OUR STYLIZED WEDDING SHOOT Spring Tuscan Wedding Inspiration FEATURED ON STYLE ME PRETTY

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Fri, 27 Mar 2015 15:21:00 +0000

A month ago I met Danielle Yashar and Israeli Photographer who was, with her husband, working in Florence for 2 weeks
Together with the superb Jardin Divers florists we all met in a beautiful typical Tuscan villa to create a spring wedding inspiration shoot for the couples of spring and summer 2015.

We combined the color trends of this year: fuchsia and yellow next to a gentle touch of white, gold and lilac.
The main theme which led us was the guest’s point-of-view: a warm welcome to a wedding where you can taste, smell and see Tuscany in every corner! There was a special attention to the local elements like the food and drinks so the guests could really feel the uniqueness of this kind of destination wedding. A combination of classic and rustic decor is the perfect Tuscany welcoming.

I'm so glad I can finally share this with you

Jonny and Carolina June 2014

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Wed, 10 Dec 2014 09:45:00 +0000

Our clients and now friends, Carolina & Jonny got married on June 2014

The wedding took place at a beautiful private country villa .The ceremony was filled with a few happy tears, but mostly laughs. The dinner area was so picturesque with a dramatic chandelier and just beyond it was an amazing backdrop of the tuscan countryside.
Their wedding mixed rustic romance with country chic touches.

During the months of planning, we always enjoyed our time together, and even though I knew I could be very good friends with these bride and groom

Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding journey!
It was an honor and I am so grateful to now call you both friends

What can I say, it's hard to fit into words my gratitude for Chiara and her team. Chiara was not only our wedding planner at the end of our wedding day but a true friend for life. I miss our almost daily emails!!! Her dedication, hard work, thoughtfulness, and understanding of me and my expectation for our day was really unbelievable, she responded to every email, every Skype request and never moaned or complained (and I emailed a lot!!). She managed my expectation and delivered the most beautiful day. Friends and family were overwhelmed at how perfect it was and I can honestly say our wedding could not have gone more smoothly (apart from maybe the rain in the morning but Chiara even believed that would stop and she was right)!

I would never hesitate to recommended Weddings in Tuscany, they are truly the team you need to get things done for your wedding in Italy and their amazing ness keeps you calm even in the most stressful times. As a controlling perfectionist I'm not always easy to keep happy as my new husband knows (haha) but Chiara fulfilled our dreams beyond expectation and Elena did an amazing job with the ceremony. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts doesn't feel like enough. We will forever treasure our time with Chiara and the team and our wonderful wedding day too of course. Please contact me via Chiara if you want a reference.

"We selected Weddings in Tuscany based on a recommendation from the owner of Villa Il Pozzo, where we held our wedding in August and we couldn't have been happier with the service provided by Chiara and Elena.

After only a few emails, Chiara seemed to have an intuitive understanding of the style and type of wedding we wanted and provided perfect recommendations, suggestions and options to suit.

We must have exchanged hundreds of emails with Chiara during the planning stage, and no request seemed too much trouble, even though we changed our minds on countless things! Elena was also really professional in organising the paper work and guiding us through the legalities.

Chiara has a very good selection of contacts to choose from. It would be near impossible to find reliable suppliers of the same standard and quality without drawing upon her experience. The florists, musician, hairdresser, photographers, audio rental company and caterers were all brilliant. All this made for a very smooth and stress free wedding day.

We have to mention the food. Without a doubt the wedding meal was the best food we had during our week in Tuscany....and we had some VERY good meals that week!

Perhaps what blew us away most though, was just how beautiful the reception looked when we arrived back from the ceremony. All of Chiara's efforts came together wonderfully and it all looked incredibly elegant and romantic. Many of our guests commented that it was the best, and most stylish wedding they had attended. It was certainly the best day of our lives!

Thank you Chiara and Elena!!"

We found Chiara and Elena through Chiara's blog and read some great reviews from the previous couples she helped. Because my fiance and I both lived in different countries (neither of them being Italy) and neither of us spoke Italian, having Chiara help us out was essential. She and Elena were extremely easy to work with and made everything as stress-free as possible for us. Chiara was very responsive via email and/or skype and helped remind us what we needed to think about in what order. She had great advice for vendors without pushing us to choose any with whom she'd worked previously. This gave us the freedom to make decisions that were important to us (e.g, photographer/flowers) and let her expertise guide our decisions on things we weren't as picky about (e.g., DJ). Elena was extremely helpful with all of the legal paperwork. She reminded us what we needed to do in our home country prior to the wedding and met us several times the week of the wedding to work out everything we needed to do in Italy. They were also incredibly helpful with organizing accommodations and events for our guests during their visit. We had a wonderful pizza party the evening before the wedding and took a bus tour to a couple wineries the day after the wedding. The guests were all extremely pleased and complimented us on our organization and ability to coordinate all of these activities, but it was really thanks to Chiara and Elena's hard work. If you're having a destination wedding in Tuscany, hiring Chiara and Elena is worth every penny!Sara and Ross from USA

The Historic Villas and Gardens of Lucca

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Mon, 07 Jul 2014 11:53:00 +0000

Lucca the pearl of Tuscany
The economic power of one-time of Lucca nobles families is showed by the fantastic buildings both inside and outside the walled city centre. Beautiful noble mansions were always surrounded by magnificent gardens, with references to those seen abroad, for instance in Versailles.

If you are looking for an exclusive wedding venue, Renaissance villas with magnificent Italian-style gardens , Lucca could be a perfect frame for your wedding in tuscany.
We organized and planned a wedding shoot last Friday in one of the most beautiful and well preserved baroque garden in Europe with a number of pagan statues, fountains and cascading water , at the foot of a series of terraces and symmetrical staicases connecting the lower water gardens at the base of the hill. The garden has a bamboo wood, mythological statues, caves, greenhouses, bridges and a maze.On the outer edge of the garden there is a garden theatre complete with statues of Comedy and Tragedy.
Contact us if you would like to get marry in this beautiful garden.
If you wish, we can also organize your ceremony and reception on site in a Baroque atmoshere. Guests will be plunged in the typical atmosphere of a fifteenth century banquet gladdened by the sound of antique instruments, the sweet voice of a soprano and dances of the period.
Waiters, musicians and dancers wear beautiful Renaissance costumes, and the same may be for customers

Our stylized Shoots Bohemian wedding inspiration on Stile Me Pretty and on Fly Away Bride !

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Wed, 04 Jun 2014 21:57:00 +0000

We are super excited to be featured in StyleMePretty and FlyAwayBride with these two editorial shootings !

We Love weddings,we LOVE the madness of planning a wedding
and all the beautiful details that make each wedding unique, but a styled shoot, allows us to be more free with our creative
tendencies.
We bring our ideas to life !!

TODAY! Having our work featured on two such incredible wedding publications is an honor.
Luckily for us, these dreams keep coming true and we are still pinching ourselves. However, the final result of these styled shoots would be nothing if it weren’t for the visions, , hard work and time our vendors put into each one. Pinned to a mutual Pinterest board, and emailed back and forth for weeks until a cohesive look and feel was decided on.

The amount of work that goes into one of these styled shoots is incredible. It’s actually a little crazy to think we all do this for fun… but it is SO much FUN! Thankfully, the work was recognized and the final photos are now being used to inspire engaged couples as they plan their wedding day. In the end it’s always worth the effort.

The Top 10 Do's and Don'ts of Planning a Wedding in Tuscany

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Mon, 02 Jun 2014 09:44:00 +0000

1)First Skype with a possible wedding planner.

When a bride –to be and a groom to-be contact us, we suggest to arrange a Skype call to introduce ourselves. On this first meeting, we are usually quite concise and risk to look brusque. We tend to ask for essential questions, which allow us to understand those few particulars from which your wedding will take shape. Therefore, although it might seem that we do not want to waste our time, remember that we need a few details to begin to work on your event, that will be shaped, thanks to our correspondence during the months prior to your wedding. On the other hand, please do prepare a list of questions (even those that you may consider “silly”) for us. We will be glad to answer!

2)SHOPPING AROUND

I the long and rough process to choose a wedding planner, you might be tempted to shop around, contacting tons of wedding planners, who offer various service at different costs. The market, nowadays, offer anything you might ask for. Nevertheless, consider the risk you are running. In fact, in the last few years countless agencies of wedding planners arose in Italy, improvised people, who are convinced that you need no special skill to do this job. Some of them praise a long experience in the creation of events, which is not true! Experience is the key word. Look for experienced professionals, who have already organized numerous events. Do not contact too many wedding planners, because you can get lost. Choose the ones that stroke your attention and not the ones, whose services are too cheap. Customized weddings, based on the couple’s personality require attention to details, design and creativity, time and care.

3)Be flexible with the date and the season. Saturdays are prime days as anywhere else. The high season starts mid-June and lasts until beginning of September, August being the busiest and priciest month. If you chose a venue with accommodation at peak time, you will have to hire it for a week, not just a few days.

Reduce the number of guests if your mind is set on a particular expensive location or venue. Do not rely on a drop in numbers, because it’s abroad.

4) Once you have decided on a Wedding Coordinator, trust them to do their job. You and your Wedding Coordinator have a common goal; to create the best wedding you can have. Let them find the best vendors for you, after all, that is what you hired them for.

5)DO consider a florist. It always scares me when brides say they don’t need a florist. Maybe their aunt knows where to get them from the farmers market or they think it’ll be a fun project the morning of the wedding. It won’t be, I swear. From a planning perspective, this leaves SO much room for error. What if the flowers you love are out of season? How will you store them? Where will you store them? How will everyone get his or her flowers? What will the centerpieces be displayed in? How much do the vessels cost in which to display them? I could go on.

I completely understand that flowers can be expensive. (I’m understating here) But a really, truly great florist will be able to create something wonderful from the smallest of budgets. You don’t need a huge bridal bouquet.

6) DO budget Work out your finance very early

Being realistic about your budget is essential. Don’t fool yourself with a figure knowing you can go over it. You will only be hurting your chances of selecting the best possible vendors. Your wedding planner is your accountant and will believe the budget you give them. They honestly try to work within your parameters. Therefore, decide on a realistic figure so your wedding planner can recommend the vendors who will deliver the best work within your budget.

A wedding planner serves as a financial advisor and accountant for you.

7) Do not follow trends. With social media and all the different images we have out there now, it's easy for people to get carried away copying celebrities or dresses. Ultimately your wedding should be an authentic representation of you! Peruse trends and carefully consider if it matches your unique self. Focus on something unique to you. In the long and complicated process of organizing a destination wedding overseas, brides are often tempted by fancy blogs. In these colourful and inexhaustible inspiration sources, you can pick up thousands of fantastic ideas, I agree. I often amuse myself, having a look at beautiful, astonishing and funny pictures. Some of the creations shown in them are simply beautiful, others are undoubtedly fancy but unrealistic and extremely expensive at the same time. The decorations that will embellish your wedding must reflect your personality, beyond fashion and the standardized ideas, imposed by the medias. Consider deeply what your taste and passions are, while creating your special day. We will be there for you, close to you, step by step, to help you create your customized event. Unique and unforgettable. Yours!

8)Do - Enjoy the moment! You will likely only have one wedding! It can be a fun and excellent way to connect with your loved ones

and fiance.

9)DO Pick your venue first – NOT your wedding date.

Brides tend to lock down a date before anything else, but I recommend them picking their dream venue first. Locking yourself down to a set date will likely limit your venue options, as there are many other brides out there booking weddings too. We suggest having a wedding date window of opportunity — a few weeks to a month

10) Vendor meals: "Be sure you remember to feed the people that are working nonstop to make your day flawless! You’ll be expected to give your final guest count to your caterer within two weeks of your day, but don’t forget to include the number of vendors you’ll have so that the caterer can prepare simple meals for them, separate from your guests. Most caterers will count your vendor meals less than half-price, so be sure to include your band members, photographer, videographer (and any second shooters), as well as your planner and their assistants."

Working with a wedding planner- Wedding in Tuscany

noreply@blogger.com (Weddings in Tuscany) — Mon, 31 Mar 2014 11:12:00 +0000

The key to a successful working relationship with your wedding planner is uniting together as an invincible team.

Trust your wedding planner

When you consider the expense of a professional helping with your wedding, and the degree of involvement they have in the details, you can see how important it is to have a level of trust that transcends the emotional ups and downs that are also a part of planning your wedding day. They will be the go between with your vendors, your venues, and even your bridal party.

Review

Now that you have asked the important first questions, the planners will invariably want to meet with you, and discuss your wedding in greater detail. Do not book a planner for this appointment unless you are truly interested in hiring them for your wedding. It will simply waste your time and theirs. Let them know that you will get back with them as soon as possible if you decide to book them. Then, take the information you have and narrow down your choices to those who you believe would be a good fit for what you want.

Trust who you book. You've done your homework. Relax, let them do their job. Communicate. Do not avoid discussing concerns along the way. If plans may need to be changed tell your planner as soon as you know about the potential for change. See your planner as your partner, not your slave. Yes you are paying them, but, you hired them because they know what they're doing and you need that expertise. Trust them.

Your wedding planner not only wants your trust, he or she needs it. There is no way to accomplish what you have set before them if they feel you don't trust them. Knowing that doesn't make it easy, and often there is a concerned friend or loved one that makes letting go even more difficult. Whether it be out of love and concern for you or out of their own personal issues with your hiring of a wedding planner, the fact is, no one can disrupt your wedding plans more than this person often does. If they are being protective they see the planner as an outsider, a stranger, who is not welcome at such a personal event. If they are acting out of personal issues, they see the planner as an enemy to be defeated. If you find yourself in this situation it needs to be resolved quickly. The longer the problem goes on the more volatile it becomes. Your planner should not be put in the position of resolving the conflict, as this isn't usually effective anyway. You must deal with it yourself. Allowing them to continue is an open invitation to their questioning the plans, stepping in and changing things, and potentially causing your planner to end your contract.

You hired your planner because you trusted their credentials, or you felt a connection between the two of you, or you liked their handling of other events. Whatever the reason, you chose them. Now trust your choice and support your planner. Let your loved ones know that this planner has your trust.

Expectation

A wedding planner is not a caterer, or a florist, or a dishwasher, but, many are willing and/or able to do those things. The fact is, most wedding planners come from one of the industries involved with event production such as floral design, and can bring that expertise to the table, but, that does not mean your planner in particular has that background. Read the contract you sign carefully so you know what your planner will provide. If they do not say they will set up your reception then do not expect that they will roll out tables and chairs and physically set them up. If the contract states they coordinate set up, that means they can arrange for manual labor to set up tables and chairs. You are not hiring a worker, you are hiring a professional. You would no sooner expect your dentist to clean your teeth, or your doctor to answer the phones at the reception desk.

Weddings Cost Money

The worst thing a bride can say to their planner is that they don't know what their budget is. That's a red flag to any wedding planner that there probably isn't any budget, and this bride is probably going to expect a miracle. Most planners will not take on a job without the budget clearly established, after all, how can you plan anything if you have no idea what you are working with by way of resources. If you need help setting a budget, a planner can help you with that, but, you have to have some idea where the money is coming from. The budget a planner puts together will either indicate what percentage of your overall budget each item on your wish list will require, or, will tell you a round figure for each item giving you a total ballpark figure for your overall budget based on your plans. Either way, the finances of your wedding need to be established before you can move forward.

Once you have decided on your budget and your planner agrees that your plans are realistic for that budget amount, understand that anything you add or change about the plans can and often do cost more money. The closer you get to your wedding date the more things cost. It's the simple law of supply and demand. If you wait til the week of your wedding to hire a vendor or add an item the odds are that addition will likely cost more because the vendor either needs to hire more workers if their existing staff are already booked, or, they have to pay overtime, for whatever reason they have the right to charge more for a last minute booking. Alternatively, deleting something at the last minute can cost money even though you are not using it. Floral orders cannot always be cancelled, nor can catering orders always be cancelled. Food and flowers have an expiration timeline, and if they are already ordered they must be paid for whether they are used or not. Most florists and caterers have this written clearly into their contract. Changing venues can also cost you the deposit for cancellation. Your wedding planner will try to work within your budget, but, prices can change, and that can mean you will either have to come up with more money or change your plans.

In the end, your wedding planner, when chosen carefully, and then trusted and communicated with, will give you the wedding you want at the price you dictate.

Get in the Trust Tree
If placing complete trust in your planner is difficult for you, remember that s/he has not only your best interests at heart, but his/her professional interests as well. This may be your first trip down the aisle, but an accomplished planner has been involved in countless weddings. Bottom line – make sure you can trust your wedding planner to pull off your event with success, then give them the space to do it. Any good planner or coordinator (I tend to use the words interchangeably) will tell you that their role isn’t to take that control away from you. A good planner will want to work with you, not against you. You are their client, and they want to make sure that they are there for you, so that you can have the most amazing wedding possible; the wedding you’ve always dreamed of. You make the important decisions, and they help stitch it all together.

Like any good relationship, your relationship with your wedding planner, or any wedding vendor, is based on trust. You need to trust them, that they understand your vision and will be able to bring it to life- even if you can’t convey what exactly your vision is in words. You need to trust that they are on your side, and that they are doing what is best for you. Wedding planning is a crazy ride, full of passion and impulsive decision
