And I think that a lot of people would agree when I say that: "The biggest star ever isn´t interesting when it dazzles you in the eyes.. it´s when you suddenly pay attention to it and how it slowly grows but still shines with style"

..every day you see people, every person has a story with plenty of eras that you could understand just if you where that person per se.. that´s a lot of interesting storys! Sometimes books aren´t enough, there are enough tales all around you. One of my tales that I experienced so far is actually when I was networking.

I needed to se fashion, design and art through other peoples eyes. I met a fashion designer by a great chance, Heike Heldsdörfer. I asked things like a curious child would have asked. And I got honest and sweet answers back. She is also a stylist, I had the opportunity to see her work. And I loved it! This is her latest work made in the water. The inspiration for this screen print has somehow always been there for me. A faith. All meetings in life that shapes us. Bad or good are good! The idea is to illustrate a feeling about what makes me believe.. that no one is born without empathy! If I want people to treat me well I do have to treat them well as well! Of course! The golden rule! It´s simple, I don´t think there is a better one.

The illustration on the t-shirts consists of people trying to reach out an helping hand. Young, old, women, men and children! All people need each other!

This is a fabric with the same print draped on a tailor´s dummy.

This is an art history project. The choice of inspiration was quite optional but we had to have one art epoch. We where four students in our group. Two of us are studying interior design, one is studying photography and I, fashion design. Each of us had to do something from our own direction but yet work together. We made a photo shoot! I designed the outfit that consists of two skirts that is very wide. The light pink skirt are shorter and with more drapings on one side. Click on the photos to see the details better.

The orange skirt are much longer from the sides and short in front and back. The long sides could be pulled up or down. When it was shoot I pulled up one side, I wanted it to be asymmetrical. I had also black and gold band at the bottom of the skirt. I was inspired of Alphonse Mucha´s painting below. I felt that everything where librate in the wind and was very asymmetrical but yet so harmonic. It was´nt that difficult to make it look nice because the model could look gorgeous in anything!

The interior designers used real tree limbs that where painted gold, and they had paper flowers on, that they cut from a garden magazine. I thought that was really clever! Because you could´nt imagine that it´s just paper on the photos.

We brought our inspiration from Art Nouveau, art that was very popular at the end of 1800 century.

The name Art Nouveau is french for "new art". It is also called Jugendstyle, that´s german for "youth style". It is characterized by organic, especially floral and other plant inspirations.

Art and design where inspired by fruit and seed pods and lamp stands as tall stems. Long slender female characters wore lamps and candlesticks on the head. Same patterns decorated ceramics, glass and metal. Art Nouveau style has sometimes features of Japanese and Asian art. This art seceded from earlier more severe styles. I would have called it bohemian in a divine and interesting way!

Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an austrian symbolist painter. Klimt´s primary subject was the female body. He was an Art Nouveau painter that was one of the most popular artists by the time. Below you´ll see two of his most famous work. Read more about him here.

The kiss

Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860-1939) Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist. best known for his distinct style and his images of women. He produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, and designs. You could read more about A.M, here.

Erik Satie (1866-1925). This is one of the most famous composers/pianists at his time, actually when Art Nouveau where most active. Maybe he got his inspiration from this fantastic art or the artists may have listened to him when they made their artwork? :)

"Culture, The Currency Of Tomorrow"

"Culture, the currency of tomorrow".
Mood board for the presentation of my first autumn/winter collection at Art College 2010. The presentation of the collection where hold 10/11/19.

The question of who/where you would have been if your decisions where different yesterday, is interesting. What shapes us? Is it the destiny, or can we affect our future? Maybe partly, curiosity develop us. Which steps you choose to take in life, what you would like to have in your life, will shape you at the end.

Cultures inspire, my inspiration is to introduce two cultures for each other, as if two families with different backgrounds chat over a cup of tea and where they could narrate tales, exchange thoughts, feelings or maybe clothes, enriching! In the mood board you can see people from the nordic countries visiting an oriental environment. And they fit in a interesting and beautiful way! Scandinavia vs The Middle East.

This is some handmade flats for this collection. The required quantity where at least five designed pieces but four had to be sewed and ready for the presentation.

My collection contained of one draped dark green dress that have wrinkled cuffs with gold small buttons that have little black in it. I liked to have gold details that almost where black or got brown, like metal rust. I where curious of having lines that was structured but yet very abstract. The wrinkles are structured chaos.

The second piece in my collection is the conservative but get loose fit blouse that also have this wrinkly cuffs and gold buttons. The recurrent details are the gold jewellerys, the inspiration for that comes from when I observed the swedish and norwegian traditional costumes. I mainly liked the traditional jewellerys the costumes had. The beautiful big silver and crystal like detailed jewellerys they got for gifts on their birthday or as an inherit. Every part had an personal and interesting history to remember.

At first I wanted to attach a wrinkled neck part with the blouse, but on my working process I thought of having it separate from the blouse and just design it like a piece on it´s own. The new idea that I had was that you could have it on with some other blouse, dress etcetera. The picture above shows just a part of the whole idea, but I thought it would be interesting to submit it anyway. I´ll put a picture of the blouse soon.

This is one example of those fantastic jewellerys I saw in Norway.

The third part of the collection is this transparent top, the idea of that was to construct the hole top trying to avoid seems. My wish was to erase them all! But I think my teacher thought I wished to much.. :) At the end the design had just the side seems and a little bit on the left shoulder. Anyway I had a great time learning so many things just through one piece! It was interesting to think in a different way like that.

This is how the construction looked like at first, some changes where done after that to make it work better. The blouse has an open wrap-around part lower back.

I´ve also done a long simple skirt that you could wear underneath the last piece that is the most different piece that I designed in this collection. It is a graceful but yet a powerful train that could transform into a cape by pulling the train over the shoulders. To do that it will give a more dramatic look that will sort of complete the whole inspiration of the collection.. the nordic vs the oriental culture. The noble conservative style vs the graceful oriental look.

Also here I wanted to built something new by mixing two cultures. The lower back of this have two necklaces that I spontaneously bought in Hamburg on a outdoor market. I did´nt know what to do with them. But I really like to collect things to mix with other things some other time or just wait for the right moment to use it.

..he came to visit like every year, he did´nt talk that much at night but he had a serious relationship with a woman at daytime but was still so far away from her. He talked a lot to make her come closer and shine on him like never before... every year the relationship bloom at june.. like every relationship on earth, they never gave up on each other! They where never afraid of being sometimes alone and far away from one another. This is the story about the earth and the sun.. they can´t live without each other but they do have to be alone sometimes..

I met my star 9 years ago, it was always there, it shined on me but at first I did´nt understand it.. and now I don´t understand anything without it!

Since august last year I´ve been studying fashion design at Art College, I will show some of my designs soon. The first week we got a small project to do a mood board that had the word "new" as theme. The mood board I did, had a lot of patterns that visualized a fantasy sky, I used an old drawing that you could find on the submission "A Symbiotic City In Love"

The word "new" are associated to the road. That is the new road in my life. The woman that is walking on the road is me or anyone that has changed direction in their life and now trying to reach the goal. Unfortunately it is difficult to see the small silver birds that also are on the sky. The birds symbolize freedom, and the chains that the woman to the left are holding are symbolizing everything that is important in my life, family, friends.. the chain of love that makes me stronger on my way to the goal!

..this is what I call visions captured in heaven! You could see the beauty of every individual face. Great art gives you the feeling of unity! You could almost feel like if you where a part of it. And where you could experience a feeling or a thought that you never been in touch with before!

The artist lives in a world full of fantastic images! A childhood surrounded by her fathers architecual knowledge. Images through photography, illustrations, computer generated animated graphics and so on.. The colours of her expressions are free, the images are sensual just like her. That loves and celebrate life in every different angle! This is without any hesitations her mission on earth!

I found this artist by a chance. I guess that´s when you find great things. When you´re not looking for it! And suddenly it´s there.. looking at you.. some art feels like if it´s talking to you. I really enjoy the way this artist captured those expressions. I think the human body in art or just faces are very interesting and affect me a lot. The name of the blog says really what I think about faces.. that the face says it all! "WedgeHitch"=Your face in arabic. I will hunt faces alive or in art as long as I live! Because that is where I get my inspiration among other things.

This artist is also a makeup artist and hair stylist. I was really curious to read more about him, but unfortunately I can´t speak french. The site is in french. If you like to read more about him, click on his name or on one of the pictures, David Chapel.

I like the way D.C draw the lines. They look like lines but every line has its own unique shape at the same time embraced by it´s own special color!

This is so cute, the facial hair removing technique aren´t the most glamourous thing to look at in real life.. but he made it look interesting!

I visited this artists vernissage a few months ago, she was very happy to show her paintings that are reflections of her internal and deepest thoughts.

This is her biggest hobby and she is self-taught, she is very humble and don´t approve herself as an artist. - "This is just a way to find internal peace, I´m not an artist" I didn´t agree, because art is a way to express a feeling or thought! I don´t believe people need degrees in everything! People can show feelings in different ways!

It was interesting to hear about what she wanted to express through the paintings.. and some things she said moved me and made me think about how many important things we take for granted in life, and that we should take care of and appreciate more!

In this artwork the artist want to raise the question about why women often hide and don´t value themselves. They are mostly in the background of many issues in the world! Women should´nt be ashamed of their thoughts and don´t be afraid to talk about them.. last but not least to appreciate their beauty and be proud of it!

Central Russia, this is a collection of color photographs taken between 1909 and 1912 by the photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii (1863-1944) he took pictures of the Russian Empire with the support of Tsar Nicholas II. He used a specialized camera to capture three black and white images in fairly quick succession, using red, green and blue filters. The great quality of the images, with the bright colors, make it difficult to believe that they are 100 years when the photographer captured them, neither the Russian Revolution nor World War I had yet begun. The collection are a few of the hundreds of color images that the LIbrary of Congress made available.

How Humane Are Humans?

I will never find the best artist in the world, there is no such thing. When I search for inspiration I always think that people express things in their way and that is nourishing.. the most important thing is witch feeling you receive and not how the art is made.. that actually don´t mean that much.. it depends of course in what it is, but the feeling you get is what matters first! And there is thousand undiscovered feelings! No artist will be the best.. except the King Michael Jackson of course but no one could compare themselves with him! R.I.P. Every artist has a "few" nerves in every human to touch!

The more we feel and see the more we´ll develop!

I was flying home from a trip a few days ago and at the air port there was a man having severe cramps that to me that has worked in the health-care was indicating to be epilepsy. The thing is that the cramp should have calmed down after a short time but was still continuing.. and the man that maybe was in his forties stopped breathing and I didn´t find any puls neither in his arms or on the neck.. I have seen similar situations before.. but this time I was´nt prepared for it.. Of course in my desperate and unreal moment I started to prepare my mind for a CPR.. but he did take a breath seconds after that...

I tried to call for help to get health care immediately but no one reacted except the person that found him first.. and people were just walking by.. I really do´nt mean to appear like some hero or something.. What happened just happened by a chance.. maybe I would have reacted the same? The man did get help and he got better.. but the feeling that this experience gave me was indescribable!! I felt sick, disgust.. is that was our humanity of an so-called modern "fully developed" society should look like? Can´t we even help a person that is "dying" in front of us? How would they feel if that happened to them? I know that we´re not living in some kind of Disney World.. but would it cost that much to stop, take the phone and call for some help!? Nothing but the phone call! To be humane!

How humane are this creatures that is called the smartest animal on earth?

I love this artist behind this short film. I was shivering through it, it´s maybe not that advanced in it´s production.. but I felt so much by seeing it! Like how strong do we think that we are? You will never wake up some day and feel that everything is perfectly fine in you life! We should not forget how delicate we are.. flesh in movement for some years.. hopefully 70 healthy years if we´re lucky! Sad to spoil this living machine that has blood as fuel.. it should be shown more respect!

This is how the artist describes his film.

The name of it is GHOST, a study of model Natasha Poly. An investigation into the obsessive behavior of the public eye and it´s lingering effects on those chased and caught by it. The piece utilizes multiple shots, all presented head-on, giving the audience an opportunity to experience the deconstruction of an icon as it strips the beauty out of fashion. /Marco Brambilla

I don´t think I´ve ever seen art that incredible in my life! Like if it was Gustav Klimts art, Michelangelos, Van Goghs all together.. but in a magically touching movements! Holi the festival of colors in India

Holi is a spring festival, celebrated by hindus, sikhs and others. It last sometimes up to sixteen days, also named Dhuli Vandana in Sanskrit. People celebrate it by throwing colourpowder and coloured water at eachother. It is an joyful festival, it starts around early March. The people belive that the colours represents energy, life and joy!

I was hooked on those amazing photos. The photographer are talented and the people so gorgeous in all colours! You almost feel the spirit so close, like if you where there! Joy! For some days there are no seriousness, no differens between old, young, rich or poor.. would it be so bad having more festivals in the world than all the hate among us? Where there is colours there is love!

I like how DVN designs in a way that brings so many influences from many parts of the world. I see ethnical colors, styles but he also brings a touch of the modern woman. Together it is so edgy, beautiful, sophisticated, fabulous, elegant..! I can go on and on praiseing those pieces that I choosed among others from Spring RTW 2010. I want every peace!

...now I´ll talk about the jewellerys.. look at them NOW! There! The Look and the jewellerys said it all! Fierce!

So much colours, so much prints but the looks are sooo harmonical to eachother anyway! Well done Dries Van Noten! Keep on the good artistical spirit of yours while I find out how, where, why.. you get your ideas!? Are they sellable in a jar or something?

I´ll Dream Deep, Wake Up And explode!

..I want a brake, it should go fast and easy.. and i don´t need more than a minute.. a minute of silence. Is there an opportunity for a human being to choose to do that entirely voluntary? I have no control, I just think and wish I had. If it isn´t the society that rules over me there is something else that make my heart beat..

..today is a day when my soul is outside my body.

I´m surrounded by these endless demands.

You should be solid in all weathers, if you once fall down and can´t get up then it has to be something wrong with you.. you will get a diagnose and be categorized. I want to drop of this world, just for a minute. And hear nothing else than my heartbeats slowly quiet and settle in silence. Flow with the water like if I was a piece of it.. to gather power to move on.. wake up and explode into an unworn shape! Being almighty my own world!

This image really captured my eyes the first time I saw it.. the first thought that hit me was: what was this great artist thinking during the making? It was so dreamy and fantastic! I just had to ask him in person. And he gave me a nice and interesting answer back.
