Have you been wondering what that video last week was all about? Well, enough of all that suspense! That was Lizard Kisses giving us a little idea of what to expect of their (and our) next EP.

Lizard Kisses are Marc Merza and Cory Siegler, they not only craft some of most beautiful and lush dreamy pop we’ve heard in ages, but are also serious DIY adepts – their previous releases include handpressed tapes and (very) limited and uniquely packaged 7″ splits.

So it goes without saying that we’re completely in love with them, and ecstatic to announce we’re putting out their next project, a exquisite four track EP entitled Loving Creatures.

Limited to 160 hand crafted copies, sewn and silkscreened by Cory and Marc themselves and artwork by Edie Fake. Available to PRE-ORDER NOW.

Baffin Island first came to be for EardrumsPop’s Between Two Waves compilation, that got bands and musicians from all over of the world to collaborate on a project, and the result was a great collection of songs.

Without having ever met each other in person, The Very Most (Idaho, USA) and The Hermit Crabs (Glasgow, Scotland), got to work on a song for the comp and enjoyed it so much, that they kept on writing songs together.

They later released a lovely single, also on EardrumsPop, and finally got to meet each other and play live for the first time last year at Glasgow Popfest (check out some of their set here).

Now, we’re delighted to announce their new EP, featuring four shiny new songs that we can’t stop listening to.

The EP will be officially out next Monday, October 8th, and is now available to pre-order.

WeePOP! is turning five this summer and to celebrate it we have all kinds of exciting stuff going on.

Over the past years, we got to put out some of our top favourite bands, and we couldn’t be prouder of our little catalogue. When we started thinking about doing something fun for the anniversary, we wondered what could possibly be better than releasing our favourite songs… and we figured the answer is… RE-REALEASING THEM!

So we invited THE BANDS ON THE LABEL TO COVER EACH OTHER’S SONGS.

The result is a incredibly special double LP pressed on coloured vinyl with beautiful artwork by Nick Edwards. I could go on and on about how excited we are about this, but instead I’ll just let you go check out the tracklist here.

We should get the records back from the pressing plant in the next couple of weeks and it’s available to pre-order now. The first 5 people to pre-order, also get a weePOP! tote bag, which brings us to the next bit of exciting anniversary news:

Jacob Borshard is going to be in London this July and will grace us with the rare treat of a live performance with the lovely Owl+Mouse on July 18th.

Everything is happening at Orbital Comics, a great comic book shop in the west end, so expect to be surrounded by books, comics and zines as you watch the ukulele go.

Oh, and did I mention it’s free? It’s Freee!!

As some of you know, we’ve had a Just Joans album in the works for a little while, and we’re extremely excited to announce that it’s now finished, ready to go, aaaaand available to pre-order.

If you squint your eyes a little, this could be considered the Just Joans first full-length. The majority of the tracks here appeared in a different form on “Last Tango In Motherwell”, a CD album released back in 2005 when the band was simply David and Chris.

Now, completely reworked into a pop concept album set in late 90s Scotland, ‘Buckfast Bottles in the Rain’, is everything you’ve come to expect of the Just Joans, complete with gorgeous artwork by Katie Pope.

As usual, it’s a limited run of 500 copies, each hand assembled and numbered.

The Just Joans are playing an album launch show in Glasgow on March 30th at Heavenly with support from The Power Cut Choir and The Hector Collectors; and hopefully a London show very soon as well.
