On these cold and snowy days, I want to think about summer and warm days . One of the last weddings of the 2011 was a romantic intimate wedding of a german couple, in a sunny Sorrento in October. Thanks Claudia and Antonella for the lovely pictures!
In questi giorni freddi e nevosi voglio pensare all' estate e alle giornate calde. Uno degli ultimi matrimoni del 2011 è stato un matrimonio romantico ed intimo di una coppia tedesca a Sorrento nel mese di Ottobre. E' stata una giornata calda e soleggiata di fine estate. Grazie a Claudia e Antonella per le belle foto!

DIY SUGAR HEART – CUORI DI ZUCCHERO FAI DA TE

You will need:
Two cups sugar (or more, depending on the number of colors you want), divided
4 teaspoons (or more) egg white
Paste food coloring
Large cutting board, baking sheet or other flat surface, lined with parchment paper
Baking sheet lined with Silpat or parchment paper
Small cookie cutters
Additional:
Small and medium bowls | spatulas | rolling pin | measuring spoons | measuring cups | ziplock bags | butter | knife
For a gift:
3 x 4-inch treat bags | colored ribbon |

Avrete bisogno di :
Due tazze di zucchero (o più, a seconda del numero di colori che si desidera), divise
4 cucchiaini da tè (o più) di albume d'uovo
Pasta colorante alimentare
Tagliere grande, teglia da forno o un'altra superficie piana, foderata con carta da forno o Teglia rivestita di carta forno
Formine piccole per biscotti
In aggiunta:
Ciotole piccole e medie | spatole | mattarello | misurini | burro | coltello
Per un regalo:
bustine trasparenti di circa 7 x 10 cm | nastri colorati |

Step 1.
Place ½ cup sugar in medium bowl. Add a small amount of paste food coloring (it was used a combination of Wilton’s Rose and Violet), and mix thoroughly. This will be your darkest color. (Hint: A little goes a long way and will darken once liquid is added in next step.) Add more if needed until desired color is achieved. Add 1 teaspoon egg white or meringue liquid and mix thoroughly until the mixture resembles wet sand. Be careful not to add too much liquid or you will dissolve the sugar.

Fase 1.
Mettere ½ tazza di zucchero in una ciotola media. Aggiungere una piccola quantità di colorante alimentare (qui è stata usata una combinazione di Wilton Rose e Viola), e mescolare accuratamente. Questo sarà il tuo colore più scuro.

Step 2.
Empty contents onto Silpat or parchment lined cutting board or baking sheet. Spread with hand or spatula and pat down, then roll over mixture with rolling pin to compress. Ideally, the flattened mixture should be as compact as possible and level, about ¼”. Press heart cutter into mixture and lift up. Place hearts on lined baking sheet. If cutter will not release heart, gently tap with the back of a butter knife. Repeat 10-20 times or as many as desired. If hearts will not hold their shape, add more egg white or meringue liquid in small increments and mix thoroughly. If sugar builds up in cutter, rinse with warm water and pat dry before continuing. Pour remaining colored sugar back into bowl and proceed to Step 3.

Fase 2
Svuota il contenuto sul tagliere o teglia da forno ricoperto con la carta da forno. Stendere lo zucchero a mano o con spatola, poi usare il mattarello e cercare di comprimere la miscela . L’ideale è che la miscela sia il più compatta possibile e piatta, di circa ¼ di livello. Posa la formina a cuore sulla miscela e poi solleva. Se la miscela non ha la forma perfetta di un cuore ,picchiettare delicatamente con il dorso di un coltello da burro. Ripetete 10-20 volte o quante più desiderate. Se il cuore non terrà la forma, aggiungere più bianco d'uovo a piccole dosi e mescolare accuratamente. Se lo zucchero si accumula nel taglierino sciacquare con acqua tiepida e asciugare prima di continuare. Versare il rimanente zucchero colorato di nuovo nella ciotola e procedere alla fase 3.

Step 3.
Add ½ cup sugar to colored sugar from Step 2 to lighten. Mix thoroughly. Add 1 teaspoon egg white or liquid meringue. If desired color is not achieved, continue adding additional ½ cup sugar plus 1 teaspoon egg white or liquid meringue and mixing thoroughly until desired color is achieved. Repeat Step 2. Continue with Steps 2 and 3 until desired shades and number of sugar hearts are achieved. We recommend at least three to five shades. Leftover sugar can be stored in ziplock bags for future use.

Fase 3
Aggiungere ½ tazza di zucchero alla miscela di zucchero colorato dal punto 2 per schiarirla. Mescolare accuratamente. Aggiungere 1 cucchiaino di albume d'uovo. Se il colore non viene raggiunto, continuare ad aggiungere ulteriori ½ tazze di zucchero e 1 cucchiaino di albume d'uovo , mescolando bene fino a quando si ottien il colore desiderato . Ripetere la fase 2. Continuare con i passaggi 2 e 3 fino a raggiungere la tonalità desiderata e il numero di cuori di zucchero che si necessitano. Si consiglia almeno 3-5 sfumature.

Step 4.
Heat oven to 200 degrees. Heat hearts in oven for 10 minutes. Allow to harden overnight. Sugar hearts will be the consistency of sugar cubes.

Fase 4
Riscaldate il forno a una temperatura di 200°. Cuocete i cuori per 10 minuti. Lasciarli indurire tutta la notte. I cuori di zucchero avranno la consistenza di una zolletta di zucchero.

Gift idea:
Place 10-20 sugar hearts in treat bag. Staple ribbon to bags. Tie ribbon. Can be given as gifts or used as favors.
Idea regalo:
Ponete 10-20 cuori di zucchero in una bustina trasparente, aggiungete un nastro e fate un fiocco. Un’idea per un regalino o come bomboniere.

I think that the South Tyrol and the Dolomites offer the perfect venues for a short break holiday or for a romantic marriage proposal. Particularly in this time of year, with the magic of the advent and the snowy landscapes, any place and any time become the perfect occasion to declare love, during a sleigh ride, after skiing, or at a dinner by candlelight.

Penso che il sud tyrol e le dolomiti offrono delle location perfette per un piccola vacanza romantica oppure per una proposta di matrimonio. In particolare in questo periodo dell'anno , con la magia dell'avvento e i paesaggi innevati, ogni luogo e occasione diventa il momento perfetto per dichiararsi, durante una gita in slitta, dopo una sciata , oppure durante una cena a lume di candela.

.. I begin to think about at Christmas gifts and what about Milan as shopping city ?

Milan is rich of lights and colors in this period of the year as other cities around the world.

Take a walk on Vittorio Emanuele and under the Gallery, some photo shoots under the Christmas tree in Duomo square and an hot chocolate at the Cafè "Zucca in Galleria"

If you like the Christmas Markets, you don't have to loose the "Obei Obei " fair from the 5th to the 10th of december. On the 7th of December, Milanese people celebrate their Patron Saint spending their free time purchasing their first Christmas gifts in the historical “Obej Obej” Fair: this is a traditional Christmas market visited every year by a great number of people and organized all around the Sant’Ambrogio Basilica. A christamas market from Trentino is also arranged in Piazza Portello from the 25th november till the 31th december, traditional mountain cottages, where you can find honey, spirits, christmas decorations and craft toys.

An international big christmas market is "Artigianato in Fiera" , from 3th to 11th december at the new fair-ground in Rho ( Milan), here you can find artisan traditions and cultures of every country in the World. A good place to find an original gift!

I would like also to suggest also a christmas village "Villaggio delle Meraviglie" at the gardens of Porta Venezia, a special place for children Here you can find the elves market, the Santa Claus' sleigh, the Santa's house and the skating rink.

Il terzo e quarto giorno dell' Avvento...inzio a pensare ai regali di Natale, cosa ne dite di Milano, la città dello shopping? Milano , in questo periodo dell'anno, si riempe di luci e colori come altre città nel mondo. Fate una passeggiata in corso Vittorio Emanuele o nella Galleria, le foto sotto l'albero di Natale in piazza Duomo e una cioccolata calda presso il Caffè "Zucca in Galleria".

Se vi piacciono i mercatini di Natale, non dovete perdere la fiera degli Obei Obei dal 05 al 10 dicembre. Il 07 dicembre i milanesi festeggiano il loro Santo Patrono e passano il tempo libero, comprando i primi regali di Natale nello storico mercatino, visitato ogni anno da un grand numero di persone e organizzato vicino alla basilica di Sant' Ambrogio.

Un mercato di Natale del Trentino è organizzato in Piazza Portello dal 25 novembre fino al 31 dicembre: tradizionali casette di legno , dove si possono trovare miele, liquori, addobbi natalizi e giocattoli artigianali.

Un grande mercato internazionale di Natale è l' "Artigianato in Fiera", dal 03-11 dicembre presso il nuovo polo fieristico di Rho (Milano), qui si possono trovare le tradizioni artigianali e le culture di ogni paese nel mondo. Sparkling Christmas wedding inspiration

Hi everyone, less than 1 month to Christmas and, as I love this period of the year, I begin to think at decorations, lights and sweets. So I put together a Christmas wedding inspiration and some ideas for a sparkling wedding. Crystal, sparkles, gems, silver and twinkle lights will decor your event.

Whatever the venue is a castle, a mountain cottage, a modern loft or the ballroom of the grand hotel, decorate it with white crystal trees, a lots of candles and christmas lights.

Ciao a tutti, manca meno di un mese a Natale e, visto che amo questo periodo dell'anno, inizio a pensare alle decorazioni, luci e dolci. Quindi ho messo insieme un'ispirazione per un matrimonio natalizio e alcune idee per un matrimonio scintillante. Cristalli, brillantini, gemme, argento e lucine decoreranno il tuo evento.

Qualunque sia la location: un castello, un cottage di montagna, un loft moderno o la sala da ballo di un Grand hotel, scegliete di decorarla con alberi bianchi con cristalli, tante candele e lucine natalizie.

The recepion table must reflect the theme, so go for an elegant white tree with crystals garlands as centerpiece or some silverplated vases with white season flowers, white berries and grey leaves. Add some sparkling tiny gems and of course a lot of small candles. What about a silver chocolate lollipop as placecard or a napking ring ? To add more sparkle the rhinestone wedding camera!

Il tavolo del ricevimento deve rispecchiare il tema, quindi scegli come centrotavola un albero bianco con ghirlande di cristalli oppure dei vasi argentati con fiori bianchi di stagione, bacche bianche e foglie di color grigio. Che ne dite come segnaposto di un lecca-lecca di cioccolato in carta argentata o un anello con finto diamante portatovagliolo? Per aggiungere più scintille: la macchina fotografica usa-e-getta con gli strass!

Cosa c'e' di più romantico che una fuga d'amore sul Lago di Como? Corbin è stata grande e gli scatti hanno catturato un giorno emozionante sul lago di Como.
