not include useless information or run away sentences that veer away from your topic. Stay keyword-focused.

9) Digital Art
Try to include non-advertising graphics, pictures, photos, and art in your blog entries. Not too much. Once a week is fine. Graphics can sometimes bring your blog to life. Of course, the content of the blog is the most important aspect and you do not want to overshadow your content with graphics, but displaying graphics can add a bit of spice to the blog. Be choosy about your graphics and make sure they fit your entry topic. You should add content with the graphic, at least a caption. Original graphics, photos, pictures, and art is recommended.

10) Keep it Personal
A blog is most successful when it is kept personal. Try to include personal experiences which relates to the topic of your blog entry. Stay away from the business style of writing. Write with a more personal style and use first-person narratives. Do not write any of your entries as sales letters, instead share product reviews and personal endeavors.

11) Interact With Your Visitors
You now have the traffic you deserve. You should begin interacting with your visitors. Create a regular theme such as: "Monday Money Tip" or "Picture of the Week" which entices your readers to look forward to each week.

Give your readers advance notice about a product, service, or topic which you are going to review and then talk about later. If the President was scheduled to give a speech then in your blog you should state that you "will discuss the speech and give your opinion after the speech airs. Comments will be appreciated".

Try your best to find exclusive information that not many have. Do not disclose any confidential or secret information which is deemed illegal or can potentially get you into trouble, but try to get the scoop before everyone else does. Such as: If your blog was about Paris Hilton (the socialite) and you had a blog entry about "Paris Hilton Getting Married" then it would be interesting to your readers if you had a actual picture of Paris Hilton engagement ring. Give your best effort to dig and search the internet for exclusive information and you will possibly come up with something useful. Your readers will appreciate this and they show their appreciation through word-of-mouth referrals. Imagine how many readers will tell their friends, family, and others about information they only can find at your blog.

12) Make Money
Once your blog has gained some real momentum and your blog traffic is increasing then it is time to start thinking about turning your traffic into profit. You should use contextual advertising, like Google Adsense or Chitika. Contextual advertising is usually text links which use the content of your blog to publish targeted ads on your blog. The payout is usually based on a pay-per-click model, meaning for ever click an ad receives you are paid a small percentage of the profits. In addition to contextual advertising it is good to also use graphical advertising such as: BlogAds.com, Amazon.com, MammaMedia, or General Sponsored Advertising.

13) You're a Professional
You're a professional now! What are you still doing with that free blog hosting service? It is time to upgrade to a domain hosted solution. You need to get a web host and choose a domain name for your blog then check its availability. Select the blogging software you wish to use, such as: Squarespace.com, WordPress.org, MovableType.org, TypePad, etc. When you have your new blog domain setup and ready for traffic then it is time for you to announce your move on all your previous blog accounts. Your last entry to the blog should be a "move" announcement. The title should be "Moved" and the blog entry should state something like "I have a new home for my blog, please bookmark and follow the link: http://www.YourNewBlogDomainName.com". This way all returning visitors and new readers should not have any problem finding your new blog domain. Plus, search engines can easily index and crawl your new blog, since your old blog should already be popular with the search engines.

At the level of a professional blogger you may want to team up with 1 or more other bloggers. This will create a more interesting and more powerful blog. The old saying "two heads is better than one", more authors mean more advertising and exposure because each author will have a vested interest in the blog. The idea of a team blog is to make it profitable and rewarding for all authors, while continuing to target the blog topic and keeping the blog interesting for visitors.

Following these blogging techniques should make your blogging experience much more rewarding. There is no guarantee that your blog will become popular or a household name, but the effort should at least put you one step closer. Making money online is not an overnight experience like many may think, but making money online is definitely a foreseeable possibility. As well, growing popularity on the web is not an overnight experience, but through time, dedication, and persistence you will be rewarded with all the royalties of blogging.

BEST MARKETING FOR WEBSITE INCREASES TRAFFIC

I am sure you have seen a lot of offers on the Internet promising to submit your web page to 500 or more Search Engines for a fee up to $375.00 or more. First of all, there are not 500 Search Engines on the Internet. There are only about 35 Prime earch Engines. Search Engines send out electronic spiders to roam the Internet web looking for web pages with the keyword listed in the browser. The spiders find the keywords, that closely match, stored in indexed databases throughout the web and deliver the results in rank of relevance. Search Engines search through their own database as well as the world wide web.

The promise to submit your web page to 500 Search Engines contains indexed database websites, cataloged by subject. The search return results on these particular websites are from their own indexed database and not the world wide web. These websites may not be well known to the average customer. Submitting your web page to cataloged websites may not prove to be worth your while nor money from an advertising point of view.

If you want to generate hits to your site, the best process you can do for your web page is to MANUALLY submit your web page to each Search Engine. Submittal Services can submit your web page URL to Search Engines with an automatic submittal software for a fee. They could not submit MANUALLY because it would take them too many hours to do this for each customer. Obviously, it would not be profitable for them. When you manually submit to each Search Engine, you will receive an email notification from each Search Engine that your submittal has been received.

Each Search Engine reserves the right to choose which URL appear in their database. Most of your major Search Engines will not even take an automatic software submittal. They prefer MANUAL submittals only. You have a much better chance getting into their databases by MANUALLY typing in each submittal. To achieve a better chance at getting your website listed in the search returns, read the instructions of each Search Engine and MANUALLY type each submittal. You may have the greatest website on the Internet, but if it is not submitted properly to the Search Engines, the traffic you long for will not occur.

Now that the web page achieved a listing in the indexed databases of Search Engines, check once a month into each database to make sure you remain listed. As I stated before, Search Engines reserve the right to choose which URL appear in their database and eliminating your URL for no apparent reason can occur. Never duplicate your web page submittals to Search Engines continually because this is very irritating to them and they will drop your submittal. Should you discover your web page eliminated from the database, manually submit your URL again.

After you have manually submitted your URL to each Search Engine, do not expect your website to be listed in their database within 24 hours. Listings occur within 2 weeks to 6 months that varies with each Search Engine.

The next step to bringing traffic to your website is marketing it. While you are waiting for your website to occur in the Search Engine databases, generate traffic to your website by marketing it through various sources on the Internet. Some say banner advertising and link exchange is the best way to promote traffic to your website. However, research to this method is discovering that people are becoming immune to banners and links more and more, just like we all become immune to billboards. However, banners and links do work for some websites.

Internet free classified ads are helpful in generating traffic to your website. Some of the classified sites will show up in a Keyword Search return, listing your web address as part of their database.

SEO: What To Look For And Look Out For When Choosing An SEO Firm

Search Engine Optimization/Marketing. The never ending pursuit of getting on that first page of Google. What does it really take to get there? How long will it take me to get there? This is my first post to this column but over time I hope to answer all these questions and more. For today I’ll give you some pointers on what to look for and what to run away from.

First of all the scams:

1. NO ONE can guarantee the number 1 spot on Google or any other search engine. If someone tells you they can what they are going to do is take your money (usually $200-$500) and put half of it in a pay per click account overture or Google adwords and pocket the other half. Same goes with someone who guarantees results in 48-72 hours.

2. Never use link networking or link farming sites. These will get you penalized or banned from the search engines. The reason is if you have had 10 inbound links to your site for two years and over night you have 1,000 inbound links this is going to appear unnatural to the search engines and considered spamming.

3. Run away as fast as you can if you hear anything similar to: no one will see the content, we hide content, we use cloaking software, we use layering, or anyone who even hints at deceiving the search engines in any way. This will get you banned. The search engines want to see what the average joe who goes to your site will see.

4. Re-direct and multiple domain names. Some SEO firms will use multiple domain names with spam content to get search engine traffic and then re-direct the traffic to your site. This technique was invented by people in the adult industry so that no matter what keywords you searched you would be re-directed to an adult site. You could punch in lawn chair and get re-directed to an adult site. As amusing as it was it got old when after you were on the 3rd page of results and you still hadn’t found some patio furniture.

5. We’ll submit you to 75,000 search engines. Another example of spamming. This will get you penalized or banned almost overnight.

These are some of the more popular scams though I’d be writing all night if I tried to cover them all. Basically if it sounds to good to be true or it promises results in less than a month don’t do it.

Search Engine Marketing Optimization Products Reviewed

Most books and software ever sold online have-in one form or another-something to do with Search Engine Optimization. Why is this such a sought after service? Because... getting a good spot on major search engines can be the difference between $0 in profit per day versus $500 to $150,000 in profits per day (depending on the product you are promoting). Now there are many books and programs out there... and trust me, I've tried nearly all of them. Here are my personal recommendations:

1 - The SEO Elite Software is by far the best of the best in software out there. It is a bit pricey to start off with, but it will literally save you thousands of dollars in promotions. The advantage you have is that you can create instant back-links to your site whenever you choose to, and on more sites then you could ever dream of. To have access to tools with a 1/4 of these abilities you would pay about $239 a year somewhere else. In short... you get more than you pay for. I'd rate it 10/10

2 - Search Engine Optimization is another great, great tool. The price is a fraction of what you would pay on the previous software, but you are also more limited as to what you can or cannot do with this system. Still a super program, but remember: You Get What You Pay For.

3 - Links Master is a program different from the previous two in the sense that you get someone else to blast your text ads out onto hundreds of sites. Problem? You have limited control over the kind of sites and the amount of sites linking to your site. Again... a great service, but it does tend to go hard on the wallet of those starting out.

Believe it or not-there is no secret to getting your site listed number 1 on major search engines. You read that right! Search Engine Marketing is always spoken of as though it is hard to do. And gaining a number 1 spot on Google, well, that is just plain impossible. If done right, YOU can prove all those assumptions wrong.

Using software number 1 it is easy and fast as lightning to get top ranking on major search engines and, as previously stated, it takes very little effort on your part. Go to the site, read the testimonials-and if you are serious about getting that number 1 spot... I trust you will purchase the software. The SEO software is to the online marketer today as a machine gun would have been to a warrior in medieval times: It literally blows all Search Engine Marketing competitors to pieces!

Search engines can be an effective method of driving highly targeted visitors to a web site. Our search engine marketing page provides access to the collective wisdom of all the top search engine marketing experts with regularly updated articles, links to resources, and announcements of new tools and services available to the search engine marketing industry.

Do you want your site to rank number 1 on Google?

Then use the number 1 Search Engine Marketing tool, which is currently being used by thousands of search engine marketers around the world. Gain YOUR #1 spot on Google, Yahoo, and MSN in record time!

Importance Of Backlinks in Search Engine Optimization

As a SE Optimizer or someone building your business website yourself, you are sure to have come across the term "backlink". Backlinks hold an important place in the field of Search Engine Optimization. It is one of several criteria considered by search engines when indexing and driving traffic to your site. We will concentrate on importance of backlinks here.

Building quality backlinks is very crucial for Search Engine Optimization, and it should be given the importance it deserves and therefore necessary efforts should be made to optimize the site. Understanding importance of backlinks and its application can make or mar your efforts to drive traffic to your website. Now let's understand why you need good quality incoming or inbound links to your site.

Search Engine Optimization is a technique with the help of which websites' position in the search engine is decided. If your next question is "how does ranking higher on the search engines help?" let me answer it for you. The higher you are positioned in SEs the more traffic you will generate. The more the traffic, better are the chances of sales and profitability.

There are many factors that decide your position on the search engines. Backlinks are one of them. In this article I will try to explain the role and importance of backlinks in Search Engine Positioning.

Backlinks are the links that point towards your site. These backlinks to your site could be found on forums, blogs, other sites of similar or dis similar nature anywhere across the net. backlinks are also known as Inbound Links.

Link Popularity and number of backlinks are directly proportional to each other. The more the backlinks, the better the popularity of a site. Backlinks are very crucial for Search Engine Optimization and Ranking. Some Search Engines, especially Google gives a lot of importance to the number of backlinks a website has. Google considers website more credible that others on the basis of number of quality backlinks it has and considers them more accurate and relevant in their results pages for a search queries.

Please note that quality backlinks and relevant backlinks are two very important considerations. A backlink from a site that has quality content plus content related to the theme of your site will hold you in a much better stead than a back link coming from a poorly designed or optimized site. Or from a site that has nothing to do with the theme of your site.

Building backlinks is a continuous process. And it should ideally happen over a period of time. Sometimes webmasters or search engine optimizers do try to tweak or manipulate the search engine but the bubble bursts sooner than later. Organic backlinks building is the only legitimate way to rise up the search engines.

Webmasters or search engine optimizers should keep a few things in mind. Internal linking helps only to the extent of facilitating navigation for the visitor. It doesn't help your position is search engines in any way as it is sometimes claimed. Reciprocal linking with substandard or irrelevant sites does not help. It has also been observed that people who operate say 6 websites link them with each other but the same IP number that all these sites share nullifies the effect. Linking too many websites from the same IP number may harm. Few, say one or two can work. These are very important facts that you should always bear in mind.

Simplest techniques are best to follow and get results. Try getting lots of quality sites link to your site. Build them over a period of time. Don't be in a hurry to build backlinks lest search engines develop doubt. Avoid a bad neighbor at all costs.

Solutions for 50 Backlinks with PageRank greater than 2

Today, no one can deny the importance of backlinks in Search Engine Optimization, especially in Google Optimization. In this article, you can find some solutions for the goal of 50 backlinks with PageRank greater than 2 for new websites. When this goal is archived, I'm totally sure that the pagerank of your website will be boosted to at least 3 in the next update of Google. There are two main solutions for this goal:
- Finding links on our own, not spending money.
- Buying text links (backlinks).

1. Finding links on our own, not spending money

*Methods in this solution include:
- Find relevant, quality websites and request for link exchanges.
- Submit to quality directories.
- Submit testimonials on websites where you have purchased any services or products.
- Write articles or posts to submit to other websites, blogs, press and forums.

*Pros in this solution:
- No money.
- Robust, stationary links.
- Accepted by search engines.

*Cons in this solution:
- More time and efforts.
- Two-way links (reciprocal links).
- Difficult to determine the time to achieve goal.

*References for this solution:
- Link Exchange programs: linkalizer.com, linkmarket.net, freelinkcentral.com
- Automatic link exchange programs: belinked.info, onewaytextlinks.com, build-reciprocal-links.com, linkdash.com
- Quality Directories: businesspages.org, a2z-free.com, alphabiz.org
- Article Directories: goarticles.com, articlealley.com, article99.com, ezinearticles.com

*Tips:
- You can find more sites for link exchange from studying your competitors' link popularity. Use search engines to perform this check, the keyword in many cases is: link:your_competitor_url.
- When visiting some directories, pay attention to Directory category. You may find the others directories there. For example, in Directory category of businesspages.org, you can find some other good Australian directories.

*Estimated time: 2 months

2. Buying text links

*Methods in this solution include:
- Buy text links (backlinks) directly from sites (in case they don't accept link exchanges)
- Buy text links from text link brokers.
- Buy text links from link auction sites.
- Pay fee to be included in big, quality directories (Yahoo, Overture, LookSmart...)

*Pros in this solution:
- Less time and efforts to get links.
- One-way links (better than reciprocal links)

*Cons in this solution
- Money. We must pay fee every month (or year) for some links.
- Buying text links (many in the same time) from text link brokers isn't encouraged by search engines. They can penalize us.
- Some links are volatile (not permanent).

*References for this solution:
- Advertising on sites: iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker (PR5 - $10.00 per month)
- Text link brokers: textlinkbrokers.com (5 Permanent Links PR0 - PR4: $175 /month), textlinkpopularity.com (10 Links from PR 3 Pages: $150 - Pay only once for permanent links - no recurring charges)
- Link auction sites: linkadage.com
- Big, quality directories: Yahoo! Directory (1 link - $299/year - your site will be reviewed first)

*Tips:
- When buying links from brokers, be sure that you can preview the pages in which your link will be included. Besides the PageRank, there are other factors to take into consideration such as: relevant links in this page, how many links in that page, whether your link is static, ...

*Estimated time: 1 week (some directories need more time to review our request)

3. Conclusion:
It seems that the goal of 50 backlinks with PageRank greater than 2 for new websites is not an easy one. Improving link popularity is a long, patient but obligatory process. It's up to you to decide which solution is better or the combination of these two ones.

10 Easy Ways to Generate Website Traffic

This article will show you 10 easy ways to get more targeted traffic to your website. Use as many of these techniques as possible to improve your website traffic. And be sure to track all of your different traffic campaigns so you'll know which ones are working the best. Then you can concentrate most of your efforts on the ones that make you the most money. So let's get started.

1) 'Pay Per Click Search Engines' - This is one of the fastest ways to get targeted traffic. Just set up an account with some of the top PPC search engines and start bidding on keywords related to your product. Use the keyword suggestion tools that the search engines provide to make it easy to build your keyword list. Make a long list of targeted keywords so you can take advantage of the least expensive ones. Then write a killer ad with an attention grabbing headline and start driving traffic to your website.

2) 'Search Engines' - To get the free traffic from the search engines you will want to get ranked as high as possible. So here are a few tips that should be helpful: Have lots of links to other sites, use the best keywords for your targeted market on your website/sales page and choose your domain name wisely.

3) 'Write Articles' - Do you want to get a ton of free traffic to your website? Just start writing articles and submit them to related ezines. Always make sure your articles are filled with quality content. And you can include your bylines at the bottom of all articles. Then whenever someone reads your article they will be exposed to a link to your website.

4) 'Solo Ads in Ezines' - Solo ads should also be a good way to send traffic to your site. Find ezines that are related to your market and place ads with them. A solo ad is someone sending your ad to their list without any other ads. And the people reading your ad will feel it comes recommended from the ezine owner. To search for ezines in your related market just use your favorite search engine and enter: "ezines ________". Fill in the blank with your related market. Plus you can do a search for the top rated websites in your related market and then contact them to see if they accept solo ads in their ezines.

5) 'Classified Ads in Ezines' - Now this will be very similar to solo ads but should be a lot cheaper because of the smaller ad space. And classified ads will be sent out with other ads and other content. But use the same strategies as described in solo ads to generate traffic. The secret here is to have a good ad with a great headline to make readers click on your link. The better your ad is then the more money you'll make. Another thing to mention is if your ads are making you money then keep running them. But you will also want to run split test to try to improve your ads.

6) 'Ads to AOL Customers' - You could send ads to the 20 million people using AOL to collect even more traffic. Just use the same techniques as in 'Classified Ads in Ezines'. Again for best results try to create irresistible ads.

7) 'Banner Ads' - You may want to invest in some banner ads for even more traffic. If you use a word banner ad, then it can be written similar to a classified ad. Some banner ads are cost per impression and others are cost per click. With the cost per click banner ad you only pay when someone visits your site, which may be better. 500 impressions doesn't really mean anything if no one visits your website. But 500 clicks on your banner ad mean 500 people to your site.

8) 'Linking to Websites' - Another way to get targeted traffic to your website is by linking to other sites. Only link to reputable sites that you would want to recommend to your good customers. Search for high traffic websites that are related to yours and then try to get them to link to your site. Collect information about these sites so you can send them an email later. In your email compliment them on their site and explain how linking to your site will benefit them. Tell them their customers will be interested in the information on your website. If they don't agree to link to your site then try exchanging links with them. Also start an affiliate program it's the ultimate linking system.

9) 'Viral Marketing' - You can also create lots of website traffic using viral marketing. Create or buy a product that is valuable and has permanent links back to your websites. Then sell or give this product away and then let your customers sell it or give it away. You will have a viral product that can spread all over the internet like a virus and all those links will keep sending prospects back to your websites.

10) 'Joint Ventures' - Joint ventures are a great way to get target traffic fast. When you do a JV with someone you can promote each other's product to your lists. Both JVs will make sales and increase their customer lists almost overnight. Once you start developing JVs you can use the results from the first one to promote the next one. And the more JVs you have the more sales you'll make.

Remember don't forget to test everything you do to find out what works the best for your products.

Why Link Farm and FFA Submissions Are a Bad Idea

Before search engines got smart, a site’s page ranking was based on keyword match-ups. When webmasters stock-piled their sites with keywords, the wrong sites were getting too much attention. Google decided to focus on a site’s “popularity” instead. The number of incoming links became the focus of PR criteria. The theory behind this system was that if a lot of sites link to another site, that site would contain valuable content.

But again, webmasters got sneaky. With this trend, we began to see the evolution of “Link Farms” and “Free-for-All” (FFA) sites. These pages were essentially a gigantic collection of (often times) useless links. In most cases, the sites were not categorized or descriptive. They became a place for webmasters to dump their links in order to make their site appear more popular.

This strategy worked for some time, but soon search engines caught on. “Link Farms” and FFA sites served no purpose to web users. Since Google prides itself on catering to web users (and NOT developers), a solution had to be formed. “Link Farms” were cluttering up the web and making it more difficult for users to find valuable resources online.

Google soon began to rate the quality of the links that determined a site’s “link pop.” “Link Farms” and FFA sites became categorized as spam, and thus contributed no value to a site’s link popularity.

Today, submitting to a “Link Farm” or FFA site can be harmful to your website’s reputation. Google takes a strong stance against these kinds of link pages. At best, the “Link Farm” will drag down your ranking and make it harder for the valuable sites to work in your favor. At worst, your site will be BANNED altogether for using spam sites to attempt to generate traffic. This is a very real possibility.

“Link Farms” and FFA sites present very little value. Although it may sound tempting, users will not obtain quality or relevant links from the submission. Plus, who wants to see their link among “junk” websites for adult entertainment, dating sites, and casinos? Submitting to “Link Farms” doesn’t contribute to your credibility and is just not worth the risk.

Instead, spend your time submitting to credible directories and exchanging links with other relevant sites. The process can be time-consuming, but it is the only way to generate safe, site-specific traffic.

For an easier method to the tedious directory submission process, and to Submit your website to 300+ link directories fast and easy we recommend Directory Submitter.

Automatic Reciprocal Links Exchange: Forget Lousy 10% Link Exchange Response

Link exchange is very helpful in building valuable business contacts and getting better rank with search engines. But those who tried to use traditional link exchange strategies face a very sad fact - only 10% of link exchange offers sent to relevant web sites get response. All the rest goes to trash bin; efforts wasted.

Why this statistics follows most of link exchange cases?

The market of link exchanges is overwhelmed. Those who think that is it possible to get few hundreds of reciprocal links and get 1st position within a couple of days spam web sites like crazy. I personally delete over 90% of link exchange offers that are sent to my web sites as these offers are absolutely irrelevant.

Still, quality link exchange can be a good boost to any web site to abandon all hopes with it. And there is a big place for increasing the conversions of your link exchange offers.

How to increase the conversions of link exchange offers?

Go to secret gardens where web sites are eager to do link exchange. No link farms, no link pyramids, no link MLMs. Use the link exchange potential that has been at your hand all the time.

Remember a few years ago Internet market had a boom of automatic link exchange directories? Hundreds of thousands of web sites grabbed the unique opportunity to automate their link exchange. And now almost every niche has web sites that use different automatic reciprocal link exchange scripts or software.

And these sites are super highly responsive to relevant link exchange offers. Plus with many sites you can get your link on their link exchange page within a few minutes - usual link exchange copy and paste routine that can easily be automated.

Benefits of harvesting on the web sites with automatic reciprocal link exchange directories:

- increased motivation for relevant link exchange;
- big number of web sites in any niche;
- your link will be standing on static pages (good for indexing);
- big field for automating all routine on finding site-partner and exchanging links with it.

On web sites with automatic link exchange scripts you will forget about 10% response to your offer about doing link swap. Link exchange comes to the new level. And with quality link exchange you are destined to see the increase in targeted free traffic from search engines.

3 Steps To Getting Hundreds Of Backlinks To Your Website Absolutely FREE

Link Popularity as you know plays a BIG part in your websites ranking within the Search Engines. So, the basic breakdown is, the more links pointing to your website, the higher up the search engines will rank your website.

More importantly though is getting those High PR websites linking back to yours.

The question at hand is… “How can I get those High PR links without having to buy High PR links and/or spend countless hours surfing the web for link partners with the possible potential of being denied?”

And as webmasters, we can not afford to waste time, especially if your starting out on a part time basis.

We must utilize every minute we can to getting the most out of our efforts.

So with that being said, I’m going to reveal to you the ‘Back Door’ strategy I use for getting those High PR links to your website Absolutely FREE and have them begging you to come back.

And the cool thing is this can be done following these 3 steps I’m about to mention so pay attention because if you do just this, you will not only get hundreds of backlinks to your website, you’ll also get hundreds, if not thousands of Targeted visitors to your website at the same time…

…all for FREE!

Are you ready?

Good, because I am.
Step #1. First you must write an Article.

The first step is to write an related article about your Product or Service that draws the reader in and gets them to click through to your website once they finish reading it to find out more about you and your Product or Service.

Now, your probably wondering why you have to write an article.

Well, it’s real simple actually because what do you get to put at the end of your article?

Your ‘Resource Box’ with your website information and most important of all… your URL pointing back to your website.

So when someone chooses to publish your article in their newsletter or on their website, blog or article directory, they MUST add your ‘Resource Box’ with your website information and URL.

I know some of you are saying… “I don’t know how to write an article” … well, your not alone.

Here are a few resources I’ve put together for you so you can get the basic idea of How-To structure your articles with ease or get someone else to write them for you.

The first is an article I wrote called… THE 7 Step Formula For Writing POWERFUL Articles In Less Than An Hour.

It will show you How-To structure your articles for easy writing. http://www.internetwondersezine.com/article_11.html

The second resource is Elance.com - http://www.elance.com - which is basically a place where you can go and submit a project by category and freelance writers, etc. will then bid on your project. You pick the winner and you set the budget.

This will get you started in the right direction.

Remember, your article is the Nuts and Bolts of this ‘Back Linking’ strategy, so make sure you put some effort into it to get it as much exposure as possible.
Step #2. Submit your article to Article Directories.

This is the next step and an important one at that because this is where your article or articles are going to get picked up by website owners and/or ezine publishers who are in constant need of fresh, quality information to feed their audiences hunger for information.

There are literally hundreds of Article Directories out there and thousands of ezine publishers looking for quality content on a daily basis. And if they choose your article for publication, they must include your ‘Resource Box’ with your websites information and URL.

It’s all about the numbers. The more Article Directories and websites you submit your articles to, the more potential Backlinks you’ll get to your website.

And since Article Directories have recently adopted RSS(Real Simple Syndication) technology into the mix your articles will even get More mileage without you lifting a finger, creating even more Backlinks to your website.

More on RSS in a minute.

Are you starting to see the Power behind writing your own articles.

I hope so.
Step #3. Create your own RSS Feed for your articles.

This last step is a very Powerful step as well.

What you need to do is set up your own RSS Feed for your articles.

Now, if you don’t know what RSS is here’s the basic definition…

RSS is by definition - an acronym for ‘Real Simple Syndication’ or ‘Rich Site Summary’, and the .XML extension is the format used for distributing your news headlines via the Web, which is known as ‘Syndication.

‘Syndication’ is where the TRUE power of RSS is unleashed, getting your message or information across the web in an INSTANT to websites, subscribers and/or readers who subscribed to your RSS Feed.
The easiest way for you to do this is to set up your own Blog either through…

Wordpress.org - http://www.wordpress.org

Or through…

Blogger.com - http://www.blogger.com

Wordpress is a little more advanced so I recommend if you don’t have alot of experience with Blogs or installing scripts that you go set up a Blogger blog which will only take you less than 5 minutes to do.

I’m just giving you some options, that’s all.

Once you’ve set up your Blog the only thing left for you to do is add you articles.

TIP: Make sure you hyperlink your URL and use Anchor Text with your most targeted keywords. By doing this the Search Engine spiders will rank your website higher under that keyword term you specify in your Anchor Text.

After you’ve added your articles all you have to do now is submit your new RSS Feed to RSS Directories and RSS Search Engines.

Here’s a few resources for you to get started with.

Ping-O-Matic - http://pingomatic.com

RSS Top 55 - http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55
That’s it.

Why Backlinks Are Important For Your Website\’s Search Engine Ranking

Like any investment, your website must start turning a profit as early as possible, and pulling the search engines is a critical component. There are several tools your site can use to get these rankings:1.Search-engine optimized text
2.Fresh content frequently
3.Links to your site from high-profile websites
4.Traffic to and from your site

The first two are all about how you put your web site together and subsequently work with it. The last one - quality inbound links- has nothing at all to do with your site, and if you work it properly, can give you both great rankings and pull in a surprising amount of traffic from sites other than search engines.

Once you start building up your traffic, your search engine ratings will stabilize, and your site will slowly grow. It’s a lot like starting a car - it takes a lot of energy to get it going, but once it’s running it only takes maintenance energy.

Article Submissions Services: Getting Those Inbound Links

Most people don’t know where to start with inbound links. Do you just email webmasters and ask? Buy advertising? Or do you offer your own site up as a link farm, encouraging your hard-won customers to visit someone else?

None of these are the best bet (though emailing webmasters, over time, is a good additional strategy). The best way you can get great inbound links is by using an article submission service.

These services use article directories, large online repositories of articles donated by webmasters like you, to build backlinks to your site. Each article you donate contains a resource box that points back to your website, in whatever format you desire. And you can donate the same article to hundreds of article directories.

You can do this yourself. But article submissions services know how to find the best directories, and have specialists who can enter your information in the often-tedious and time-consuming directories forms. It may be a better expenditure of your time to focus on that great content and building your business in other ways, while leaving the submissions to experts who can do it cheaply, efficiently, and properly.

Article submissions services understand the search engines and how they examine links, and can use this knowledge to benefit you. And because you can expect the search engines to change their methodology about every four to six months, with major changes every year and a half to a year, these services will always have the most up-to-date information on the best way to use links to enhance your placement.

While you may be able to build your website ranking yourself, it’s often better to seek help from people who have done it for years, at least the first few times you submit a site. Article submission services are your perfect ally when you’re chasing search engine rankings.

Appropriate Linking

There are only so many directories you can submit to, of course. Once you have maxed out your directory submission, you can start looking for webmasters to trade links with. There are a few things you should seek out in this case. Your link partners should be suitable for you, and you should be right for them as well. You should trade up as much as you can; look for pages with good rankings themselves. Don’t trade with a competitor; if you sell similar merchandise or if you’re both close together using the same keyword phrase, you should trade with someone else.
But link trading only works once your site has been built up in the search engines. Few webmasters are willing to trade links with a low-ranking site (would you?). For the quickest rankings boost, and for a great foundation that you can really start to work from, use mass articles submissions. It will set you apart and above your competition.

Joining Forums Can Boost Traffic And Be Fun

Are you looking to boost your websites traffic? But sometimes it’s challenging to get those links - while once trading links was the way to do it, today it’s hard to get those links with quality websites. This is partly because there’s not a lot of room on those websites anymore, but it’s also because reciprocal links, the way backlinks used to be arranged, aren’t as attractive to the good sites. You get much more out of a link to a more popular site than they get out of a link from yours. But if you offer something in exchange, your odds of getting that link go up a lot. The currency of exchange on the Internet is knowledge - quality website content. That’s why many webmasters are turning to article submission services to promote their websites.

Using Articles to Get Links

Original articles placed on other websites are a fantastic way to get links back to your site. Not only do original articles showcase your knowledge and skills, they also include something called a “resource box” at the end. This box contains your name with two or three lines of information about you and your business, and a link back to your website formatted in any way you wish.

Services like RCPLinks.com use original articles to place your one-way links. With specialized submission software, they can get your articles, containing your resource box, out to hundreds of websites. Once your article is posted, each of these websites will send out a one-way link to your site from that resource box; even better, the sites your article is placed on have good rankings on Google themselves.

Whatever Happened to Reciprocal Links?

Once upon a time, something like a year or two ago in the fast-moving world of the Internet, reciprocal links in which you agree to link to someone if they link to you were a great way to make your site look popular. But the techs at Google and other search engines figured this out. Their search engines have been cataloguing who links to whom for a while, and it wasn’t hard to figure out which pages linked to one another for no discernable reason except to spam links, and exclude those links.

This makes one-way links incredibly valuable. They’re the primary link type you can be certain will count for you in the search engine races.

Reciprocal Links: Not Dead Yet

Despite the controls the search engines place on reciprocal links to prevent artificial inflation of your site ranking, there is still a place for reciprocal linking.

Sites that link to one another and that have some similarity in content are the ones that search engines still use to add to your rankings. But you can’t do this with an automated submitter, though many online companies would like you to think you can.

Instead, you need to research manually and individually each potential link partner. You’ll need to identify the partner, determine the site’s suitability and compatibility for yours, and contact the webmaster to propose an exchange of links. This is amazingly time-consuming, but over time trading links can help you build your site ranking.

The best way to get your website jump-started in the rankings is through article submission. In the beginning, you need the web equivalent of a nitric oxide boost, not incremental steps. Trading reciprocal links can come later, when you have more time to devote to climbing in the ranks.

Check RcpLinks.com for quality one way link building services through manual article submission & directory submission service.

All You Need to Know About Your Website Traffic is Contained in 5 Key Stats

You built that content rich web page optimized for your Keyword phrases but is it really working? Some questions to ask yourself

Is your traffic well balanced between all the areas?

Does your traffic favor Search engines over Newsgroups and External pages.

If you concentrate your effort in one of these areas more then others did you get the expected result?

Where am I weakest?

Where am I strongest?

2 - Referring search engines

This Stat will list all the major search engines and tell you what percent of your search engine traffic came from each Search engine. It is best to concentrate on the Big 3 (Yahoo, MSN and Google). Google is the Most Popular Search engine with Yahoo a close 2nd and MSn 3rd.

Google Processes about 37% of all Internet Search requests

Yahoo Process about 35% of all Internet Search requests

MSN Process about 16% of all Internet Search requests

The remaining Internet Search requests are split between the rest of the search engines

Is the Search engine Traffic to your web page divided the same way? Does any search engine over perfrom or under perform it’s internet average?

3 - Referring sites

This will tell you which web pages are your best link partners. If you do article submissions or other forms of linking this will tell you how well this worked. I was shocked to see that 10% of all my non Search engine traffic came from 1 web page where I gave a testimonial.

4 - Search Keyphrases

Here you can see your Top 10 Keyword Phrases as well as a full list of your keyword phrases. Look over the top 10? Are those the one’s you expected? Are you surprised by the results? Where can you do better?

Next look over the full list? Do you have under achievers or over archives?

5 - Search Keywords

Unless you happen to be optimizing for a keyword like Babies, Pillows or Graduates you wouldn’t need to worry about this Stat. Most of the Keywords reported don’t give much useful information. If you are optimizing for a Keyword like babies then find babies in the list and see how well you are doing.

Content For Web Sites: Why Content Is King… And Where To Get Web Site Content

Getting content for web sites is one of the challenges every webmaster faces. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Content is king.” Have you ever wondered why content is king? And have you ever wished it was easier to find content for web sites?

Content is king for one reason: People surf for content. Each of the major search engines is only successful to the extent that it helps people find the web site content they are looking for. Whichever search engine helps people find that web site content the quickest becomes the most popular. The more popular the search engine is, the more money it makes from advertising.

That last paragraph contains the secret of why content is king. Search engines make money from advertising. And they make more money from advertising if they consistently help people find the web site content they are searching for.

Now that you know why content is King, the next question is: Where can you find content for web sites?

The two easiest sources for content for web sites are article directories and private label rights.

Article directories are huge directories of articles. In most cases, you are free to publish articles from the article directories on your web site and in your newsletters or ezines. Be sure to read each article directory’s terms of service, because some have limitations. But in general, article directories exist to give writers a place to publish their articles and to give publishers a place to get content for web sites and newsletters.

Article directories like EzineArticles.com and ElectricText.com provide content for web sites on almost any topic you need. You can also find hundreds of article directories that provide content for web sites with a simple search for “article directories” in any search engine.

There are two advantages to getting your web site content from article directories rather than from private label rights articles and eBooks:

1. Articles from article directories are normally free - you do not have to pay anything for the rights to publish the articles.

2. There are tens of thousands of articles available for web site content on virtually any topic you may need.

Private label rights can be acquired in a variety of ways. In general, private label rights mean you have the right to put your name on the product as the author. You can get private label rights articles, private label rights eBooks, even private label rights software and scripts.

For web site content, you want private label rights articles and eBooks. You can get private label rights articles and eBooks from membership web sites such as Gigantic Resale Rights.com that specialize in resale rights and private label rights products. You can use the articles for web site content more directly. And you can use many of the eBooks as content for web sites by breaking them up into articles or web pages.

There are two advantages to getting your web site content from private label rights articles and eBooks rather than from article directories:

1. Generally you can put your name as the author. You can include it as regular web content or as an article with your resource box at the end. Check the terms of service of the private label rights to determine your rights in using it as web site content.

2. Generally you can also (and in some cases must) edit and modify the text to make it unique. This is especially true if you have a private label rights eBook that grants you the rights to break it up into articles or pages as content for web sites. Again, be sure to check the terms of service of the private label rights to determine your rights.

Breaking up private label rights books into articles is a great way to get content for web sites. Why? Because it takes effort. Most people will not take the time and effort. If you do, you will have more unique content on your web site. Unique content is another aspect of “content is king.”

Search engines hunger for content. With articles from article directories and private label rights articles and eBooks, you can feed that hunger with an unending supply of content for your web sites. As the search engines gobble up your web site content, it won’t take long to understand why content is king!

Boost Your Traffic And Page Rank With These Free Tips

I am sure that most people who have a website are looking for an increase in traffic and a higher page rank. This article will give you free tips on how to do both.Pay per click

Pay per click is a form of paid advertising. Programs such as adwords from the search engine Google allow you to place an advert on the right hand side of their search results. If you are willing to pay a large amount of money per click you may even be placed above the normal search results. It is important to remember not to spend more on the adverts than you are likely to recive in income.

Paid text adverts

Paid text adverts is another of way of gaining visitors to your website and it also could increase your page rank. If the advert is on a high ranking page, this may well on its own lead you to moving up a level in your page rank. If the page has a large number of traffic, this could also be traffic directed to your website.

Writing articles

Writing articles like the one you are reading is another way of gaining traffic and a higher page rank. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website. Other webmasters are able to use the articles on their websites which creates you a one way backward link. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links.

Link exchange program

As I have just mentioned it is important to build up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program such as linkmetro helps you to do this.

Seo Elite - Dramatically Boosting Your Traffic And Search Engine Ranking

Seo Elite is the new software that claims to be able to boost your website traffic to over 15,000 visitors per day using only free search engine traffic. As most marketers will be aware, getting traffic to your website is a constant and demanding job, unless of course you are ranked top in the search engines like Google, MSN, and Yahoo, and let’s face it most of us are not at the top or anywhere near it. Seo Elite claims to be able to rectify this problem, boosting not only your traffic and ranking statistics but the sale of your products as well.

Seo Elite sounds like every marketers dream but what exactly do you get with this software program?
