When it comes to the wedding speech, even though you might want to keep the contents a surprise it helps to compare note so that there is no repetition of the content. this goes for groom speeches and father of the bride speeches but particularly the Brides speech. this is why it maybe a good idea to discuss at least the outline of the bride and groom speech with your better half.

Way Over the Top Wedding Speeches?

OK, I know this Groom makes us all look pretty bad after this. I guess the groom doesn’t have any hang ups writing or delivering his masterful groom wedding speech or doing any wedding toast for that matter. Anyway a bit cheesy and too nicey nicey at time for my personal taste, but the video is great in a sense to remind us that we don’t have to be all way over the top when it comes to our wedding speech. A lot of wedding speakers are always trying to come up with funny wedding speeches or any type of unique wedding speech. What they overlook quite often in the process is the one of the most important parts; themselves

The problem lies here, you are not at work doing a presentation or speech, you are with the family and friends that really know you!. And when you attempt to be something you are not familiar with, trust me, they will quickly notice and fast. So one simple tip for today is, be yourself, just try to relax, be honest with them, keep it simple, be caring, but be yourself at all costs. My brides wedding speech was successful because of the tips and guides I learned from the internet. I was afraid that I won’t be able to make a speech because I have not written anything since college, but I did it thanks to the tips that I will share here.

Before I got hold of the tips, I was feeling very afraid of delivering a sub-par brides wedding speech. I don’t want to embarrass myself in my own wedding, I want to impress and give a good showing of myself.

The tips that I will give you here will assume that you can write high school level essays. This will ensure that your speech will at least be conversational and casual in tone and voice.

The first thing to remember is to write out multiple drafts of your speech. You can either use pen and paper or better yet a good word processor to help you write out your draft. If you have a computer and you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars buying a word processor, Google Docs is free and quite effective for the task at hand.

Second, when writing down your speech or toast, think about the main theme that you want to impart to the listeners. Do you want your speech to be funny? Do you want your speech to be inspirational. Just think about one theme and stick with it through the end. Don’t stray from the main theme to make your speech cohesive and succinct.

Third, make the tone of your speech conversational and causal. Use short sentences and don’t be afraid to bend the English grammar a bit. The truth is people don’t talk the way they write, but you can write the way you talk.

Fourth, use simple words. Don’t use 100 dollar words from the dictionary that no one will understand. Your audience are of different backgrounds and you want to cater to all of them. So use metaphors and strong imagery in your speech rather than dictionary words.

These are great tips I picked up that helped me write a good brides wedding speech on my wedding. I was so proud of myself because I made something that had a profound effect on my husband and the people listening. I made a great speech that made the wedding complete.

At most weddings these days a champagne toast is very common and you will find that more often than not, there is more than one champagne toast happening. This is the time when friends and family get a chance to give their regards and best wishes to the newly married couple.

If there is one thing that is going to lift a wedding speech from the very depths of despair, it has to be some patented wedding humor. Weddings are great places to find all sorts of humor and jokes running amok and if you naturally have a funny bone in your body, you would do well to let it loose, especially if you are deep in the throes of writing a speech.

Wedding humor is also great in that, applied generously and appropriately it can breathe life to just about anything that you say. Of course, wedding humor is also a double edged sword. You will need to keep it as clean as possible to account for any children and people with easily offended sensibilities who are listening in, and who might be lurking in the audience.

If you have rowdy or bawdy jokes which are best left in the locker room, leave it for a more appropriate time, and for a group of people who would definitely appreciate those sentiments. Another thing that makes wedding humor a double edged sword is the very nature of the humor itself. Your humor and jokes might be great, but have you ever heard of such a thing as, too much of a good thing? Yes, there are limits to humor as well, and if you are slated to give a wedding speech, using the clichéd, and non-clichéd, bits of wedding humor can be a great thing and can keep your audience awake for the entire time. If you don't feel comfortable memorizing your speech, bring index cards with keywords that you can quickly refer to at a glance.

Try to make as much eye contact with the crowd as you can.

Keep your speech short and sweet.

If you're nervous, just say so. Apologize ahead of time if you happen to stumble on your words and ask the crowd to bear with you.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.... THEN PRACTICE SOME MORE....

Read your speech in front of a mirror than ask a friend to listen. Get comfortable reading it aloud in front of people before the big day.
