to the person who made the fish comment: it's called pesca-veganism. Fish don't hurt or feel, and are healthy for you. Milk requires the cow to be pregnant, so they force semen into the cow before it's mature/ready, inject hormones and abuse it. Once it gives birth, it's too weak to stand anymore (because it wasn't ready to be pregnant), so they slaughter them.  I've done my research, I know what I'm talking about. Type in "Meet your meat" in youtube and you'll learn. Plus, the human body is not designed to consume dairy, our digestive systems are just not designed for it. They adapt obviously, but it isn't natural. We're not meant to eat meat either. We are designed to eat plants.</p>

I do have my own weight bench and free weights however. I am almost the skinniest senior in the school and I want to gain weight and muscles. I am athletic (I play football and baseball) and I wanted to get bigger before baseball season in March. Any detailed suggestions on some sort of routine or regimen would be welcomed.</p>

<p>Do Starting Strength, a program that Mark Rippetoe, a former professional powerlifter, created. You lift weights 3 times a week, alternating between 2 workouts.

A. Squat 3x5
Overhead Press 3x5
Deadlift 1x5

B. Squat 3x5
Bench Press 3x5
Power Clean 5x3

Every workout, you add weight to each lift. Depending on your progress, this will be 5-20 lb. These are compound movements, and, all together, they work pretty much every muscle in your body. After a few weeks, add in Chinups, Pullups, or Rows if you want.

The program also has a diet component. At 5'10", you should be closer to 190 lb. Eat well (4000+ calories daily) and drink whole milk (up to a gallon daily if you have trouble gaining weight). Do that, and you will put on muscle.

I've been doing this program for a few months. I'm 6'1", 213 lb, up from 205 lb. From my first workout, I've added 170 lb to my Squat, 90 lb to my Deadlift, and 70 lb to my Bench Press. My chest, triceps, back, and quads have swole up. It works!
