This is also something to watch out for when eating out. The innocent looking meal may have huge numbers of hidden calories in just the sauce that comes on the side. If you are eating what appears to be good food, but not losing weight, skip the extras and stick to what you know. Well, the studies have proved that the DNA of person can hamper their weight loss programs. They may try a lot to lose weight but the DNA hampers the weight loss progress. The scientists have proven that genetics and weight loss are linked to one another, but they also proved that it was not impossible and that at some point or other that the genetically obese test group participants also did lose weight. It just took more effort and time than it did for the average person. Even if the weight loss does not happen as fast as one wants, or even at all, dieting and exercise will still have positive benefits. Purchasing and preparing healthy foods will for yourself or even for your entire family will have many positive effects on your overall well being and health. A healthy way of cooking can lower cholesterol, reduce the risks for heart disease, provide you with valuable energy to keep busy with and your body and cells will have all the nutrients that they need to be as productive and long lasting as possible. Even if the dress size is not what you would like to have, the fact that you are not clogging your arteries, killing your heart and setting yourself up for a stroke should be enough good reasons to still maintain a healthy, nutritious diet. You should adapt a good weight loss routine to get a good result. You should push your limit to exceed in weight loss.&lt;br /&gt;

It is good that scientists have officially linked genetics and weight loss since that gives many a piece of mind and proves that it was not necessarily their fault for their size. However, it does not give a right to just always claim genetics are the problem and even if they are, eating and cooking healthy is still good for you and will counteract to some bit the negative aspects of being obese. The genes decide what our body should be. The hair, the body, the appearance, the weight all are decided by the genes in our body. It is even possible to determine an oddity, mutation or disorder by doing a study on our chromosomes or by doing a DNA map. Scientists have determined features of people only based on this information and were right; even they had never laid eyes on the actual person. Recently researchers have managed to actually recognize and determined which combinations of genes are responsible for retaining body fat and this has been proven in long term studies.  Scientists have said that people with certain gene combinations maintained a certain weight, usually high, no matter what they did they were not able to lose weight. They did not eat bad foods or cook in an unhealthy manner, they exercised and yet nothing seemed to help and if they did actually lose some weight, then only if they kept their diet for a longer period of time and did a lot more exercise than the average person but still were not able to lose weight. This subject has been studied over and over again and has come to the same conclusion.&lt;br /&gt;

It has been proved that weight loss is difficult for those whose genes contain the obesity. Although many people do have bad genetic combinations that program their bodies to retain fats no matter what, others do not necessarily have this and yet claim that they do. The only way of knowing whether or not you are genetically disadvantaged is to have a professional company make a map of your DNA. In some cases, it is not genetics, but a sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle that is responsible for entire families being obese. Without proof, there is no need to just resign to a life of obesity and any time spent cooking healthy feeds, eating right and exercising is time well spent. It is not impossible to lose weight. There is an extensive research done on the genetics to find out the connection between the obesity and genetics. The genetic makeup of humans and many scientists have now determined that genes play a role in our weight. It is known that some people have more trouble losing weight than others and in fact appear to stay heavy no matter what they do and try and nobody believes them when they say that they are doing what they can to lose weight. Geneticists do believe them now, however, and say that they are telling the truth and may very well be fighting a losing battle. The truth is that DNA controls every aspect of our outer looks and it is only logical that what controls hair color, height and complexion will also have something to say as to our weight and if we loss weight fast or not.  This possible link between genetics and weight loss has been long researched by the experts and the results are astounding.&lt;br /&gt;

Dieting will never help if the genetics don't help them. Or maybe you have heard people talk about big bone statures running in the family or even that everyone in the family has the same problem zones, like the stomach, thighs or upper arms. Since other genetic traits are passed on from generation to generation, scientists also believe that heaviness, thinness, muscularity and inability to build up muscle mass are also characteristics that are all programmed into our DNA. The DNA contains all the genes that make us up and by doing a family genotypic history, certain disorders, mutations and physical attributes can all be linked to carriers found in the genotypes of our ancestors. This is a proven fact for a long time already, but it was not proven until recently that our weight characteristics are also given to us and determined long before we are even born. Weight loss can be achieved through resistance training. Resistance training is adding weight to a muscle as it flexes and relaxes during a workout. Take walking for an example. As you step forward, plant your foot, and pull your body forward to match the location of your leg, a certain amount of resistance had to be overcome in order to accomplish taking the step. &lt;br /&gt;

In order to move, walk, pick things up, or throw something, the muscles involved must overcome resistance to accomplish the action. So it goes, that resistance training is to add more resistance forcing the muscle to work a little harder which can be more effective for weight loss. As those in the scientific and medical community begin to take the problem more seriously, prevention and treatment options well become all the more clear and the public will gradually become more informed and thus more equipped to battle weight loss problems effectively. However, research may also bring to light even more health risks associated with overweight and obesity.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Fortunately, obesity is entirely treatable. As well, almost half of U.S. states have been found guilty of not confronting the problem of overweight and obesity rates among their populations.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;But while the obesity epidemic is expected to rise, information is becoming more accessible to the public and more and more attention is being given to the issue as it threatens the quality and longevity of more and more lives.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The plain truth is that overweight and obesity health issues are relatively new to the United States. In the 1980’s, it was hardly a topic of discussion. So medical research and treatment are just a few steps behind, as overweight and obesity rates have doubled in just the past 20 years – it’s thrown the government off guard. The number of gym goers for weight loss has also increased.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;But as these health risks have increased over just two decades, they certainly can be managed in the same amount of time! But cardiovascular disease is even more commonly caused by overweight and obesity. The American Heart Association recently dubbed obesity as a leading cause of heart attacks.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;There are more surprising effects of being overweight, too; some are more minor than others. For instance, did you know that you are more likely to develop carpal tunnel syndrome if you have a severe weight problem? In fact, AOA (American Obesity Association) found that 70% of carpal tunnel syndrome sufferers were overweight! Obese and even overweight persons are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer of the breast, esophagus, colon, uterus, and kidney. Being obese or being overweight is a problem. The scientific research has proved it.  A gene called the FTO gene, on chromosome 16 was found to confer a predisposition to obesity (Frayling et al, 2007). It has been known for some time that genetics play a part in obesity but this study confirms this. It was reported that 16% of the population carry this gene and if an individual carries both copies of this gene they are 70% more likely to be 3kg heavier than average. This discovery emphasises that obesity can not just stem from a poor diet and lack of exercise, but actually, that genetics does play its part. This study does not mean that this gene is solely responsible for obesity and there are likely to be many more genes involved. What this study does do is highlight the impact that genetics can play in the development of obesity and people that are discovered to have this gene can do something about it and take responsibility for their own body, after all. The number of obese people or people being overweight is increasing year by year. Obesity is an increase in adipose tissue, so much so that it can cause a variety of adverse health consequences. These include many emotional and physical problems, for example, emotional problems include feelings of inferiority, low self esteem, and often in children, bullying from classmates. People going to gym for weight loss has become common. The people suffering from obesity is getting doubled every year.
