Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week. Just wanted to pop on real quickly and let you know about my Instagram. Hi friends, oh how I have missed everyone and my blog so much. Its been a rough few months for me and my family that I hope you can forgive my absence for so long. If you are my friend or follow me on facebook then you will know whats happened. If not, heres just a little update. The hardest was last Mothers Day when my Mom was rushed to the hospital. She hadnt told anyone but apparently she had bronchitis and because she had no insurance (her work didnt offer) she let it go and it turned into full blown pneumonia. Very very bad pneumonia. I wont go into all the details because its still so fresh and new and it will be coming up on one year soon but she was in the hospital for a very long long time and did not recover. She passed away over a month later in the hospital. There was nothing that could be done. My family and I were devastated, she is so young and was always pretty healthy as far as anyone knew or that she would let on. Its been rough, I miss her but more so my daughter and my nephew miss their grandma so much. She was always much better at being a Grandma than Mom. And I was happy about that because she was starting to change and come around for the better. It was harder having to say goodbye and not being able to talk to her was worse because she was intubated the whole time. I miss her everyday, its still fresh. So after that happened, life has happened to. But I will have some very exciting news coming very soon and I cant wait to share some new creations and fun crafty news with you. I still cant believe we lost Papercrafts Magazine and Two Peas in a Bucket. I really miss all the fun with both of them. Glad all the wonderful people are still around but I miss all the fun groups and the fun of trying out for publication. I am excited for my dear friend Vanessa opening her new shop, Butterfly Reflections Ink. If you havent already, check out her new online shop for crafty goodies its awesome and so is she! So proud of you girly!! I have lots more to share but I just wanted to pop in a lil note and say HI and let you know im back. I also just moved my Daddy in and my studio got kicked out into another room but I am enjoying having more space to do stuff with the kids and maybe I hope to teach or have some friends over soon. I also hope to have a new look to my blog soon with more of my sweet owls. :) Have a great weekend everyone!! Hope you are all doing well. Lots of love, Jenny S. Hi everyone!! It sure is cold outside. It's finally winter in California. It's been warm all year till just recently.

I also would like to send my prayers out to Connecticut and the families affected by the horrible tragedy that occurred Friday. Our hearts are very heavy. While we should be celebrating the joys of this time of year, we are praying and coming together for those little lives lost and those Heros that saved lives. My daughter has really taken the news hard and has been a bit closer with me and sleeping with us. HUGS your little ones a little tighter right now.

HI EVERYONE!!
Im back! :) Are you excited? LOL! Hope everyone's doing great! It's been a crazy summer and fall has started off crazy too. My Dad was in the hospital and had a minor stroke, hes doing much better now but taking it day to day. If you pray ... please send some prayers for my Dad. Thank you.

Hi everyone!!

Its that time again. Back to school and back to it. I am really glad summer is over. I love the extra time with my kiddo but its nice to be back to a schedule. Sorry I have been quiet, I have had allot of doctor appointments lately for my back. Trying to find help for my back but so far I haven't had much luck. But I am not giving up yet.

My girl started 6th grade this year, so proud of her. She was so nervous that morning. It was so cute.

Just wanted to give a little update and let you know im here. :) My blog will be busy, busy now that break is over and I am doing more working at home. And I have some BIG news coming soon to share with you. Also some new sponsors will be jumping on board so I can do some sweet givaways soon.
I hope you all enjoyed your summer!!! I wish I could have enjoyed it a little more but with my back issues I had to stay behind most of the time. But I still had fun. We took a few trips to Santa Cruz, San Jose, San Fran, the beach and more. It was great to get away.
I would love to know how your summer was!? Leave me a note, I love to hear from you all. I am so ready to get back on track and excited for whats to come and I cant wait to share it with you all.

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great start to your week.
Today I am sharing a card with you for this months Glue Dots inspirational projects. This months focus is on July 4th Holiday and Baby Showers. I picked Independence Day project.

This would be a GREAT card to make a set to send to OPERATION WRITE HOME. I think I am going to make more and send some to them. There are a few more great sentiments in this stamp set.

Here are the instructions for making this card if you would like to recreate it:

Instructions:

1. Make 4.25" x 5.5" card from cardstock

2. Adhere twine with strips from Glue Dots Glue Lines.

3. Stamp stars and pennants with blue and red stamp ink. Cut out and Adhere with Glue Dots Pop Up dots.

4. Stamp sentiment with red stamp ink.

Project Life update and news!

Hi everyone! Hope your week is going great!

Did you happen to catch Craft Wars Tuesday? It was so great. My friend Christy was on the show, I just love what she did. I wont spoil it for anyone but if you haven't caught the show, you shouldn't miss it! Its on TLC. I would LOVE to try out for the show but I am TERRIBLE under pressure. I would crack LOL!

I am counting down the days until I can spill the beans on one of my secrets! Only a few more days to go until I can shout it from the roof!! I am SO excited!!

First I am sharing Week 19, 20 & 21:

Left Side:

For this week, my theme is Echo Park papers!

We had a wonderful dinner at an Italian restaurant. We had lots of fun and giggles. And I showed her this week how to flat iron her hair and how to do some other things with her hair.

This week was also my daughters first Choir concert. She was so great! She loves to sing, its one of her passions. Sorry some of it is blurred, I had to blur out the names of her school and classmates.

I'm a proud mommy!! Shes so fabulous!

Week 20-21 Left Side:

The theme for these weeks is Dear Lizzy.

This week was fun and hard. Mothers Day weekend I got a wonderful breakfast from my hubby and my DD gave me a sweet handmade gift and hubby gave me flowers too. We had the solar eclipse this week. I watched my nephew on the weekend. And I sadly had to take my daughter to the hospital. Her asthma was giving her trouble. But she is ok now.

Carmellas first bath. She was not happy LOL!

Right side:

We also had some fun this week. I got to spend allot of time with my nephew. We had a blast hanging out together. And hubby put up some pretty climbing flowers in the planters. I got lots of happy mail which I LOVE!

Just a great month. Better than Feb-Mar-Apr which was pretty hard for me. I am so glad to finally have some happiness in my life. Its nice for a change.

Santa Cruz Mini Album

Hi everyone!! :) Hope your week is off to a great start!It is SO nice to be feeling good again and getting my MOJO back. Hes been lost for a long time while I went through some hard times. But its made a good return and I have been busy busy creating with Project Life, a Mini Album and designing some new stamps that you will be seeing in the next month or two. I have some BIG announcements coming in July and August and I can't wait to share with you. It's eating me up holding them secret. lol
Today I am sharing a Mini Album I did of our trip to Santa Cruz, CA area. We had so much fun on our trip. We visited Santa Cruz, San Jose and San Francisco.

I used the album from October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection. I love this album.

Travel Record. We are heading to Santa Cruz RV Resort in Felton, CA.

Our Pomeranian Prince was having fun driving us to the yard to pick up our trailer. LOL! He was so sleepy he passed out! (We were parked for this picture)

The second day on our vacation we drove to San Jose to visit the Winchester House. While my daughter and hubby toured the house I went to a local Scrapbook store. It was a great day!

For dinner on this day we went to Buca di Beppo! YUM! Was so good!

Third day we hung out at camp all day to check out the campgrounds. I went for a walk around the camp while hubs and kid went to get her a scooter since we forgot our bikes (oops!)

Fourth day was the BEST day! We took a trip to San Fran!! It was so much fun!! We drove over the Golden Gate and then we drove around and checked out the town. We had lunch at The Original Buffalo Wings ... omgosh it was SO SO good!! We drove down Lombard St. and it was so neat! Then we headed to Pier 39 to check out the shops and sights. The pups got the most attention at the pier! We stopped and picked up Joes Crab Shack for dinner then went to the park and ate. While we were stopped me and my girl spotted some super cute Owl hats and we HAD to have them!

LOL! Such a blast!

Fifth day I stayed at camp to rest my back from all the fun in San Fran. I was so sore. So hubs and kiddo went to the Roaring Camp and road the train. So fun!

Then they went down to Santa Cruz and played at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. They had a BLAST! I wish I could have gone too. The kiddo got a bracelet and rode a TON of rides over and over. She had so much fun! Then they went mini golfing. And for dinner they brought me fish and chips and clam chowder from the boardwalk. It was so amazing!

The next day we headed back to Santa Cruz to do some antiquing and shopping. I found an AMAZING art store called Palace Art Supplies. It was HUGE and had so much great stuff. I got some great goodies there. Then we drove down to see the lighthouse and the ocean. We had dinner at a little greek restaurant, it was amazing.

Almost everyday my hubs made us pancakes, he makes the best! They were so good! We watched some movies together and relaxed. Enjoyed some smores over the campfire YUM!

It was just a great, great vacation!! We had so much fun! So sad that its over but we were all also homesick. Kinda glad to come home! :)

I hope you enjoyed my mini album and thanks for letting me share with you my fun and amazing vacation with my family!

Next, when I get time, I want to do a mini with this daybook. I just love Amy's stuff.

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week so far.

We are on vacation in Santa Cruz, CA. We are having such a great time so far. So nice to have some relaxing time and family time. I have needed this for a long time and my hubby has been waiting for this vacation for awhile now and planning it. We visited San Jose today and Thursday we are heading to San Francisco. Im excited to see San Fran again, I haven't been there in years and my hubby and daughter never have been there. I cant wait to show them the city and the Golden Gate bridge. Quite exciting.

Hi friends! How are you?Hope you all are having a great weekend! I am enjoying this long weekend. So far I have spent the weekend with my nephew and watching/hanging out with him. We have had so much fun.
It is SO nice to finally get my MOJO back and get back into my routine. After 2 surgeries for a lumbar epidural steroid shot in my back for me, my Dad going through 2 surgeries on his heart, taking my daughter to the ER last weekend to find out what was going on with her because she was coughing so much and was having chest pains and couldn't breathe very well ... just with everything thats happened in the past two months I have been very stressed, depressed and worried. But now that my Dad is doing better, I am doing better and my daughter is getting better I feel so much better without all the worries on my mind.
I just want to say thank you to all my wonderful friends who have been so great through all of this and have given me so much support and lifted me up when I needed it so badly. Thank you so much! I love you all.
To get my mind off the worries and onto the fun hobby I have been neglecting I decided to work on my Project Life. And I have to say I am having a blast with it! And I would love to share with you all!! (: (:

I have been working/starting with Week 18. I am going to try and get most of week 1-17 done but it will take a bit to get caught up so I am going to make those weeks pretty simple.
But for week 18 I just love embellishing each card and picture. It's so much fun.

This is wk 18 pt 2. This week my daughter and I went shopping for her for some new clothes. We had a blast at the mall then we came home and she modeled for me. (: (: So cute!

My theme for wk 18 part 2 is Heidi Swapp. I used allot of her new collection. Also used some Studio Calico stamps and accessories, washi tape, and The Crafts Meow stamps.

This is my favorite page, I love all these papers by Heidi Swapp and these new stamps by Studio Calico and Ali Edwards. This side is more of our shopping trip and her first time sewing. Great memories. I also used the Jenni Bowlin Composition notebook stamp to make a little book detailing our trip.

This is Wk 18 pt 1. Documented my weight loss. I have lost 41 lbs. so far! YAY! Feels so good. Also on the this page is art time with my buddy (my nephew) he drew auntie some pictures that I saved. And movie night at the bottom. Week 18 pt 1 theme is Amy Tangerines new line. Love it! I also used my new Studio Calico stamps and accessories again, some things I printed on my new Silhouette Cameo, and washi tape.

Update and News!

Hi everyone! I have missed you all. As you can see I have been on a bit of a hiatus while things are crazy for me right now. I have had 2 surgeries for my back, called a "Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injection" ... the first one didn't take so we did a second one last Friday. I don't know if that will take just yet. Also some other personal things have been happening with myself and my family so I have been dealing with those as well. My Dad has had surgery twice for his heart but hes finally doing much better now.
I also took a trip a couple weeks ago down to Arizona to meet with some amazing people!!
And now I can spill the beans and say ...

I will be working for SPELLBINDERS!! (: (:I'm so excited for this new adventure!!It will be a bit before I have everything to share with you but be on the lookout for all the great things to come!!! (: (: (:

I am hoping with the last shot I had in my back that I will be feeling better soon and will have some great things and exciting news coming soon!! :) :) Stay tuned! And prayers or healing thoughts are truly appreciated!

The Crafts Meow April Sneak Peeks Day 4!!

Hi everyone!! I wish I could have posted the last couple of days for the sneak peeks but my back has really been bothering me and I couldnt sit that long to make cards. But I was able to manage a couple of projects today using my newest set design for TCM called "Owl Journaling" and "Vintage Rides" by Nina Brackett.
First one I would like to share is a page I did for my Project Life using some pictures from Winter CHA 2012.

Sneaks from my new set "Owl Journaling" on this page are the Banners, Notebook, Polaroid, Banner, Date Circle, Scallop Edging, Numbers and of course the big Owl! :) The rest of the goodies are from the new Amy Tangerine collection that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE! I love the bright colors!!

You will just love my newest set ... this is PERFECT for all you Project Lifers, Scrapbookers and Smashbookers! (: It has plenty of goodies for all your journaling needs! I cant wait to show you the whole set!! (: (:

Getting Crafty with Glue Dots!

Hi everyone! It's so nice to start getting back into my routine. Life spiraled out of control for a month but things are finally settling down a bit, not all the way, but its getting better. I saw the back specialist today and I will be getting another set of Steroid Epidural shots in my back so I can function again. I went to the ER a couple of weeks ago in the ambulance because of my back and I was home alone but all is well now and we are working on finding the solution to the pain because the problem is not really fixable. But the last time I had the shot it helped me tremendously so I am so ready for another one.
Also I will be gone next weekend for a few days on a secret trip to meet up with a company for some exciting crafty stuff coming up for me! I cant wait to share!! (: LOTS MORE great and exciting things happening soon!!
Today I would like to share with you my projects from March for Glue Dots. I didn't get a chance to share with you after my Dad had the heart attack. I have been spending time with him and family. Plus the issues with me. And also my daughter having some breathing issues. But we are doing much better and getting things fixed. But prayers would be MUCH appreciated :)
My first project I would have LOVED to share with you last month since its an EASTER project but I still just have to share with you.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how this card turned out!!! The colors are just my favorite!! I used lots of GLUE DOTS on this project: Pop Up Glue Dots and Craft Glue Dots. They come in so handy for me, I love the dots on the rolls. The stamp set is illustrated by ME :) for The Crafts Meow - its called "Owl See You in the Spring". This super cute paper is by Doodlebug Designs called "Hello Spring". I just love Doodlebug papers. The owl in the egg is colored with Copic markers. And the Hexagons are cut with Lifestyle Crafts dies.

Card Instructions:

1. Make card from cardstock, 4.25" x 5.5".

2. Die cut hexagon shapes with patterned paper of your choosing.

3. Adhere shapes with Glue Dots Pop Up dots and Craft dots.

4. Color and cut out owl bunny and egg. Adhere with Pop Up Dots.

5. Use gel pen and highlight around shapes.

6. Stamp sentiment and enjoy!

Doodlebug Designs 6x6 Hello Spring paper

My next project I did tonight so I could share a card thats not a holiday thats past already. And I just love how it came out with this cute washi tape.

I used some Washi Tape from Target for the background. LOVE the washi tape they are carrying now in the stationary section. Its SO cute!

Card Instructions:

1. Make card from cardstock. 4.5"x 5.5"

2. Adhere washi tape along card.

3. Stamp umbrella onto washi tape with Stazon. Cut out and adhere with Glue Dots Pop Up dots.

4. Stamp owl and color with Copics. Cut out and adhere with Glue Dots Mini dots.

5. Stamp sentiment and clouds, cut out and adhere to card.

6. Enjoy! (:

Hi everyone! I usually dont post too much personal things but I just wanted to ask you all for Prayers if you pray or send healing thoughts please for my Daddy.
He had a heart attack last week. Thank God no major damage was done but I am looking out for him and helping him out.
I just wanted to ask for prayers for my Daddy and my family. This is not the only thing that has happened in the last couple of weeks. It just feels like we are having a bad March and I am glad March is behind us now and I hope April will be better. I fell and my back went out the Friday before last and I had to go into the hospital. Looks like they have to do another shot into my back, I see the specialist this week. Before I went into the hospital I have been dealing with my little guy, Indiana, my Pomeranian. He hurt his foot which turned out to be his back but we still haven't pinpointed the problem. After 4 visits to my "old" vet I found a new vet who has been really helping us out. Hes doing much better now.
So if you are the praying kind, please send some prayers. We really could use them right now if you have some to spare.
