Came across this interesting photo taken May 12, 2002. This was the location of what once was a very busy hub of activity: Fishermen's Bridge & Fishermen's Village. I vacationed here with my Aunt Lucile Christopherson, her husband, Merrill, and my cousin Robert in 1958. It was my first trip to Yellowstone.

I remember the ranch had a large concrete swimming pool. Robert (who was about a year or two older than me) and I had a contest to see who could do the longest running broad jump into the pool, and see who could go the farthest as we both ran about 25 yards and leaped into the H2O. We never imagined that the water would be ice-cold even though it was late July. Well, I don't remember who won the running long-jump, but I vividly remember the feel of the freezing, cold water on my 8-year-old skin. This turned out to be the first of many "Polar Bear" plunges I would take over the subsequent 54 years!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Cold, gasp, gasp and gasp!!!

Here are some photos from the Hawaiian vacation we took early this year with the Jex Family. Jeff & Anne Jex family were living in Kaneohe at the time and we all rented cabins at Bellows Beach. Sure enjoyed the visit.

Well, there's no guessing about it, he is the fair headed grandson, even if his hair is not "fair" but brown. Betty and I spent some time with him and his family a week ago when we flew out west for my Mother's funeral. Had a great time with all the Weenig cousins, GG's great-grand-kids and spouses. Also saw plenty of friends from Provo, Ogden, Logan and Edgemont, UTAH (We love thee).

These are the photos we made over Christmas Vacation 2010. We visited my nephew, Major Jefferson Weenig Jex in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii and stayed at Bellows Air Station on the windward side of Oahu. En joyed our visit immensely and what a fun crowd to be with: My sister Kay and brother-in-law Dr. Rodney M. Jex, Rob and my neice Emily Boyle and their whole kit-n-kaboodle, and niece Michelene Jex (now Michelene Anderson).

Stijnus Schotte, a relative on the Stout family line, and Pat at his farm in Nieuwerkerk, Netherlands. Pat and I were really tired after our trans-atlantic flight but we enjoyed our visit with Stijnus and his mother, Adriaana Schotte who has since passed away. We also visited his antique car museum. Stijnus paid a visit to Utah last summer in his antique 1903 Spijker (Spyker) automobile.
