Sorry for the ramblings.. it’s 5.30am here..

Last Sunday I attended the Game Changer Summit – a free seminar held from 9am to 7pm in Melbourne with the likes of Lisa Sasevich, Sean Roach, Mike Koenigs from Traffic Geyser and John Assaraf from The Secret.

Really was a long freaking day.. I never get up so early and was up at 4am.. by the time John Assaraf came on, I was falling asleep on the floor which is nothing at all to do with John – they just should’ve put him on earlier or not had so many speakers cos the day was sooo long… and by the time they reached him, I was completely exhausted, no matter how hard I tried to keep my eyes open, my body wasn’t obeying.

With that said, I took some notes from each of the speakers.. except by the time I got to John, I couldn’t even understand hardly any words that I had written, I was really *that* dead tired. But my notes are here anyway in case someone who attended the event wanted to see what I wrote.. even though they are likely not to make sense due to the note-taking being personal to what I got from it.

Lisa Sasevich

The notes I took the most of was the first speaker, Lisa. I think if her offer hadn’t been so out-of-this-world expensive, there is not a doubt in my mind, that everyone in the room would’ve bought from her, but her offer was $7,995 and she had just spent the last 30-40 mins telling us how to charge that much.. anyway, $7,995 is way out of my budget, even if I was one of the first 18 that could get it for “$2,997″ instead (*shaking head*) but the fact that everything is teleseminars and online meant that the ‘cost vs value for money’ meant that it just didn’t seem like a great “deal”, although there were some people running to the back of the room to buy – I guess they just had the money.

Sean Roach

Next up was Sean Roach, author of “Get Off Your Duff and Make Your Own Damn Cheese!” which I got a copy of since I upgraded to VIP – haven’t read it yet as I also got John Assaraf’s “The Answer” and decided to read that first. People went crazy for Sean Roach’s offer after he mentioned that he was adding a Kindle and an iPad 3 to the mix.

(Note, I didn’t take many notes from Sean because I didn’t really agree with a lot of what he was saying, and he completely lost me when he started trying to “sell-up” the clickbank offers and “your very own website” with the “?youraffiliateid” link… omg, totally lost credibility with that one (but got all the newbies in the room thinking “WOW, thats the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life”), but he was a very entertaining, fun speaker and definitely had the audience including myself loving his personality – he was the “Crowd Pleaser” out of all 4 speakers as far as keeping everyone engaged)

Mike Koenigs

Next up was Mike Koenigs, and in truthness, I only came to this event to see him. I get all my big clients onto Traffic Geyser and I’m a huge fan of Main St Marketing. I thought he was great on stage and was really happy with the information he shared, which is mostly all the stuff from Main St and I’m glad that I had some clients there so that they can now finally understand what it is that I do.. lol. Mike explains it better than me.

Anyway, got to meet him, asked a few questions (like, can I get it cheaper lol) – his “offer” was no different than what you can get already – I guess I was expecting more of a deal from an event like this but I guess these events are when you can charge even more. He was really trying to get across Text Message marketing but couldn’t even answer how much the messages are using his system, except to say that its done via credits (and when I last used its predecessor, Monster Followup, that credit system was confusing as heck so I didn’t continue with it and can’t recommend it to my clients… so I had hoped that the “new version” would make it easier for us to charge/explain to our clients or at least be able to give them a straight answer on costs).

And the other thing is, he didn’t really explain just how awesome Traffic Geyser is so he probably didn’t get as many sales as he could’ve but that’s good, Traffic Geyser should remain a marketer’s best kept secret ;)

John Assaraf

And finally, John Assaraf. The star of the show and it was very understandable why they had him on last – to keep everyone there until the end but gosh I so wish they had put him on earlier or “just” had John on a different day.

Compared to the others, John is a celebrity. Everyone was eating up everything he had to say, and even though the others may be millionaires, and very successful business people, you can “tell” that John is, you can “feel” his success. When you are listening to someone who is clearly successful and genuinely sincere that he has the information in order to get you there, you can tell, it doesn’t “feel” like you are being sold to, and that’s how I felt with John.

I think he’s said his speech a zillion times before and maybe he’s getting bored with it lol, but for someone listening for the first time, I just wished I was awake enough to figure out what he was talking about, lol, but I got enough out of it to make sure that his book is the first that I read – and I’m reading a chapter per night at the moment and the content is so unexpected and really interesting as far as researching how the brain works, science and an extension and better explanation of how to apply the ‘law of attraction’ – and how he’s turning that complicated subject matter towards having a successful business.. well, I’m thinking this book is the start of what I need to get my mindset right but also to have a full understanding of why you always get what you’ve always got.
